Professional and friendly staff
Nothing personal, just wasn't feeling the place.
We stayed at Judy House during our Jamaica roadtrip and absolutely loved the atmosphere there. We had a beautiful colorful little cottage with a balcony, hammock and seating area, which made it feel very cozy and relaxing. Sue was an incredibly warm, open and friendly host and made us feel welcome from the very first moment. One thing we especially liked was the small kiosk on the property. Guests can help themselves on a trust basis and it offers everything needed for the stay, including food, snacks, cooking basics and most importantly cold drinks. The accommodation is located a bit above the town center, but with a rental car it was very easy to reach supermarkets, banks, restaurants and the beaches. Local taxis are also a great option. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay and had a fantastic time in Negril. We would definitely recommend Judy House to anyone looking for a relaxed and authentic Jamaica experience.
Nice and quiet. Clean rooms :)
Budjettimatkaajan paratiisi! Rento viba!
Internetyhteys hidas ja pätkivä.
The Garden setting, the outside shower, the Honesty Bar and the people working there.
Sehr schöner Garten, mein Einzelzimmer winzig (ca.4 m2), aber alles, was man braucht (Spiegel, Tisch, Stuhl, Haken, Regal...

As a nature person, I really enjoy the picturesque landscape surrounding this cottage. In the meantime, it is very close to the Negril town with either walking or taking a route taxi. It's also a bless for me to see dogs, cats, goats, and even a peacock nearby on a day basis while I was walking down hill.
Very private and Sue and the staff were very nice!
A bit far from road and beach
Amazing place in Negril. Very cozy. All the amenities you need. On a quiet street. The owner and the management are super helpful and make you feel at home

Nice garden-like surrounding.safe and quiet, very friendly staff. They made the place a little paradise.
You should arrive before 5 pm or communicate about late arrival with the friendly landlady. It is a little up the hill, not at the beach.
Alles 😍
I thought this was a fabulous little place to stay. We loved it. Felt safe and secure good communication with the hosts and beautiful gardens. Nowhere I've stayed has had a 10 and I feel this was wonderful value for money. We would recommend it to other travellers.
The place is located about 5 mins up a hill, so you can walk to various bars and restaurants. We stayed in the Judy cottage itself and it met all of our expectations with the AC, cooking area and bathroom. The rooms and cottages are all over the place so you don't feel crowded and the area itself is beautiful, filled with many plants so you also see some animals around. We were woken up by the animals strolling around our cottage and the cocks crowing which is new to us but we kind of enjoyed it. Contact with Sue, the owner, was also easy and helpful, she even organised a transfer for us. Our shower handle didn't work properly, but I am sure it will be fixed. The staff is really friendly and normally there is a person around keeping the area intact. We met a chap from England whose job it currently is. Overall it is recommended if you're looking for a chill place to stay!
The property is very private and has gorgeous gardens with fruit trees. It feels like a mini village, very safe and secluded, but just a short walk or drive into the bustling negril.
A bright outdoor light which was visible through our room window, and as the curtains are sheer we couldn’t block it.
Everything was perfect
The place was lovely, full of greenery and very pleasant to stay in. The staff was lovely and the stunning Judy really helped me and I would definitely go back.
The only problem was that my room faced the sun, so I would sometimes wake up from the heat because the fan didn't help, but other than that it was a very good stay
It’s the best hostel I’ve ever been to. The place is very cozy, and I loved the vibes. The owner is awesome. It’s walking distance from a few restaurants. I 100% recommend it.
Rustic, cosy with everything you need. A countryside like feel with the sounds of the animals around. Close to beach and other popular spots.
Nothing to not like.
Amazing place to relax. There are restaurants close and the neighborhood is quiet.
The hostel is well situated in Negril, close to many restaurants and to the sea and not too far from Seven Mile Beach or the cliffs. We rented bicycles from a shop closeby which allowed us to go around Negril easily. Sue and her team were really nice and quick to answer to our questions. The guesthouse is pretty, with many different places to chill in the garden.
There was a lot of mosquitoes in our cottage by the end of our stay so we had to sleep completely covered under the sheets. A mosquito net and an electric swatter could be a good addition to the equipment because our sprays were not enough (plus it is quite toxic to use that much).
We had a lovely stay at Judy house. Finally we met other young travellers and we cooked our first meal ourselves here. It was a pleasure chilling at the garden and we loved the honesty bar.
Important: get your mosquito repellent. Once the shower ran out of water, but thank you Sue for all the help and kindness.
It is really lovely place in Negril. It is bit long walk to centrum or 7 miles beach but location of judys house is safety. Receptionist was nice. Communication with Sue (owner) was with no problems and she also gave us some useful infos. They booked driver Rita for us for our long trip to pelican bar a blue hole. Rita is the best driver on island. I will miss my morning coffee and sunrising view.
A nice place, near of every activities: 7 miles beach, Ricks café. Jody was really hepful.
A lot of mosquitos.
This place was stunning, clean accommodation and the best team! We really enjoyed our stay there!
great host, super socialisable hostel, great surrounding, loved the outdoor shower (there are indoor showers as well)
The little board houses are nice and colorful and the kitchens are equipped. Pleasant village atmosphere and friendly staff. It is a very affordable option in a touristic town.
The room is a very narrow board house. One of the walls was a partition with no sound proof and there was a shower on the other side, you could hear everything. Seemed that the cleaning of bathrooms is up to the users. The hostel is situated on a hill, which is far from the main and not convinient at all without a car.
This is a nice little cottage, especially for 2 days. You can even buy some groceries at the desk at a reasonable price. Teddy the dog was very friendly! Self check in was easy but make sure to read the instructions! Nice quality/price ratio.
The mattress was terrible. I felt every single spring. The rooms are basically wooden cabins so it can get really hot (but fans help) and you hear every noise from outside, especially neighbor’s dogs barking all night. So don’t forget your ear plugs.
Lovely cabins with everything we could want. Beautiful garden in a lovely location a short walk from the sea. Sue was super friendly and kind...thanks for the lovely day on the beach! We couldn't have been happier and really didn't want to leave!
Nothing!
When we arrived the place wasn't even clean for us to check in we ended up checking in around 6pm
The house was connected to other rooms which meant that if someone else would have booked a room in the same house we would have been sharing living space.. which is ridiculous. There were always people in the garden that weren't staying in the house
The PRICE was what made it worth it.
It was too dark at night. The property was not well lit. If I had to go to the bathroom at night. Witch was was about 5yrd OUTSIDE my room. It was really creepy and unsafe. Security was not noticeable or easy to find. The wifi was HORRIBLE! The appliances didn't work.
Love Judy Cottage at Judy House Cottages, good wee kitchen....good size room ....very chilled and relaxing. Honesty Supply store which is perfect....i loved the location as I love to walk ....met lots of friendly people everyday....make sure you take yourself to Rasta Ade Vegan beach Bar and Restaurants on 7 Miles Beach .... beautiful spot .
If you do not like the chickens cockadoodledool and being surrendered by nature then pity but thats what's great about Judy House.....take note make sure you have mosquito spray to spray your room at night.....it's normal...I live in the tropics so I was prepared.
Even tho there was A/C they should have mosquito nets. Hard to sleep getting bitten .
The host Sue was prompt in replying to my messages and arranged for my transport from Negril to the cottage in a short space of time. She was also willing to help me with a package delivery.
Perhaps that the room is quite small but I was only there was two nights so managed totally fine.
the cottages was very lovely and well furnished, there is everything you need I also got the room with AC which is very comfortable . The location was perfect, in a quiet part but very close from the beach of Negril by car. Martel was very lovely ! And Ruth the owner who was not there always available for answering my questions .
There nothing I did not like
Very nice place with friendly and helpful staff
Everything was perfect
Love the place didn't get enough time to enjoy it tho.
Wonderful place to relax, very kind Houskeeper and Security Martel cooked for us, it was delicious! We enjoyed our time there a lot and will come back soon for sure! Thank you for everything ❤️
* Location is decent. If coming by bus (Knutsford express stop is near Beaches resort) - take 2 route taxis - one to Negril traffic roundabout, the other to the hostel. If the second is not available, you have to walk 2 Km.
* LOTS of mosquitoes. Either bring lots of bug spray or prepare to be extremely uncomfortable.
I like that there is a lot of space on the grounds to have some quiet time if you preferred or if you wanted to interact with other guests, that was an option too. It was a short walk to a restaurant for breakfast or coffee, but the option was there to cook your own meals and prepare your own coffee. There is an on-site canteen where you could make purchases at a very good rate, for example, beer there’s coffee, snacks, simple foods. This place also had good recommendations for food and bike rental etc.
There’s nothing I can say that I didn’t really like. It’s exactly what I expected for Jamaica. My expectations, we’re not high as I am an experience traveler, but it did exceed my expectations from my experience in different parts of the world. Oh, there’s one thing that maybe would help other travelers. The accommodations suggest and arrange a ride from the airport as an option thru their connection, which is quite expensive being $60, for a one-way trip from Montego Bay. All I suggest is do your research because you could find your own shuttle via a private shuttle or the bus lines which run quite often for a third of the price.
Location and price was ideal for younger people looking for a fun getaway. Open bar was also a huge plus for early breakfasts or late night cravings.
Great location. Super cute cottages nestled in the forest. Short walk to quiet local beach, easy access to 7 mile beach and bars etc
Super conveniently located and priced great!
The perfect place to unwind from the busy day to day life! Truly a relaxing place, the hosts were friendly and helpful. Bonus points for Sausage, the dog who lives on site - the cutest 😻
Everything was great Sue Made the best Cake and the place was great
how close it was to everything
Good vibes nice people great nature
Bit noisy at night
Its a great place surrounded by nature
Everything was fine!
Everything
Mosquitoes
The cottage was so cute, Loved the hammock on the porch and the vibe of the whole area.
the location and the staff were great. staff made sure we were and that we had all we needed when it was great. And the GREAT CAKE MS. SUE made lemon and chocolate was the best she makes sure you have all you need.
the storm knocking the power out. and the roosters next door
Beautiful atmosphere in a normally very touristic area. It’s like an own space where you can work, relax, hang out etc. Even it’s a Hostel, you get your own space, otherwise you are easily find people to hang out with. The personal is very friendly:)
It was like staying in a garden. Very nice. 😀
A little out of the main town
