Beautiful suites, enjoyed our stay but the front desk supervisor was extremely arrogant as we arrived, well into our two day stay. We had an issue with my ice bucket being Moldy and politely asked for another. He completely ruined my trip over this for all I was asking for was another bucket and he refused, angrily mind you. The carpet was really stained. Not much room in the suite. Very old. Needs updating. No cable TV. Internet was not very good. Kept going off and on.

Amazing place to stay. Quiet and beds are extremely comfortable.

The staff are as friendly as could be! Helpful, and versed in local amenities. The floors and wall are very thin! I could hear a neighbour breaking wind! When the kids wake up in adjacent rooms, everyone on the floor knows it. Well worth what we paid. No nonsense, no creeps and no bugs!

There was melted ice in the ice bucket when we arrived. Rug had not been vacuumed from previous guests. Fire alarm in room started to beep from low battery, so it was removed. Room smelled musty. We stayed for two days and there was no freshen up service. You can’t say you get what you paid for because it was a almost 200.00/nt. with taxes

Room was just ok. Nothing special. Toilet did not work on arrival. Was fixed quickly. TV service was terrible. They us Ruku. Limited selection. Mostly rerun stations. Hotel situated right on the corner or a very busy street. Constant traffic noise. However, overall was ok

Super comfy bed

It was a nice room and the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly.

A man screaming and banging on doors at 1am. It made me feel very not safe for about an hour or more. I know the staff delt with it. But I wouldn't ever go back.

Bathroom was very dirty, we moved out. We did not stay long.

Cleaner came on in and opened door hour before checkout time, without knocking just unlocked the door and opened it!

The staff was very friendly but the property could use some upgrades. Booked this due to downtown St. John’s being booked solid. Rooms need upgrading. Convenient for an overnight stay but not a longer trip.

The Pub was great! Staff genuinely cares and were very friendly! Great location, Tim Hortons right across the street, restaurants near by, Bowling Alley with Arcade and golf simulators nearby.

What a disappointment. As friendly as the person was at the front desk , it did not make up for the rest. We had the “ocean view” suite. First of all, shame on Expedia for allowing them to claim its ocean view. The only window was in the bathroom and you would need to be right up against the window to see a slight glimpse of the water. The room itself had NO window, it was like a bunker. The bed was lumpy and too soft. The sheets were among the cheapest quality I’ve ever seen. The pillow was extremely lumpy and unusable. The room.. oh wait they called it a suite, had no TV service. The listing did not disclose it was on the second floor and with no elevator. Last disappointment was the rate we paid … over $385 CN for one night. Even if this rate was half, I do not recommend staying here.

Very cute great views

Loved the independent feel of this hotel. The suite was spacious and the bed super comfortable. The drive to the location (about 35 minutes outside of St Johns) is gorgeous.

Our room was advertised as being an "ocean view"... this is a bit if an exaggeration (yes, the ocean was visible in the distance from the bathroom window)... but not too big of a deal. The in-room AC units are quite loud, and there was noise from the hallway or outside that was quite constant.

Stay was great. The staff were really helpful with any questions that i had. Room was great, quiet and clean. Could not have been any better

Propre et excellent personnel

Easy check in and close to resturants in the area.

Pillows are awful. The bedding is thin and needs to be updated. The arm chair in the room was very dirty and needed to be steam cleaned.

There could have been more light by the microwave and coffee maker. There is a major road in front of the Inn and the noise was quit loud at times.

Doors were a little complicated, but the staff were friendly and rooms were clean.

Did not have breakfast and was not aware it was available. I was misinformed by booking.com that this motel was 5 minutes from St.John's Airport, when it is actually 45 minutes away. Was not what i wanted. The room was clean and comfortable. The reception was a young man Bradley, was very polite and gave me a side door key as my room was right beside the door for easier access, however, in the morning i took my coffee outside to sit on the stoop and enjoy the fresh air for a bit but could not get back into the motel and had to wake up the owner to get back into the motel as i could not get the key to work. So sorry to disturb you. Front reception does not open until 10 and i was up about 7:15 so i waited until about 8 to call about being stuck outside. Felt bad about waking the owner but was still in my pj's and needed to get packed etc to get back on the road to continue on to Gander and my next motel.

Easier access to re-entry to the motel so i did not have to disturb anyone to get back in, again i felt bad for having to awaken the owner as the key to the side door was not working for me.

Nice area to stay in. Close to restaurants, stores etc. Lots of choices. Lots of fluffy Towels & hot water. TV had lots of channels, Netflix, etc. Room seemed clean but there was a bit of a smell. Had to open window to try to air it out.

Wobbly toilet that gets clogged easily and staff seemed to blame us for it saying they don't have any plumbing issues at the hotel. No laundry facilities, no on site breakfast or food.

The draw for us was it is an inexpensive motel close to St John's. The internet was terrible, but everything else was okay. Nothing was especially good or bad.

The bed was not firm enough for two people. The sheets were not cotton. They were a synthetic or polyester that does not breathe. There was cat or dog hair getting on my clothes.

Very convenient if you are wanting to stay right in conception Bay South. We had family in the area and it’s only a 20 minute drive to St John’s

This Inn was easily to get to off the highway. The young man that was working the lounge at night was very friendly and had good tourist ideas

Smell like dirty socks required window always open. Small table very useful but falling apart. Only three hangers provided and two of those broken.

The staff was very accommodating even though we came in late. We were able to get a beer and watch the hockey game in their small pub.

Everything was great! The customer service was perfect.....kind, very friendly and helpful. I loved that I could back my car right to the outside door. It made loading and unloading so easy! Everything was also very clean. It was perfect!

The beds were a little firm for my liking but that's just my personal preference. There was nothing wrong with them.

Newfound Inns and Suites (was Sunset Motel). I stayed here (Conception Bay South) in 2017 and booked in again for four nights. This is still a decent and affordable quiet motel at $644 for four nights. Use Google Maps and see that you are less than thirty minutes from downtown St John’s, and even less to Mount Pearl, where I have done a great deal of shopping from hardware and specialty stores. I will stay here next time I visit St John’s, but will bring my own cake of soap (the sliver provided is almost too small for my hands to grip) and will purchase a carton of milk for my tea. Major caveat: The bath/shower in my room was slippery; there are no “grip strips” to engage the feet; I got scared twice too often.

Great location friendly staff

This hotel is 30 mins from downtown St. John’s, good roads, and well marked. The beds where excellent, the hotel is clean and they changed our towel twice. We stayed four days and loved it, a Tim Horton’s coffee shop was just across the road.

Great stay. Aaron (bartender and front desk) was fantastic to deal with and helped resolve an issue I had with an overcharge on my card. Professional and friendly service. Great location. Highly recommend.
