Reviewed Aug 22, 2026I had contacted Avril prior to booking the accommodation as I was getting married the day of my check in, and had service providers coming through to get me ready for the big day. Avril provided a much earlier check in than normal and her staff aided with the many people to and fro on the day. Honestly, would run back to this beautiful location in a heartbeat.

Reviewed May 28, 2026Die Matusadona Guest Lodge ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen und bietet eine entspannte Atmosphäre mit tollem Ausblick. Besonders gut gefallen haben uns die schöne Terrasse am Zimmer sowie die angenehme Größe des Zimmers selbst. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen fantastischen Blick, den wir sehr genossen haben. Auch das Personal war jederzeit freundlich und bemüht. Etwas verwirrend war allerdings, dass am Eingang ein anderer Lodge-Name ausgeschildert war und es den Eindruck machte, als würden dort zwei unterschiedliche Unternehmen betrieben. Das war bei der Ankunft zunächst nicht ganz eindeutig. Verbesserungspotenzial gibt es vor allem bei der Ausstattung des Zimmers. Die Beleuchtung war sowohl im Wohnbereich als auch besonders im Badezimmer eher ungemütlich und teilweise unpraktisch. Außerdem hätten wir uns etwas mehr Handtücher gewünscht. Da wir während der Winterzeit dort waren, wäre auch ein kleiner Ofen oder Heizlüfter im Zimmer sehr angenehm gewesen. Das Frühstück war insgesamt eher durchschnittlich. Besonders schade fanden wir, dass kein frisches Obst angeboten wurde. Insgesamt hatten wir dennoch einen angenehmen Aufenthalt, vor allem dank der ruhigen Lage und der schönen Aussicht.
Beleuchtung im Zimmer und im Bad Zu wenig Handtücher Frühstück war sehr einfach

Reviewed Apr 22, 2026Sehr schön gelegen. Super Frühstück auf der Terrasse vor unserem Zimmer serviert. Die beiden Perlen / Engel des Hauses sind Emma und Letwin. Immer freundlich und Hilfsbereit.
An der Zufahrt von der Straße ist nicht ersichtlich das hier die Matusadona Loge ist. Somit sind wir wie viele andere beim Nachbarn gelandet, der wußte gleich Bescheid und hat uns freundlich die richtige Einfahrt gezeigt.

The name at the gate has changed it's not Mutusadona, it's Savana Skies and I continued driving because I was looking for Mutusadona, please update it for other visitors.

The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived.The manager helped us carry our bags when we checked in.The staff were attentive and incredibly helpful. The animals are so beautiful the views are so beautiful. They allowed me to set up a pinic for my birthday . Even though it was raining they made a plan for me to. The views at night are stunning . The breakfast is 10/10 . The rooms are clean and spacious. The host is so nice . So happy with the booking . Definitely coming again 💕

the only issue I had was then at staying in the Eland room the water pump at outside the back of the room kept coming on every 10 minutes or so to top up the water tank and it kept me awake. Not sure if there is a leak somewhere but i did mention it to Avril on departure. Either there is a leak or there is no one way value on the water going into the tank and its feeding back and causing the pump to keep coming on every 10 minutes. It would also have been nice to be told there was a birthday party at the pub area on booking and asked if i didnt want to move rooms as the Eland room backs onto this area. Luckily it was all over by 0.30pm but it would have been great to know before hand and given the opion to move rooms.

Reviewed Feb 10, 2025The location was easy to find. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the pool was also spotlessly clean. They have a good Wi-Fi. The staff were extremely accommodating, warm and helpful (John and Panache), they made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed. John even went as far as helping us with our luggage on our arrival and when we leave, he also opened the kitchen for us after hours to warm our food and helped us with it. He is such an amazing person. Panache prepared the pool area for us to enjoy the view have a picnic. They provided a wonderful breakfast, they created a home away from home atmosphere. Everything was lovely and exactly as it is in the pictures.
