This is such a lovely property. The rooms are tastefully decorated (I was in the Shepherd room) and well stocked, breakfast options are plentiful plus cocktail hour was absolutely delicious. It provided a great opportunity to converse with the other guests outside of breakfast. Sharon and Noel are the ultimate hosts — she also helped devise an earlier return shuttle for me, I was so grateful!

Son jardin et son petit dej en classe mondiale
Trop court;)!
The breakfast was excellent. Noel’s omelette absolutely delicious. The pre dinner drinks and canapés was a lovely way to socialise with the other guests, The location was perfect, within easy reach of all the delightful shops and restaurant's. Would highly recommend staying at Beaufort House
It was all wonderful. Noel and Sharon were the perfect hosts, couldn’t have done more.
Beautiful house and garden short walk away from town. Fantastic hosts made this by far our best stay in NZ. Wonderful breakfast and drinks and canapés in the garden . Cannot recommend this place enough.

If I could give 6 stars out of 5, I absolutely would. Truly genuine people and a wonderful host couple. The breakfast was exceptional, and the welcome we received was something really special. You can feel the care and authenticity in every detail — a memorable stay that I warmly recommend.
Our hosts, Noel and Sharon, assisted by Bev, were so welcoming, and the initial tour and introduction was interesting and helpful. We loved meeting the other guests over drinks and canapés. The breakfast was truly outstanding and the dining room and table setting was inspirational. I hope we'll be back!

Wonderful hosts, an entertaining stay. Well looked after, we felt like royalty. The house is beautiful and full of antiques, we felt transported to a Miss Marple set in a good way. Amazing breakfast.
Beautiful hotel with lovely hosts
Sharon is a perfect host, she and Noel are warm, friendly, efficient and approachable hosts. The bedrooms and house are very clean. A lovely homemade breakfast and tasty evening canapés. The house is set in well kept beautiful gardens, it is a 10 minute walk to the centre. Nice to meet their friend Bev.
Charming, comfortable and welcoming

A beautiful property in a great location, but the setting is secondary: what marks this out is the quality of the hosting. Sharon and Noel could not have been more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Multiple little touches and absolutely delicious food made it a memorable stay.

Fantastic hospitality. Great attention to deliver us the best experience. Unforgettable
Breakfast was exceptional and personalised. Owners could not have been more hospitable Beautiful old building. I’d give it 6* if I could
Lots of character and great hosts.
What wonderful hosts! We felt so welcomed and we loved the garden and the interior of the house. We felt like we were in an English manor. The breakfast was exceptional with Sharon fixing it one morning and Noel the second morning we were there. Loved the conversation at happy hour too!
nothing, it was perfect!
This is a charming Nineteenth Century wooden house in a pretty garden, five minutes walk to the Main Street. The hosts were solicitous and welcoming and provided drinks on the terrace and a sumptuous breakfast on beautiful china. Cute little balcony overlooking the garden.
Not a lot of room for luggage, but equipped with everything else you could want.
Beaufort House is a little piece of heaven in a stunning and quaint historical little coastal town. Sharon and Noel were the perfect hosts. The property itself is quite simply fabulous, with wonderful attention to detail at every corner. The bedrooms are beautiful and each one different. A delicious breakfast, to include an array of fresh local produce is served. An especially lovely feature, apart from breakfasting together as a group, is a drinks and canapés soirée hosted by Sharon and Noel for their guests each evening from 6 - 7/7:30pm Good lively conversation over a glass or two of wine in very pleasant company and another perfect evening begins.
I wish that I could have stayed longer!
Beautiful grounds, caring and entertaining hosts, lovely evening reception and exceptional breakfast.
Noel and Sharon are fantastic hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast in the beautiful communal dining room was amazing. Home cooked hot food and Noel’s wonderful frittata was very good. great location ideal to walk into Akaroa.
Everything was outsatnading
This is an exceptional bed and breakfast luxury experience. Our hosts were both charming, hospitable and generous
Beautiful historic homestead set in gorgeous gardens where you were welcomed as if for a weekend house-party. Drinks on the terrace at 6pm to meet fellow guests and our hosts, dinner at our leisure at any of a number of lovely local eateries followed by a truly sumptuous breakfast in the dining room with fine linens and china. Every comfort was anticipated and provided for. Highest recommendation
A charming and delightful bed & breakfast hosted by an equally charming and delightful Noel & Sharon. Beautiful property superbly located just a short walk from the centre of Akaroa. Facilities are excellent as was the breakfast!
Beautiful historical home with lovely hosts. Both Sharon and Noel were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The house was decorated really nicely. The living room and breakfast rooms downstairs were filled with interesting art, objects, furniture. The owners invite everyone for wine at 6pm which was lovely and all the guests very friendly so was interesting to hear about their travels. Bedroom was nicely furnished and decorated and the bathroom had a heated floor.
Nothing not to like!
Wonderful breakfast, lots of choice, everything you could wish for

Wonderful house, good location, great hosts and fabulous breakfast
There was nothing not to like, it was a very pleasant stay
Location was perfect. Close to Akaroa centre but far enough away in order to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and ambience of the beautiful house. Hosts were exceptionally welcoming. The evening drinks and canapés proved to be wonderful, relaxed and informal. Nice to meet other travellers. Bedroom was well equipped, very nice toiletries. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding.
Nothing …everything was superb.
Great host and great food and very very friendly service .
Great comfort rooms
Charming spacious home and the owners love meeting people. Sharon was a great source of my local recommendationas and: lively conversations. Breakfeasts could be customized by Sharon, but even just rhe usual croissants or toast with a fruit compote made for a suitable light breakfast for us..
Nothiing major. It is a couple of blocks uphill from the main roads, but you'll certainly have a car there and parking is not that difficult to find. Our room was smaller than a hotel room, but big enough, and the bathroom was fine.
Beautiful historic home. Hosts. Meeting fellow travellers.
The property is a beautiful old house and very elegant rooms.
Staying at the Beaufort House felt like staying with dear family members. Sharon and Noel took such good care of us, we felt so loved! They were always anticipating our needs and going the extra mile to make it a memorable and wonderful experience. The breakfast spread feels like you woke up and landed in a fairy tale! Make sure you try one of Noel's famous omelettes. The afternoon happy hours are filled with delicious bites and fascinating conversation. The overall ambience is magical and the experience is so much more than just a bed to sleep in. This was by farrrr our favorite accommodations in all of New Zealand!
The breakfast was excellent and custom made for us , very tasty and well presented - faultless Location was close to Akaroa town ship
nothing , just perfect
The house is absolutely stunning. Every room is so special and the amount of care that Sharon and Noel put in to the space shows! As a couple who travels a ton, this place will always be remembered. Thank you for being so welcoming and exceptional hosts. We received wonderful restaurant recommendations and ideas for things to do around town. The breakfast was mind blowing. The wine and canapés for happy hour were great and it was so much fun to get to know the other guests as well as hear more about Noel and Sharon’s life in Akaroa. You will not find a better place to stay, definitely our favorite stay in all of New Zealand!

Welcome drinks was an unexpected delight to meet other people staying in the property. The house is decorated in a wonderful antique style with loads of history behind every item. The breakfast was exceptional in a wonderful "Downton Abbey" style. The hosts were most welcoming and accommodating making our stay enjoyable , relaxing, educational, and great fun.
Sharron & Noel went that extra mile to make our holiday extra special. The historical home was set in romantic gardens - trees 160 years old - native birds. Loved sitting under the verander taking coffee with home baking. The breakfast was a dream berries, pastries and those amazing cooked breakfast. Our hosts had thought of everything to make our stay extra special.
Fresh flowers in all the rooms. Amazing breakfasts and coffee anytime we asked. The beautiful home and romantic gardens. Our hosts were attenitave and very thoughtful

Once in awhile something very special pops up and this was Beaufort house. From the very warm welcome by Sharyn to the love and attention to detail in everything Sharyn does. I would give this property a 12 if I could. The breakfast was exceptional and the property is warm and peaceful. We had a great sleep. We'll done Sharyn your love and effort shows in every detail.

a magnificent property beautifully presented and maintained. a wonderful breakfast and the concept of meeting fellow guests over sundowners and breakfast makes the experience.
there was nothing not to like however it was very hot and these older buildings do not cool easily. they did their utmost to ensure we were cool
Fabulous, beautiful place
We arrived quite late to check-in but Sharon was such a wonderful host and set out some plates and glasses for us in the beautiful drawing room so that we could enjoy our food after all shops had closed. The location is fantastic and Sharon was a wonderful host who put on an incredible breakfast spread! We liked chatting to the other guests over the breakfast table too. Finally the house was beautiful - full of lots of lovely antiques to admire. Sharon even gave us a personal demo of the gramophone! Big thank you for sharing lovely Beaufort House with us.
Sharon & Noel are consummate hosts and think of everything - we had the most wonderful experience, which was such a special treat for our Mum. The drinks and canapés in the evening, through to sublime breakfasts (the omelettes really are incredible!) and such thoughtful touches the rooms - everything was perfect. We really hope to be back!
