The location, grounds and views are stunning. There are pleasant walks around the campus. The staff in reception and the bar were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The room was not clean. The bedding had a bad stale smell which kept us awake. . The bathroom smelled as the shower curtain which was dirty and stained. The sofa was old, kitchenette cupboards have seen better days.

Lack of facilities. We wanted and booked the apartment for the outside pool and the sauna. Found out the the bar was closed on Tuesday.

Location was perfect for us. The indoor pool and spa facilities were good overall. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The landscape around the resort is stunning. Amazing views wherever you looked. Easy to get to Machynlleth or Aberdyfi. Great base to explore from.

The site needs a bit of refurbishment. For example, the sauna wasn't working. The equipment in the kitchen in the apartment was a bit basic. Ok for a short stay but would have been a bit limiting if we had been staying longer.

The apartment was very tired and in desperate need of painting. It had a damp smell, and the cloakroom had no window, just an ineffective extractor fan. Overall, it looked as though it was in need of a thorough clean and some considerable attention.

Clean well equipped and easily accessible for beaches

No WiFi working for the whole week we were there. Not good communication about the facilities

Location is excellent. Handy for coast and country, The 1 bed unit was quite large and had everything you need. Staff were very helpful.

The unit was very 'tired'. It was musty and the carpet is threadbare in places. Could do with an upgrade. Indoor pool and steam room good but outdoor pool and sauna both closed. Tennis court surface was gravel but playable.

The property wasn't cleaned properly, very poor condition and we had to clean it ourselves, cobwebs in all rooms and toilets were dirty. Toilet seat was broken and shower wasn't working properly. Condition of the sofa was all worn out. We weren't given any bedding for the sofa bed and when complained I was told someone would come to clean the rooms but no one came to clean which was very disappointing. Condition of the property needs to be upgraded as it's very outdated and worn out.

The staff was nice, and the location was great, there was fresh air outside.

The cleanliness was 0, the curtains were very dirty, the kitchen was also very dirty, I had to clean the kitchen for a very long time, there were spiders everywhere, they told us that WIFI was free but there was no WIFI there at all!!!!

The property we stayed in was a 3 bedroom with two bathrooms, as soon as we walked in the smell of damp hit us, I opened all the windows but it didn’t help, we couldn’t use the wardrobes as they smelt so much. The whole property was very tired in need of updating, the beds were very very uncomfortable! So was the sofa. The WiFi was ‘broken’ for the whole 5 days of our stay making planning trips very hard as the signal was very poor there.

There was no WiFi, Have to go to the parking to use internet because there is no network inside the apartment. Indoor pool was not working first 2 days. Apartment was not clean enough , lots of spiders in the apartment. Found Used clothes inside may be from previous guest. There was no YouTube in to due to WiFi. Children was very disappointed.

Estate is big and serene. There was enough parking space for 3 cars. They also have EV charging.

Was very unexpected that you have to clean the place i.e. empty the bins (you have to go up and down stairs to do that) and even 'clean and empty the dishwasher' before you leave. Felt sneaky as none of this was mentioned while booking, else I would not have booked it. Bathroom locks were not working, my friend got stuck in the twice -quite scary. Lots of cobwebs, nails coming off the chairs, towels had stains. It was very hot during our stay and we were give only 1 portable fan for a 3 room flat. Recreation activities and spa were closed during our stay and we weren't informed.

The pool was great, and the location was very picturesque with lovely surroundings.

The main concern was the neighbour’s large dog, which was not kept on a leash and chased the children. This was extremely unsettling and quite a traumatic experience for them, and we felt it raised a serious safety concern. The furniture was also quite dated and, in places, felt as though it was close to falling apart.

Staff were all friendly and helpful - especially as I managed to lock our dog in the apartment while unloading the car - Housekeeping let us back in . Apartment was great size , with tea towels etc provided too. Wish the fridge had an icebox as it was over 30c while we were there. Apartment was in need of a little tlc - but as we were in a dog friendly apartment it didn't spoil our stay. Location was great as we were going to Mach Loop , lovely beach at Tywn .

Our only slight moan was the sofa ( not sure if it was a sofabed)- its not especially comfortable .

All the faciliities, the bar, indoor pool, outdoor pool etc. Also, the 2 bed apartment was very spacious. The grounds are well maintained and peaceful.

The apartments are dated but very comfortable.

Schöne Anlage, sehr großes Appartment mit Sauna und alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Tolle Aussicht, alles sehr ruhig und abgelegen.

Es war zum Teil nicht sauber, einige Dinge kaputt, undicht, abgenutzt (was man reparieren könnte).

Excellent location, cute and spacious apartment with lots of grassy areas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, close to many attractions for children, amazing view, I stayed there with small children and they enjoyed every moment, I would recommend anyone with a family and children to go there

I must point out that this resort is being done a great injustice here, because before I booked the place I saw a lot of negative comments about the place and I sent a message to the host that I wanted to make sure I was getting a clean apartment, and they responded to my request, and I arrived at a clean and large apartment, even though the place is not a five-star hotel, so if you are looking for a five-star vacation in Dubai, do not go to this place, because it is not Dubai and not five stars, but a beautiful and quiet place, and the location covers all the small shortcomings of the place. Therefore, I would recommend that they invest more in the care of the apartments from the inside because it took me a few hours to get used to the smell of the apartment, but as I said, it does not detract from the value of the pleasure I had there. What I was very disappointed with was the way they evict you from there. Their check-out is very precise and early, which I have not seen anywhere else, and because I was an hour and a half late even though I was more or less ready to leave, they charged me money, and that gave me a very unpleasant feeling at the end.

Staff totally unhelpful, no bar, No restaurant, snacks - poor customer service, stale smell , pool area closed, sauna closed Went to the local pub 10 mins drive, Informing us, multiple people daily complained about the hotel and it’s really is as bad as it’s coming across, I’m in fact still waiting for them to text me to tell me it’s ok to come and check in .. there words at reception ( you can’t check in till you have received a text ) . And still waiting to receive the text . As I still haven’t been able told to check in i would like to know how i receive my refund ?

Accommodation was in beautiful grounds. Very helpful and friendly staff at Reception. Indoor swimming pool was lovely. There was also a gym and laundry room and outdoor pool. Also car charging points. Scenery around the hotel is stunning

We stayed in the mansion house which needs a lot of updating and better cleaning.

A beautiful location and so much to do in and around the property. The pool, badminton and golf were so much fun and easy to access.

The sauna wasn’t working and the food at the bar was not up to much, but the people there were new and only just finding their feet, so we imagine it will improve as the bar itself was well run and really friendly.

Love the setting, the balcony, the views

We have visited for a few years now, it’s actually down as our favourite happy place but staff that we haven’t met before seem to be quite rude.

Excellent location with stunning views. Stunning beach (Aberdovey)10 minutes drive away. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent massage (one of the best)and pedicure from Kelly available Wednesday’s and Sunday (additional days depending on availability). Bar on site ‘Tafarn Plas’ fantastic staff, a great pint and a great selection of gins including a number of local gins. Dart board, snooker, cards, board games and books to use as you wish or just take in the beautiful surroundings with a nice drink. Food being served on an evening, the bar is family run and closed on a Tuesday for a day off, the rural location means less staff then big cities so expect that changes can occur at short notice but this does not compromise the excellent friendly service. The facilities are good if dated, plenty to do, 2 pools, pitch and put, tennis, table tennis and lovely walks, the sauna is not working at the moment but steam room and jacuzzi are and are nice. We plan to return soon with extended family.

Accommodation is dated and in need of some updates, carpets and curtains need replacing asap, (need black out curtains) and skirtings need painting, really letting it down by not spending on this! And needs a new sofa. As regular customers to many other Mac Donald hotels this is needed, but wow what a gem this place is! See past these and it’s a great self catering accommodation, with a good oven, big fridge freezer, great dish washer and enough equipment to cook properly. The beds are comfortable, bedding and towels sparkling white and a massive TV with good WiFi (a must for us), take your own pillow if that is important for you. If anything is missing or needs attention ask the staff and remind them if needed there only a small team and did respond on our requests for additional glasses and a maintenance issue. I wouldn’t normally give a place with this many updates that are needed a 9 (more a 6.5 -7) but it’s good bits deserve the 9…. Please change the carpets and curtains.

Located in an incredible spot, this property is perfectly crafted for both individuals and families eager to enjoy memorable and quality moments.

There is nothing that I don't like. But I advise to make use of available space to build Family Entertainment Center. A broad term for indoor spaces featuring arcade games, soft play, and multi-activity challenges under one roof.Adventure Park / Action Arena: Focuses heavily on physical agility, climbing walls, ropes courses, and timed obstacle tracks.

Nice place if you’re planning to stay within the resort. It offers a relaxing atmosphere and plenty to do without needing to leave. However, if you’re looking to explore the surrounding area, you may find the location a bit limiting.

Far from Snowdonia

We stayed in the old house and the architecture was lovely. High ceilings and gorgeous windows. The grounds were also lovely and surrounding views were beautiful

I really liked my room, it was a nice size and the kitchen was well equipped however my windows on the ground floor were right by the outdoor seating of the bar. This meant the room was noisy until around midnight.

Location was good if you are interested in hiking and visit nearby towns but quite far from Llandudno which js the most beautiful place in Wales. The property was spacious and alloted parking which was good.

The property was not managed well, the toilet flush was not working and no support provided to fix them. Also, the houses and furniture is quite old. I was cooking and the chimney filter fell dowm, luckily i was safe. Also, its unsafe, on one day when i returned to the property my doors were unlocked which means someone did came in and when i complained about it there was no action. The facilities are not manitained well and unhygenic. The tennis room was so dirty, i felt they didn't open it for ages.

Fusty smell left a day earlier than my due date as I couldn't tolerate the smell i did complain offered me airfresher (Really) full of chemicals absolutely ridiculous, patio windows filthy on the inside rubber in fridge freezer was absolutely disgusting I couldn't eat in the property 😒

Location and grounds are stunning! Great sized accommodation and good (if tired) facilities. We were fans of both an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts and pitch and put. The booking system for the indoor pool worked well for us.

It’s cheap because it is so tired, but some basic updates would make a huge difference. New pillows (they are awful!) and I’m not sure how happy I’d have been with the children’s play area if I had a smaller child with the broken monkey bars.

This visit we had an apartment with balcony which was lovely but we had no balcony furniture when I asked for some was told I was not allowed any due to safety measures, so as I explained to reception why have a balcony at all if you can not use it felt ripped off be honest

The staff were absolutely brilliant especially Damien and Carryss. The people In the resort were lovely. There was loads of space on site, so many activities to do and such a good location to many attractions.

Rooms need an upgrade, but this is known by all who attend and who work there, but the place the staff and the location more than make up for the need of a refurbishment. The property was still very clean and all the amenities worked.

Wish it was a little cleaner

The location is fantastic, beautiful surroundings within the property and outside. Lovely village and local pub. Loved Aberdyfi city and beach. Waterfall and Cadair Idris not far. The receptionists were very helpful and kind. Lovely staff. The room was spacious and the bathroom clean :) Great TV to watch the football. Access to gym, tennis, table tennis and swimming pools. No local shops, need a car for everything.

The room was weary and walls with cracks. One of the curtain was broken and the carpeted floor looked old and dirty. The bed comfortable ish. The shower was leaking from the tap whilst using the shower head which was not sustainable for water waste. The sauna was not working.

The reception staff were friendly

The first accommodation we were given had faulty radiators which on appearance looked they were turned off but were hot to touch, we were in the middle of a heatwave so it was extremely hot in the apartment. We were moved to Villa 40 which was dirty, had a very very strong smell of damp, even the plates were covered in black mould. I had to find alternative accommodation at 7pm on a Sunday night with a very upset 7 year old. We were only in aberdovey for 2 days so it spoilt our holiday. The refund is now being disputed, book with caution!!

We really like having large front and back gardens the scenery is beautiful.

The upstairs bathroom window is easy to get into—if it’s left open, anyone can get in.

Very very dirty i payed £500 for this to see mould growing on the living room ceiling inside the lamp shades, bathroom looked like it hasent been cleaned. Broken toilet felt like it was going to fall off. Rusty fridge absolute shocking no restaurant open in site had to travell. Pool needed pumps turning on to suck all dirt out the outside pool the list goes on. I won't be returning. Also can't stop itching wouldn't surprise me if I've got something from this dirty place. Wouldn't recommend people staying here

I had an accessible 1 bedroom room which was so nice and very large and comfortable.

Checking in at 5pm is a mystery as it's the latest time I have ever experienced. Check out is 10am so maybe more room attendants are needed.

Staff was amazing and engagjng particularly Kevin. The location and setting was breathtaking. Superb facilities included within our stay was unexpected such as indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room, gym, table tennis, snooker, pitch n putt golf tennis amd much more.

For such an amazing facility. Not serving food or a bar very much let this grand facility down. It has the capacity and setup to accommodate this as it has done so in the past. Our room in Mansion House was magnificent until we started see past it grandness. It was tired, dated and in need of some much needed tlc.

The setting and outdoor pool in hot weather was fabulous.

Cleaners in next rooms/apartments banging doors draws ,I know some of them our fire doors but just holding whilst there closing takes seconds .not happy no bar or restaurant

Looks a bit tired. Gym treadmill was not working, the pool table there was no white ball so we couldn't have a game 😞 The room was very stuffy and dry heat. It made it quite uncomfortable to sleep.

The bedding was dirty we come home with bites and rashes, the place it self was dirty too And we seen the cleaning in there before we booked in , so very disappointing we been once wanted to come back ... The beds was so uncomfortable we just thought it was in the mannor so booked the farm house and they was worse, We moved the sofa to sleep on that and under that was messy, we was coming back but definitely never again No pub no food located on site ..

Views just immediately relax you. Bracing outdoor pool - wonderful swims surrounded by birdsong. Indoor pool great too. Teens enjoyed the golf daily - again spectacular views. Spacious accomodation, all you need. Walks from doorstep - Including Tarrenhendre.

The condition of apartment was very poorly maintained. Broken tiles in the bathrooms, stains on ceilings Downstairs toilet floor had broken tiles & appeared to be rotten under foot(certainly moving,)!Broken glass on balcony. Tin full of cigarette butts. Bathroom overflow was filthy! Lovely swimming pool but ceiling & walls were clearly years old & needing to be fully restored/ redecorated as was the apartment.The sauna by the pool was out of action & apparently was last year.
