Vom Hotel ist es nur ein kurzer Weg (mit der Abkürzung) in die Stadt. Es gibt eine Klimaanlage und auch so Dinge wie einen Föhn und einen Wasserkocher. Das Frühstück war auch gut. Das Personal war freundlich. Unser Zimmer war unten, dementsprechend hatten wir keinen Blick auf den See, aber es war sehr ruhig.

Es könnte noch etwas sauberer sein.

Simpele kamer Simpele ambiance, mooi uitzicht, goed ontbijt. Verwacht geen luxe Prijs kwaliteit is zeker goed

The owners were very nice and cooperative and guide us very well. Good breakfast and all the things were fresh. I asked him for a late checkout but he refused for onward bookings but keep our luggage till evening. thanks to them.

Location was good , room was clean and property as well. Host were good human beings. They helped us and guide us for some places to visit.

Very friendly, hospitable host. The accommodation was new, well designed and comfortable with excellent facilities. Three choices of breakfast. The Sri Lankan breakfast was very good.

Very functional experience, nothing stands out.

Our 2 Lake view rooms had no view of the lake. Just looking into someone else room. Ants in one bathroom. Staff refused to accept any payment other than cash. But only mentioned this at the time of check out when ATMs were a long way away, so it frustrated our departure. Would have been more unhappy if we had booked more than 1 night.

Brilliant value accommodation in Kandy, located up on the hill with amazing views of the city below. Rooms are clean and comfortable and staff are kind and helpful. Getting into town on foot is simple and quick, with a path leading down to the lake from the property (10 minute walk). I can't imagine there is a better value for money in Kandy. Highly-recommended.

Our room was slightly small, but not an issue.

Ótima localização, a uma curta caminhada do centro, através das escadas ao lado do alojamento. O quarto era espaçoso e tivemos tudo o que precisávamos.

Ci è piaciuta molto la vista sul lago di Kandy. Abbiamo dovuto riadattare un po’ la disposizione degli elementi presenti nella stanza, ma aveva tutto il necessario. La colazione era buona. Per alloggiare una notte, è funzionale.

Abbiamo avuto difficoltà a chiudere le finestre, sia della stanza che del bagno, che è piccolo, con la doccia posizionata tra lavandino e gabinetto, il che rendo tutto poco igienico.

Bed not very comfortable, we thought we would have lake view but we didn’t, breakfast was not great. But overall, good value for money

Lekkere warme douche en fijne bedden!

Super Lage, ruhig am Berg mit schönem Blick über Kandy. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Vor allem als wir sehr spät Hunger hatten.

Très propre. Superbe vue de la terrasse. Accès aise au lac par un escalier.

Chambres pas toutes avec la même vue. Certaines un peu petites. Vigilance sur le nombre de lits vs nombre de personnes annoncées.

L'emplacement perché avec une vue magnifique depuis la terrasse tout en restant accessible à pied au centre-ville par les escaliers, très propre, super petit-déjeuner, la chambre est confortable, excellent rapport qualité-prix

Stanza accogliente con vista bellissima sul lago. Buona colazione e comodo servizio lavanderia. La posizione defilata dal caos del centro città per me è stato un valore aggiunto, il lago si raggiunge in circa 15 minuti, però bisogna considerare che il ritorno è in salita

A good view from the balcony

The room we got was in the basement not on the ground floor. So didn't get a good view from the room. The room itself was very small. Not enough space to move for 3 people. The washroom was also very small and not even a bucket was provided.

Lo staff molto gentile e disponibile a qualsiasi nostra esigenza

Fijne plek met mooi uitzicht op het meer en de tempel. Lieve mensen die al sinds 32 jaar het hotel runnen. We komen hier graag voor een vierde keer weer terug.

De kamers beneden zijn relatief klein, echter prima voor ons en de bedden liggen goed.

Location was just out of town enough not to be noisey. But close enough to walk into town. Excellent. Staff were very helpful. Rooms had everything needed.

Bij de accommodatie werkt een tuktuk chauffeur genaamd Danu. Hij heeft ons door heel Kandy gereden en tijdens alle activiteiten op ons gewacht. Daarnaast heeft hij ook fruit voor ons gekocht en deed hij er alles aan om onze behoeften tegemoet te komen. Hierdoor hebben heel veel gezien in Kandy, voor bijna geen geld. De eigenaren van de accommodatie waren ook erg attent.

Está un poco arriba del pueblo, pero en 20 minutos estás en el centro sin problema. Las vistas súper chulas de Kandy.

The view from the dining area was great a view over the town and lake, breakfast was really good and tasty plenty of food and wasn’t too expensive. The staff were really nice and friendly the room was a little dated but was clean.

It’s on a hill so it’s a little steep to walk back up but there’s plenty of Tuk Tuks if walking isn’t an option.

Struttura a 15min a piedi dal centro, situata sopra la città. Tutto molto pulito e lo staff super cordiale, specialmente il Driver Sagara che si è rilevato una piacevole scoperta: molto preparato e cordiale con una guida prudente. Ci ha accompagnati da Kandy a Nanuoya (dove abbiamo preso il treno panoramico) fermandosi nei principali punti di interesse.

Lovely view from dining room overlooking the Lake in Kandy. Good hosts, great breakfast of fruit, yogurt, scambled eggs, toast and tea/coffee. There is a shortcut by stairs down the side of the building to some restuarants closer to the lake.

A little bit away from the main area of town and any shops. The bedroom and bathroom are both quite small (the shower is not separate in bathroom) but managable for a couple of nights.

Fijne, schone, kamer, met airco. Personeel wat zeer behulpzaam is. Heerlijk ontbijt met prachtig uitzicht. Via het hotel kun je een gids regelen om met de Tuktuk alle hoogtepunten van Kandy te bezoeken. Danu is een geweldige, vriendelijke gids, zeker aan te raden.

Enige kleine minpuntje: douchekop was niet aan de muur bevestigd waardoor je hem vast moet houden, haakje hiervoor was fijn geweest.

Kahvaltısı güzeldi ama hep aynı şeyleri veriyorlar 2 gün kaldığımız için sorun olmadı. Çalışanlar çok güleryüzlüydü.

Odayı temizlememişlerdi, akşam odaya döndüğümüzde çok şaşırdık. Yatak dağınık yerler silinmemiş.. İlk defa böyle bir otelde kalıyoruz. Fotoğraflara ve yorumlara bakarak bu odayı tutmuştuk bizim için hayal kırıklığı oldu. Odayı değiştirmek istedik. Kabul etmediler. Odamız hiç güzel değildi özellikle banyomuz... Fotoğrafları yüklediğimde ne demek istediğimi anlayacaksınız.. Beğenen kişiler neyi beğendiler anlamadım.

A lovely hotel, we had 3 room, one double with balcony and lake view and two other doubles . The staff were friendly, the property was spotless, a nice homely feel and great breakfast, drinks, yoghurt & fruit, toast, scrambled eggs very nice.

One of the rooms there was no overhead shower just a spray. Due to the hills the location was further from town than we thought to walk but that is due to our lack of knowledge not the hotels issue. Tuk tuks on uber super cheap so not an issue do not let it put you off as with the hill elevation you get great views and the hotel has a nice shared area to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the lake view. So it not really a negative just to be aware. Don’t let it out you off would highly recommend. Great value .

Great view close to lake. Very clean with compfortable beds. Fantastic breakfast and very helpful host who arranged tuktuk tour and transfer to Sigiriya with great driver and guide Dahnu. Thanks for a great stay.

Good location, clean and comfy, great view.

Great hotel! The rooms are amazing, the view too, and the breakfasts are excellent! The staff is very kind, and we highly recommend the tuk-tuk/taxi driver Mishel! He is a fantastic guide who took us to incredible places and always took the time to make sure we had the best experience possible. If you have the chance to spend a day with him, do it! Thank you very much.

Es war die schönste Unterkunft unserer Sri Lanka-Reise. Die Lage ist traumhaft, wunderschöne Aussicht, sehr ruhig und trotzdem ist man in 5 min zu Fuß am See. Wir waren bereits vor 24 Jahren dort und es ist noch schöner als damals. Das Zimmer ist unglaublich toll mit seinem Blick auf den See, seiner liebevoll gestalteten Einrichtung, super sauber, alles funktioniert bestens und zusätzlich gibt es eine große Terrasse mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf den See, ideal zum Entspannen nach einem Sightseeingtag. Die Gastgeber sind heute wie damals extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit, immer da, wenn man was braucht. Und das Essen ist himmlisch. Wir bekamen jeden Abend andere Kreationen von Rice and Curry, eine kulinarisch unglaubliche Vielfalt. Sie hatten auch überaus gute Tipps und haben uns einen total netten Tuktukfahrer vermittelt, der uns ganz tolle Plätze gezeigt hat. Es gibt nichts Besseres in Kandy.

We loved this hotel. The staff were so nice and the room was clean, comfortable and had the most amazing view of town. It was fun to watch the monkeys jump around on the rooftops-but be careful! One of the little guys broke into our room because we thought we had locked the balcony door but hadn't quite latched it correctly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Personeel is super aardig. Kamer was erg fijn met airconditioning. Het uitzicht vanaf het ontbijt was prachtig. Daarnaast hebben wij fijn gebruik gemaakt van de transportservice. We zijn twee dagen op pad geweest met Danu. De eerste dag heeft hij ons allerlei hotspots in Kandy laten zien en hebben we de Ambuluwawa toren beklommen en de tweede dag heeft hij ons met allerlei leuke tussenstops gebracht naar Sigiriya (onze volgende plek). We hebben heel erg genoten!

Hébergement situé sur les hauteurs de Kandy avec vue sur le lac. Possibilité de prendre le repas du soir sur place. Bon petit déjeuner. Un escalier permet de descendre vers le lac en 10 minutes.

Super fijn verblijf in Kandy, op loopafstand van het centrum! Het hotel heeft een leuk terras waarbij je uitkijkt op Kandy Lake. De kamers zijn erg hygiënisch, en de gastheer en gastvrouw zijn super vriendelijk en enorm gastvrij. De laatste dag moesten we vroeg weg, en had de gastheer uit zichzelf een ontbijt klaargemaakt voor ons die we konden meenemen, heel lief! Wij werden warm ontvangen in dit fijne verblijf.

We really enjoyed our stay at McLeod inn. The staff were amazing, really friendly and smiley. The view is to die for! The room was a great size, air con and far worked perfectly. The bathroom was a decent size. Beds were comfy and plenty of surface space for our luggage. What made our time in Kandy was the Tuk Tuk driver dua Kumar! He was amazing, took us everywhere for a really good price. Also introduced us to Aruna, he does tours around the country. Amazing tour guide. Ask the staff at McLeod inn for their information.

The shower head didn’t have a holder, seemed to be broken. Needs fixing

La vue sur le lac depuis la chambre, le petit déjeuner très copieux, la promenade jusqu’au temple à pied, l’accueil sympathique.

Quelques petites fourmis dans le lit. Les discussions du personnel à 6h30 du matin.
