The only problem is that the road and street noise kept up early iat night. It seems there is a club opposite Cornish Arm.

Bellissimo pub nel centro di Tavistock, una vera coccola durante il nostro roadtrip in Cornovaglia. Camera e bagno molto belli, letto comodissimo, accoglienza e gentilezza dello staff. Abbiamo apprezzato molto le buonissime opzioni vegane sia per la cena che per la colazione. Tutto perfetto!

The food is exceptional and the location very central, lovely rooms and a great price.

Unfortunately due to heat we had windows open and there was significant noise from a club/bar close by. Nothing the Cornish arms can do about it and it did stop.

Lovely rooms, great food(especially breakfast),if you choose to eat at The Cornish, in the centre of the town, car park, friendly staff.

The location is a bit of a double edged sword. Great for exploring Tavistock on foot but the rooms on the street side can get a bit noisy at night. The hotel has done its best to compensate for this by providing ear plugs in the room and double glazing the window. It didn’t stop me sleeping and staying asleep as I was exhausted.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is incredibly charming, beautifully decorated, and very well equipped. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The food was outstanding! Every meal was delicious. We would happily stay here again.

The only thing to keep in mind is that if your room faces the street, it can be a little noisy at night. If you’re a light sleeper, bringing earplugs is a good idea.

Menu cost for dinner was a little expensive.

Kept the look of a town pub but everything was done in a high quality way. The staff were very efficient and friendly the food excellent. The bedroom (Hedgehog) absolutely lovely very clean and all fixtures and fittings lovely the bed was very comfortable the room a very good size.

The hot weather made one night’s sleeping uncomfortable but a fan provided by the hotel helped with this. There’s nothing we don’t like and it’s our third visit!

Central location close to town centre and The Wharf where there are some great concerts. Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. On site parking at the rear of the property which was very convenient. Very high standard of cleanliness and great room facilities. Food was amazing.

Beautiful rooms, very special. Wonderful welcome from Danny and goodbye after breakfast from Toshi who served the whole room with great skill and charm. Dinner was absolutely stunning and served so beautifully but great staff. The kitchen are so talented. The whole place had the perfect balance of friendly casual vibe with 5 star food, rooms and service. We were also able to park there so easily.

The whole Cornish Arms experience was 1st Class. Service, food, ambiance, room, parking facilities. Everything Was perfectly set up for our stay. The food is exceptional here. We have been several times and it never fails to impress us. The standards are outstanding. We will definitely be back. We live in Cornwall but this is our favourite place to go, for all the right reasons. We are food lovers. If you haven’t tried the Cornish Arms, you are missing a trick.

Our room..Mallard suite..was comfortable clean well equipped..lovely bathroom..also the bath robes were nice and soft...there was a mini bar and nibbles at a charge however there was sherry if we wished to partake ! Loved the soft lighting in the bathroom at night and the free standing bath was lovely as were the toiletries ! The food was amazing...very tasty and freshly cooked to order...breakfast was incredible !

Our window was directly opposite the kitchen so for privacy the blind needed to be closed...this could be rectified by some application of glass obscuring material.

Beautiful find in the town of Tavistock. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Our room Was beautiful and very well equipped. Breakfast and dinner were fabulous. We tried to stay another night but they weee fully booked sadly! Would definitely return

Warm, centrally located in Tavistock with ample guest parking at the rear of the property. Food excellent with good service provided. The bedroom was nicely furnished and very tastefully decorated with nice ornaments.

For me, the pillows were a tad uncomfortable.

Wow, where to start! Can't fault anything with our stay. It was exceptionally good. Lovely sized well equipped room. The staff team are very welcoming and friendly. No wonder this place has great reviews. Now onto the food...wow again. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a fantastic 3 course dinner. The quality of ingredients and standard of cooking and flavours is way up there. A fantastic stay and a special treat!

The location was ideal and the room spotless and very welcoming. The shower was amazing and we loved the little night light in the bathroom to save having to put the main one on . The breakfast was absolutely superb as was the service provided by the staff. A really lovely place to stay.

The stairs were a bit steeper than I had anticipated, but to be fair it was clear when booking that there would be no lift. A banister would have been nice to hold on to.

Another wonderful two nights in Tavistock with friends. Food was amazing as were the staff. Rooms were very comfortable and we had designated parking. A good base for visiting the area.

Lovely greeting on arrival and we were promptly shown to our room. We were given fresh milk (for tea) and a small tea time treat of treacle tart (very tasty). The room was comfortable. Located in the middle of Tavistock. Front rooms are on the busy side - so get a room at the back if you can. Outstanding locally-sourced food and some nice touches - fresh milk instead of plastic cartons for bedroom tea-making. There is a steep staircase so might be a problem for some but it is an old building. Incredibly helpful staff.

The appearance is of a traditional pub but on the inside it’s both traditional and classy. Great bar and great devote with a good friendly atmosphere
