Greeted by THE most amazing lady, gave us the run down on the town and where to head to. We stayed in room 8 , which was lovely. If you like a really soft bed, then this room is for you. It was very clean. Every thing you could need. Beautiful little balcony overlooking a lovely stream. Just beautiful.

Large space, super clean, lovely hosts. Location is prime. And huge parking space.

Hosts are absolutely outstanding and they are so friendly and welcoming. We had a garden view room which was really pretty with a creek. Very clean room and lots of lovely touches like shampoo conditioner and body wash. Bed very comfortable and a great place to stay. We are repeat customers.

Loved it all

The location of the motel was excellent, there was plenty of parking, so we parked up and walked everywhere. We had a two-room apartment, and it was very, very clean. The heat pump had been turned on for our arrival, so the apartment was lovely and warm. The kitchen was well equipped if we wanted to cook for ourselves. We were very happy with our stay and will stay again.

Fabulous staff and location

It was all awesome

Hotel personel was lovely, she gave us a lot of information about Akaroa. The room was pre-heated, so already warm when we checked-in. Bed was super soft and comfortable, amazing sleep. Kitchen was well equiped, also the balcony with the small stream passing nearby Is cretaing a perfect location to relax and having a lovely dinner or breakfast in the room.

Прекрасный отель, чисто, уютно, а главное - очень романтичное место, балкон с видом на небольшую речку - идеальное место для утреннего кофе! Обязательно приедем снова.

The location is fantastic, the brook that runs along the back is an added bonus, especially if you like native New Zealand birds. The decor is all very modern, and the bed is super soft. I was on the ground level and it had a lovely patio overlooking the stream. The hosts, Nic, Kerry and their little black cat Giz are awesome. Fantastic service and very accommodating. Great value for money, would stay here again for sure.

Fantastic location and incredible value for money. The rooms overlook a little stream, and if you’re into native New Zealand birds, the little patio I had overlooking the brook is a great place to spot them. This was the perfect place for our four night mid-winter visit to Akaroa. It is very well located on the main street, in walking distance to restaurants and shops, but quiet and peaceful, being alongside a small stream. The modern, clean and well appointed room had everything we needed. Helpful and friendly hosts too. Five stars!

Lovely clean rooms the birdsong from the balcony was beautiful the owners were very freindly and informative would definetliy stay again.

Very well appointed with quality throughout. Easy to find and an easy walk to shops, pubs etc. great advice from the owners who suggested a trip to Okains Bay where we Saw , quite serendipitously, a seal nursery, and they were about 2m from the bridge we were on.

Bed was too soft for me! Quite subjective.

Die Unterkunft lies keine Wünsche offen. Die Küchenausstattung hatte alles was man benötigt. Unser Zimmer hatte eine kleine Terrasse ins Grüne. Schon beim Checkin erhielten wir viele tolle Tipps von der super netten Betreiberin, wie wir unsere Zeit vor Ort am besten nutzen können. Leider konnten wir nur einen Tag bleiben.

Quiet, warm and conveniently situated to the town of Akaroa. Easy walking distance to everything. I caught the bus from Christchurch to Akaroa and walked everywhere. The owners, Nic and Kelly were very kind and helpful suggesting places to visit.

The room was spacious, clean, tidy and great location walking distance to town. Love the owners, Nick was super friendly, funny, and helpful knowledge on eateries and activities in the area. We loved the extra touch with a nice toastie warm room on arrival.

(1) the location - quiet and private, with great cafes and restaurants nearby within walking distance (2) the staff was super nice and friendly (3) the room was spacious and clean, and had all the amenities we needed

Maybe just the stairs? it wasn’t an issue for us since we only stayed for 1 night and had a small luggage. Just something to keep in mind if you’re bringing a few big luggages.

Was not able to open the door and windows to the yard as there were insects flying into the room. Would be good if there are net.

The convivial owner was incredibly helpful, welcoming and delightful, the location was perfect, and the facilities were clean, roomy, comfy and had a lovely little balcony that afforded a delightful view onto a stream and local birds.

Fabulous new unit with all the necessaries plus a few extras - loved the Kiwi snacks on offer though they were for purchase. Also great that there was decent coffee too. Nic on reception was super helpful to me as well. Brilliant.

It was clean with a very comfortable bed. The garden outlook was amazing in the morning, so relaxing to view it and hear the birds from our balcony.

We had a top floor unit with a small balcony overlooking an area of bush. We were regularly entertained by numerous fantails flitting around plus a large number of Kereru, the NZ native pigeon. It was an unexpected bonus.. Our bed was super comfy and overall we were delighted with all the facilities plus the friendliness of the owners.

Warm and friendly welcome from a fun NZ couple who evidently care very much about the comfort, cleanliness and facilities of their lovely Motel. Certainly the nicest we’ve stayed in over our month of travels. Quiet and well equipped and the whole town is v walkable. Free on site parking. We were so pleased to have included Akaroa on our penultimate night pre flight home - stunning peninsular.
