Hello I'm Local - Boutique Hostel

La decoración del albergue en general -me pareció muy bonito y cuidado-, el ambiente acogedor y la amabilidad del personal. Además, tienen jabón en el baño, no solo de manos si no champú, gel y acondicionador.

La cama era un poco blanda para mi gusto y en la ducha faltaba luz, la bombilla no era muy potente y al ser negra la cortina, hace que se veas menos cuando te estás duchando.o

Staff helped us with the booking, that was nice. The hostel itself looked good, location was awesome.

There were a party out there. Thank god we had an earplug. The bed and it's surroundings wasn't good.

Lovely location on a quiet street in central Haarlem. Quirky rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly staff and nice cafe area. Guest kitchen.

Our room was a bit cramped for 3 people. No en-suite toilet but the shared toilet wasn’t far away. A good 15 minute walk from the station - quite an effort if you have heavy luggage and can’t get a cab. No laundry facilities.

Gastvrij onthaal door vriendelijke gastvrouw. Leuke stapelbed kamer. Kamer en sanitair netjes en schoon. Zeer rustig. Prima ontbijt. Een aanrader om te logeren.

Location great, very clean, quite high bunkbeds (enough space), comfortable beds, would recommend ☺️

There is a kitchen and you can eat there, but the space is not cozy. The patio is not to be used to drink or eat your own food. Would be nice to have curtains in the bunkbeds

Das gesamte Hostel ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet - ein Mix aus Vintage und Moderne. Gut durchdachte Konzepte, z.B. in der Küche. Extrem nettes, hilfsbereites Team und eine prima Möglichkeit, die Räder unterzustellen.

Unser "Family room" hätte ein paar mehr Fenster haben können...

Friendly staff, good enough kitchen, quiet and polite guests. Met several interesting people who also stayed for The Conference.

Upper bed with no guardrail, it took some time to start feeling safe to sleep.

De accomodatie was schoon en netjes. Ruime kamer, vriendelijk personeel en gezellige gemeenschappelijke ruimte. Ik zou hier zeker weer komen als ik naar Haarlem ga!

Toll eingerichtetes 4-Bett Zimmer, super freundliches und extrem hilfsbereites (Tipps zu Parken, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Shopping, Essen) Personal. Leckeres und preiswertes Frühstück. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essendo con le camere nel sotto tetto si sentiva il rumore del sistema di aspirazione/aereazione, che non si spegneva completamente di notte.

Het personeel was vriendelijk, er hangt een prettige sfeer.

Het was de eerste nacht erg warm. Er is geen airconditioning.

Sehr schön und stylisch eingerichtet. Es war alles nötige vorhanden. Lage top. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Ich würde dort jederzeit wieder buchen.

Wir hatten lediglich Betten im 6er Dorm und dafür war es doch sehr teuer.

Location, friendly staff and great facilities for those on the move.

My room was very warm which it does say this on website. No window or airflow. Maybe a decent fan, not the existing might help.

Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt im Hostel.

Die kreative originelle schöne Einrichtung gefiel mir. Die Lage wunderbar. Das Personal war sehr nett und gab Tipps. Die Kommunikative Atmosphäre war als Alleinreisende angenehm. Küche ideal. Ich fühlte mich wohl.

Der Duschvorhang war etwas windig. Es gab wenig Ablageflächen.

A Hello! I'm local ci siamo travati molto bene, il luogo era molto accogliente e si respirava una bella atmosfera. Gli spazi erano belli e curati seppur informali, ci siamo sentiti molto a nostro agio. Materasso matrimoniale COMODISSIMO!

Unica pecca: viaggiamo in bicicletta e non c'era un box dove depositarle, ci hanno comunque fatto depositare le biciclette in patio senza problemi, ma avere un piccolo deposito per le bici sarebbe un bel plus.

Well located in Haarlem which is a lovely, quiet and safe area. Short train trip to Amsterdam while you get the benefit of staying in a peaceful area that has lots of character. The hostel and cafe has a cosy vibe with unique decor. Staff were really friendly and there is lots of space in the cafe and courtyard to hang out in. In my dorm there were storage lockers under the beds and they were really spacious (bring your own lock).

Unfortunately this was the worst sleep I’ve had in a hostel. I’m not sure if it’s the layout of the room (e.g no curtains on the beds) or inconsiderate roommates, but it was very uncomfortable. Not the fault of the staff but my roommates were really unfriendly and did not behave with any consideration for others. If I stay here again I will book a private room. The bathroom lighting is also too dark.

Perfect voor een nacht

The bed was incredibly comfortable and people sharing the room cared for each other. They tried really hard not to make noises and wake someone up. It felt like a small friendly community. It's also really close to a supermarket and nice restaurants.

One side of the bunk bed is open towards the center of the room thus you will be exposed to noises and light. People went quite around 11pm but if you are an early sleeper it will definitely wake you up. There was one shower in available for a 8 people bedroom and it stinked like urine.

Toilets are in good numbers.

Kitchen area is too small

L'auberge de jeunesse est bien situé, dans un quartier calme. Le lieu est bien aménagé.

En revanche, la cuisine est petite. La température de la douche n'est apparemment pas réglable. Mon lit n'était pas équipé de pirt USB.

Schönes Hostel, man hat alles was man brauch. Wir waren hier während unserer Fahrradreise. Das Fahrrad konnten wir drinnen im Flur unterstellen.

Die Toiletten, die jeder benutzt auf dem Flur, da es keine Toiletten auf den Zimmern gibt, könnten regelmäßiger sauber gemacht werden.

Outstanding place, staff, cleanliness. It is a pleasure to see when a place is being taken care of, with attention to detail and a dedicated staff. Appreciated bonuses: the terrace, good coffee and the qi-gong course that occurred a couple of time a week from the guest teacher.

Tiny improvement: if possible check the door of room, that they always close themself fully so that the door's alarm is not triggered unexpectedly.

Ambiente molto friendly, hamburger eccellente, camera carinissima, atmosfera in generale super piacevole

Heel attente en vriendelijke medewerkers, het was elke keer een warm welkom! Handig keukentje waar je ook spullen kwijt kunt in een koelkast. Comfortabel bed en kussen. Alles was schoon. Gezellige inrichting, leuke aparte leefruimte met veel spelletjes. Overdag staat de deur van het hostel standaard open en voor de kamer krijg je een aparte badge. Het was best warm tijdens mijn verblijf (28+ graden overdag) maar met de ventilators was het nog goed uit te houden op de kamer. Elk bed heeft een usb (en usb-c dacht ik ook) aansluiting voor het opladen van je telefoon. Het enige wat ik 'miste', was een plankje om mijn bril en telefoon op te leggen, maar dat is natuurlijk opgelost met een brillenkoker :) Locatie is goed en gemakkelijk te vinden, zelfs overdag is het heel stil in de buurt.

The hostel is so much nicer than we expected, it says boutique hostel and it really is. The decor is interesting and well thoughtout. The social areas were comfortable. The staff were super friendly and our room was so much better than expected.

Room was hot, even with five fans. Air conditioning would really help in a small space with a loft.

Le personnel est juste top! Super accueillant super sympa, très à l’écoute des clients… on se sent chez soi! La déco est magnifique! On a adore ce côté rétro et bric a brac!. Hotel très tranquille malgré un emplacement proche du centre.

Douchen, matje wordt drijfnat. Geen plankje bij, in, naast het bed. Maar verder beste lokatie ever.

Very friendly staff and casual vibe.

Le personnel connaît bien la ville et les endroits agréables. Le dortoir pour femmes a de grandes fenêtres qui font entrer la fraîcheur malgré la chaleur de l'été. Le lit était confortable. Le petit déjeuner était excellent. La salle commune est bien aérée.

Je dormais dans un dortoir pour 8 femmes. Il y en a toujours une qui ronfle et d'autres qui arrivent à minuit ce qui ne facilite pas le sommeil. Mais c'était prévisible. Dans la salle de bain, il n'y avait pas de crochet pour la serviette à main et elle n'arrivait pas à sécher. Ce serait un ajout pas trop compliqué à installer. Dans la cuisine, j'aurais apprécié que la poubelle soit vidée plus régulièrement, Elle débordait souvent.

15min flat walk from 300 airport bus - amazing 10min frequency 5 min walk to old town various indoor and outdoor relaxing areas, cafe/bar guest kitchen and refrigerator, cooktop, microwave 8 bed ground floor dorm: spacious, comfortable beds, toilet/shower in room, bed light with usbs, no curtains (but large window curtain)- desperately needs more hooks for people to hang towels, clothes; even 1 more chair for top bunk people to put on shoes would be nice. this only has ventilation via covered courtyard - very little airflow, and worse when people close its courtyard door - make the room stuffy stale and warm.

checkin consistency: if staff worked off a 1 page sheet, everyone would get the same info, instead of some reduced variations hooks needed in all toilets and showers

Only downside when your sharing a dorm with 12 others the probability of having a snorer is high. During my stay I was serenaded in stereo with no off switch or volume control😮‍💨😴

Het personeel was super aardig, hulpvaardig en leuk om een babbeltje mee te doen! De kamers, toiletten en douches zijn heel hygiënisch. In de hele hostel hangt een gezellige sfeer. Echt een aanrader!!!

De locatie is ideaal: 5 minuten lopen naar het centrum.

Helaas geen WiFi-bereik in deze kamer. Daarnaast is de kamer op de begane grond redelijk gehorig.

Me encantó el Hostel, muy cómodas sus instalaciones, los chicos fueron amables y están a tu predisposición para ayudarte, un plus la cocina dónde podés cocinar o dejar tus cosas en la heladera, en el baño privado tenías a disposición jabón, shampoo y crema.

Solo le agregaría una cortina a las camas para mayor privacidad y comodidad

The location and the venue itself were perfect! All the staff was lovely and always available to help.

The weather was hot and the building doesn’t have air conditioning. I understand that it’s not a place where you’d expect 30 degrees every day, but a few fan should have been supplied, especially for a room where there was only one window that could open only partially. We had a few issues with the “neighbours”: the place in front of our window is a small cafe open till early morning and in two occasions there were people talking very loudly outside until 3/3.30am. Because of the vicinity, sleeping was impossible.

Highly recommend. The staff make the experience. It’s a super cute hostel.

The place was quiet, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. The people I stayed with were very respectful, and there was no noise, no theft, or anything like that. Honestly, it was a wonderful experience.

Nice. Staff very friendly. Mattresses excellent. Ground floor rooms available. Good cafe. WC in rooms. Shower has excellent hot water and pressure.

Beware that beds in dorms are high. Lower bunk is at least 30” off the ground, upper is 6’. With long wooden ladder. Do have lower beds in some rooms.
