The breakfast was great

My room was tiny with a broken toilet .

Perfect for our needs, and our dog loved it too. Our food in the restaurant was delicious. Staff were all very friendly and helpful

Location in suburb grounds.

Needs updating . Room was dusty & dark . Aged furniture , old bed with springs sticking through mattress . Bath panel falling off .

The hotel is in a nice, quiet location. It has a big garden - ideal for letting my dog stretch his legs a little. There is a golf corse just across the road with public access to its paths for longer walk. The hotel is quite old as is the decor. Nevertheless my room was very clean and comfortable. My dog was welcome to stay in my room and to go in all the public areas. The staff were freindly and welcoming. The food at dinner and breakfast was good.

For such a dog friendly hotel I was surprised that there wasn’t a dog bowl in the room. A minor detail but one that mattered to me.

Quiet and just far enough away from the Main Street but not to far that it felt un walkable, rooms and buildings had an authentic rustic Scottish aesthetic.

My partner is scared of spiders and having to deal with them wasn’t ideal as the ceiling’s were high and lots of cobwebs thought the upper floor

Old rooms, feels like being in older times. Really liked the big bathrooms and that in the family room there was both a shower and a bath. Big car park

Beds were uncomfortable and noisy. The doors didn’t feel secure. Breakfast wasn’t nice

General lack of maintenance of building fabric IE vegetation in gutters. All sash windows need cleaning and replacing. Ash trays in garden look as though they haven't been emptied for a while. No fresh fruit or natural yoghurt for breakfast.

The location, quiet and peaceful (no weddings!) and bed comfort, breakfast was good.

The flat screen TV that kept glitching, impossible to watch it.

Cooked breakfast was fine but breakfast menu listed pastries of which there were none. Coffee machine needs replacing - gave me a cup of discoloured hot water as a cappuccino. After attention from staff member, it made all the right noises but the drink was bitter and watery.

Il posto è davvero bello, immerso in un grande parco. Lo staff molto gentile. Pulizia nello standard inglese. Colazione sufficiente, non posso dire riguardo i dolci perchè ho preso solo salato. Parcheggio ampio e gratuito.

Considerando che l'hotel è un po' fuori è quasi automatico cenare in loco. Il menu potrebbe essere un po' più ricco, i piatti sono limitati. Comunque in generale buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Bella struttura con ristorante e bar all’interno. Ottima per una breve sosta. Fantastica colazione. Stanza molto spaziosa. Da rivedere la pulizia

What a wonderful surprise! A hidden little gem with outstanding food. We were absolutely delighted. We had the fish cake, the salmon, and the deer (venison) steak. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended!

Quite old and smelly hotel. Breakfast had no healthy options. Rooms are renovated but still very old.

The staff were very nice and helpful and I even received instructions on how to make Scottish porridge!!

The rooms were a bit musty, probably due to the age of the building but it was a bit noticeable - some might say this makes it more authentic but for me it didn’t.

Il Dunmar House Hotel è un gioiello di architettura anglosassone, quando si arriva dalla stradina privata direttamente nel parcheggio l'effetto è garantito! La struttura è circondata dal verde e situata in una zona residenziale molto tranquilla, a disposizione degli ospiti si trova un grande parco per passeggiate serali e gli alberi centenari conferiscono allo scenario un tocco di bellezza senza tempo. L'interno è di stampo tradizionale, moquette e mobili/decorazioni ricercati. La stanza era molto spaziosa e con una bellissima vista sul parco, il bagno privato ampio con vasca e doccia separate, pulizia impeccabile con lenzuola profumate e fresche. Lo staff è disponibile e molto accomodante, abbiamo usufruito del servizio serale per la cena e i piatti erano deliziosi e le porzioni generose. La colazione inclusa nel prezzo è eccellente, è presente un piccolo buffet con succhi e bevande calde e il resto viene preparato direttamente al momento, abbiamo molto apprezzato la variante vegetariana davvero gustosa! In conclusione il nostro soggiorno è stato piacevole e comodo e sicuramente se dovesse ricapitare l'occasione torneremo a soggiornare in questa struttura!

I guess that once upon a time this was a magnificent house but now showing signs of neglect.

Felt completely unloved like it no longer wanted to be a hotel. Very basic.

Hotel retains quite extensive private lawns in front, which were a particularly welcome facility on a warm summer evening. Bedroom was spacious and overlooked these. Plenty of parking space, and easy access by road, while it's a pleasant stroll of less than half an hour into the historic centre of Alloa.

Great Breakfast choice and lovely cooked breakfast. Bar area and study looked nice although didnt use them.

Rooms were very dated and looked like hadn't been decorated in about 35 years. Tiles were like my granny had in the 90's

El lugar era precioso y amplio, el desayuno estuvo genial. El personal fue amable y la cama súper cómoda.

Booking nos estafó con el parking. Resulta que había una opción que pagabas 10€ más y te ofrecía parking. Cuando llegamos al hotel no había hueco (Porque el parking es libre) y el personal intentó resolverlo como pudo aunque nos daba opciones un poco reguleras. Booking intentó culpar al hotel y nos "devolvió" el dinero pero dentro de la propia aplicación para reinvertirlo en ellos.

The hotel was lovely beautiful grounds staff very freindley .the room we were in was a family room spotless and very spacious had everything we needed .Breakfast was a very good choice we opted for a full english it was lovely

Run down. Needing grounds seen to and updated inside. Linoleum in bathroom cracked and peeling with age. Carpets old. Room door not secure due to skirtings being loose. Shower old. Breakfast was oily. Very basic and could not eat. Grounds need tidied. Grass growing in drain pipes.

Parking at the hotel. Lovely cooked food, evening meals & breakfast. Nice location and a beautiful building. Great to see how busy the hotel is. Very friendly staff. Hotel has undertaken many had improvements.

Uncomfortable bed, my preference is something a little softer but partner found it was ok. Bathroom in need of some TLC, still very functional.

The house was beautiful, the garden was beautiful, the room was beautiful, the staff were amazing, such an awesome place to stay and the bathroom was stunning as you will see in the pictures, breakfast and breakfast choices were great we really enjoyed our breakfast experience 😊

The TV didn't work very well but we weren't in the room enough for it to be a problem.

We stayed for 3 days, shad wonderful food, breakfast, lunch and dinner even room service. The team real credit to this quaint family run hotel. Really cheap too for drinks as well as food, even takes dogs, loads of wooded walks, gean park minutes from the door step!

Breakfast was amazing, the best I've ever had at a hotel, clearly a very high standard. Staff were friendly, grounds were peaceful and nice, plenty of parking.

The shower was somewhat ridiculous, it lacked the pressure to even spray any water outwards when at the highest setting which barely allowed me to stand under it. I had to hold it in one hand and trickle water over myself little by little, it took ages. The bath towels were also pretty small.

Quiet location, good Wi-Fi connection, comfortable room and a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is set in a peaceful area, which made for a relaxing stay.

The property is a little dated in some areas and could benefit from some refurbishment, but nothing that significantly affected the stay.

Staff was really nice, girl at check in was lovely. Breakfast was pretty good too, although the coffee wasn't great.

Paid £150 for one night and we were "upgraded" from a compact room to a family room. I think £70 would have been plenty for the standard of room delivered. Room 6 family room was quite poor. The floor joists in the bathroom sounded like they were going to collapse into the floor below had buckled through parts of the floor covering. There were suspicious splashes on the bathroom walls which were blood coloured. There was no mirror or dressing table despite being a decent sized family room. Nice view over courtyard. Bed was pretty hard. No pillow protectors under pillowcases and they were quite stained and could've done with a wash. Pretty tired decor.

Staff were friendly and helpful, good breakfast and dinner with plenty to eat. Quiet location but close to amenities.

Furnishings are a bit dated, could do with refurbishing but this is reflected in the price.

A gorgeous old hotel…a little tired but excellent spot with a beautiful garden. Rooms are a reasonable size and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast great.

The staff here are wonderful and a real asset to the hotel. We had a small problem with our room and they were fantastic. All sorted quickly and without fuss. We slept well as the room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great with a good range of food available. We were with our dogs, who the kind and helpful staff fussed over and gave sausage to at breakfast. A truly dog-friendly hotel!

Altes, uriges englisches Herrenhaus. Die Zimmer wurden offensichtlich erst renoviert und wirken freundlich. Die Eigentümerin ist wunderbar und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war o.k.

Samantha very friendly upon check in process. I explained to her that Booking had booked 2 rooms for the night and asked her to cancel one. Room was fine and breakfast was great!

I was charged for 2 rooms and management states I received services?

Location was very good and perfect for the event we attended less than a mile away. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and dining room was quiet Easy parking, lovely surroundings Heating in room was very effective

Bedroom & bathroom were both a fantastic size but window frames could have been cleaner- there was mould around the window frames. Strangely although the room was cleaned daily the bed was not made

The staff were very attentive and helpful and the room and stay was otherwise great.

The mattress was really hard and uncomfortable and the flush on toilet was loose. I also thought the cooked breakfast was extremely greasy.
