Southern Sun Mbombela

A localização e o pequeno almoço

Cleanest

There was no corkscrew or wine glasses in the room.

Rooms have undergone a refurbishment, new A/c and T.V’s.

Staff are not well trained, more interested in talking rather than clearing away clients used plates. The prices seem to be going up but the variety of dishes available for the breakfast and dinner buffets seem to be shrinking every year. Seriously disappointed as I have been coming here for the last 8 plus years.

We had a lovely and very comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating

-

Is always clean and safe. The breakfast is quite good.

Nothing to declare

Cleanliness

Nothing, all good

Location

Price

O pequeno almço nao era tao diversificado.

Lentidão dos funcionários para atender os pedidos.

Barulho dos quartos vizinhos a noite.

I really enjoyed my stay at Southern Sun Mbombela. One of the things I liked most was the location. It is very convenient, especially because it is located right near Riverside mall, making it easy to access restaurants, shops, and other attractions. The location was definitely one of the highlights of my stay.

One area that could be improved is the availability of halal food options. It would be great to have more halal choices available, especially for guests who require them. Also, the room was booked for four people, but there were only two cups provided. It would be helpful to ensure that enough cups are prepared according to the number of guests staying in the room. Other than these points, I enjoyed the convenient location and my stay overall.

Pool and gardens, friendly staff.

Smell of smoke in the corridor.

Amazing staff. Great dinner and breakfast. Great location. All over a wonderful 3 days.

How the staff forgot about other guests because Pirates was at the hotel as well

Nothing

Excellent emplacement.

Excelent breakfast and location.

Its style, the cleanliness, and friendly staff.

The staff is always helpful

Their computer system wasn't working properly, I tried to check my rewards points but couldn't

The facilities are excellent and so is the customer service. Its also a walk across the road from Riverside mall. 100% will be back and highly recommended

Ut is closer to UMP where I attended an inauguration

The bed should be bigger

Amazing staff! Spotlessly clean.

Nothing

All of it. The breakfast is wonderful

Gosto do hotel

I liked that it was closer to the mall

The guy at the reception didn't even bother to direct us to our room. I had to ask for directions, and when we arrived, our room was not properly cleaned. More specifically, in the bathroom, there was hair in the basin and skid marks in the toilet. I called the reception immediately to let them know about this issue, but they didn't send anyone. I called again after 30 minutes as I was agitated. Then they sent us to another room, but that room was also not better; there was a smell of urine in the bathroom, and after flushing, the water took too long to fill up in the toilet. There was also a little blockage in the shower drain. The buffet breakfast was a joke 😢 not good value for money at all

My 2 year old baby was comfortable at the hotel and that makes me happy. Secondly room service attended to my request for an extra blanket and toothbrush and paste, timelessly.

No salmon for breakfast.

It was well located - nice and clean - with a great outside pool area . Very enjoyable

All was good

Was too bad

Comodidades

Quartos muito apertados

Everything was top level

Good location

The overall experience was great and the staff is very friendly

Just to make sure they keep refilling the stock (like the coffee and water in the room)

Location for travelling through is excellent.

East to access. Clean and very comfortable.

During breakfast, the waiter does not automatically approach you with coffee. You have to wait for them to come and if you don’t call them, they won’t approach. Which was annoying to me. There aren’t many waiters in the floor to begin with. On our last morning there, my husband had to go search for a waiter to fetch us coffee. There isn’t any coffee station for me to access myself during breakfast.

Everything. Great security. Great front desk services.

The services during breakfast are lacking one feels like is disturbing the staff. They smile at you but do not come to you. In both days I had to get up from my table to find coffee and on Sunday I waited 40 mi for it to come in fact I had to ask again.

Clean rooms! Great staff who helped us carry our luggage. Ideal stop on your way to the Kruger with many shops close-by for last minute Kruger shopping.

Breakfast 👌 👏 it's a 10/10 I have no words to describe it, but catered and inclusive for everyone. Comfort out of this word 10/10

Nothing, my heart was full. Maybe what give more comfort or alter is the space, but above everything all was top deck.

Good staff

Location

When we arrived the system was offline so we could not check in on arrival. The following day, our beds were stripped and pesticide was sprayed in our rooms-this should have happened before arrival of guests. Lastly the passage smelt of cigarette smoke-was with my child so not great

breakfast was incredible, a variety and healthy food like the trout ribbons, avo, fruit was my personal favourite. I would like to see sourdough bread however i did enjoy the rye bread. Maybe a smoothie table instead of a pancake table would be nice as I did not see much people go for the pancakes. The cleaners were super friendly, i loved that. The front house and breakfast staff were very preoccupied with chatting with each other a bit too much. More focus on the customer would be recommended. But they were super efficient with clearing the tables. The popcorn and slushie at reception is such an incredible idea. Please don't ever change that. Compliments to the gentleman who took our bags to the car, he was so friendly and eager to hand us each a bottle of water. Much appreciated.

The gym was very small, a games room for the kids would be nice, i hated the DSTV with MNet channels, it was highly dissappointing. Netflix would be a better choice for me. A library room with good selection of books with a fire- place could spruce the area. There were some motorbikes parked in the parking area and towards the evening there were a few seconds of revving and making some noice.

Atendimento. Limpeza.

Cleanliness

The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was superb and catered well for vegetarians. There is a lovely garden to sit in and enjoy a drink. Dinner was also a buffet and was great value for money.

All our needs were catered for.

Breakfast was perfect 👌 10 out 10. Location perfect. Everything was exceptional from friendly staff and the room very clean.

The room size was good.

Security checks while entering. They did not register vehicle.

Classic style and service

We needed to change rooms because the fridge wasn't working, but this was easily facilitated

I Indicated during my booking that we are two, but the hotel had supplies for one person.
