Les propriétaires sont très accueilants et gentils. Le petit déjeuner et le dinner sont d'un excellent rapport qualité prix et copieux. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Ils vous aideront à réserver vos transports et organiser vos visites.

Es war wunderschön mit ganz lieben Gasteltern. Ich wurde bestens bekocht. Die Frau hat sich solche Mühe gegeben. Der Betreiber hat immer geholfen, tolle Tipps gegeben, Fahrräder zur Verfügung gestellt und eine Jeep Safari spontan organisiert. Ich wurde herzlichst aufgenommen. Es war wie ein Zuhause. Ganz lieben Dank für alles

Die Gastgeber waren einmalig! So herzlich und freundlich! Abends wurde für uns frisch gekocht. Man konnte sich Fahrräder für die Radtour durch die Ruinen mieten. Eine private Jeepsafari in den Hurulu Eco Park wurde auch extra zu einem guten Preis organisiert. Man sollte sich wirklich 3 Tage dafür Zeit nehmen.

The home stay is located near to the ancient temple, and the city as well. Polonnaruwa is a really great place. The family, and the people in the city are really friendly. If you order a breakfast, or dinner, they give you a lot of delicious food. Thank you!

Czystość w takich miejscach to nasze jedyne oczekiwanie, zupełnie nie zależy nam na jakiś udogodnieniach, chcemy się tylko wyspać i ruszać dalej, a w tym miejscu zdecydowanie tego zabrakło. Śmierdzące poduszki, pajęczyny na suficie w obu pomieszczeniach, wątpliwej czystości ręczniki oraz nieprzyjemny zapach z pościeli sugerujący, że była już używana przez naszych poprzedników, brudna toaleta. Nie rozumiem skąd te oceny, bo to głównie one nas zachęciły do tego miejsca. Śniadanie było smaczne.

Boven op de prijs kwamen nog extra kosten voor airco gebruik. In eerste instantie leek het een mooie prijs voor de kamer. De eindrekening kwam een stuk duurder uit nadat ontbijt en airco erbij kwamen.

Heel vriendelijke eigenaars die ons overal bij hielpen. Leuk om vandaar naar de oude stad te fietsen.

De kamer en badkamer zijn niet zo groot. Maar wij vonden het prima.

Accueilli par Shantha et Chandani avec tant de soin. Dîner et petit déjeuner de rêve. La maison est magnifique, l'emplacement idéal, je ne voulais plus partir.

Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, ebenso sein Sohn, der von Colombo aus telefonisch immer erreichbar war. Gastgeber hat uns ein Fahrrad zur Verfügung gestellt um die antiken Plätze gut erreichen zu können. Gutes Essen!

The host and his family were extremely kind, informative and helpful. I have never been treated so well! They offer bicycle rides, taxi services, daily homecooked meals (which are the most delicious Sri Lankan meals you’ll have). You will not want for anything here.

The landlord was very friendly. We could rent from him the bicycles which are essentially to go around the city. 15 minutes bicycling from the ancient city of Polonarruwa. The house is beautiful with a lot of green, trees and flowers. And you can walk in 5 minutes to a beautiful river and lake. The dinner we had in the house was amazing, one of the best in the country. Even the breakfast was really reach. Harry up while having it because monkeys wake up in the morning and would love to partecipate to the breakfast 🤣 but don’t worry the landlord will help you in case and anyway they are very peaceful

Host was great and gave very useful help and advice for organising activities in local area. Room was very comfortable and good sized. Mosquito net provision was a real plus! Food was excellent with dinner & breakfast provided which was authentic Sri Lankan, also options rotated at each meal by the host. The location is slightly out of the main town, which was great for local nature spotting

Mosquitos & humidity - but these are more specific to polonnaruwa and not the property. Somebody travelling to this bit of Sri Lanka must be expecting these things etc. Air conditioning is available at the property if needed of course.

Nice home in a quiet street a short distance from the city center. It's a short bike ride along a nice lakeside road to the ancient city. The food was very good and the portions larger than you can expect to eat - I had to skip lunch to be able to eat everything at dinner. Very friendly family. Hot water.

Very very nice homestay. The place is peaceful, the host and his mom are very nice, very helpful and propose very good food! Not so much good food around so I really recommend to take the meal at the homestay

I felt home. It’s really value for money - especially for the family who runs it. Shanta and his wife did their best to make me feel welcome and taken care of - they are so kind and friendly. I also had dinner here and it was homemade and delicious. The room is simple but you have the basic conditions you need. The location is also good - even though it’s a bit far from the ruins, the way to it is by the lake, which makes up for it! Thank you very much!

Wifi did not really work in the room.

The family is lovely and helpful. The young boy was my favourite, we spent lot of time together and he is also an excellent driver. The lady is always smiling and great cook and the dad very helpful. I had a great stay and price was very good too. Very close to the lake and temple area.

One of the rooms has a toilet facing the wall, however they are planning to restructure the bathroom soon

Shanta and his wife are very kind and eager to help. I arrived and quickly wanted to get out on a bike and Shanta had it ready for me in no time. Dinner was delicious and the bed is comfy. the location is perfect for being around the lake and reservoir which is idyllic, and for getting to the ancient city sites. I recommend staying here.

I would highlight the kindness of the family in providing the best service. always concerned that I do not lack anything. The meals were very complete, on the balcony of the house feeling nature very close. And important for me: have hot water in the shower. I also rented a bicycle to see all the ruins. a good place to choose in Polonnaruwa.

The host was extremely nice and helpful. House is close to the lake where you can have a ride with bicycle to Polonnaruwa ruins. So it is an extra attraction!

For the money I paid, the place was good. There was hot water, and the room was clean. Parking was available for my vehicle on the premises. However, parking is available only for one vehicle on the premises according to my observation.

The room had an air conditioner, but the remote was not available to use; instead, there was a fan, and I used the fan. I arrived in the night at around 9:00 pm I did not feel he welcomed me warmly because he interrogated me as to why I came to Polonnaruwa, and what I was doing, and ended up saying that he normally gives his place only for foreigners. Which gave me the feeling that he did not have a choice since I booked the place via booking.com.

There was not much to enjoy.

Unfriendly, stubborn host. Keylock was not working, blockage in the toilet and sink, internet did not work. Shower head was broken. Human hair on the matrass. The lock inside was not working. Fungus on the wall. Dirty place. For a vacation No Go.

Friendly family, they speak good english, so communication was good. They provided us with bikes (Rs.1000) and the dinner they cooked for us was amazing (Rs.1500).

Tipical sri lankan room, basic, it can get humid, therefor you cannot avoid the smell. Apart from that all good.

We had been warm welcomed. The bedroom is confortable and the food is very good. We appreciated the bike rental to visit the archaeological site of Polonnaruwa. Last but not least, there is a lake at walking distance where you can enjoy a beautiful view.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the house itself is on a great location. I rented a bike from the owner and it was a great way how to move around the city. I also had a dinner and it was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Homestay is very good with nice, smiling and caring owners. You can order delicious breakfast and dinner, add air condition, rent a bikes or car - everything what you need. The place is in quiet area.

The room was comfortable and I slept very well. It is easy to visit the ancient town from here. The homestay owner is really accommodating and made me feel really welcome and cared for. The food was amazing and portions were generous.

perfect location! ride to the ancient city is absolutely gorgeous and you can use the bicycle they have. hosts were super friendly, helpful and showed me around. really would recommend this place. breakfast was tasty and a lot. they even made me a lunch package.

It's a very nice homestay, and the house and garden are so beautiful. The room is comfortable and big and has a mosquito net. You can get AC for an extra fee but the fan is so powerful it's not necessary. The food they offer is delicious and comes in huge quantity, for a very reasonable price. They start serving breakfast at 6:30 which is perfect since the ancient city opens at 7am and is super close by bike. They also drove me to the bus station when I left for a very reasonable price. Ca, totally recommend.

Beautiful, spacious room with AC available for a small additional cost which was very welcome in the humidity! Lovely host family who arranged us transportation from our previous location and dropped us at the bus stop too for our onward journey. We explored the ruins on bicycles you can rent from the property and we had delicious dinner and breakfast. Would 10/10 stay here again.

Kind family, super helpful host. Tasty dinner for a good price. Good local breakfast. Nice lake with a beautiful sunset view in 10 min walks. The host helped us with everything, transfer around to see the sights, transfer to the bus station, asked how we can go to Ella by public transfer. Thanks for it!

Love the service, location and the competitive pricing. There are cheaper ones out there for sure but the service here is excellent. Though you may not need the mosquito net provided, I used it and felt comfortable. There’s no AC but I didn’t need it as the temp was cool at night. I would book it again for sure.

AC is extra Rs1500, which they put it in the room description not in the room title like other hotels. The outlet in our room had sparkle when you plug in, and… it was not working. They somehow got my what’s app account and offered me extra service everyday which annoyed. The water was not hot, only warm water, which we had to re-start the heater many times.

Lovely room located in a lovely property! Very clean and comfortable. A/C available at an additional cost but we didn’t need it as the area was cool enough and the fan in the room was more than enough. Out host cooked up a delicious dinner and breakfast, sorted us some bicycles for cycling around the ancient city. He arranged for us a fantastic guide to take us around Polonnaruwa and we learned so much. I would highly recommend staying here.
