Location was perfect, central and close to the beach. Room was very comfortable and clearly every small detail had been given attention. Everything was spotlessly clean .

My room was so smelly. It smelled like a giant, wet dog. The girl was nice enough checking me in but when she walked me to my room, her nose also curled at the smell of dog (fyi she had just gone up to check if my room was ready as I was early) She explained they allow dogs at the hotel. I was so exhausted from walking the Coast Path that day that I wrote it off. After everything about the room was explained, she shut my door and left or so I thought…20-30 odd seconds later she re-entered without knocking to explain more. Again, I was way too exhausted, so I didn’t complain…surely my look of disapproval said enough. . I turned on a fan and opened windows to circulate the air. The NEXT DAY at approximately 8:20 in the AM, I was sitting in a towel enjoying my coffee after a shower, when I heard my door knob turn (old fashioned hard key entry). No knock. Nothing. I sprang to the door and shouted, “Can I help you?” I heard an indistinguishable response on the other end. I said, “I don’t need service. I have a sign on the door knob that reflects that (which I did)!” I heard another mutter followed by the key being removed from the door. It was extremely unprofessional all the way around. I waited until breakfast was done to ask for a manager. The same girl who had checked me in the day before said one wasn’t available (9:30am) but I could voice my compliant to her. I told her my concerns. She did NOT seem surprised. She said that some how there was confusion of my departure ( again I must remind you that I would have turned in a hard, old fashioned key to be checked out) She said she’d let the manager know. It’s been two days since check out and no response from a manager.

Staff were so nice - could not do enough. It was not just one friendly member of the team, every one of the team at the bridfort arms was great, the check in was seamless and service at both the dinner and breakfast was excellent.

Vanaf ontvangst tot vertrek zijn we bijzonder goed behandeld en verzorgd. We hadden een hele fijne studio met alle faciliteiten. Beneden een ruime badkamer met bad en een bureau of opmaak tafel. Via een ruime prettige trap naar een slaap/zitkamer. We sliepen in een heerlijk bed en er stonden twee grote oorfauteuils en eer was voor liefhebbers een grote tv. Ook een keuken hoekje met koelkastje. Volop koffie cups en theetjes en water in de koelkast. Alles in de kamer was super schoon en goed ingericht. Ontbijt goed verzorgd met vele opties en vers bereid. Personeel erg behulpzaam, vriendelijk en zorgde ervoor dat we niets tekort kwamen. Extra water of koffie op de kamer; geen probleem! We hebben er 3 hele fijne dagen en nachten gehad.

Sehr gutes Frühstück. Sehr freundliches Pesonal, es wurde uns ermöglicht früher einzuchecken, vielen Dank nochmals dafür!! Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und geräumig und bot einige Annehmlichkeiten, wie Kaffeemaschine, Teezubehör, Milch im Kühlschrank etc.. Die Lage ist toll, fast direkt am Strand. Ein kostenfreier Parkplatz war auch vorhanden.

Tolle Lage, schönes altes Haus, nettes Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück und auch gutes Abendessen, gute Betten

Bellissimo e davvero accogliente, tipico pub dove si mangia anche benissimo. Proprio sulla spiaggia e sul molo di West Bay in un’atmosfera davvero amichevole.

The Bridpprt Arms was cute, clean and cosy, and our welcome from David was exceptional even walking us to our room to personally show us around. Everyone was so friendly, chatty and helpful. Our evening meal was delicious, we can definitely recommend the Chef's Special of John Dory and Bream fillets.The waiting staff were very lovely and service was friendly and efficient. Our bedroom was excellent, so spacious with beautiful views over the shingle to the sea. The bathroom products were of great quality and the facilities in the room spectacular...loved the Dyson hairdryer, Nespresso machine and thoughtful umbrella. Breakfast was delicious and on our last day we cheekily asked to be served half an hour earlier than official sit down time due to needing to get away early and they were more than happy to do this for us. The location is breathtaking, just a few seconds stroll over the shingle and the mighty West Bay cliffs come into view. We strolled around the village, up the cliff walk towards Eype and around the harbour everyday and even when a huge storm was rolling in the laughter and delight of watching the waves crash into the west harbour wall was envigorating...even with salty coffee. On that note I can recommend popping to see John at the huts just before the harbour for a lovely latte served with smile and a conversation, and also drinks at RISE over the little white bridge by the George to the peninsula, with a cosy snug to watch the world and weather go by. We were in town for a local (20+ miles away) wedding. We had taxi driver Jacko get us there under immense difficulty due to a road closure forcing everyone into the little lanes. He astohnded us with his knowledge of the windy lanes and his got us to the wedding in time. A wonderful stay at the Bridport Arms we hope to visit again one day.

We loved everything however at a push my only suggested recommendation would be the addition of an iron and ironing board in the room and an earlier start to breakfast to enable residents to get out and start their day earlier in the Dorset countryside.

Beautiful clean room, comfortable bed. Lovely toiletries, fabulous shower. Tea, coffee, bottled water and fresh milk replenished every day.

Only sourdough bread available at breakfast which was quite unpleasant due to the freezer breaking down last week, host apologised profusely however there are 2 perfectly lovely bakeries near by so I do not understand why wholemeal and white read could not have been purchased ?? Also why they would be freezing bread is beyond me. Limited breakfast choice too.

Just wow. The staff were the cherry on the cake! Room was pure luxury. Walking the coastal path - this was the luxury we needed! Could not fault one bit. Bit more expensive but worth it.

The room was very clean and looked as if it had been newly decorated with White Company hand wash etc. to add a touch of luxury. The room's fridge was stocked with plenty of bottled water and fresh milk. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has a sunny patio area where you can enjoy a drink or have a bite to eat and breakfast was superb too.

Our room was very lovely and very large with a separate sitting area. Our room looked out over the beach and ocean - it was fantastic! I wish we had stayed longer! The food in the restaurant was also excellent - I had the sea bass and it was the best I have ever eaten!

The staff were very helpful and agreed to us having an early breakfast as we were in an event locally. The room was very nice and the location is excellent. We did not eat dinner there as we had already arranged to meet friends in Bridport but it seemed very popular. The bathroom was a good size and products were provided plus robes and a Dyson hairdryer.

From start to finish we couldn't fault anything. The food very tasty the staff very friendly polite and couldn't do enough for as.we go back every year. Hope to go back again this year.

Breakfast was good all cooked to order no buffet. Situated right on the beach, free parking on site too always good especially on a bank holiday. Evening meal in pub was very good, all the staff were friendly and helpful.

The size of the room was large and it was in a duplex style. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The cooked breakfast was very good. Our pedal bikes were safely stored within the hotel. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel was in the heart of West Bay.

The price was top end, but the quality of the hotel and experience justified it.

Warm welcome from Ben and another gentleman on arrival and although we were a couple of hours early, were given complementary coffee and told our room ready in ten minutes. Large, well furnished and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast. Exceeded expectations and we will definitely return

Not quite enough hot water for a shower in the morning

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms had been recently refurbished so were fresh, very clean, comfortable bed and cotton bedding, good facilities in the room.

Nothing, this is a pub with rooms above in a very central location so you expect some noise but it didn’t affect our stay at all.

The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, which made it easy to unwind and enjoy our stay. The food was also great value for money, with plenty of options—especially for gluten-free diets, which we really appreciated. What truly made our experience stand out, though, was the staff. Ben and David were incredibly welcoming and charming throughout. David went above and beyond after discovering it was my birthday—he surprised me with a complimentary gluten-free cake, complete with a candle, and even sang happy birthday. He remembered my dietary requirements from the night before, which made the gesture feel extra thoughtful and personal.

The whole experience, from the welcome, the staff, cleanliness and the added extras in the room was exceptional, it was easily on par with a 4 Star hotel. The location is fantastic, just what we wanted for a short break away. Thank you, we would definitely recommend & return.

The rooms were very large and so clean, the attention to detail was very well thought out, great tea and coffee facilities, lovely large quality towels, overall the room was superb .

Room was a bit cold to start with, but it did warm up nicely after a bit and no issues after that

Lovely bedroom, very clean and big, lovely teas and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was 10/10 and the dinner was lovely too. Right by the beach which is great.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating with check in and check out, our room was available sooner than we thought and they were happy for us to take our time leaving which was a nice bonus. Car parking next to the hotel was nice & convenient. The hotel is in a great location for beach and coastal path walking. Its a very dog friendly hotel with doggie treats, towels, bowl & dog bed provided which we liked. We ate in the evening sat by a roaring fire. The food, cocktails & wine were great and in the morning the breakfast included in the price of the stay was exceptional.

These are not supposed to be negative comments just a bit of feedback. The room was really lovely but it lacked a couple of bits that would have made a nice difference & easier to navigate the room. A couple more coffee pods & some coffee mugs (rather than tea cups) We felt the room lacked a large surface and thought perhaps a slightly bigger table by the wing chairs would have been ideal and lastly a full length mirror. Apart from these small niggles the room & decor were very tasteful.
