Hotel Mifujien

the reception lady told me the meal I ordered can be refund cause I ordered two person but only one come. but When I checked out they told me it's not refundable…the room is so noisy, you can hear people walking and talking next door.

The hotel is nice, however at dinner tine the smells in the hallways are quite strong

Was allowed to use onsen with tattoos. However despite shellfish allergy fed dinner with so much shellfish the breakfaat was better.

Very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere all around. The Japanese style room I stayed in was unique and had everything I needed even though it was very simple in nature.

Good experience

We had a pleasant stay. Although the hotel is in need of a refresh, it provides good value for visitors. The portions of the meals were generous. We enjoyed the onsen and the mountain view from our hotel room was priceless.

The hotel itself is a bit out dated. But the room is pretty of space. Also the staff are very friendly.

Our reservation came with a dinner and a breakfast, the meals were much more sumptuous than we expected. The room was quite spacious which was a big plus.

The food is so good, king crab for dinner is yummy. The facility at onsen area and changing room is bit simple.

The location was great. The condition inside the property was not ideal. The sink and the bathroom were not clean. There were a lot of stains and spots. There were several insects I found inside the room.

10am checkout. 2 hours elderly man rushed into the room to do cleaning at 10:10am while my wife is putting on her clothes to leave.

Great experience

We stayed one night at Hotel Mifujien in the Japanese style room. It was very pleasant and clean. We enjoyed the onsen very much. There were a few things that would ruin the experience for someone more picky. There was bad sewage smell from the bathroom. With closed doors to the room, it wasn’t too bad, but someone more sensitive could have had a hard time tolerating it. Also, glass in the onsen can be cleaned more often as it was hard to enjoy the view through salt stains. For dinner, we went to a restaurant near by. It would be nice to have an option to buy breakfast at the hotel, our reservation didn’t have it included. But overall we enjoyed our stay and the room. Fuji was kind to us to show all its beauty. It was breathtaking.

Good view & delicious food breakfast & dinner. Very nice staff. Will stay here again

Don't be fooled by the pictures they posted. This hotel is terrible! The room is dirty, smelly and disgusting. I didn't even take a shower because of the black mold in the bathroom. This is not a Japanese standard. What a shame! You need to switch 3 elevators to get to the room. I believe it is another old building somehow connected to the hotel. Dirty wall, dirty air conditioner. So called Mountain View is a bunch of machines on the top of another building . The location is not convenient. High price for a terrible stay.

A bit old and not too clean but very good location!

Very friendly, clean and with a great view

Stayed in room 412 bathroom was very smelly and had mold. Bed linen had a funny smell, fridge was broken meaning we had to throw away some food we bought with us. Room was dated and worn out. Found several bugs in the room during our 2 day stay. Would not stay again.

Our short stay at Hotel Mifujien and Kawaguchiko was wonderfull. The room had a breathtaking view of Fuji-San, plenty of space and gave us a proper traditional Japanese experience. Whist our party aren't the biggest lovers of sashimi, the half board food offering had plenty to try and taste. The sheer amount included was wonderfull. Both hostesses for our evening and morning meals were very attentive and welcoming. Overall our little excursion to the base of Mount Fuji was improved by our stay at this hotel. Definitely one to visit again when we are back in Japan.

A great stay. Easy to locate with public transport but will be nicer if the hotel shuttle bus can be offered in earlier hours of the day. Lovely view from the room.

Everything all good

Cet hôtel me plaisait beaucoup

.

The Japanese style room with Fuji view is charming.

This hotel is the perfect stay to have a great view of the Mount Fuji. Our booking included Japanese style dinner and breakfast which were very complete. The service was absolutely amazing! The beds were not very comfortable, but overall the room was great!

Very good

The reception is very helpful, and the food is delicious

The room is quite big. We were a party of 4, so the room had 2 beds and 2 Japanese futons, which were all very comfortable. We went to the hot tub, which was located on the same floor as our room. The communal area was quite clean. Our package includes dinner and breakfast. Both were delicious. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay.

There was no water in our room. That's unacceptable. Onsen was great that's why i gave 3 stars.

Good location. Accommodating staff who listened to our requests. Tasty food and great views of Mt Fuji. Open air bath was nice

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the dinner service was great! However the room was very dated and needed an update. Furniture and walls were visibly dirty and worn out. If you have allergies do not stay here, the room was very musty and dusty. Really wanted to like this hotel with its great views and onsen, but wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately.

Perfect onsen and a place to relax.

In room Fujisan view is wonderful. Room is spacious. Easy parking.

With Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko view. It is really nice view. Meal charges is not high and those dishes are value to the price.

A great hotel with an amazing view and comfortable futon. The layout of the hotel with its many elevators was a bit troublesome.

Both dinner& breakfast are good Good views

This is a traditional Onsen hotel. We stayed in a Japanese tatami room facing Mt Fuji. The staff prepared the futons for us. The staff were polite and friendly. The Japanese breakfast was good. Shuttle service was provided from the train station.

Traditional Japanese Onsen hotel. Fantastic views of mt Fuji. A bit dated.

A very unique experience. The dinner set was quite impressive and very very unique. We really enjoyed the experience. The server was a very nice lady. The room was large and very nice with a stunning view of the lake. Too bad we could not see Mnt Fuji since it was very cloudy

Since we step in the hotel, staff there were very unfriendly and rude. There was no service at all and was the worst experience I have ever had staying in an ryokan. The dinner was tasteless and the tiger shrimp seemed rotten and cooked for a long time. Rice and miso soup were served after we have finished all our m doishes. Furniture was old and with stains. The morning breakfast was much better than the dinner. The hotel seems not welcoming us for staying the night.

Good location

A very outdated and old hotel. No extra service, no one to help with your baggage as there is only 1 service staff at the counter. With the price paid, I think you can have better choices!

this is 2nd time stay here. I like good view , staff and breakfast

Our room is not clean enough.. there are some hairs on the floor and on the mattress. The hotel cannot provide just one more extra pillow and staff doesn't help. Breakfast are disappointing 😢

The scenery is stunning. The hotel facilities & staffs are impressive. Even though there is nothing much to do nearby the hotel, the transportation is quite good.you can take a sightseeing bus (Red-line) for traveling around since there is a bust stop right away less than 100m from the hotel :-)

Excellent

Good service!

Good service

The hotel is providing very good services to all guess. However, the traffic to the hotel is not convenient.

Room was dusty, after running the AC to the max, the room is still cold all night. And the hall way of 10th floor was cold. Will not recommend to come during winter months.

Nice onsen and great view of Mount Fuji!

The Mt Fuji view is super, food is delicious, area is quite, and transportation is easy around the lake.

Amazing view and excellent service from hotel staffs. I'd recommend this hotel :)

This place is amazing and out of my expectation. We spent one night there and the service and food are luxurious. The hotel environment is very traditional Japanese like in 90s style. However, we enjoyed the huge Tatami room and dining room. The dining experience is very unique to us. Also, the hot spring is incredible too. Make sure to go hot spring around sunrise. Honestly, I would rate this place 3.5 out of 5 by just reviewing those Google comments. After spending one night here, I would have 4.5 out of 5 and would like to revisit here again!

Super smelly in my room, my room number is 415, do take note, there is a dam strong smell in the toilet, and I wonder why the hotel didn’t do anything about it, I have read other people review that their room is smelly too, so I guess this room has been smelly for quite a period? Does the hotel feel that it doesn’t matter to them? Since only one guest will get this room. I Spend over $300/night just for this smelly room, Doesn’t make sense right? And I request to change room, however it was full. When I first ask the staff about it, she just say can’t do anything, and I request to change room the next day when other guest check-out, as I’ve booked the room for 2nights, she didn’t bother to check if there’s any guests checking out next day to let me change, and just tell me that it fully booked. What a good customer service. The next morning, I went down to counter and request for a change of room, this time is a guy who serve me, and he went into the office to ask his manager, so he checked the system, and get me another room whereby the guests gonna check out.PLEASE TAKE NOTE ROOM 415, SMELLY AF. Laundry is closed for the first night I stay, but resume it service the next day. 2 onsen available. Walk around 20min to the nearest Lawson at late night as there is no more bus service after 7pm. Anyway, the food is good, and the staffs at the restaurant is friendly too.

We had a lovely stay. Little old but has a character. Good food and Onsen bath. Bus stop is just a minute walk from the hotel but you may have to work out how and which bus to take. Good are to walk around too. For a Japanese good old feeling, for those who from overseas, would be a unique experience.

Staffs were very friendly. View from our room was amazing (facing Mount Fuji).

The staff is very friendly and helpful

Love the room, i can see Mt Fuji clearly with her reflection in the lake. I enjoyed the sumptuous kaiseiki meal for both breakfast and dinner.

Great view looking at Mt. Fuji but the hotel is a little bit up.

Have some spider web in the door.

The property quite old and very traditional. Toilet very smelly. Meals included in half board very nice. Staff friendly.

Staff was very helpful. Meals were good and delicious

This hotel has nice view of Fujisan

Fuji view from room is very good. Food is nice. Onsen is good.

We love the location. It is close to Hotel Kukuna which is one of the bus stop. And we did not choose meal option and could have a very nice meal at Route Inn next door. Onsen is perfect (very large and clean and excellent view). Great view of Mt. Fuji. We do not like the shuttle service availabilities as it only runs three times (0900, 0930 and 1000). The inroom heating is perfect. The amenities (beds, fridge, shower, toilet, etc.) was great. Some of the past reviews have been unfair, in my opinion, as we are quite familiar with this type of accommodation and loved this hotel for meeting our expectation. Definitely we will come back again.

The staff was very helpful, the onsen was a treat, the breakfast was delicious, and the shuttle was very convenient.

Great service. But hotel condition is outdated and old.

Recommend!

The hotel is in a great location, close to the town centre and tourist locations, such as cable car. The onsen facing Mount Fuji is particularly impressive, allowing us to admire the mountain while enjoying the onsen. Staff was friendly and supportive, with good English skills. There is an open and free car park just outside the hotel. Overall experience was great.

Excellent Mt. Fuji view with reasonable price. Room is clean and tidy. The dinner and breakfast are good and fresh as well. Just the hot spring pool on 7th floor is little small. A Family of four from Toronto Canada.

Clean, good service overall and decent hot spring facilities (and a good view to Mt. Fuji)

Nice view
