Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Great location, the breakfast was exceptional, the hostess, Michele, was just made for that role. We very much enjoyed the sit down breakfast with as assigned seat and the setting to be able to chat with people from around the world. Michele was great to talk with.
Loved the older stately houses and old fashioned Ontario main street with two storey brick facades. An undiscovered gem of a community with an artsy, welcoming vibe
Wished I had stayed longer.
We were welcomed warmly and walked through everything from the door lock to breakfast. Our room was the smallest (my choice, as only 1 night) but it was comfortable, clean and in keeping with the age of the property. The property as whole is beautiful and so respectful of it's history, which I loved! A communal area for coffee and snack is provided. The location is great and we easily navigated to the river front, restaurants and bars on foot (some recommended by host Michelle herself) and even our late night arrival back after a couple of beers wasn't an issue. Breakfast was a new but great experience - Guests choose an 8:30 or 9:30 seating with a pre-selected choice of juices, coffees and whole food conscious meal, catered for your specific dietary needs. The 8:30 seating all sat together round a perfectly laid crystal and porcelain table where we chatted and listened to what brought each of us to Gananoque from as far as Taiwan, Belgium and the UK! Not eating with others is also an option, and Michelle is conscious of this but I would recommend the experience! Michelle has created a wonderful communal space... and make sure you meet Peaches the dog. Cuteness overload.
Nothing, it's a fab place
The rooms were amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too.
The location is fantastic, Michelle, our host, was delightful & a fabulous cook. Our breakfast was delicious. Our room was lovely & very comfortable & the house, the gardens, & the decor is perfect for the location. Highly recommend this propery & would definitely stay there again.
Nothing
Michele, the owner and main caretaker, is a lovely, caring, and accommodating host. She puts together a wonderful breakfast with many delightful elements in a classic dining room where you can get a chance to meet and chat with your fellow guests, which is something special and unique about B&Bs. If you wanted to eat later, I believe that could also be arranged. We actually stayed in two rooms due to availability. Both had very comfortable beds and were adorned with interesting antiques. Parking outside was easy on the one way street and the house is in a beautiful historic neighborhood, near to shops and restaurants, and about a ten minute walk from the dock for the 1000 Islands cruises. The other highlight for us was her sweet puppy, Georgia, who greeted us at breakfast each morning.
The automatic front door lock was a little finicky, but we figured it out.
Historic house full of antiques, very nice athmosphere. Excellent cooked breakfast. No on-site parking, just street parking - we were lucky to find space just in front of entrance.
The fridge was in corridor for all guest use
Very central, comfortable and spacious.
Todo perfecto
Location, street parking outside, character property.
Breakfast was good but lacking in choice. The only the choice was for tea or coffee and fruit juice flavour. Actual breakfast….there was no choice. 🙁
Truly a fantastic BnB. Purchased to use as an antique store, means that when you steep through the door, you step back to the opulence of eighteen hundreds. We were met at the door by Michele, who took time to discover our breakfast preferences. She was incredibly helpful during our stay. The overall experience far exceeded our expectations. We'll stay there again.
nothing that I can think of.
Lovely home and location. Michelle was very attentive and provided an excellent breakfast and information. Would definitely go back.
Unser Zimmer war etwas zu klein
A beautiful old house and our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a feast! Easy to walk to anywhere you want in town. Very friendly and highly recommended. Free street parking is a nice bonus.
niks
Charming home filled with gorgeous antiques and a cozy , warm, feel ❤️ Our Host Michelle was lovely and we felt pampered and spoiled with her delicious and elegant breakfasts and all our needs met 😍
All was fantastic !
Absolument rien. Tout est parfait.
Perfect nothing Nothing
It was perfect
Michelle and her team welcomed and treated us so warmly during our entire stay. Our room was rich on history, beautiful and well cared for!
Wonderful breakfast! Hostess was excellent.
The building is in a beautifully treed neighbourhood and has a lovely porch but needs a little sprucing up.
Lovely experience all around. Delightful host and excellent breakfast.
Not a thing.
Beautiful home!
There were flies.
Gar nichts. Ich verstehe keine Bewertung unter 10 Sternen.
Beautiful, spacious room. We stayed in Bulloch Suite. Beautifully decorated. Plenty of windows. Nice mirrors. Private balcony. Michelle is a wonderful host. The breakfast is very good, beautiful table setting and Michelle made best oats and hot breakfast. Parking is easy. Close to town and waterfront. Easy walk to Thousand Island cruise port.
It is not the fault of B&B but the building is old so we can hear a lot of noises from other rooms ( foot steps).
Beautiful, well kept B&B
Very friendly owners
Excellent breakfast
Wonderful central location. We had a very comfortable night and an extraordinary breakfast. The 1880’s-built home is in the process of renovation (the frame of our bed was held together with a zip tie for example), and I have no doubt that as time passes, more of their projects will be completed, and they will exhibit the same good taste as the work they’ve already done.
Location, elegant furniture, breakfast
In was very professional we never seen anything like it
Iwas the breakfast so delicious 😋
The breakfast was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The host had thought of everything to make our stay pleasant.
Michelle was an awesome host! Friendly, warm and quick to respond to queries. We spent one night at her lovely historic B&B filled with all sorts of stunning antiques and treasures. The breakfast was homemade, varied and delicious! Considered touches like a small floral bouquet at each beautiful antique bone china and crystal place setting really made you feel special. While our room was tight (it used to be the nursery), it was cozy and comfortable. And just outside our door was a common sitting area with a thoughtful assortment of tea, coffee, fresh fruit and sweet treats. Location was wonderful too. Close to everything. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you, Michelle, for a lovely stay.
Room was very small and made it tricky to navigate around personal belongings. Would be helpful to have a drain stopper for both the sink and bathtub.
Location of property, History of building and unique interior finishes
Nothing really
Michele was the sweetest most welcoming host! The house was beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast in the morning takes your breath away. You can tell they love what they do. We will definitely be back!
A quaint inn filled with antiques. The host goes to extra effort to make her quests feel comfortable and at home. Breakfast was delicious and served in a beautifully set formal dining room. A truly memorable stay.
Milk for coffee in the upstairs guest area.
The Bulloch House served as the location for our anniversary this year and we cannot say enough how wonderful the stay was! Gananoque itself is a fantastic vacation spot but this bed and breakfast took the cake. From the moment we arrived we were pampered with incredible service. Thank you for having such an excellent establishment and we cannot wait to visit again!
A nice B&B with Victorian vibes. We had a good bed and plenty of space in our room. The breakfast is really excellent. Sitting on the balcony was a joy. Thank you very much, Michelle.
Delightful bed and breakfast with beautifully appointed decor, featuring well chosen antiques and comfortable furniture. Our room was large and airy with king sized canopy bed and very large screen tv. We enjoyed a full breakfast in the morning with a couple of other guests. In all, a very pleasant experience.
The breakfast was delicious
The room was cramped. The bed post obstructed the view of the TV. The room was dusty and cluttered.
Michelle is a great host. Our room was spacious and charming and the breakfast was excellent.
Interesting old home. Great breakfast and host
The Bulloch house is a beautiful, unique setting, and Michelle manages it like a pro! She managed our late arrival with grace, and served us a beautiful breakfast. A must see!
L’accueil et le professionnalisme de Michelle. Tout est millimétré bravo !!
Rien
Michelle is an amazing host and will do anything to help. Great breakfast and very friendly environment. Clean and all that good stuff as well.
Amazing B&B. Hostess always available for questions. Room was beautiful. Wonderful attention to detail. Breakfast amazing. Quick walk to town, restaurants, shops. Easy walk down to harbor to catch boat to short and long cruises of Thousand Islands. Absolutely a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
L'ambientazione e la gentilezza della host.
Beautiful furniture and spaces. Down to the last detail even the place settings for breakfast.
Beautiful building. Nice antiques great breakfast. Great hostess
The room was too small. Super small. We had no place even to open suitcase p
Soluzione molto carina a Gananoque, villetta indipendente che i proprietari hanno reso B&B. Poche camere e tutto molto curato, ospitalità eccezionale.
Breakfasts were excellent.
Could have been hoovered better in my room. Lots of long black hair on bathroom floor.
Beautiful old building full of antiques in a great location near attractions & restaurants. The owner was very welcoming & put great effort into serving breakfast. Guests eat together in formal dining room so can share stories.
Everything was good.
Love the house and the room furnishings. Beautiful area very walkable. Breakfast was amazing. Definitely worth the visit.
Hostess and breakfast were wonderful. Room and surrounding spaces were awful. Pictures do not accurately show space with chipped paint throughout, holes in floor filled with aluminum foil. Outdoor space was uninhabitable and back and side yards were not mowed in weeks or months. Bathroom floor was filthy and furniture was worn and threadbare.
Rien
Super accueil et petit déjeuner excellent.
We loved the Bulloch House B&B; Great location; Spacious rooms, all furnished with nice antique pieces; Great breakfasts; All managed by the ever gracious and helpful hostess Michelle. We really enjoyed our 5 night stay here.
Our room was comfortable, spacious and cozy. The breakfast each morning was well planned out, varied, and filling! I can't say enough positives about our three night stay.
Sehr nette Gastgeberin, hervorragendes Frühstück, sehr ruhige Lage
Eigentlich nichts
The hostess Michelle is exceptionally friendly and inviting. She made us really feel at home. The breakfast was phenomenal and served in a 'fine dining' atmosphere. Guest Lounge upstairs was equipped with snacks, bottled water and tea/coffee free of charge. Historic house with lots of old-world charm. This B&B experience was first rate.
Good location. Breakfast was good overall with a nice presentation. Host was pleasant and helpful.
Main issue was there were no bikes available as promised by booking.com. I was told the bikes were broken the week before our visit. This was a big deal for us as it was promised and we like to explore towns on bike when visiting. Breakfast was maybe a touch slight. Small smoothie, small bowl of steel oats, small fruit cup, 3 half slices of french toast and only one sausage link. Our view from our room into the back yard of the property reminded me of a junk yard
Lovely room, great big veranda, superb breakfast, friendly hostess who was very helpful.
Yard and exterior of building need upkeep work, appears they are having that done by some contractors.
This place was amazing! We stayed in the King Suite, entire 3rd floor. Ot was extremely clean and well maintained. We had everything we needed. The king bed was so comfortable! The location is fantastic, we could walk everywhere. The town is so worth a stop. Michelle’s breakfast experience is a must! Thank you so much.
It is a very old home yet kept up extremely well! If I have to pick something it would be the stairs but they were to be expected. Know you’ll be hauling your stuff up many stairs.
We were treated well and the host was great.
