The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel seating areas and bar are gorgeous. The hotel room was quiet and comfortable.
Shower was small
Friendly staff, very comfortable room and great ambience. Thanks especially to Nigel and staff for stepping up and providing us with a scrumptious breakfast.
Nil
Great hotel with great staff. Unfortunately the Chef was ill so we were required to eat elsewhere. There was a refund for the Half Board that was unused and the staff did a great job of customer recovery.
Breakfast was very good & liked the bright comfy feel of the breakfast roo.
The bar & dining area lacked ambience & was not very comfortable. The food was expensive and was very mediocre I quality. Would not recommend dining there.
OTTIMA CENA E STRUTTURA CONFORTEVOLE
Good location for a stop off point. Staff friendly, and room decor nice
Food was great, and downstairs of the hotel was very pleasant
Seems like all the investment has gone into the downstairs, my room was shabby and very dated with minimal of facilities. Also the room was very tiny, single bed, no bedside table, just quite under-invested in the room
Location. The breakfast was exceptional.
Room was not up to expectations for the price. Shower needed attention. Room was cold. No extras - soap, toiletries etc
Personal top, restaurant sehr gut, top Whiskey Empfehlung
Dinner was superb and the location was perfect for travelling from Glasgow to the Isle of Skye.
This is a lovely location and an interesting hotel. The restaurant staff were helpful and our dinner and breakfasts were ok
Our room was in the attic which meant several flights of stairs. My husband is having difficult walking at the moment but there was no offer of help to carry bags up the stairs, or down again. We got the feeling we were a nuisance which is not great.
It is in Scotland which is beautiful and friendly and has so much to offer the visitor. Visit Fort Augustus and the Caledonian Canal locks. There are also some good hikes nearby but stay somewhere else that has accurate listings that will meet your expectations. There are a lot of exceptional places to stay - check out Whitebridge Hotel for one.
Room 6 is misrepresented by the descriptions and the pictures in the listings on Booking. The room is around 54 square feet at best (I actually measured it as 8x6 but am being generous); not 65 and the room does not at all resemble the pictures on line so do not be fooled. There is no end table between the door and the bed so electronics go on the floor or on the dresser close to the one window. There is a view of roofs with fans running until 22:00 rather than a "mountain view." Expectations matter - be honest.
The atmosphere was perfect with a very friendly staff.
Location and internal facilities were fantastic for our 1 night stay. Evening food was very good and breakfast excellent
Only booked a single room but bed felt particularly small
The view is amazing
No elevator
Excellent location for our travels with a clean hotel and room
We had a room over the front door which on the first night was a little noisy but certainly didn't spoil our stay.
best shower to date at the Glengarry.
small room
Very generous dinner portions and good breakfast.
Nothing really, though website creates impression of more parkland location rather than being on a main road.
Friendly staff. Easy check in. Tastefully decorated. Good size king room. Lots of windows.Clean and comfortable. Good location. Great meals for dinner.
Hard mattress. Water pressure in shower low. Bit of road traffic noise. The broccoli soup.
Style
Too close to the road
Fint lille værelse til én person. Gode p forhold.
Nettes Personal, sehr gutes Essen, nette Atmosphäre

Everything location quiet clean good food etc
Car park surface big stones not good for motorbikes
Very hospitable, clean, nice location
No screen on windows some bugs got in, all I can think of to complain about
Location, parking, room was very comfortable and spacious. Staff were very accommodating and despite arriving later than final serving the kitchen remained open so I could be fed.
Nothing
Plenty of room in the car park, which was not a surprise given our experience of the hotel.
Cleanliness was not good. The room had a smell of body odour. The place was tired and felt run down. Bathroom door did not close, apparently this is due to all the rain they had?? Shower had mould around the tray. Fan was covered in dust, sleigh bed wood felt sticky as did the remote for the TV. Mattress was cheap and too soft and very uncomfortable. (Master room - one of the best they have). We unfortunately ate at the hotel, Chef cannot cook a steak and does not seem to know the difference between fries and chunky chips (his/her menu!). Place shuts the front doors at 10pm which they never tire of telling you before your stay. After 10pm the place is dark with next to no lights on inside and no staff around. Very uncomfortable stay and very disappointing.
The staff were all excellent, very helpful in multiple ways and very cheerful too. The food in the evening and at breakfast was all excellent. The car chargers in the car park were a great feature and at a reasonable price. It was also great to be welcomed by a super-helpful Scottish person and to be served also by local Scottish staff. This all adds to the authenticity of the whole experience. All in all, it was really good. Thanks very much!
Nothing.
Location
Very very small room, no lift , no charging in the top, no coffee cups and spoons to use in rooms .
The bar and bar staff were very good as was the dinner. The small double was more that satisfactory although beware there is no lift to the upper floors.
TV in the room had avery poor signal and therefore not able to watch.
Very comfortable hotel
I was on the top floor, steep steps
Location in the stunning Scottish Highlands is excellent. The breakfast was on the expensive side but high quality and justified the price. The bed was really comfortable and the cleanliness was really good.
Just the shower was too compact. I'm a smaller skinny guy and still managed to hit the shower off with my elbow...
I was walking Lands End to John o’Groats so the location was perfect right on the Great Glen Way. The shower was very nice. The IPA on tap was super.
£123.75 for a single room only basis represented poor value for money. Dreadful din of the kitchen extractor fan outside my window. Very expensive breakfast £19 only being permitted to choose one cooked dish off the menu. No juices, no cereal, no yogurts, no fruit, no croissants or pastries. I needed to get some calories in and this wasn't possible here. By contrast, my next stop at Alltsigh provided me with an all you can eat continental breakfast for £4 which was superb.
Very pleasant and comfortable place to stay. Lovely staff and rooms are very well put together
Prices in the summer can be extortionate for the level of hotel it is. Its very nice but when theres rooms for £200+ a night it gets a bit silly
Lovely hotel, stayed there a few times and has never disappointed.
Beautiful building with some incredible food. Such friendly staff aswell
It’s quaint olde worldly, but comfortable and clean. Beautiful old hotel. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious.
Lovely staff and a pretty location
Steep narrow staircase to second floor rooms. Very expensive breakfast - just a plate of cooked food and a hot drink. Juice, cereal and toast were all extra.
Great location for a stopover.

Elegante, urtümliche Einrichtung. Großes Bad mit toller Dusche
Great location remote but close to St Augustus with beautiful views from our room. It's our favourite historic hotel in the Highlands. Very friendly staff & delicious food.

In the middle of nowhere, niet erg gezellig
Great food & atmosphere. Staff friendly.
Great location, bed was comfy (small single) ,check in quick. Room had nice shower with string pressure, lovely view, TV etc
Room could have been laid out a little better . TV was next to the head of the bed making it difficult to watch. Traffic noise quite loud as was passing
Lovely sized and comfortable room. Delicious food and large portions. Lots of nice areas to sit downstairs. Nice location in the highlands.
Slightly small shower for a good sized bathroom.

Mooi klassiek hotel. Prima gegeten in relaxte bar omgeving. Fijn en vriendelijk personeel. Uitstekend ontbijt. Een aanrader voor een fijne stop-over.

We have passed this hotel many times on our way to the NW Highlands and said we would like to stay. Now we have and are very pleased to have done so. It is a beautifully situated and lovely late 19th century building with grand wooden fittings and a characterful feel. Some hotels of this age are described as 'tired'. This is not - it is well decorated and very clean. Evening meal was good and Sauvignon Blanc exceptional. Breakfast was tasty and efficiently served - very important for travellers wanting a good start and fuel for the journey. Speaking of journey and fuel - one excellent innovative feature is that the hotel has fitted an EV charger. This was very helpful to us as we had experienced some uncooperative chargers on Skye and in Kyle of Lochalsh. To be able to charge overnight was a lifesaver. We would like to stay again.
Maybe a salmon or trout fish option for evening meal rather than plain fish and chips. The fish and chips were a good version, nonetheless.
Very friendly, helpful staff with comfortable bed and view of the river from very pleasant room Dinner was exceptionally tasty and satisfying. Due to a very early departure hotel provided a nice breakfast roll with choice of two breakfast items on it and fresh coffee in a takeaway container. No hesitation to recommend hotel if need accommodation in the area..
That we were only staying the one night to facilitate cruising on PS Waverley from Kyle of Lochalsh the morning after our stay.
Excellent
Perfect for a night Good food Very clean Free car park
Small room (but perfect for a single a night)
Location was fabulous, food was wonderful, bed was comfy and the view was simply stunning.
That I could only stay for one night
Charming historical hotel beautifully renovated. A storybook Highland hotel.
Beautiful property full of character and charm. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast menu was awesome and cooked fresh for you.
Well run and presented. Bedrooms clean.
Road noise
The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was very good. The room itself was small but that was my choice as I was a single traveler. I will definitely be coming back.
A wonderful building on the banks of the river. We were given a warm professional welcome. Our room was well appointed and had lovely views. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom squeaky clean. Dinner was very good, as was breakfast. Our stay was a joy.

L'accueil, le cadre, la cuisine
Spacious comfortable rooms on first floor so not too difficult with suitcases. Very helpful staff. Good restaurant and breakfast.
Little bit noisy on the main road but otherwise great location for crossing Highlands
Historic coach house. Common areas downstairs were welcoming. Staff were very good. The wee room was comfortable (once there was heat!) but didn’t have wifi!
On arrival at 5:15pm, there was no heat in the bedrooms or corridors and it was -5C outside! They did get it fixed but it took another 3 hours for my room to warm up. There was no wifi in the room and the corridors leading to the room from the first floor were quite dangerous!
Small hotel , clean , warm and very comfortable bed

Breakfast - great value Ambience of sitting room
Charming 'old' hotel by the bridge. The staff were courteous and proficient. Quiet room with spotless en suite bathroom.
The prices are quite high (e.g. about £20 for breakfast).

Just had dinner fish and chips fish was delicious and cooked right
Two be honest nothing all good
It was cozy and warm … and the breakfast coffee excellent
This was our favorite hotel while in Scotland. The staff, the food, the room, were wonderful. We ate in the restaurant both nights, and it was outstanding. Do not miss Nancy's Sticky Toffee Pudding! A man next to us had two of them, and I think he could have done a third; but after the ribbing we gave him, he thought better of it. The atmosphere in the dining room is casual, and easy to meet other travelers if you like to interact like we do. The breakfast was also good with very friendly wait staff. Morris was great, and fun to visit with in the bar. Take the river walk across the street, and go down the lane toward the castle hotel near the bridge. Quiet, beautiful scenery with lush greenery. The staff at the front desk gave us several places to visit, and couldn't have been nicer.
An excellent breakfast of porridge, salmon + scrambled egg. Perfect for a long day of walking ahead.
A firmer matress would have provided a better nights sleep. Dark furnishings do nothing to enhance guests feeling of wellbeing, when its dark and grey outside. Your furnishings need to lighten up. You have a beautiful building.
Classy, very good food, quiet at night
Beautiful hotel that has been renovated to a high standard. Our room was lovely and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant too. Great location along the Great Glen Way too!
Very expensive and breakfast was £25 each per person in addition to the room rate. It was nice but we both agreed it wasn’t worth that additional expense. WiFi very patchy and didn’t work well in the room.
Location
Breakfast poor, have to book a table even as a guest? Confusing considering there are only 13 rooms!
Room, restaurant / bar and staff were great. We had a late check-in and we’d notified the hotel ahead of time so everything went smoothly. Please note there’s no check-in after 10p though so plan accordingly. The food was top notch and the location is central to a lot of great spots in the Highlands. Pitlochry is a nice stop too when coming up from Edinburgh. Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to bad weather that knocked out power. We stayed through the first night with no issue but the power and other services weren’t going to be restored quickly. There were many trees felled into the road so there was no sightseeing either so we came back to Edinburgh earlier than planned and had a wonderful time touring around the city instead. We’d love to come back to the Invergarry hotel and finish sightseeing in the Highlands again soon!
Restaurant and staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly, food was a level up from most.
Small rooms typical of this type of vintage hotel
Nice room and lovely food
Very clean and comfortable "wee" single room. Great restaurant and bar on premises so u don'’t need to drive into town.
Lovely hotel with super nice and helpful staff.
Staff were particularly helpful in accommodating my requests. Breakfast was good. The location was suitable for a stop to break up a long drive.
The internet access was particularly flakey in my room on the second floor. I was alerted to the fact that there was no lift but negotiating steep stairs with a heavy bag was challenging but not impossible
Lovely hotel with kind and friendly staff. Great food in the restaurant. Comfy bed and powerful hot shower
Good for overnight stay; good in-hotel food (dinner) and bar for a few drinks.
Room small.
Lovely breakfast and friendly, attentive staff.
Friendly staff Excellent service Comfortable bed Great location

- Central location: between Glencoe, Fort Williams, Fort Augustus, Isle of Skye etc - Property in good condition, with a nice outdoor area - Staff were friendly and helpful - Easy to park - Great food at the hotel. Lots of other good options nearby too - Great shower pressure!
Delicious traditional breakfast, nice comfy room, very friendly staff throughout.
