Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Tout était vraiment chouette dans ce pub b&b ! La chambre familiale est très fonctionnelle, la literie agréable. C est calme malgré le pub en dessous. Nous étions la mercredi soir, nous avons eu un concert de musique traditionnelle très sympa ! On a vraiment apprécié le petit déjeuner, et toutes nos demandes ont été réalisées avec le sourire et sans problème. La nourriture est bonne ! On reviendra sans soucis
Rien. C était notre moment de calme dans le voyage ! Les voisins un peu bruyants la seconde nuit, mais ça l hôtel n y peut rien !

A hearty, traditional Irish breakfast was served. There is also a well-stocked supermarket nearby. Free parking right at the property was another plus. The hotel offered a pleasant, homey atmosphere.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Het ontbijt was prima. De kamer was schoon en werd ook na de eerste nacht schoon gemaakt terwijl wij aan het ontbijten waren.
De prijskwaliteitverhouding. Geen airco of ventilator op de kamer waardoor het erg warm was. De bedden waren aan de korte en zachte kant. Personeel was erg kortaf. Er was niet echt sprake van een warm welkom en er werd niet gevraagd hoe het verblijf was bevallen. Erg gehorige kamer (geluiden van de pub) maar door de warmte was het geen optie de ramen 's avonds te sluiten.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026Convenient location for Gandalough in one direction and the coast in another. This is a traditional Irish pub at the centre of the community with visitors made welcome! Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.
No complaints. Some reviews mention noise from live music but it didn’t bother us. You expect some noise from a lively pub!

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Der urige, belebte Pub mit seinen gutgelaunten Besucher hat uns gefallen.
Wir bekamen nicht unser gebuchtes Zimmer. An der Rezeption wurde uns gesagt, dass es das Zimmer auf dem Bild in meinen Unterlagen nicht gäbe. Sie hätten gar keine 4-Bettzimmer. Es waren unseren letzten 3 Urlaubstage und wir hatten extra ein schönes, recht teures Zimmer gebucht. 100 Euro pro Nacht teurer als das was wir bekamen. Das war ein dunkles sehr einfaches, etwas tristes Zimmer. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Bei der Buchung war klar, dass es am Samstagabend bis 12.00h Musik geben würde. Wir wußten nicht dass wir direkt über die Musikanlage unser Zimmer hatten und auch nicht dass man in unserem Zimmer durch ein offenes Dachfenster die Discomusik vom Pub gleichzeitig hören mußten. Diese ging bis 0.30h. Es war nachts nicht möglich das Dachfenster zu schließen. Wir haben die Kakophonie aufgenommen. Auch am Sonntagabend gab es überraschend sehr laute Musik bis um 12.00h. In unserer letzten Nacht hatte das Personal wohl vergessen, dass in Nummer 11 , unser Zimmer, dGäste untergebracht waren. Vor unserer Zimmertür war es auch nach 12.00h noch sehr laut, bis ich dann aus dem Bett gekommen bin und um Ruhe gebeten habe. Wir waren insgesamt sehr enttäuscht.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026We stayed three nights there and had a really good time. Everybody was very friendly, the room was nice and breakfast at the pub was also very good. The pub had a nice vibe, also for dinner, it's always good to see locals in the pubs. The village itself had its charm, location is great if you want to go hiking in the wicklow mountains. I would plan of returning there some day!

It was impossible to sleep. If you need to sleep, don't stay there. Above VERY noisy pub, by VERY busy narrow through road. Juke box and shouty people until 2am. Food average. Cooked breakfast cheapest sausages, cold mushrooms, tiny portion of lukewarm baked beans with 3 baked beans in it! Overpriced for what it is. It's advertised as with parking but there is no private car park and you are warned not to park on the through road in case your car is damaged. Now staying in a much nicer hotel 100 euros cheaper.

Wir hatten ein Dreibettzimmer. Leider waren die drei Einzelbetten an den Wänden, die eigentlich für andere Betten vorgesehen waren. So war mein Nachkästchen direkt an der Stirnseite. Musste eine Kissen davor legen um nicht direkt die Kante am Kopf zu haben. Das Hotel war völlig in Ordnung, aber das Preis-Leistungsniveau-Verhältnis Harnische gepasst!
