The hosts. They are wonderful.

Few mosquitoes in the dormitory.

I loved the ambience. The cats were a bonus. Staff was very friendly and I loved the community like feeling of meeting new people. The bed was quite spacious and super clean. The common areas were nice to sit in too.

The area smelt like cat poop everywhere. I think that needs to be taken care of a little. The shower head in my bathroom was broken and it was difficult to figure out water temperature. I think these are the only two things I had an issue with.

Some other foreign occupant try to create issues with me with the knowledge of the staff

Lots of boards with activities but mostly not updated, was hard to know what actually was happening. Woke up for yoga but then wasn't happening... Perhaps as was the end of the season.

It had a weird stuffy smell, felt very dingy. People were sleeping in the common rooms.

A very communal and cozy hostel. The staff were very helpful and super friendly. The rooms are very simply furnished, but you have everything you need. The location is perfect; everything in the city is within walking distance.

The toilets and kitchen could be cleaner.

A calm and peaceful place located near the fort kochi beach. The host was very welcoming and accommodating and assisted with local cuisine which was much appreciated. And the place has 24 hours of hot water service.

The Host. SIJIN. He is very helpful and polite. We left our charger and caps. He helps us to pack and send. Also helped with local recommendation and rental two wheeler

The staffs friendly and great adventure activities always happening at the hostel.

The common washroom was on rooftop and not suitable for hostel guests to use. The rooms themselves were clean.

The vibe, the people, the staff - 10/10. Excellent experience. What a wonderful crowd.

Had the best of time over here!! Everything is at a walkable distance. Entertainment is the best - ask Sijin (community manager) to show you his card tricks if you want to feel bamboozled!

It was at a good location and I liked the vibe of the people who stayed there and Also if the manager was cute, and if they could smile more often! And lots of writes up, doodles and paintings by gokul they were so pretty.

There was odd smell in the room; even after leaving the windows open for 2-3 hours the smell didn't go away and the staff were unacessible to me at all times and either they weren't seen or they were too busy to do anything I asked for

I didn't really like much about this establishment.

No one on check in when I arrived, cheap AC that didn't really do a good job, was lumped with two guys (who'd moved from another AC room where they had the same issue) that didn't really even want the AC on, despite paying for it 🤷 neither myself not the other guest were consulted about this and we were left to sweat when the guys came back, turned the AC temperature up and then left for hours... photos of the place aren't really representative of the state of the establishment. Cheap is the best selling point for this place.

People and friendly crowd

Bathroom were not neat, its not mentioned that bathroom is not attached to two sharing dorms.

the stuff wasn’t much friendly for as i am travelling solo indian, they mainly focus on the foreigners. i opted for a 2 bed mix dom with no private bathroom. i had to keep reminding the stuff to clean the common washroom

It was a great experience staying over there and meeting like minded other solo travelers and even groups of people across the globe. The hosts were amazing, they helped me in suggesting good cafes and other must visit places nearby.

Washroom facilities could be improved.

Friendly atmosphere

The brand name! On that basis we decided to go to Zostel Fort Cochi. We have visited Zostels in other parts of India.

Let me list it down for you- The commode wasnt cleaned properly. There was no proper water supply in the bathroom both hot and cold. It took forever to fill just one bucket. The fan wasnt working and they had to replace it which took forever. Even that didnt work properly. The room had many mosquitoes and no repellent helped. Speaking about the kitchen.... its the most dirtiest place of the hostel. There was no detergent to wash vessels. So imagine the results. The neighbors have over 20 cats and they are all over the hostel.. making it stinky and uncomfortable. There is no car parking for the hostel. I would like to stop at this. Thanks

The location is great and the stay is cozy although a little compact. Danny is a great host and he really helped us with everything. The swing at the entrance is the cutest and the beds are also quite clean and even the washrooms.

The beds were clean and the normal hostel rooms seemed to be alright (without having used them). Staff is friendly and welcoming.

The private room smelled like mold and the bathroom also had molden spots. We were promised hot water for like 1 hour (always got to know "it will come soon"), and still ended up taking a cold shower. Hot shower was available in the morning. some homestays offer way better facilities for less than half the price.
