In short my friend and I had a perfect stay. A wonderful welcome, secure garage for our motorcycles, lovely rooms, delicious food, and great service. Will definitely return!

Our beautiful bedroom with balcony , he fabulous lounges , bars and pool.The stunning location and outdoor leisure facilities . The charming , friendly staff , in fact almost everything.

My gluten free breakfast was a bit mundane ! No sausage , hash Brown's or black pudding , all readily available in supermarkets. We would have loved to dine in the hotel , however the restaurant doesn't open until 6.50 which is a tad too late for us , and the only option was a four coarse set dinner menu , which was too much for our appetites.

During the meal times the food was served far too quick, no time to chat between courses. Had to sit at the same table each meal so never got to enjoy the view from the restaurant or different parts of the restaurant.

Everything, especially appreciative of the exceptional landscape artworks around the hotel. Really enjoyed the swimming pool after a very hot motorbike ride with the heatwave we were all experiencing week of 11th August 2026. Staff throughout exceptional, everyone happy to greet you, very appreciative of the housekeeping staff and hospitality/ restaurant and kitchen in the heat - big thank you.

Cost is prohibitive, we would like to use this hotel more often if it was more affordable. Wouldn't have normally stayed but had no other options for this particular weekend.

The staff were excellent, polite, welcoming and cheerful.

The food generally could have been better - a steak I had was inedible, being so tough, and the soft boiled eggs didn't make it.

Help yourself to cerals/fruit. Cooked breakfast brought to your table freshly cooked instead of stampede with buffet style. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Staff very attentive.

Location with superb views across the bay. The hotel was comfortable with staff who were cheerful and helpful

Betten waren für uns etwas weich.

Perfect location. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming and friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable with a great sea view.

The "Electric vehicles only" sign in front of the EV chargers was not enforced. The evening meal was one, fixed price (£40 p.p.) for 4 courses. We only wanted one course and so were compelled to eat elsewhere each evening.

Location and views

Garden furniture cushions dirty and untidy. Couldn’t order drinks outside - had to go inside to the bar or reception. An antiquated system in the dining room in terms of paper layout of tables and took ages for staff to locate my table.

A modern hotel with an old world charm. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Great facilities and a short walk to the beach. Dogs are welcome in certain parts of the hotel including the bedroom. We didn’t have the evening meal, although the smell and look seemed delicious.

It would have been nice to have a dedicated dog walk away from relaxing guest or having to walk to the beach over the road.

Everything about the place was wonderful. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to other people. Have to mentioned the amazing staff and especially the receptionist Michelle I think, was really kind and welcoming.

At 55 we were the youngest people there and the average age was 75 I’d say… The lamb was outstanding but other than that the rest of the food was more like a residential home menu., we were offered bread to start with is usually a roll but it was half a slice, the pate was warm, the scrambled egg at breakfast was wet and very sweet as though it was made with protein powder added and no speciality coffees, just filter. No glasses for the water in the rooms and the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Very poor value for money for the price charged

Peace and quiet

Our Favourite hotel for a little break to get away from it all We always have a sea view room with a balcony..Honestly it is so worth the extra and even if the weather is bad the big windows with the armchairs mean you can still appreciate the views! Menu changes daily and always too much food!! Staff are very friendly..cleaners always on hand keeping comunal areas spotless. Nothing to grumble about.

Room ventilation not adequate. ( I stayed during a very hot week ). Tilt n turn window was jammed shut so tilt only. Corridoors very hot - fire doors are kept closed, and no fresh air.

The only option for evening meal was the set menu.

Our room with a terrace had lovely views and the sunset was amazing. The staff where very welcoming and the meals where delicious. I would highly recommend Trefeddian Hotel and will definitely be back.

No breakfast until 7.45 and only choice for dinner was a 4 course meal

So the hotel is beautifully placed on the coast to go and visit Aberdovey and Aberdovey golf course.

The mandatory four course dinner was.a pain. We were not hungry so headed into town to get a small meal. Compulsory 4 courses is off-putting.

The single room we booked was very noisy all night due to machinery (and also had a poor outlook) but the night staff readily changed the room (the double room with sea view which we booked was lovely)

The room was quite noisy and we could here the people above us moving around. Some of the trainees really struggled (especially when trying to serve drinks).

Been before, lovely hotel

All the staff very friendly but perhaps could be a little more cheery on leaving, i.e. "have you had a good stay, are you going home now" etc. Policy on library, needs clarifying either you are welcome to take a book (perhaps with a donation?) or a sign saying for reading in hotel only. Being asked to return a book possibly a year down the line, bit petty for a four star hotel

Being a vegetarian there wasnt much choice. The food could've been better.

4 course dinner only no option to have 2 courses only for the same price as 4 courses. Too much for most guests and although 4 course price reasonable nobody liked the principle of it. Should be other options. Holiday would have been better with choices. Not sure if our room would be 4 star.

Breakfast was really excellent in terms of food quality and the amount. The ambience of the dining area is first class. The entertainment in the evening was the local Aberdyfi male voice choir who serenaded us with traditional Welsh songs making a most memorable evening.

I'm not used to sleeping in a single bed. I should have asked for a room with a double bed.

Room hot a night

The hotel is beautiful and the view from our room was spectacular .

Our room was cramped, too full of outdated furniture , way too much furniture for such a small room. There was a constant tapping all night (we think it was the flagpole directly outside in the grounds) even with all windows closed we were unable to sleep and actually STILL awake at sunrise.

Comfortable stay with fabulous views. Very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our room was quite a bit smaller than the photos. The door to the balcony needed to be propped open with a chair making it not as relaxing/ comfortable to sit outside.

Ontzettend mooi uitzicht ( kamer met uitzicht op zee) heel mooi gelegen, rustige ontspannen sfeer. Het personeel was super behulpzaam en vooral Adam was een enorme hulp voor alle vragen en tips voor mooie wandelingen en uitstapjes.
