Reviewed Mar 23, 2025We were able to switch to a better room when the electricity and wifi were not dependable in the first room. The staff helped bring our suitcases up the stairs; elevator was not useable.
Even though when booking the room it said we'd pay at the property, we got a follow-up email immediately after that wanted us to make a deposit. Reading the fine print, booking makes this fine; but it is certainly bait & switch. We just ignored the request and it was fine. But it was off to a bad start. Also, in the first room, the electricity and the wifi were incredibly unreliable--which was not the case in their other building. Also, the location from the main road (MG Marg) is not far, but up an incredible number of steps.

It’s not value for money. Booking.com charges more than 9000 per night but only basic minimum amenities were there. I will never book again from booking.com because they charge more than the original hotel price

Reviewed Apr 5, 2024So this property is at a walkable distance from MG Marg. The room was cosy, well insulated, clean and the best part was we got a free upgrade from deluxe to super deluxe room and that too at an unbelievable price. The room was very big and could have accommodated 5 adults easily. Overall experience was wonderful.
Nothing I can think of.

Reviewed Mar 17, 2024Comfortable mattress. Lift. Hot Water. Working WIFI. Helpful staff. Short uphill walk to main road and then steps up to MH Marg. Everything in Gangtok is uphill and this wasnt so bad if you take it alowly.

Reviewed Dec 16, 2023They have an amazing kitchen and staff are very cooperative and well behaved. They have a nice cozy terrace and you can catch the morning sunrise on Kanchenjunga. Though the view is very skewed and you just get to see the main kanchenjunga peak and not the entire range, but it kinda works.
The geyser wasn't working and we had to go two floors below to take a bath in a default room. So that was an inconvenience. Apart from that, this property is fine for young people but you should think twice before getting your parents here because 1. They don't have a lift in the old wing (where we stayed and has a view) and it might be difficult for old people to climb so many floors. 2. MG Marg is quite a steep walk from the hotel, again a troublesome affair for old people.
