Voordat ik aankwam had ik gereserveerd. 3 uur helemaal daar naartoe gereden deden twee jongens die daar werkten de deur open en vertelde ze aan mijn taxi chauffeur dat het hotel permanent is gesloten. Ik vroeg zelf ook dingen en ze gingen “engels” tegen mijn chauffeur praten inplaats van mij. NIET GAAN! Want je gaat voor Niks. Ik moest daarna nog helemaal een andere hotel reserveren met hoger kosten omdat het last minute was.

Das Haus erinnert an eine wunderbare alte Villa. Die Einrichtung ist wunderschön. Das Personal sehr freundlich! Ein ganz besonderer Ort am Rande einer Stadt, die im inneren doch sehr laut und hektisch ist. Trotzdem ganz nah und zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr schön!

Beautiful hotel situated uphill away from the hussle and bussle of Kandy. Hi-spec rooms, comfy bed and working smart TV. Fantastic WiFi. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Large pool which get a good amount of sun in the day.

As beautiful as the hotel was it could have been cleaner.

Manager was v accomadative. Are rooms were allocated in 3 different locations, we.were with young girls, but he managed to sort out rooms next to each other.

The door to our room had dropped and scraped along the floor making a terrible noise.

The property was very beautiful, clean,good location and staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the manager kind and helpful in every thing.we had breakfast both English & srilanka was delicious 😋...I recommend to stay there if you're planning to stay in kandy.

Hôtel très confortable avec une piscine dont les enfants ont bien profité le soir. Personnel très attentionné et discret. L’hôtel est bien pensé, les chambres sont dispatchées par petits paliers.

This hotel was NOT clean… the bathroom needs a good clean and the mugs, bedding and towels either need a good wash or replacing with new ones. The floors and windows have not been cleaned in a while either. The room was stuffy.

The location is great in the hills with the other hotels. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the room.

The swimming pool had almost no sunlight so it wasn’t very functional. Also there is a big window above the room (picture) which doesn’t feel very private + a lot of light in to the room.

The room was bright, modern and clean . The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Plentiful and beautifully cooked. The new Manager JANAKA, and his staff were so helpful, polite, fast to fulfil any request, always smiling and ready with advice of where to go, what to do. It was a real pleasure staying here. There were a couple of small hic-cups, but with Janaka in the role of Manager, and his lovely staff, I think I would happily recommend this lovely spot to any visitor. Value for money, it was pretty good.

Our room was a little noisy, being next to the dining room and kitchen. I personally would suggest this room not be used as a guest suite if you want to sleep in later than 7am.

I wish they had breakfast inclusive rates or more affordable breakfast options. Also it is a bit away from the city centre, but we had a car with us so we did not mind.

El hotel permite hacer fiestas en el bar, por lo que las paredes no están insonorizadas y se escucha todo, mas si la habitación esta al lado del bar. Tuvimos que comentar al servicio del hotel que bajaran la musica ya que no podíamos dormir, y se les tuvo que repetir dos veces..al final después de comentarlo enfadados nos hicieron caso.

A long way from the centre. The room was nice but the hotel was being updated and lacked atmosphere. Next door it owns accommodation pitched at younger people which can be noisy (in the pool at 11pm )

The rooms were well kept with comfy linen that made for a great night’s sleep. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the surroundings are especially charming at night .very peaceful and scenic.

Hotel piekielnie zaniedbany i strasznie brudny, czegoś takiego w życiu nie widziałem, wszechobecny kurz zalegający od miesięcy, wilgoć, stęchlizna i brak wentylacji, grzyb na ścianach. W hotelu pracowało wiele osób lecz nikt nic nie robił, próbowaliśmy otrzymać śniadanie na wynos bo wcześnie wyjeżdżaliśmy lecz nie było takiej opcji, nigdy za żadne pieniądze nie wróciłbym w to miejsce,

La camera molto sporca e non curata .Tende sporche dietro e sotto i letti sporco.Porta asciugamani si staccavano.In generale la struttura non è male .Ma molto sporco .

We went for the festival and on arrival hotel staff told us it had finished and nothing was on, everyone had gone home but we took a chance went out to explore and saw the festival. Glass panel above door meant room was light all night from corridor.

La struttura era molto pulita ed accogliente. Il proprietario molto disponibile, peccato aver prenotato solo 3 giorni. Consiglio! 😍

The rooms were spacious, they were good looking, had good views and the overall property was very nice.

The lack of amenities. There was no room service/cleaning of the rooms. I asked personally at the reception to clean the room, they just fixed the bed sheet and left. No fresh towels, no cleaning the floors or mopping the wet floors.

Lovely facility and very spacious and clean. It is at the top of the hill which gives you spectacular views but you will need a tuc tuc to get up and down.

There is nothing nice to say about this hotel!

When we arrive to the hotel, from the outside it looked like no one had been there for years. The building is completely rundown and even by the pool area the wood floor was decaying and nails were on show. The room smelled awful and was very dirty. The towels and bed sheets were stained black, when asked at receptionist for new towels they told us to come back later and did not apologise for the state of the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Las habitaciones deluxe tienen una bonita decoración, contando con suelo de madera, ducha con mampara y balcón.

Hay dos edificios y nos tocó en el edificio anexo, que tiene un aspecto más descuidado. La piscina es pequeña y apenas le da el sol, por encontrarse en la parte baja entre los dos edificios.

Good location in Kandy!

The pool wasn’t that nice, it looked like you can’t swim in it.

We stayed here for 1 night to visit kandy lakes. The rooms were very spacious and modern. We had 2 rooms here, 1 bathroom was great but 1 bathroom was damp and fousty we didn’t use the pool while we were here, there was a slight language barrier with the staff, we tried to order a taxi the night before we left but when we checked in the morning there was no booking made for it. It is on a steep hill so I would bare that in mind but it is a 10 minute walk to kandy lake.

The room was pretty and comfortable. The location is great, close to the lake and the tooth temple.

There is no option for food. You get breakfast only if you include it while booking the room. No other meal is available. We ordered food on Pick Me, which was delivered easily.

Breakfast was very basic, I somehow expected something more but we did receive some scrambled eggs, tea and fruit. No facilities in the room, states toiletries but wasn't sure if what was in the bottle was shampoo or shower wash. No fridge so not possible to keep milk/drinks cold. A lot of mosquitoes so would suggest either netting over the bed or leaving some insect repellent in the room. Definitely not somewhere you would sit by the pool for any length of time. Definitely not possible to walk into the town of Kandy.

Draps sales, nettoyage de la chambre pas fait malgré la demande, petit déjeuner très basique (jus, café goût à l'eau). Piscine fraiche, à l'ombre et aucun surface à l'extérieur pour se reposer.

Het personeel was heel aardig en behulpzaam. Het hotel zag er wel mooi uit. We kregen koffie en water op de kamer.

Het zwembad was heel vies, vol met dode beesten. Er was geen mogelijkheid om lekker te liggen bij het zwembad. Daarnaast was het bed hard, was het erg gehorig, de douche is niet warm en er zit schimmel in de badkamer. Daarnaast staan er twee nachtlampen, maar die kan je niet aansluiten? De kabels leken doorgeknipt.

Comfortable bed, very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation was set back, five minute drive up in the hills away from the city craze.

Hotel was super nice, the staff was very kind, nice room, supercomfy bed, clean pool, tasty breakfast and amazing view from rooftop terrace.

L'accueil et les interactions avec le personnel furent inexistants. Nous avons presque eu l'impression de déranger. La barrière de la langue est probablement en cause mais dans tous les autres endroits où nous avons séjourné au Sri Lanka, nous avons rapidement brisé la glace. Pas à Kuwera Kandy ... Les tables du petit déjeuner étaient sales et pleines de fourmis attirées par le sucre du petit déjeuner. La piscine n'était pas non plus entretenue (feuilles et poussière flottant sur l'eau).Les prestations ne sont pas du tout à la hauteur du prix payé. Je préfère arrêter là.

Es war ruhig und wir wurden freundlich empfangen.

Der Pool ist kalt. Außerdem wurden wir in der Nacht bestohlen. Uns wurde ein sicherer Parkplatz für unser Motorrad angeboten. Trotzdem wurden Teile in der Nacht entwendet.

The breakfast was excellent, Both the continental and Sri Lankan were very good and generous servings. Our room was big with a good view and very comfortable bed. The bathroom was well-set out and the water pressure was great with lots of hot water too! Unfortunately, the hotel is a little tired and run down so could be much cleaner. The pool is very disappointing as it is old, and the steps are poorly designed with no handrails to enter/exit the pool safely. We could not use the air conditioning as it was musty and mouldy and needs deep cleaning. Fortunately, there was a ceiling fan we used.

As mentioned above the hotel is in need of some TLC to lift it to its former glory and needs a good clean especially the air conditioning system which is very musty and full of mildew. I tried wearing a face mask with it running but then decided to not use it at all as I was getting sick. The ceiling fan was a very good alternative as Kandy's climate is not too hot. Please note that when we left a door open bees got into the room! We were very sorry the pool was so dangerous in design without handrails for getting in and out, and such oddly designed steps.

- staff extremely friendly and kind - property decorated nice - BOHO style - a bit far (uphill) to walk to city center, but tuktuk in PickMe is cheap - quiet at night - didn’t cost much

- sheets were stained, replacement sheets also stained and pilling (pinches a bit when sleeping) - lots of ants in the washroom, found a few in the bed

Staff were super nice and helpful. We were upgraded to a better room on arrival which was nice. Wi-fi worked well. The beds were super comfy and the area is quite quiet and calm. Great location above the chaos of the city but still very close to the city.

The pictures did not match the reality, as the place was a bit more worn than the pictures show. Also the towels and sheets were dirty, but in a was that seemed like the stains were "impossible" to remove. Probably just the local quality of the island in general.

Хорошее расположение, до города можно дойти пешком за 15 минут. Номера реновированные, стильные, есть вешалка для одежды. Большая ванная комната, есть гель-душ и шампунь и большие мягкие полотенца. Достаточно чисто.

Очень большая сырость в номере, даже тяжело дышать. Нет холодильника. Постельное белье достаточно старенькое. Очень скромный завтрак.

Nice location

Arrived after almost 18hours of travel @ 5am to a closed hotel! We had notified them by message/email twice to advise what time we would be arriving. Luckily we found an open door so at least were off the road & able to sit down. Finally given a room @ 6.30am, bedding & towels not very clean & charged on checkout for more superior room. Not impressed at all

The spacious room and the amazing staff, including the owner of the hotel, really made our stay memorable. They went above and beyond to make things easier for us, always ready to help with all our needs, no matter the time! The generosity they showed us during our stay was definitely the highlight. The first room that was assigned to us had a stained bedsheet, and my partner wanted to change it. They kindly moved us to an even bigger room without any additional charges.

That being said, I want to offer some constructive feedback to improve this otherwise amazing place! Everything was perfect except for the bathroom and the stained bedsheets. Don’t get me wrong, the room was clean, and so were the sheets, but there were some stains (probably coffee and some oily substance) on them. Even in the second room, which was given to us, the stains were present. Although it was less noticeable compared to the first room, it still gave us the impression that the sheets weren’t completely clean, which isn’t pleasant when you first enter a hotel room after a long day. We were a bit uneasy afterward. As for the bathroom, it definitely needs to be renovated as soon as possible. The window near the shower had black mold in the corners and in the middle.
