Mackenzie Motels

Great friendly hosts. Spotless modern unit that was cosy and warm.

There was nothing you wouldn't like.

Great place to stay. Loved it. Definitely staying there again in the future 😀😀.

Nothing.

Fantastic place, clean, tidy, quiet, and the pub has good vibe and meals

nothing to dislike !

very clean

Friendly helpful staff, clean, warm .

Great experience all round

Wonderful motel, in superb location in Fairlie. Close to shops and local businesses.

Nothing, it was a great place, location and value.

Good location . Clean and warm. Well equipped

Would prefer to not wash dishes in bathroom

Nicely renovated and modern

Everything was nice! The apartment was quite spacious, a very comfortable bed and a lovely backyard too! Equipped with cutlery, toaster and a microwave in case you want to make a quick bite. The Bathroom was also very good. All in all I would stay here again.

The internet connection could have been better but we were already advised about this.

Lovely extra touches, like chocolates on the beds and toys for the kids. Very generous breakfast too!

Very clean, very comfortable, great for a one night stay.

Warm, very comfortable, great shower and exceptionally well presented. The extra little touches show the owners really care.

Great spot for stop over on way to Qtown.

Good communication and easy access

Facilities where adequate but basic

Extremely clean and exceptional

I didn't rate the staff at check in as it was all self check in,everything was well organizedand instructionseasy to follow, staff on check out were friendly .

The rooms were very tidy and clean. Good amount of amenities provided. Location is very convenient to visit lake Tekapo and nearby ski areas.

Heating was 11 out of 10

All the little touches made the arrival and stay very comfortable. You could tell they really care that you have a great experience with their accommodation.

Nothing, it was all great

Well kitted out

Very slippery deck as was wood and frozen. Could have done with handrail and grippier surface on the deck which was the only way into the accomodation. Could only lock the accomodation using the outside grill at the recommendation of the provider. Provider did not have a spare key to the grill so could not service the accomodation but offered to do this the following morning.

Last minute booking for a weekend skiing and we were delighted on arrival. Exceeded expectations! Warm, unit was very clean, comfy beds. Loved the little touches on the beds and the amenities provided. Appreciated the toys and games for the kids. Walking distance to Main Street of the town. Great showers. Easy parking right outside unit. We will definitely be back!

Great location

I was travelling with my elderly mum and whilst we didn’t mind sharing a bed, the lighting in the room was very poor. There was not sufficient light to read a book or make a tea/coffee without using the light from my phone. I also think that there should be an electric blanket on the bed as I had to keep the heatpump going over night.

Friendly. Welcoming. Spotless. Well proportioned. Everything needed for a couple of days stay for us. Carpark. Location is superb. Overall brilliant

Loved it all

Immaculate with personal touches. We had a very comfortable stay.

Clean, warm and great communication.

Frosty morning? 😂

Cleanliness of the place. Unit 4's toilet and showers were spanky clean. Location was near to takeaways, cafe, Four square and the local pub.

The room was a bit small for a family of four. I appreciate the table and chairs on the deck but on a chilly winter night, having a meal outside isn't too ideal. I'd suggest putting a insect mesh on the bathroom window so that guest could open the window at night and not have all the bugs fly in and mess up the clean white ceiling and walls.

Location

To small especially when there were 3 of us. The facilities for tea make are extremely small with absolutely no room. The bed for our child was a thin mattress on a divan. I dont think the room was big enough for 3.

Cosy, lovely electric fire heater AND heat pump, comfortable and had everything we need - even games, books, snuggly blankets, spare towels. Nice bathroom, private courtyard was a bonus.

Nothing

I had a wonderful stay at this Motel

How it catered so well for families

A coffee plunger and cheese grater would of been great.

Very proactive staff that looked after all the needs in this beautiful town. Very spacious property. Our kids loved the place.

Comfy and cosy Clean and close to shops

Nothing

wonderful

Absolutely fantastic motel. We booked a room for 4 adults and got upgraded to an apartment which was amazing. Check in was simple. The room was very modern, clean and very well equipped. The way they present the room with a little chocolate and the folded flannel and towels is very nice and just shows they genuinely want their guests to enjoy their stay. Next time I am down this way I will certainly revisit. Thank you 😊

Nothing, it was excellent.

Very clean and tidy spacious unit which was well stocked and in a great location.

The second bedroom was a little cold; the heater was not to the task. However, we were warm enough with the door open and the reverse cycle AC on in the other room.

Spacious room

When we arrived, we found out that our room had been given away, so we were moved to a different room instead. While the replacement room was spacious, it was very cold and didn't have any towels. The staff did provide a small refund to compensate for the missing towels, which we appreciated, but it didn't make up for the overall experience. Between losing our booked room and the lack of basic amenities, the stay fell well below expectations. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location and good facilities

Comfort, close to town. Cleanliness. Quiet.

All good 👍

Great location, easy check in, so clean and comfy!!! Great covered and uncovered parking, excellent communication!!!

Everything is good!

We felt very welcomed with the cosy room made up nicely.

Was a little too cold at night.

Would stay again, if I go back to Fairlie. clean, fantastic lady staff, nice cosy room, I would recommend

Probably just location, it's down side street off main Fairlie road, obviously no view, but 1min walk to town centre which is good 👍

Stay was so easy. The room was warm and inviting on a cold winters night. Bed very comfortable, and everything we needed was in the unit. Very handy for the bakery in the morning. Would have liked to stay longer

cheap, close to pub

Excellent and clean it was a very nice stay here would definitely recommend.

Our family apartment was very spacious with a large deck outside. Lots of nice touches including complimentary fresh fruit, juice and breakfast items as well as board games. The shower had decent water pressure and the bathroom amenities were of a nice quality. Good value for money. There was also a washing machine, which came in very handy.

The room is a little outdated but for the price, we would definitely stay here again.

This little property was absolutely amazing. The small details that made it so comfy and inviting! From the books and board games to the selection of heating, the welcome note to the well at out space everything has been thought about. Each unit has its own fenced yard and deck to hang on and was plenty of room for our 10 month old to crawl around. Could not fault the place one bit and we will be back!

That I couldn’t stay longer!

it was really well equipped and well thought out i felt very comfortable staying there. super clean and modern facilities.

locks need to be more secure, was unsure how to lock it from the outside

Staff was nice. Check-in instruction is very clear sent by email. Facilities were bit old but very clean and they've done their best they can for customers. Very happy experience!

Beautifully presented rooms with lovely bedding and very nice and clean

The unit was nice and comfortable and bigger than we thought. The kids toys were a nice touch and it was very clean.

Nicely decorated. Tidy & clean. Close to town. Breakfast food & juice was super appreciated

Was a frosty night so felt the cold of the containers

Super clean and very well-appointed

Great pre-arrival communication. Beautifully presented room warm when I arrived.

Amazing little unit with absolutely everything you need supplied and lots of kind, thoughtful extras too. Clear instructions on everything and probably the cleanest place I've stayed at. Close enough to walk to the pub and cafes but tucked back from the road and quiet. Great stay.

It was cleaner and tidier than I expected, fully equipped, had a great backyard, same as the picture, and was located very close to the famous Fairlie Bakehouse

Nothing

The facilities were amazing .. well appointed all that you need and more in a motel

Nice quiet location and comfortable.

Didn't meet any of the staff. Shower needs some form of extraction.
