Ist ist a great place with an amazing design and extreme friendly team. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Loved the manager of the hotel, kind helpful gentleman, Mr Sanjeewa. The location was excellent.

Cleanliness could have been better.

The staff was great, really made us feel appreciated. Breakfast was great too. Pool area was clean, staff even gave our son inflatable toys. We felt comfortable at this hotel!

В соседнем отеле идет ремонт, работает болгарка весь день, очень шумно на всей территории. В номере сильно шумит холодильник, выключала на ночь. Жалюзи на окнах плохо регулируются, держаться на тоненьких веревочках.

I did not check in to the hotel for my stay as the facilities were not as advertised and I was to be the only guest. The garden view room overlooked a rooftop There is no Bar facility The beach is fenced off A shame as with some care it could be a nice place To be fair the gentleman on reception handled my cancellation with grace and I was not charged.

1. There was a fish pond along the corridor (the walking path from the entrance to the room), which was very nice and relaxing to watch. 2. We had to ask for the Wi-Fi password, but once we received it, the connection was strong. The TV in the room could also connect to YouTube, which was a great feature. 3. The staff were friendly and polite, and always had a pleasant attitude.

1. The room floor felt sticky underfoot, which was unpleasant. 2. There was not much variety in the breakfast buffet. 3. Our room door was quite old and made a loud noise when closing, which was uncomfortable and disruptive. 4. There were no floor mats in the bathroom. Also, although the room had a kettle and coffee, there were no spoons provided.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Cared about us.

Customer service was excellent, and every request was handled by staff with great care. They have only a few quiet choices for dinner, and we selected from the à la carte menu. Despite the limited options, the food was really tasty. The location is calm and peaceful perfect for a relaxing break. Highly recommended, and we will visit again.

Sehr freundlicher Check in und man wurde sogar angeschrieben, ob man etwas zu essen haben möchte da wir erst spät am Flughafen gelandeten sind. Das Personal ist wirklich überaus freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind in einem modernen Stil eingerichtet und relativ groß. Generell ist das Hotel trotzdem nicht mehr auf dem modernsten stand

Sehr laut in der Nacht, da viele Kröten in den umliegenden Teichen und wir hatten leider Ungeziefer im Zimmer. (Nicht nur Ameisen oder sowas) Die Lage ist schon sehr weit vom Schuss und eher empfehlenswert für eine Rundreise nach Süden und einer späten Landung am Flughafen in Colombo.

None of the staff who greeted us spoke English, which meant we could not ask questions or receive essential information upon arrival. Although the hotel was in communication with our driver and aware of our arrival time, no arrangements were made for an English-speaking staff member to assist. The room binder stated there would be a safe for securing belongings. In one room, the safe was locked in an open position with no instructions for use. In the other room, the safe was locked shut and completely unusable. Because staff did not speak English, we were unable to seek assistance with these or other issues. On arrival, the restaurant appeared closed with all lights off, although it later turned out to be open. The hotel advertised yoga classes, but none were available. The hotel listed a bar open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., but the bar was clearly not operational—there were no drinks, glasses, or staff. The so-called fitness center contained no gym equipment, only two rolled-up yoga mats, lawn furniture, and an ashtray. The “spa” was simply a room with a massage table next to the gym, and it was unclear whether it was available. When contacted regarding breakfast orders, the manager showed visible annoyance at dietary requirements, and it seems there was a lack of knowledge in dietary requirements. The hotel room floors clearly needed to be mopped; walking barefoot left our feet black. One room had broken cabinets, and both rooms had a bad smell coming from the air conditioner. There were no slippers or robes provided, even though these were listed in the Booking.com details. When we attempted to resolve issues through Booking.com, hotel staff and management refused to reply to Booking.com customer service. The manager later told us we could change our booking from four nights to one, as many of the advertised facilities were not in use. However, they required us to stay one night, even though we did not receive what was advertised. Booking.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The place was clean and spacious, and the location is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet beach getaway. The staff were super friendly, and the food was just amazing. Definitely recommend!

There were only 3 others guests so the property was extremely calm and peaceful. The food was good and the manager Mr Kiran and the staff was extremely supportive with everything.

Outside noices were a little disturbing but it’s fine.

Perfect hospitality, tasty food,calm and peaceful place. Room is really attractive and comfortable. Nice view of the beach. Good and safe pool. Had a great time.

A cabana to enjoy the nice beach view is really required to make the stay better.

The staff were brilliant and the manager Kiran performed his duties well above what is expected of a hotel manager.

Some rudimentary facilities of the hotel are getting a bit rundown and need a renovation.

In its heyday this place would have been amazing, modern design and good layout albeit looking more tired these days- the area has suffered post covid and many of the hotels are still closed and tourism hasn’t recovered. This one is still going and has some amazing things about it. The General Manager is an absolute gentleman who went out of his way, with his team, to give us the best experience. We were on honeymoon and they decorated the bed with petals and gave us a cake which was a lovely touch. The food is lovely, all fresh to order - the breakfast was outstanding. The pool area is clean and the pool lovely, the grounds are well maintained. The bed was so comfy with great pillows and sheets. The hotel backs on to a quiet beach where you could walk for miles!

The decor was tired, our room door/balcony doors were a struggle to open/close, the bathroom window was completely broken and didn’t close, the gym kit is all rusty, and the hotel was empty so no vibe there. It’s not the normal ‘wonderful’ rating on booking.com and the photos are all out of date. However, if you like the idea of the place to yourself, can overlook the issues, want great service and good food - they’d appreciate your booking. They’re good people.

The hotel itself is good and the pool and private beach access is amazing. The staff are very helpful and their sri lankan breakfast was amazing. Overall I would say value for money.

Rooms were good and they had managed to meet our expectations to the max. Staff were friendly and supportive. Nice staff. The backyard was great which had direct access to the beach.

Amazing food, great location on the west facing Indian Ocean. They also arranged a truly first class massage for me as well as dinner by the beach

We really like how quite the place was and it was a beautiful property. Ms. Kalpani and Mr. Jani were very helpful and friendly.

There was so much mosquitoes and wished there was more done for that issue.

- needs more staff, as was basically 2 people cooking, cleaning and helping with everything for the entire hotel - Restuarant was not operational and we could only get limited stuff for breakfast and that was not great and very poor quality to eat - no security at all and hence anyone can walk in to the hotel at any time including the night hence a security issue and not safe, would not feel comfortable for walking in the evening if not in a group. - pool didn’t look clean - card machine was not working for 2 days we were there and hence had to go to the bank to get money to pay, which was a waste of a morning. They didn’t say this until the bill was to be paid. - expensive for what you pay for, more a room rental rather than hotel - The phones are never answered for an emergency or anything needed, need to walk around and fine one of the two people in the staff - bar was not operational, was told to bring liquor from out as they don’t stock it

The rooms were relatively clean and the beds were comfortable.

The pictures shown on booking.com are out of date, the furniture around the pool is falling apart the shared spaces in the hotel such as stairwells are dirty. They are running with skeleton staff and we appeared to be the only guests. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted in a dirty reception area. No information about our stay was given we just paid and were shown our room. There’s a restaurant onsite but there doesn’t appear to be a member of staff to run it. The fitness room well and truly needs upgrading all the equipment is falling apart and rusty, we cleaned the pool ourselves in order to get in it. I understand that tourism has been tough the past few years especially for independent hotels, however this isn’t meeting the basic services it claims to offer in the booking.com description.

It was the first hotel we visited in Sri Lanka and stayed for only one night. We were really satisfied with: Clean bathroom area. Comfortable swimming pool and all facilities around the pool. Room was clean with great big bed. TV with local channels. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Nice view to the ocean from the garden behind the pool zone.

Breakfast might be a little better. Train is in 100 meters of the hotel.

Amazing beach front resort with nice vibes and calming nature with few guests which gave us great privacy. The beach was very nice. Spacious rooms with big bed and clean and spacious bathrooms as well. Cleanliness is at very high level .The pool and facilities good and the restaurant served excellent quality food. Very attentive and helpful staff who went out of their way to serve us. Amazing place and thank you for making it a memorable holiday.

i had a perfect one-night stay at this hotel! The room's cleanliness and value for money were outstanding. The staff struck a great balance between providing privacy and being helpful. The outdoor access to the beach was the perfect place to chill and unwind. Overall, a flawless experience that I highly recommend!

Serendiva is a lovely beach side boutique hotel and we had a really enjoyable short stay. The staff and the service was excellent. The food offered was amazing. The room we stayed was very clean and spacious. We wish we could have extended our stay there. Highly recommended anyone looking for a beach side holiday.

Absolutely wonderful! I felt very comfortable & safe in this gated resort, all the outdoor hang out areas were clean and beautiful. Room was extremely comfortable and unique; gardens and pool are just lovely and the staff are delightful. I am incredibly satisfied with this place and will 100% stay here again.
