Very little provided in the way of the small things other hotels provide. Only one bottle of water on arrival and then charged for after that. Other hotels left small offerings like a bottle of wine or a couple of biscuits as a welcome and thank you for choosing their establishment.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Une magnifique vue sur la mer depuis notre petit balcon, la petite plage de galets au pied de l'hôtel était parfaite. Le personnel est accueillant et très réactif: nous avons eu un petit problème de climatisation, celui-ci a été réglé dans l'heure. Hôtel très bien situé, à 10mn à pied des ferries et assez proche des bus pour se déplacer sur l'île. Tout était parfait, nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir!

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026Great location for exploring the town. Short walk from the ferry . We had a room overlooking the sea. Clean and comfortable room plenty of space as we had booked a junior suite. There were plenty of places to sit and relax around the hotel and outside areas, The guys in the bar were very friendly and helpful and ladies who did the breakfast were all lovely. Reception ladies nice but not all of them as friendly and welcoming as the other staff.

A lovely room overlooking the busy harbour (but with efficient double glazing to cut out the noise). Pleasant public spaces and outdoor sitting areas overlooking the quieter open sea. Pleasant staff - good breakfasts - what more could you want?

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Our hotel room was very spacious and it had a beautiful outlook over the sea. You could even swim in the Aegean Sea using steps leading down from the hotel. Every section of the hotel had a view of either the sea or the port. It was only a 5 minute walk from the port to the hotel, so very accessible if arriving by sea jet. Many restaurants, cafes and shops were within walking distance of the hotel.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Loved this beautiful hotel, well restored and renovated since we last visited in the 70’s! Friendly and efficient staff, airy and comfortable lounges and bar. Lovely outside courtyard, sea views and sunbeds. Spacious, very comfortable bedroom with sea view balcony. Modern bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Fabulous harbour-front location. Usual Greek breakfast offerings.
Really missed a kettle / tea/ coffee in the room for that first hot drink in the morning. Steps! Though not a problem for many, sadly, for us now being older, the number of stairs is a difficulty. The small, self service breakfast area has a flight of steps down to a larger dining area - very difficult when carrying a tray of food. There are also two levels in this area with no demarcation on the step- dangerous.

J'ai malencontreusement réservé 2 chambres alors qu'une seule chambre me suffisait et que je n'ai reçu de booking qu'une facture pour 1 chambre. l'hotel a donc reçu le reglement pour 2 chambres . J'ai demandé a l'hotel de me rembourser une chambre (125€ ) ce qui m'a été refusé. L'Hermes a donc recu le réglement de 2x125 € car ils ont pu louer la chambre que je n'ai pas occupé a un autre client . Donc je n'ai vraiment pas apprécié

Il n'y a pas d'accueil, si vous êtes avec des enfants on sent que leur présence n'est pas désirée , nous avions 2 chambres, mes parents et nous avec nos 2 enfants, 2 et 4 ans, chambres aux derniers étages, vue sur une façade en ruine, l'impression que l'on nous a mis dans un coin pour ne gêner personne.

Tους υπευθυνους με την αυθορμητη ευγενεια τους να σε κανουν να νοιωθεις καλοδεχουμενος καθ ολη τη διαρκεια παραμονης μας. Reviewed Apr 5, 2026Πολύ ωραία θέση με θέα σε ολόκληρο το λιμάνι. Φτάσαμε εύκολα με τα πόδια, χωρίς σκαλιά ή πολύ περπάτημα. Πολύ καλό πρωινό. Άνετα, φωτεινά δωμάτια.
Το μόνο περίεργο ήταν ότι για το ζεστό νερό στο μπάνιο έπρεπε να περιμένουμε να τρέξει η βρύση για αρκετά λεπτά.

Osa henkilökuntaa kohteli tylysti. Esim. yksi respan virkailija vastasi, että tämä on hotelli, pidä pyöräsi missä haluat-tämmöinen vastaus, kun kyseltiin mihin vuokrapyörät saadaan yöksi-ja vastaus kysymykseen-onko turvallista pitää pyöriä ulkona yön yli-vastaus: en tiedä, tämä on kuitenkin saari,ehkä vaikea varastaa....Näin yksi väärälle alalle hankkiutunut henkilö voi pilata loman-onneksi seuraavana päivänä oli respasssa virkailijoita, jotka tulivat sanomaan,että pyörät voi viedä autotalliin...yhden yön ne olivat ulkona.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2026Great location. Easy to order cab from the front desk to Ano Syros. Breakfast was delicious and views from the balconies were among the best I’ve ever seen in all my travels. Staff was friendly and polite, especially at the bar!
We used the laundry service and were shocked at the price - over €100 for a week’s worth of clothing.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026Η τοποθεσία εξαιρετικά βολική. Η θέα από το δωμάτιο και τη βεράντα άξιζε! Το ξενοδοχείο και τα δωμάτια πολύ καθαρά . Το πρωινό πολύ καλό με πολλές επιλογές και προϊόντα ποιοτικά
Το μόνο μειονέκτημα ήταν το μέγεθος του δωματίου που ήταν λίγο μικρό
