My husband and son stayed on there for their first stop down to the South Island trip .They accommodated great parking for thier trailer and race car,And they had very comfy beds and great location.Perfect 👍

The room we stayed in was clean and easy to navigate. It was worth the money we paid for, we were happy with everything in our room.

The parking was a little tricky at times, due to the pool being right outside our room and 2 utes parked next to us but this was out of the motels control.

It was all good, as expected, quiet enough and tidy. Clean, no fuss.

The room was a good size and bed was very comfortable. Nice shower to. Also the spa was just what we needed after a long day on the sports field.

Carpark is very hard to navigate with a large vehicle.

The price, this is the second time we have used the big room. We are a sports team and it's hard to find a place to accomadate us all. In one place.

Nothing much stood out as a group of adults without kids.

The biggest negative was the lack of heating. Our stay was the middle of winter and the unit was freezing. The only heat source was one of those infrared directional patio type heaters which work well if you're sat right in front of it but they don't heat the air. Bathroom and bedrooms very cold. Very basic and tired but it did the job.

It was comfortable without being spectacular, it is older so a little dated but wasn't a biggie, good location - slept 6 which was reasonable value, there were only two of us so lost a bit on value

the water pressure in the shower was very weak

Beds were absolutely amazing (comfortable) we stayed in a family room so it was good for what we paid. Room, bathrooms/showers we clean. Our room was serviced daily with clean sheets and towels

Everything easy private - had to call last minute to advise i would be running late and they immediately arranged the room key to be in the drop box with a map + we loved the spa

Everything was great I only spoke with the owner operator over the phone but he was lovely :)

My husband and I stay here on our way from Wellington to cut travel time down, we find this motel suits us as its cosy cost is good and not alot of road noise

Unwelcoming front desk attendant. Struggled to sleep due to the large trucks coming down the hill, made the headboard vibrate.

I stayed in a cabin - the bed was so comfortable, and the room was clean and well aired, and warm. Great being able to find a place that I could bring dog (but not in the rooms).

The shared kitchen was sparce - but I understand that. There was a bit of noise from the upstairs room but expect that with people walking around.

The size of the bathroom was good, there is a pool and spa (which we weren't able to use so wasn't a feature of choosing this motel over others).

The room I booked in the app said "room has 2 beds," I booked the 1bdrm suite to have a bit more space and because of the kitchenette. The room we were given only had 1 queen bed, spoke to staff and was given a smaller room which had 2 beds in it (I deliberately had not booked that room because it was too small and had no kitchenette). Hence I paid more but ended up with a cheaper room and not refunded the difference. Asked for a slightly late checkout, wasn't informed if there was a fee for that, later on once my phone was fixed I saw a message saying that there is a fee for late checkouts depending on the time. Had I been informed there was a fee, I would've just checked out at 10am.

It was a big lounge. Sheets and duvet was lovely duvet nice n warm.

The bed was lumpy. The shower needs attention the water sprays out of side of rose.

The studio apartments were very good.

The 'shared bathrooms' cabins with 1 bed were some distance from the bathroom block. We had to move one Guest as there was a hole in the wall and a mouse got in.

Good soundproof, as we did not hear any neighbours during our stay. Electric blankets on all beds (2 single and 1 queen) were good. Fast heating heater in open plan lounge, dining, and kitchen. Despite being located on the main highway, the traffic sound was not loud at all. Awesome full kitchen with stove etc. Very clean and tidy throughout. Spare blankets and pillows were available in both bedroom's very large closets. Fully carpeted throughout.

Portable heater in large bedroom not working. Twin bed room very small with no heater. Maybe swap the twin single beds into the larger room. The fridge was a bit noisy. Bedrooms were quite cold, but luckily for the electric blankets.

Very tidy place, surrounded by nature. Has communal toilets and kitchen for all staying, has a camp ground. I really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely. We will definitely be back again.

We used the multi bedroom as we had 6 adults in our whanau and it was more comfortable than a marae

The Owner was very pleasant and friendly. Parking wasn't a problem at Easter weekend and they were fully booked. I've stayed here a couple of times before and would definitely keep returning.

Beautiful grounds well kept. We didn’t end up staying as the room wasn’t suitable for our needs due to me not reading the info correctly when booking.

Family room was one communal room and the toilet was shared down a steep flight of stairs outside and around the corner. Website stated it was a shared bathroom but I misunderstood.

Toilet and showers being so far from where we stayed upstairs dormitory, specially being on my Monthly, its a bit of a walk to get too and back in the night.

I booked a basic cabin. It was clean, warm and comfortable. Bed was very comfy. Warm welcome at check in.

Unter dem Bett in dem Cabin, das ich hatte, hat schon lang niemand mehr gestaubsaugt. Das Cabin war recht einfach eingerichtet: Bett, Stuhl, Nachttisch, Spiegel - das war's.

No breakfast but all else was good.

No washing facilities for dishes. Having to try get water from bath basin for jug.

Absolutely everything was amazing we stayed at rydges hotel and wellington and this was by far the best stay compared to other places. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Tourists not being tidy kiwis 🤣 it's not hard to wipe up after yourself. If sharing facilities share the clean up of your own stuff. But the staff were so helpful.
