TROPICA - Villas Resort

The villa was very large and spacious and the pool was directly out the door.

Despite the name, tropica Villa Resort, this is not a resort. It is a private town house. Obviously i should have done more research before booking but it is quite a distance from most places with nothing with in walking distance in terms of eating or drinking, very residential. Some taxi's had difficulty locating the place. But it is huge and clean and private

We booked this property through Booking.com thinking that the entire booking was paid for. Finding the reception( there was none) had us knocking on private doors to ask where we should go. Once we found (the lovely polite lady) it was pointed out it was not paid and they only take cash. We did not have the actual cash but was ok to pay next day. The wifi wouldn’t work so I couldn’t check to make sure I hadn’t already paid and it would cut in and out kicking you off. In the morning we had no water for showers, flushing toilets. It was at this point we decided to find an alternative. Luckily the owner/manager was ok with us paying for the one night and didn’t cause us any grief. For this we were grateful.

Spacious

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPRTY! I booked this property for our yealy family trip for 11 days. This place was the worse property I have ever stayed in. When we got, the property looked nice cause we were excited about our holidays. The first day, we have to get food for us, that's when we realized that the location was not great as you need a car to get to the main road to get food. It cost 500 bht every time to get to the main road which is just about 5 -7 minutes drive however the property is on a hill and it's very difficult to walk up. The property has a very disgusting sewage smell in all of the unsuite bathrooms, which became unbearable for my asthmatic and lung condition of my family. There was no privacy downstairs- no curtins. Everyone that went pass, can see everything we were doing. The property has no fly screen doors to minimize the mosquitos, so you are forced to close the doors all the time. There was no proper cooking utensils to cook with. There was no microwave to heat up leftover food. After all these issues, a spare old single bed was brought in to be used. The bed was full of bed bugs which bit my 11yr old boy all over. On the second day, I made a complaint of all the above to the husband and wife owners of the property to let them know. The next day, they brought a single curtin just for the entry door NOT for all the windows downstairs. Nothing was mentioned about the rest of the issues, it was completely ignored. We had to leave on the 4th day due to the health condition of my family members.There was no apology or how to rectify the issues, there was a complete silence. This is not a suitable place. I will NEVER stay there again!

Großer Pool, sehr freundliches Personal, viel Platz, bequeme Betten

Küche nicht gut ausgestattet, es könnte mehr Besteck und Geschirr geben, zudem konnte man in Kühlschrank nix lagern, alles war am nächsten Tag gefroren Muffiger Geruch in der unteren Etage trotz Lüftens Anlage insgesamt in die Jahre gekommen, Außenbereich könnte renoviert werden,wie Liegen , Bar und Poolbereich

Lovely house with wonderful warm kind housekeeper, beautiful pool and views

Everything was excellent. The villa was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Special thanks to Mr. Thomas, who was extremely kind, professional, and always willing to help. His support made our stay even more enjoyable.

The property is located on a hill, which means some uphill and downhill walking. This was not an issue for us, but it might be something to consider for guests who prefer flat access or have mobility concerns.

Kai the villa manager was amazing and so welcoming, the villa was nice and clean, if we had any problem we would contact Thomas and he would get a solution fast

Staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. The villa was lovely and had a great time in the pool

WiFi didn’t work that well and it was up very steep hills so some taxis wouldn’t take you.

The maid came by every day and took such great care of us and our children. It was honestly way more than we needed but appreciated every minute of her. She was wonderful! The space was large and clean -3 floors of living space in the 3 bedroom!! It is quite the trek up into the hills. If you are confident on a scooter or plan on using a taxi during your stay, you will have no problem.

Nothing!!! Worst accommodation I have ever seen and we travelled the world and visited Thailand and Koh Samui several times staying at multiple accommodations. Also me being a hotel manager for years, I found this shocking and unacceptable! Do not book! Stay away as you will be highly disappointed like we were...

Dirty, mouldy, sooo smelly, things broken, not as advertised at all, just a disaster!!! My son woke up with rush on his face and poorly as the mould and smell were so bad. No pretty details such as rugs, cushions, bed throws, flowers anywhere in sight like online, even TV was missing. Like it was robbed! Brought me tears... On top of it owners were so rude shouting at us, made me and my 3 year old son cry. They wanted us to pay for the accommodation and threatening to call police if we don't pay cancellation fee which we did as we wanted this nightmare to be over. Then they lied to booking.com saying we left without paying so they got in touch with us as well. Just outrageous. I think it's sad that booking.com is only protecting properties and not guests in these scenarios as we work very hard all year around and paying lots of money for holiday at the other side of the world, which should be as advertised. Instead we got scammed and had to immediately look for new accommodation as soon as we got there. Rude owner kept shouting we had rain for two weeks straight so it will be everywhere like this, then he was talking to our taxi driver trying to persuade him to leave us here as we booked it, we should stay and pay. Even they were shocked and they were locals unlike the owner. Overall couldn't have been worse. Taxi drivers took us to their friends accommodation after spending only 12 hrs at this villa, getting to new place wad like a dream and we couldn't have been more happy. Everything was clean, fresh, smelled lovely and it was run by a family, the nicest people you will meet that couldn't do enough for us. Even discounted our price and gave us free breakfast. Just a true joy to stay at Chaweng Bliss Bungalows right on the beach. After 2 weeks we moved to Pattra Vill Resort which was also stunning and just perfection so just showed us again what we knew all along that Thailand is know for beautiful clean accommodation with lovely people.
