Very disappointed. I sent an email a few days before arriving wanting to confirm that one of your staff was going to be met at the airport but got no reply. I then tried to phone but got no reply. In the end one of the staff from the hotel that I was staying in Chitwan managed to contact your hotel and was notified that you were closed. Just after that I got an email welcoming me to your hotel. I could not and will not recommend you as a place to stay
At the end of the 1st day (after one round of cleaning), I think a window was left open (in the air conditioned room). As it was behind the curtains, I did not notice and the AC ran the entire night until I noticed the next morning. Moreover, because the window was open, mosquitoes had gotten in and that night I could barely sleep from all the mosquito bites.
I really enjoyed my stay in hotel sarowar.Every thing is Soo good .Clean rooms and hygienic pool.staafs are so friendly and helping Ms Nancy always smiling and friendly .Mr raj always helping big thanks to them.
I recently stayed one night at Hotel Sarowar in Pokhara and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. I loved how close the hotel is to Lake Side—perfect for a relaxing walk or quick access to local attractions. The highlight of my stay was definitely the dining experience on the rooftop. Enjoying a delicious meal with a stunning view of the mountains was truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Pokhara!
Great location and the roof top views! I also liked they had parking on backside of the building as well.
It was a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is very very good for exploring the lakeside area. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy and affordable place to stay in Pokhara!
I stayed at Hotel Sarowar recently and it hit all the right notes. The rooms are spacious, clean, and actually designed for comfort (yes, the hot showers are real and reliable!). It’s a modern place that doesn’t try too hard but gets the basics right—and then goes a little beyond. What really stood out was the location. You’re close enough to Lakeside to walk to the shops, cafés, and the lake itself, but far enough to get some peace and quiet when you want it. The best of both worlds. Then there’s the rooftop. I happened to go up just after a rainstorm—clouds clearing, fresh air, the Annapurnas starting to peek out again and the majestic city view from that height. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop scrolling and just breathe for a bit. I also appreciated their eco-friendly approach. It’s clear they’ve put thought into sustainability, how they have solar panels all over their roof. It feels good to support a place that’s trying to do better for the environment, not just the guests. Looking at other reviews before booking, I noticed a lot of people talked about the friendly staff—and they were right. Everyone I interacted with was polite and helpful without being overbearing. It feels like they care, not like they're following a script. If you're looking for a place in Pokhara that combines comfort, great views, and a little bit of purpose, Hotel Sarowar is it.
The bedsheet was not clean and the wifi is so bad and the electric sometime close
Quiet, don’t hear barking dogs! Bbq on the roof top was very good! The cook Jenish, Sagan and Rakesh were great! Spa massage.
Balcony is pigeon paradise and window doesn’t close properly, smokers in the next room and smell comes in through to our room.
Modern, top-tier hotel in the heart of Pokhara's tourist district
Hotel didn't have a fire alarm system, so when an electrical fire broke out on the second floor, we had to self-evacuate. Guests woke up by chance and hurried to the curb without any alarm or coordination.
not bad lication
The hotel had promised us to cancel our deals of October 1 and October 5, on October 1, because their rooms had an unbearable smell - too much pesticide, and only tiny window and no fresh air provision system. When we asked they to solve this problem, they sprayed excess air freshener in the room, making the room even more unlivable. But when we left the hotel and Pokhara, Sarowar hotel still deducted our fees. I have contacted the hotel, booking several times, exhausting. But the hotel changed their words: we never told you that you can cancel the deal on Oct.5 . They refused to make any compensation and apology.
I recently stayed at Hotel Sarowar, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The hotel beautifully combines luxury with the comfort. The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed. One of the highlights was the Sky Bar, where you can sip on refreshing cocktails while soaking in stunning panoramic views of lake, city & mountains. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat that offers luxury, comfort, and excellent service, Hotel Sarowar is the place to be.
Location is good. Rooms and toilet were clean. Staff were also very polite and attentive.
Breakfast could have a bit more variety from one day to another.
Staff is very good especially Miss Sahana on the reception and all staff in dinning area. Good vegetarian options are available
Property is old
Great stay. Good value. Staff very helpful
初日シャワーのお湯が出ませんでしたが時間かけて直してくれました。
It was great stay.
Fantastic SkyBar, Great Ambiance, Situated at Wonderful Location , Great Rooms and therefore Hospitality of the staff members was proper and well behaved .
Lovely hotel and great hospitality. Specially the staffs were very helpful. I had a wonderful stay at hotel. Rooms were really good and the view from the lounge was great.
Proximity to the city centre
Room AC wasn’t cool enough, Room 201 had a very small AC for its room size.
Excellent
Good
Property is in a great location. A block from the lake and minutes from shopping area. Breakfast buffet was good, and the staff and service was excellent.
-view -staff
-cleanliness -decor - poor breakfast - only instant coffee -noise -pool next to lobby/main restaurant - sky bar - long waiting for order
It was a good stay. The hotel is in a very good location.
The hotel is a little dated but the location is excellent as it is close to the lake, shops and restaurants. The best thing about the hotel is the warm and friendly staff. Special shout out to Manu, Nischal and Sujata at the front desk who were super helpful with all my needs like changing to a higher floor room, recharging my SIM card, arranging for airport transfer, etc. They served with excellence and professionalism. I would definitely return to Hotel Sarowar because of their exceptional service which is 5 star!
Few things I liked about hotel 1. Location heart of lakeside 2. Friendly Staff 3. Mountain view room 4. Delicious Food 5. Pool 6. The spa that the hotel had 7. Cherry on top was THE SKY BAR AND LOUNGE front office team Manu Sujata Nischal was amazing at check in and check out Service Suraj and Bishnu was outstanding
Location wise it’s very convenient as there’s lot of good bars, restaurants and supermarkets by the walking distance.
Definitely not a good value for money. 1. There’s no 3 pin uk usb wall charging plug in the room. I stayed in lot of other hotels in Nepal and seems to be okey everywhere. May be could work on this. 2. I was still okey with the charging cable and I let it go. The main thing that concerned me was I booked for a deluxe queen size bed with breakfast included. However, when I reached the receptionist mentioned that I had to pay extra Rs.1000 for the breakfast. I did let it go again. 3. Because she told me there was free saunas, steam bath and jacuzzi included in the price. I was excited for the jacuzzi as I really wanted to have a good time with my high school friend met after 10 years. Jacuzzi was available only after 8pm as told by the receptionist. However, we were let down again since the service wasn’t available when we reached. The lady reception on the 2nd floor was kinda rude as well. Overall, I was let down by the service and the facilities of the hotel. I paid almost Rs. 8000 for a hotel where there was no breakfast or any of the service included as mentioned while booking. I was still expecting a manager would come and talk to me for the overall experience. I’m paying Rs. 5000 at my current hotel with nice view, breakfast and sauna included right now. I hope this feedback will be addressed to the team members for the future betterment of the hotel. Thank you.
We like the location
Their breakfast is really unacceptable
Rooms were great size and spa lady I had was fantastic
Had 15 percent discount on booking .com and they didn't apply it to final bill and then advised they couldn't change it... absolutely poor service and/or system. Pizza I ordered took 30 minutes plus to serve. Spa felt chaotic at level 1... spa lady i had was incredible. The administration at the desk felt disorganised and didn't feel serene before I had my massage.
Rooms are clean, facility is a bit old but all functioning and well maintained. Shower water is heated but it takes 2-3 mins to pre-heat. Very lovely rooftop lounge where we can see the whole lake view. Location is very good as it’s just a step next to the Main Street of lakeside. Staffs are extremely friendly and attentive.
breakfast is so-so for international tourists. It could have more variety of food options. Swimming pool is not heated. A little bit old too. Tour and fees to order taxi is a bit on the high side.
Location and environment
Very large and clean room (suite) and friendly staff. The view from the rooftop bar is amazing. Breakfast is good and abundant.
Don't expect the level of a 5 star hotel in the Western world.
The location was great and central to the lake district. This is a high quality three star hotel, not five star. Ratings can be tricky to decipher.
The hot water in our room didn't work, but otherwise the room was adequate.. The food at the rooftop was so so and the service was slow.
Location was great - right in the heart of things but 50 yards back from the hustle and bustle. Room was lovely and good value. Rooftop had fabulous views and staff were available but not at all pushy.
Breakfast was unfortunately not very well managed. The food was good but there was a lack of oversight ensuring that supplies of food were adequate. We stayed 5 nights and had breakfast at many different times and on only one of these mornings was there attention paid to keeping the juice, coffee, tea, fruit, eggs etc. available. Should really be able to do this better.
terrible food
The breakfast was under the expectation, no coffee and limitted products
Very nicely behaving employees, especially women.
Masive amount of pigeon´s feces and feathers, together with nest - all around the ac behind the window, going straight by air to the room. Money for a bad hotel are acceptable, the health risks not at all.
Nice hotel, excellent location
As the hotel is relatively new, the facilities are in an excellent state. If you can get a room on an upper floor, the views are great, either towards Annapurna or the lake. We had both a superior and normal room for our family and the big rooms is worth the extra. You can always go to the upper terrace for photos or a sundowner.
Seemed tired. Lacked atmosphere. The rooms not very comfortable despite being upgraded.
This is an excellent facility. Great customer service. Very convenient and safe. Delicious meals! If I am back in Pokhara, you know I am completely hooked!
Really good beds. I enjoyed that they had a spa at the place, so you could truly relax
The death was very professional and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent because it put us right at the heart of every resource and activity we needed. We will stay here again on our return.
Downtown was a little older than I expected in the pictures. But it was better than the hotels in the surrounding area.
Very Friendly and responsive staff. Great location and clean room. Will definitely return for a stay.
Great Location - Near to Phewa lake - walkable distance. Fantastic Roof top View - Clear view of Mountain ranges. Friendly and supportive staff.
Family of 3 can't be accommodated in one room (size is small), we ended up in taking 2 rooms which are connected.
excellent
maybe it's time to change the accent wall's wallpaper/paint... my room's accent wall had a few chipped pieces.
I didn't like anything about my stay except the view. The view from the rooftop was amazing but this is POKHARA you can get that view from anywhere. I am giving this hotel a one star or less because I am extremely disappointed by their service and them pretending to be a 4 star hotel. No one greeted us at the front door or helped us with our bags. LAME! The front desk staff were very unprofessional constantly having side conversation with others while assisting you. My biggest issue was-The bathroom drain doesn't drain hence it flooded our entire bathroom floor every single time you took shower. Within 4-5 mins the shower would fill up with water due to improper drainage and flood the entire bathroom floor. That's disgusting! When I called the front desk to take care of this issue they simply just said "oh the drain is too small for the shower I can't do anything about it" Like excuse me! Do you expect your guest to not shower at all during their stay?? I had to take shower in their SPA which is RIDICULOUS. How can you call yourself a good hotel if your shower literally doesn't drain. Another thing that bothered me the most and ruined my stay was the lies that the front desk tells you. If you need any taxi services or need to go to anywhere PLEASE DON'T TRUST what the front desk staff tell you. Do the research on your own go outside the hotel and bargain the price with the taxi drivers. Front staff literally ruined my experience for that day! I also used their spa services few times it's okay. I believe you can find better masseuse outside of the hotel.
Everything. This hotel literally sucks.
1. Location 2. Prompt maintenance service 3. Helpful concierge 4. Kids play zone
1. Breakfast served on the ground floor, although the picture says they serve it in a rooftop restaurant with a panoramic view of Phewa lake and Himalayan Mountains. My whole purpose of booking this hotel was lost. 2. They confirmed me on giving a front side Swiss Select Room over phone on the day of arriving, but when arrived late in the evening we were offered a city view room. Finally, we choose a twin deluxe room at the front side.
location and spa
Poor breakfast options
Great stay, loved the hotel staff and rooms. It’s just that pool water was freezing cold and steam room was not operational; besides that staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent (costs 1000 NPR per person). Location is close to Pewa lake and major shopping district.
Amazing staff with the most friendliest service, fabulous location with easy access to restaurants, fewa lake, hospital etc. This place is real value for money.
Water pressure in the bathrooms, rooms can do better with more lighting inside
Amenities and view From the Room
We got queen superior room when we upgraded for deluxe room Also the food in the hotel is highly rated and they don’t have the food what’s in the menu.
I got my room on 7th floor it’s was dark . In my room there was no table and chair shower water doesn’t have force and it was cold not even warm . The drainer was block . I understand it is difficult time coz of covid but need to fulfill once you open for service . I will be back to see improvement next time
This is a new hotel but from the interior it looks like 5 years old or something. Breakfast choice is repeatitive daily and non-eventful. Laundry price is excessive like at least 3 times of other similar grade hotels i stayed in Nepal. The good sides are proximity to shopping and dining, as well as a stable wifi.
Extremely over priced considering that it is a pretty standard hotel. Quite surprised that there was no hot water in the shower. Ok but not exceptional breakfast. Nice reception by staff. None of the positive points justify the high room rate.
Brand new, spacious, very quiet, large rooms, but the staff are absolutely amazing.
세미나실을 무료로 사용할 수 있게 해주심에 감사합니다. 시내가 가까와 걸어서 여러가지 일을 할 수 있음
New hotel, Now empty; lack atmosphere. Nice staff, amenities not all functional.. but will be soon. if you alike very comfortable new beds, sheets, pillows, clean functional bathroom. Go for it.
