WOW. Cabot lodge was superb in every way. Bridie and Brad were perfect hosts, Rob the Chef cooked amazing 5 star food, all the remaining staff top line. The views at the property were amazing. Our room was excellent, large and the open fire a real treat. We will definitely be back for longer next time, 2 days of being spoilt was not long enough. Thanks Bridie and Brad. Cabot Lodge was extraordinary - Birdie and Brad are born hosts and make their guests feel immediately at home. The quality, luxury and attention to detail in the accommodation and meals are exceptional. This place is not to be missed if you are lucky enough to be going when they have availability. Make sure you take full advantage of your time there, using the facilities, enjoying the stunning views and walking the property. A exceptional retreat!

This place is perfect in so many ways. Host meeting you on arrival - staff appear whether you wander out of your room and ask if they can assist. Amazing service. Every member of the team was perfectly polite, engaging, and responsive. They will organise anything that you want - trips across the surrounding area. One couple had a helicopter trip and it literally landed on the lawn of the place. That is defeintly the way to end a long day! Location - stunning is the word you will probably read most about this place. And it actually is. Room - we had the room with the terrace - I would book this again - as you walk straight out from your room into a courtyard which is in the shade and sun in the afternoon. This is an all-inclusive accommodation - it has to be as it is a trek from the local towns. The food was extremely good. It was never too much or too little the chief has got the balance right. At the end of the trip I left items in the room (very annoyed with myself) the owner looked after them and made sure we got them back. Everything was amazing

A luxury stay experience at the edge of the breathtakingly beautiful New Zealand Fiordland. The Lodge sits in a stunning rural setting, with sweeping views across beautiful Lake Manapouri to the snow-capped peaks beyond. Our hosts Breidi and Brad made us feel very welcome and at home. Gourmet dinner and breakfast included in the stay were outstanding, and upon request our hosts arranged a delicious picnic for us to take on our day cruise to Doubtful Sound. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and many thoughtful details enhanced our stay. Highlights for us included an afternoon relaxing in the Library in front of a crackling fire, and chatting to other Lodge guests in the lounge over pre-dinner drinks and canapes.

This was really a close to perfect stay. One very minor issue was that a curtain across the glass door into our room would have been good, as at night the glass let in a lot of bright light from the external security lighting.

Everything was amazing. Brad and Breidi were phenomenal hosts that looked after every need we had. One of the best travel experiences ever.

We were excited about staying here but blown away by the reality. Brad and Breidi are just exceptional hosts - people who love people and love their life running Cabot Lodge, and it shows. There are stunning views from every room and all the around the property, which is a garden show all on its' own. There is everything you could ask for in a room, details I hadn't realized I'd missed until we found them here. There were fresh flowers, fruit and cookies every day, and a selection of local wines and beers in the room. Every time we arrived back at the property Brad came out to greet us and ask if there was anything we needed. Honestly, anything guests need or want has been thought about in advance, but they personalize everyone's experience anyway. We got detailed personalized advice for every day's adventures, with an additional notecard the day we left giving recommendations for our stopover in Queenstown. I had a major Amazon delivery problem with a book I'd ordered as a gift for my husband and Breidie jumped on it and had it solved in no time - then surprised me by gift wrapping the book and leaving it in our room. Lovely (and fabulous) canopies and drinks at 6, unbelievably great dinner at 7 from a Chef we thought they must have brought in from a big city. Brad's breakfasts were fabulous. Can't say enough. We already miss it --

We kept looking for a flaw. Literally couldn't find one. The attention to detail and service and our every need were exceptional.

Excellent farm stay for mind and body relaxation. It was secluded, away from any city pollution. Excellent hosts (Breidi and Bred), with amazing staff (special shout-out to Chef Diego for his culinary skills). Great view of lake Minaoupri.

What an amazing experience - one of the best stays I have had ever. So much attention to detail and the most welcoming and accommodating hosts. Dinner was delicious (I am vegan and they were very accommodating). Every moment we we were there was absolute perfection. If you are thinking about booking here stop thinking and just book, you will not regret it!

Cabot Lodge was the best place we stayed during our vacation. It's a peaceful and relaxing retreat surrounded by gorgeous views of neighboring farms. We really loved walking the grounds and getting to know the farm sheep and mini horses. + The dinner was such a treat-- beautifully prepared and so tasty. I can't wait to return during my next visit.

Our stay at Cabot Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to NZ. It is a magical, idyllic location and our hosts Brad and Breidi and their team welcomed us with kindness and thoughtfulness in their attention to detail. We would definitely go back and stay longer next time we are in NZ! We HIGHLY recommend this most amazing experience at Cabot Lodge!

To be made aware of the extras and the price of them. Got alittle surprise when we recieved our invoice at the end of our stay and how much we were charged for the glasses of wine.

Amazing stay. One of our favorite places we visited while in NZ. Everything was perfect. There is not one thing I can think of that they can improve on. We will be back again

Hard to imagine a hotel with a better view and the staff is wonderful offering very personalized service. The little details are wonderful, like creating a custom itinerary, daily goodies basket, and even a gift when checking out. Highly recommended.

Cabot Lodge is one of the finest hotels in the world. I say that as a frequent traveler to many different destinations. It's location is spectacular, overlooking Lake Manapouri in New Zealand. It is on the 2000 acre Cathedral Peaks Station that has 4500 heads of sheep, 1500 deer and 500 cattle (facts we learned touring the property with the extremely knowledgeable owner, Breidi, who with her husband, Brad, operate the lodge). Our suite was beautiful. The amenities were all luxurious. Brad's cooking is excellent (we had lamb for dinner). I can't recommend Cabot Lodge more highly. It's not only a great stay, it is also a fantastic experience. Being close to Doubtful Sound is only the icing on the cake.

Everything was truly excellent about our stay: the food, the accommodations, the service, and friendliness of the owners and staff. Through the years, we have stayed at a number of 5-star hotels. This stay was, by far, the best! I should also add that the views were truly breathtaking.

My husband and I stayed here for a night during our 2 week honeymoon in New Zealand and this was by far our favorite place we stayed! If we would have known just how awesome it was we would of definitely splurged and stayed an additional night. Breidi and Brad were fantastic hosts, from greeting us when we pulled in, making us feel at home, serving us delicious appetizers, wine, dinner, and breakfast, turn down service - everything! The property is absolutely stunning, and the farm tour was an unexpected bonus! This place blew us away. Rooms and views were outstanding, so clean and new! We really can't say enough good things about this place...it was magical. We HIGHLY recommend! If we ever return to NZ, we will most definitely be staying at the Cabot Lodge again. Stunning view and well designed rooms with practicality, comfort and style in mind. The kitchen was well stocked with fruit and beverages and the breakfasts were made to order. The canapes in the evening were a special touch. Our hosts, Breidi and Brad, were very attentive to their guests needs and were able to provide valuable information on the area and its attractions. The daily farm activities were a bonus and helped us get a handle on one of New Zealand's biggest industries. We definitely recommend staying here if you want a unique and memorable experience.
