Needs quite a bit of maintenance. Doors do not work easily. Toilet seat was broken. Getting there requires going passed a garage that has an unsafe feeling about it.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026Nous avons passé une nuit en famille dans ce Guest House. Le lieu est charmant. Les chambres et salles de bains sont propres. Le personnel est accueillant et le petit déjeuner est très bon. Je recommande cet endroit.
Clim ou du moins chauffage ( car juillet c’est l’hiver en Af du Sud) un peu bruyant.

Reviewed Apr 1, 2025Although it was tricky to locate, as the entrance was in a gas station, after finding the road towards the guesthouse, everything went smoothly. The place has a great environment, and the room is cozy.
There's not much to critic about Almar Guesthouse. Easy Check-in and check-out. Maybe finding the road that leads to the guesthouse would be the only thing that tricked me, but it's not a major issue, since the billboard is visible (when there are no trucks and taxis blocking it)

the toilet door is not closing and the bathroom is not really private as it is like a walk-in bathroom. When you take a shower and the other person has to go to the toilet, the other person has to go pass the shower and there is no shower curtain. Only suitable for couples. I travelled with a client - was not ideal

Thank You Lindiwe✨🌠for Always being friendly & helpful. Rooms are tastefully decorated, clean & facilities are the Best & Super comfortable without a doubt meeting all expectations. Safe & secure. After 1 & half a day without electricity at home awaiting repairs for the area before departure Lindiwe accommodated me in a unit with an oven in order to cook food upon my arrival. Forever thankful 🤗.

They also had rusks in the kitchen and chocolates on the bed which was a lovely treat. Room and bathroom - cozy and welcoming Breakfast was delicious - yogurt, fruit, crumpets, eggs with bacon and sausages, coffee and juice

Reviewed Jan 4, 2025We were welcomed by friendly and professional staff, ever willing to assist. The room itself was lovely and gave us a ‘home away from home’ feel. The property is well located allowing easy access to the Panorama Route and the city. There is also a conveniently located garage next to the property for basic needs. On the nights where it rained far too much to go out, we could lie in and watch a good few movies through a full DSTV bouquet. Overall a place we will definitely visit again and really look forward to it. Thank you again to Almar View Guest House.

The room did not have access to network Which was very inconvenient because we couldn't reach the kids at home. It was not my fault that the confirmation did not reach me. I had to pay double because of that even though money went out of my bank account. There was no refund until now, I feel the lodge was supposed to communicate with the booking company on my behalf not me.
