The Double View Mansions Bali

There was nothing to like.

The location was isolated and a long way from anything. As for a double view - there was a view of a building under construction next door. The second room was windowless while the bed and surrounding concrete structure was infested with ants. The main bedroom was characterless and unappealing and the construction of the bed featured sharp corners that were hazardous and at the perfect level to catch the weary traveller on the shins. The mattresses were hard and the bedding wasn't fresh. It smelled strongly of cheap, high perfumed detergent. The sofa was just plain grubby. There was a kitchen area but it was barely equipped. On our arrival, rather late thanks to the "free transport" being 30 minutes late to pick us up, we were met with 5 armed security guards and no reception staff. Scary!

Was a great property. Easy stay and lovely staff

The staff were friendly and it was clean. Location is close to the beach.

Not well maintained. The wooden boards around the pool were rotten and dangerous. The pictures online were not the same as the room booked. The ping pong table was broken. The kitchen is not equipped even to prepare a snack. There is construction both sides of the property which is not mentioned on booking.com. Was not possible to cancel and move elsewhere. When the drinking water bottle ran out Sunday afternoon, I had to wait until Monday morning before it was replaced due to lack of staffing. There is no property manager and all concerns were met with I’m sorry rather than addressing the actual issue.

They advertised as ocean view on their rooms but the rooms only had a construction view facing a big wall with blue tarp. I paid for our special day thinking it is an ocean view room per their class info on Expedia. Even though their room pictures did not show ocean, when the room desc says ocean side what would you think. I wasted my special day and money on this place. Felt scammed.

Nothing special

The rooms are clean and the staff are kind and friendly. The hotel is surrounded by nature and is quiet and peaceful. This has become my regular place to stay.

Modern and spacious. Large comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked well, lots of hot water, good water flow from shower, internet was fast (easy to stream). Our fridge stopped working but they replaced it with a new one straight away.

A little far from restaurants. The double views are no longer quite as represented on the web site as both views are now either partially or totally obscured by new construction. Lots of construction in the area.

Nothing! Don't recommend to stay here because of terrible construction works!

The huge construction works just in front of seaside rooms. It is not just some construction nearby. It takes place just in front of all windows! The views in the photos in the website is fake. It was real 3 years ago. Now you will see only the garbage, the construction and the workers. And be sure that you will hear them as well. The rice field view is also bad because it is view to the construction as well. You should call this property "Double View Garbage Contraction Mansions". I was very disappointed both with the property and with the response of managers while I was complaining about this scam. Don't be fooled by beautiful pictures, they are very far away from reality. It was the worst value for money ever!

Great big rooms with nice views of the rice fields and volcanoes in the distance on one side of the property, the a/c is good and the location is nice, away from the bustle but close to get to.

There really is a LOT of construction. The price is high considering how disruptive that is.

The staff were very nice and helpful. When we said to the manager about the location he offered us a full refund but booking. Com did not get back to the manager or myself despite 4 phone calls and 11 messages.

The second room in the apartment was not suitable for an adult. This was a hallway with a bed in it. The location is not in Canggu it is 37 mins drive away. The breakfast is very basic tea/coffee slice toast, 3 pieces of fruit and yogurt. Anything else extra charge. Breakfast/ Dining room very small. There are several buildings being constructed around this property which is a pity as they will have no view of the sea.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean facility, spacious 2 bedroom appt. With the discount that was offered, the price was very good.

I was hoping for a bigger breakfast. We had basic toast and croissant with some fruit and yogurt and coffee or tea. Good enough, but a nice buffet, or full breakfast menu would be better. But I'm not complaining. One more thing. It is a 2 BR Appt, but with one large Bathroom to share. It was convenient enough for me and my son. But 2 set of couples would have a problem.

It was clean

We stayed for 4 nights for the last few days of a month long trip. The hotel was relatively expensive but thought we’d stay somewhere a bit nicer for the last few days. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with our stay. The room was clean but bang average in terms of facilities. The ‘rice fields view’ is a myth, there are building works at all 4 corners and the location is terrible. The diggers start up at 9am and continue for the whole days. The location is poor being at least a 10 minute bike journey to the centre along a dirt track. The staff were very friendly but pretty useless with everything. Even to the extent that we asked if we could book an airport transfer and they turned round and said they were not able to arrange it. One night, I accidentally left my bag and key in a restaurant. The restaurant closed before we realised. Got back to the hotel assuming they would have a master key- no master key and no spare. They made us sleep on sun beds by the pool… even though I know for a fact there were spare rooms. Unreal amount of mosquito bites. The pool was also closed 3 out of the 4 days. To summarise- would not return and would not advise anybody to book. Not one to write bad reviews but this stay was particularly poor.

Good location. Very close to the beach and restaurants, you can walk to the beach and restaurants Quiet location. Underground parking for cars. Responsive staff

There is construction going on right in front of the hotel. The hotel is not very old, but it is not modern. For a soiled towel asked for extra payment of 1$ at the price of 90€ per day) does not look like 4 stars

The staff was very welcoming and supportive during my stay,

This is not the hotel's fault but there was a lot of construction next to and around the property so it was very noisy.

little kitchen utensils

Clean and comfortable bedroom and living room

Bathroom and second bedroom had windows that were not sealed to the outdoors so it was humid and there were a ton of ants in the bathroom. The AC in the master bedroom also made a loud noise sometimes.

The apartment unit is excellent, nicely design, and comfortable. It was better than expected. While some reviews were a bit negative about the constructions around the apartment, there was no problem when I stayed there. And the place is only 5 mins walk to the beach.

The location is a bit remote

Room size is good.

The building cover the sun to the pool

Facilities and staff were awesome The food was great! Room was awesomd

The gym wasnt fully operational and the location not the best

Really lovely staff! I was very kindly welcomed by Aya at check in. When she saw that my camera almost fell out of the backpack she helped me - very attentive 😊 Generally super staff easy communication via WhatsApp. Always friendly security who accepted my grab food deliveries in the middle of the night. At check out I had a great conversation again with Aya and her colleague Nurtini.

The location is okayish, although as the crow flies to most shops/restaurants/coffees in Canggu is very close, you have to drive 15/20 minutes on the roads. Due to the heavy constructions in the area, the roads are like a war zone. My apartment was nice. On the first floor I had view directly to a construction site but that was okay for me. What bothered me a bit was that when I checked out I had to pay for knife and fork which had disappeared for whatever reason. Of course I did not take this. It didn't cost me $3 but still...it's more about principle for me. If I paid over $100 per night for 5 nights I will still be charged extra for cutlery which I did not take.

location

limited menu

Modern and clean close walk to lynx beach.

There was an ongoing demonstration and our rooms were not made. No apology or explanation. On day of checkout, credit card machine was broken and we could not pay via cc and had to pay only in cash - a major inconvenience. We stayed on the ground floor and the worker quarters were right below us. Was noisy and we felt we had no privacy at all. Breakfast was overpriced and portions were tiny.

The place is great! Gorgeous view, spotless, modern, breakfast at the restaurant was wonderful! All great!

absolutely gorgeous, the location was so nice for me. quite and walking distance to a really great beach. Awesome staff ! pool !

was a bit hard to cook, 1 apartment had an oven and I was super happy. fitness room was basic and in basement but functional

Clean and modern buildings.

The name double view is a bit misleading. The second bedroom had no view at all. It also did not have a safe. somehow 100 Euros disappeared from our wallet. When asking the crew for help they said maybe I took the money from my friends. The buildings are very noisy and not soundproof as in the description. After asking the crew about this they said they were goong to change the describtion.

Awesome service

All great!

Staff were so friendly and helpful. I really liked that they whatsapp everymorning asking what housekeeping can come and they are really responsive if you have a question. The breakfast was huge and really tasty The room was spacious and really clean It was very quiet and relaxing

Not much! It was a bit out of the way of nearby stuff but it's easy to get taxis (get the gojek app or staff can arrange a driver for you) or there is a cut through to canggu thats around a 30 minute walk or short moped ride. In hindsight it was a bit pricey but we had a great time so it was an issue!!

Very clean, staff helpful and friendly.

Location is pretty far out from the center.

Brilliant service from the staff, especially Dini. Truly enjoyed my stay

property is beautiful.

felt a little sterile.

My partner and I communicated timely with staff to arrange an airport transfer upon arrival. This was also confirmed by e-mail. Flight details were provided but on the day of arrival, we had to wait 40 minutes until we were picked up. This is unacceptable for a 5-star establishment. The driver was apparently waiting at International Arrivals while we had a domestic flight. If hotel staff would've checked our flight details properly, they would have noticed that we flew from Jakarta to Den Pasar. After checking in, one of the balcony doors was not closing. Considering that we stayed on the ground floor, we immediately informed the staff about it but they said that we had to wait until the next morning to have it fixed. We felt quite unsafe. Luckily we could move to another floor the next day but instead of offering some sort of compensation, we had to pay an additional fee to get the other room. It would have been a nice gesture to compensate us after we had to wait for 40 minutes for our airport transfer plus getting a room on the ground floor with a broken balcony door. Such a shame that management was not willing to meet us halfway. Hopefully they can learn from this. The condo itself is amazing. You can really relax while you have an amazing view over the rice fields. The staff is attentive and super friendly. Overall, my partner and I enjoyed our stay despite the rocky start.

We had a gorgeous suite, with a lot of amenities you dont find elsewhere in Canggu. The breakfasts was amazing each morning and so was the menu for dinner. The pool was clean and beautiful. One day I had a headache and the front reception was kind enough to give me some ibuprofen free if charge. Very hospitable staff. It was a wonderful experience. The only thing that was a tiny bit of a downfall was it was a bit outside of Canggu where we were spending most of our time.

La experiencia fue increíble!!!!!!

Nice, new hotel! The best part of this hotel is the awesome staff. They are super friendly and helpful. The restaurant has great food at reasonable prices and a fantastic pool right next to the restaurant. The only nice to have would be being closer to other restaurants and things to do. This hotel is kind of out of the way. But its only a short 5 minute walk to the beach, which is usually pretty empty due to the location. My first night there I got into an argument with a taxi driver that was trying to scam me. The security at the hotel had to come out and step in. So my advice would be to let the staff at the hotel call a driver for you as the taxi drivers in the area are dishonest and will try to take advantage of tourists. Other than that incident, I enjoyed my stay in Bali.

Overall good stay but it's not in the best location to get around, you have to have a car or scooter. They do not offer a shuttle service to the main part of town. Some nights you could hear loud music from another place which made it hard to sleep. If you stay in main building you can hear the guards & staff outside talking so recommend asking for room not in the main building above the office.
