Great place to stay in a good location, right next to our bus we needed to get to Ha Giang. The place is clean and comfortable - great value for money.

De locatie is top, alles in de buurt en de airport bus stopt op 5 min. lopen. De bedden zijn prima, met een lampje, stopcontact en gordijn. Kluisje onder bed ook handig. Prima wifi, de hele dag airco op de kamer, gratis handdoek en de douche is warm. Misschien dat ik er nog eens heen zou gaan als ik een snelle goedkope plek nodig heb, maar het is zeker niet perfect.

Slecht onderhouden en kan schoner. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte bij de receptie is niet uitnodigend. Bij ontvangst werd me niets verteld, ook om de wifi moest ik vragen. De vrouw bij de receptie was vriendelijk en begroette je altijd, het mannelijk personeel leek het allemaal niet zoveel te schelen. Het is een goedkope optie en voor een nachtje is het prima maar verwacht geen hostelvibes. Jammer, want de plek heeft wel potentie.

I love the location of this hostel. It's near the airport bus stop and also the bus stop for Giap Bat bus station. Even though it's in the Old Quarter there are lots of good, cheap local places to eat. You also get breakfast in the hostel each morning. Staff are very friendly and helpful here. Beds are comfortable with good storage room for luggage. You can also store larger items in a secure room next to the reception.

As a solo female traveler, safety and cleanliness are my top priorities. The privacy curtains on the bunks gave me total peace of mind, the lockers are sturdy, and the staff are super protective and helpful. The bathrooms were unbelievably clean too!

The highlight for me was definitely the bathroom situation—scrupulously clean, dry, and well-maintained throughout the entire stay, which is rare for budget accommodations. I spent my days walking everywhere since the location is ideal; everything from street food spots to historical sites is within a quick stroll. Returning to the hostel in the evenings was a dream because the vibe is calm, chilled, and perfect for resting after miles of sightseeing. The bar downstairs serves great drinks without being loud or rowdy. If you’re hesitant about budget stays in Vietnam, this place will completely change your mind.

Super espace salon et bar pour boire une bière fraîche et rencontrer d'autres voyageurs ! L'ambiance est hyper détendue, ce n'est pas une auberge de jeunesse festive et chaotique, donc on y passe une excellente nuit de sommeil.

Accidentally locked my locker key inside my bunk at 2 AM. I went down to the desk feeling terrible, but the night staff was super sweet, smiled, and helped me unlock it in under a minute without any fuss. On top of that, the rooms are quiet, aircon works great, and the bathrooms are spotless.

We arrived in Hanoi late at night after a brutal 14-hour bus ride from Sapa, completely exhausted and carrying heavy backpacks. Walking down Hang Tre street, the warm lights of Hanoi High Five Hostel felt like a total oasis. The front desk staff immediately greeted us with cold water and checked us in within two minutes, which was a lifesaver. Our room was surprisingly quiet despite being in the Old Quarter, allowing us to get the best sleep we had in weeks. The bed was ultra-soft, and having our own private curtain in the dorm meant we could unwind without disturbing anyone. The next morning, we woke up to an amazing local breakfast spread right downstairs—the pho broth was incredibly rich and authentic! Plus, it took us literally 5 minutes to walk over to Hoan Kiem Lake and catch the Thang Long Water Puppet show. When we realized we had left our power bank in the lobby after checking out, the staff actually ran down the block to hand it back to us. Unbelievable hospitality, unbeatable price, and genuine warmth.

The dorm room itself was simple but comfortable. My bed had a curtain, a good mattress and enough privacy to relax. The bathroom was much cleaner than I expected from a budget hostel. The atmosphere was also quiet, which was perfect after a full day in the busy streets. Breakfast the next morning included several local options. I appreciated being able to try something Vietnamese before heading out again. This was not a luxury stay, but it was exactly what I needed: affordable, welcoming, central and comfortable. I would gladly return on another trip to Hanoi.

I found the accommodation to be clean, convenient and reasonably priced. The staff were polite and efficient, while the room provided all the basic facilities required for a comfortable stay.

Despite being in a busy area, the hostel felt calm at night. I slept well every evening after long days of sightseeing. The mattress was comfortable and the privacy curtain helped a lot.

I accidentally left my water bottle in the common area and only noticed the next morning. The staff had kept it safely at reception for me. A very small thing, but it showed how attentive and trustworthy the team was.

When I finally reached Hanoi High Five Hostel, the staff welcomed me warmly and helped me check in quickly. They showed me where I could leave my luggage, connected me to the Wi-Fi and gave me a few useful suggestions for places to visit nearby. Since the hostel is so centrally located, I was able to walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in only a few minutes and later attend a performance at the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre without needing a taxi.

I could walk around the Old Quarter, reach Hoan Kiem Lake in minutes, come back exhausted, close my privacy curtain, turn on the A/C and sleep on a surprisingly comfortable mattress… absolute happiness!!! Also, the bathroom was seriously clean, not just “hostel clean,” but ACTUALLY clean. The staff were cheerful, fast and ready to help whenever I had a question. Positive points: • Central location with convenient access to major attractions • Approximately five minutes on foot to Hoan Kiem Lake • Clean sleeping area and very clean bathroom • Privacy curtains for each bed • Reliable Wi-Fi and effective air conditioning • Quiet environment at night The hostel is not luxurious, but it provides everything most budget travellers actually need. Based on location, cleanliness and price, the value for money is excellent.

Proche du dépôt des bus donc pratique pour nous qui arrivions de Phong nha. Nous sommes arrivés a 4h30 sans problème (on avait prévenu avant pour pouvoir check-in tard) et avons pu aller dormir. Ok pour une nuit, literie confortable et plutôt propre, dortoir calme

Dortoir de 12 ou 14 places. C'est beaucoup trop. Il peut y avoir plusieurs arrivées dans la nuit ce qui nous reveille à chaque fois puisque la lumière est constamment allumée et que les guests déposent leurs affaires (ce qui est normal).

sehr gute Lage mitten in der Altstadt man kommt überall schnell hin man kann auch spät nachts einchecken Das Frühstück ist auch okay und wird frisch zubereitet. Das Bad war eigentlich ganz gut und hatte gute duschen. Es gab allerdings kein warmes Wasser

die Betten haben sehr stark gequietscht. Wenn sich jemand über einem oder unter einem bewegt hat, hat es sehr gewackelt und man muss halt viele Treppen hoch laufen. Der Kaffee war nicht so geil haha und es gab keinen wirklich guten Aufenthaltsraum aber das ist auf so einer enge in Hanoi. Vielleicht auch nicht wirklich möglich
