Beautiful inside and out. Amazing art display and one of the most beautiful libraries I have visited.
I didn’t like that it made me want my own property just like this. Amazing.

I didn’t like that it made me want my own property just like this. Amazing.
Si soggiorna nella classe eleganza delle campagne irlandesi
Il parco andrebbe curato meglio
Individuellt inredda rum med mysiga detaljer. Mycket god middagsmat
Lite lyhört mot djuren om man har rum vid ena gaveln
This was a wonderful place to stay—much more than just a night’s accommodation. It is a perfectly orchestrated experience, where every detail has been thoughtfully considered. From the warm welcome, to the magnificent dinner served at the communal table (an experience not to be missed), followed by a relaxing evening in the library or a peaceful walk through the beautiful gardens, every moment was memorable.
I am sure there must be negative but I can’t recall any. It was just perfect
Just lovely people as hosts with outstanding food. Loved spending an evening here as we crossed Ireland
Nothing. Just be ready for a historical experiences as the home was built many years ago and they have preserved it very well.
Paddy’s dinner was absolutely amazing. A definite must when staying here. The property and grounds were beautiful and kept their old charm and character.
Danke!
Quintessential Irish hospitality with excellent food
Nothing everything was perfect
My 2nd stay and just as perfect as the first time. A beautiful home and gardens with a warm welcome, lovely atmosphere and incredibly delicious food. Always great company at the dinner table.
Absolutely nothing.
Such a beautiful place to stay. I stayed here between working and it was so comfortable and charming. It is a 1700s country house and its character is still felt. Thank you to Hannah and Marie who I met. The breakfast was so beautiful. The atmosphere; quaint. I would love to return!
Roundhouse was wonderful! Gorgeous grounds, beautifully maintained old manor, delicious and generous breakfast. The owner and her husband were gracious and so friendly as well as their staff. We checked in a bit late (8pm) and were greeted with lovely tea in the drawing room before going to bed. Don't miss a visit to the beautiful library on the property that the owner's father built! Rooms very spacious and comfortable. They have the cutest dog that greeted us upon arrival as well! I am a travel advisor and plan to book clients here when booking Ireland travel.
Nothing!! Just the fact that we didn't plan better to be able to stay 2 nights OR at least have arrived earlier to enjoy the grounds and a walk.
You can not ask for a more idyllic setting for a manor house. Perfect in every way
Great welcome . Beautiful house in lovely setting
friendly staff and good food
The Roundwood House is the most magical place! You become immersed in the history of the time in this beautiful manor because the old home is filled with so many historical paintings, furniture and books. The library is something to be experienced! The drawing room with the fire in the fireplace was so cozy. Hannah and Paddy are wonderful . The dinner was incredible. We met the most interesting fellow travelers. This stay has become perhaps the best one on our three week trip. I didn’t want to leave!
Excellent full Irish breakfast -coeliac friendly , classic old world charm
Old world atmosphere, lovingly cared for by owners. Lots of books to browse and lovely welcome with tea and homemade flapjacks. The dinner was excellent too.
Roundwood House is truly exceptional, a gorgeous historic property that is beautifully maintained and decorated with impeccable taste. From the moment you step inside, you feel as though you’ve been transported back in time. What truly elevates the experience is the warmth and graciousness of Hannah and Paddy, who welcomed us into their estate with genuine kindness and hospitality. Their passion for the house and its history shines through in every detail. The food surpassed all expectations, every dish was carefully prepared, delicious, and memorable. The grounds are breathtaking and an absolute pleasure to wander; calm, quiet, and full of charm at every turn. It is the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and soak in a truly magical atmosphere. We left already dreaming of our return and without a doubt we will be back again.
Historisches Ambiente, Farben, Sauberkeit, Gastfreundschaft
Very welcoming
Needs a bit of work done / but the hosts were so nice and staff . The food was excellent !
A genuine country house atmosphere, relaxing and informal. The separate library is a real surprise with a wonderfully eclectic collection of books. Evening dinners are of top-rate quality and variety, and can be enjoyed at a communal table with pleasant company.
Beautiful location, welcoming hosts and staff. Fantastic food and drinks in a lovely environment. Very interesting property with great features.
Nothing
Everything. From the kind and warm family who own the home, to the staff, location, bedrooms, grounds. They welcomed us like old friends, and introduced us to new friends during our exquisite meals; even inquiring about food allergies. We didn’t want to leave and wish we have planned for more than one night, we will be back!
Not applicable. Everything was perfect.
Host was attentative and the food was excellent
Dinner was absolutely delicious. Vegetarian option devine. Breakfast was superb. Homemade jams, breads, overnight oats. Delicious cooked breakfast.
I loved it all. The house is hugely characterful but this may not be to everyone's taste.
This beautiful house was our absolute favorite place to stay in Ireland! Paddy and Hannah are incredibly sweet and hospitable. We loved meeting other guests and taking walks on the grounds with Fauna, the puppy. Breakfast was delicious—you can really tell how much care goes into preparing the food. And we haven’t stopped talking about the flapjacks! Overall, we highly recommend this stay.
It’s a little bit off the main road but absolutely worth the drive!
True B and B!
This was one of the most thoughtful accommodations I’ve ever stayed at. They were so mindful of our experience and went above and beyond to make our visit special. This was our first night in Ireland after a long night of traveling and they helped us check in early, ensure we were fed delicious homemade food, and answered all our questions.
Nothing- everything was great!
Everything about this property was outstanding. The home, the amazing food and excellent recommendations for places to visit.
The ambience, comfort, and being able to unwind in a beautiful country manor was exactly what we were looking for. Our hosts and the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious.
Having to leave so soon.
Roundwood House is hidden gem. Fantastic staff, great food and a truely authentic house where you are made feel at home. The food was fantastic and Hana and the team really took.care of us. Cannot recommend it enough...if you want a relaxing break away get yourself to Roundwood House!
This is a remarkable country house hotel. The house itself is full of interest and so is the location with the Slieve Bloom mountains nearby.
Everything
We were immediately made feel welcome by the owners from the moment we arrived and were blown away by the beauty of the hotel and it's surroundings. The hotel itself has such a warm, welcoming feel and the staff are the kindest and most considerate that one could ask for. The library was a real treat for those who are interested in books and an elegant environment to enjoy a quiet coffee and recover from travelling. The dinner was exceptional and was one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling part of our stay. The rooms have a very classical feel with beds that were so comfortable they make you want to snooze your alarm several times. I would recommend anyone who is passing through this part of the country to stay and experience this absolutely wonderful Irish home. We will definitely be back to stay here
The staff and food were outstanding. The setting was beautiful and we were sorry we had not time in our schedule to explore the grounds more. Paddy is an extremely good chef and Hannah is a welcoming and personable host. Definitely will return!
We loved just about everything!
Roundwood is a place that you know you will come back to again. The owners Hannah and Paddy are so welcoming and you immediately feel at home. all the staff are wonderful and clearly proud to work there. cannot recommend it enough. the food is great and it's such a chilled out setting

The dinner was great.

What a wonderful place! We loved everything: the nature, the place, the people... it's like being inside a film. Paddy and Hanna are wonderful, friendly people, two artists... Paddy also has a great voice, at the end of dinner he sang a couple of songs and we wished that moment had never passed. thank you so much, a piece of my heart is there with you
Warm and welcoming owners and staff

First night I added a 4 course meal, that was sublime! The owners provided hands on above and beyond hospitality. I had the best nights sleep that I can remember then a fabulous homemade breakfast and brisk morning walk around the property, including a goose laying her eggs! Everything about Roundwood House was excellent!
Beautiful home in a quiet and secluded location, ideal for a break away. Hosts Paddy & Hannah were very welcoming and shared insights into the local area and things to do during our stay. Décor and furniture were stylish and reflective of the home's character. All food served on site was delicious and all dietary requirements were catered for. We thoroughly enjoyed the communal dining experience, music and chats after dinner in the drawing room. Safe and secure parking on site.

It's the most beautiful place we've ever stayed and the most welcoming and friendly group of people and pets showed us around!
Nothing.
Unique property. Close to Dublin Family group on a tour of Ireland. The kids loved roaming the property, chasing the chickens. The food was fabulous. We had a private dinner which everyone loved. The owners were attentive to various food allergies. The breakfast was yogurt with granola and then full Irish breakfast if you wanted. Good Irish tea Although we only stayed one night we thoroughly enjoyed it
One group stayed at one of the cottages and didn’t like the facility. However the owners moved the mom into the main house without charge
We loved our last minute stay at Roundwood House.. beautiful character property, superb dinner well beyond our expectations and a fabulous breakfast. The Garden Room bedroom was just lovely and the staff so friendly and efficient.
Glorious house in a wonderful setting. Lovely just as it is.
The house, the setting the people- just what a perfect combination, absolutely loved our stay
Everything was perfect, nothing we didn't love
A very warm welcome with a real homely feel to the place. The library alone makes this worth the visit but the grounds are also so lush and magical.
It was one of the best stays I've had, in and out of Ireland. On top of the amazingly beautiful mansion, with its perfect decoration to make us feel at home, the wonderful food, and the luxurious rooms, Hannah is a great host. I've felt welcome from entering the building. Even when we were a few hours early for check-in, we got some tea to enjoy in the library room. It all was just lovely and so greatly enjoyable. I'll try to return in the future!
The original features and friendly staff and warm open fires. The place is packed with interesting books and a amazing cozy library
Nothing
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the countryside - a beautiful historic home and grounds. Breakfast and dinner were incredible and we were so grateful they could accommodate us with a custom vegan meal - truly gourmet. Kind and welcoming hosts. We can't wait to come again.
Breakfast was delightful. Food was fresh and home produced. Dinner was a culinary feast; flavors beautifully balanced and produce so fresh.
All excellent
lovely atmosphere and hostess, the food is also delicious
Historic and peaceful, an amazing experience
Nothing to complain about
Very friendly and warm hosts. Very atmospheric traditional manor house refurbished. If you like Georgian houses that can accommodate either private parties or quite weekends then this is the place.
Weather.
Very original
Wonderful stay, very characterful and cozy house. Food was outstanding!!
This is an unusual place but lovely. It’s like stepping back in time. A well appointed rooms with antique furniture.
The food and drinks, although beautifully cooked where quite expensive compared with other places we visited in Ireland.
All meals were OUTSTANDING all the way around!!!
Everything was great, in my opinion, nothing need to be changed nor improved upon.
We felt so well received at this very special hotel. Such charming staff and environment, plus a five star dinner in excellent company left is wanting to come back.
A very relaxing and enjoyable stay with delicious food. We were made very welcome with tea and biscuits on arrival! This place is ‘cool’
Really couldn’t fault anything. If you like quirky and interesting, this is the place for you.
The house and grounds were lovely. A true sense of history. I wish I could stay a week and relax and peruse their library, which is found not just in that building but in every room. The hosts and staff could not have been more friendly. The meals were delicious.
Unique and personal. We had a fantastic evening together with other guests, the host couple and an incredibly good dinner. Recommended!!! Peter & Ulrika 🇸🇪
