Incredible palazzo. Wonderful host Matteo who was super helpful in booking a restaurant for us and recommending venues at our next destination. Amazing breakfast!
Location, exquisite. Authenticity, everything was perfect.
NA
De tudo . É um lugar onde o requinte, a atenção e carinho extrapolam todas as expectativas .
Da escada para subir para o hotel mas Matteo não nos deixa carregarmos nenhuma mala até a porta do quarto
An absolutely wonderful place in every respect. A truly special boutique hotel with the atmosphere and charm of a beautiful mid-century Italian home, where every little detail has been carefully thought through, from the bed linen to the tableware. The owner is wonderful, warm and genuinely helpful. He personally assisted us with everything we needed, including arranging a tour of Ostuni and making a restaurant reservation for us. Breakfast was also delicious, beautifully prepared and served with great care. A place with real soul, personal service and exceptional attention to detail. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences of our trip. Highly recommended!
Everything. Matteo is a perfectionist in the best possible way, and this family-run home is immaculate, from the beautiful, authentic decor to the little touches everywhere. The location is excellent, breakfast was lovely, and one evening Matteo brought us out some cheese to enjoy with our wine on the terrace. He even did our laundry at no cost for a few bits we had. Calm, kind, caring, wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for him. I hardly ever leave reviews, but we felt genuinely spoilt here. We’ve travelled a lot and this is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed.
Nothing, we can’t fault it.
My absolute highlight of my Puglia trip! A truly historic palazzo where every single detail makes you stop and admire its beauty. The owner, Matteo, knows exactly how to make his guests feel genuinely pampered with luxurious attention to even the smallest details. His kindness, hospitality, and genuine care were exceptional. Matteo also shared the fascinating history of the palazzo and gave us excellent recommendations and insights into the sights of Ostuni. If you're visiting Puglia, I highly recommend spending at least one night in Ostuni. The location is perfect, and Matteo arranged parking flawlessly, making everything completely stress-free. The bed and pillows were among the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Every room has its own unique story, which makes the stay even more special. Breakfast is served in a stunning dining room, and the palazzo also features a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. If you are looking for a truly unforgettable place to stay in Ostuni, don't miss Palazzo Stunis!

Considering the luxury, history and hospitality, the prise offers value for money. Just perfect. So beautiful and charming. Thank you. Greetings from Estonia and all the best!
Highly recommended! Matteo has restored his family home with great detail and an eye for beauty. He's added modern bathrooms and air conditioning while keeping beautiful ceiling, linens and furniture. We felt like we were guests in his home more than clients in a B&B. Breakfast was amazing - so many options, and the accoutrements enhanced our stay. The Palazzo Stunis is a short walk from the main downtown square, and we found it quiet on busy nights. It was also a great place from which to explore Ostuni. Be sure to check out the photos - words do not do justice to the rooms.
Fabulous B&B. Host is so gracious, attention given to every single detail. Ancient and modern combined in a most tasteful way. Comfortable, clean and delightful experience. And a great breakfast, too!
This is one of the best, most attentive hotels we have ever stayed in. Matteo, a third generation owner, converted his stunning family home to 5 guest rooms, modernizing while maintaining the original architecture, family heirlooms, furniture and sumptuous linens (changed daily with different sets). He is justly proud of his home and this heritage home and full of suggestions of what to do, see and eat in Ostuni. The bonus is, it is located on a residential street, so every evening returning to the hotel we were treated to everyday life in the neighbourhood. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly.
Incredible, beautiful home, and Mateo, the owner, is wonderful!
Top-notch management: We highly recommend this hotel.Attentive staff: Mateo the owner looked after us personally throughout our trip.Wonderful experience: The excellent service made our stay incredibly comfortable and welcoming.
Palazzo Stunis was our favorite place to stay. The apartment is so beautifully restored and the family room was perfect for the four of us.
Absolutely beautiful traditional property. Stunningly renovated and in a great location. The owner of the guest house spoke brilliant English and he was so kind and helpful.
Nothing at all.
My girlfriend and I had a great time with this property. We were met with ease by Mateo who helped guide us (we rented a car) to exact area to park and unload. He was gracious to take our car to park nearby and bring it back to us the next morning. Our accommodations were impeccable. Felt like a nostalgic luxury and classy old-world Italian setting. Everything was new, clean, and every detail was not missed from linen napkins at breakfast, to ironed sheets on the bedding. I needed a steamer to iron some clothes before dinner, and Mateo even offered to iron them for me while we walked around old town. Just top notch service and detail. Our biggest regret was that we didnt get to stay longer (1 night). The location is ideal as well. We were less than 5 minutes from Old Town Ostuni and walking the historic landscape. This bed and breakfast is a must stay!
This is easy to give a “10” rating for everything about this palazzo! The place is immaculately clean & stunning! The staff & owner are very kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was outstanding!
Nothing
Exquisite accommodation in the coolest part of the beautiful Citta Bianca. Every attention to detail by your meticulous host.
I absolutely loved staying here. The interior is stunning, the location peaceful and our host was kind, thoughtful and incrediably helpful. The breakfast spread of fresh local produce was out of this world - amazing. A very special place.
Our host MATTEO was exceptional and wonderful. The Palazzo Stunis is absolutely beautiful. The furnishings and breakfast each more is unbelievable! Every day there were clean pressed sheets and towels. The cleanliness was out of this world. This is a must place to stay!
There is nothing bad to say it was EXCEPTIONAL amazing!
Palazzo Stunis is marvelous! This beautiful home is impeccable. The attention to detail is unsurpassed. The rooms are gorgeously renovated and include every modern convenience. The breakfast is plentiful, delectable, and beautifully presented with exquisite table settings, fresh flowers, and soft music. The bedrooms are cozy and quiet. Fresh embroidered linens are provided daily. The location is close to the historic center and easily walkable to restaurants and Ostuni’s attractions. The owner, Matteo, is the most charming, kind, and solicitous host imaginable. He was eager to help us in every way, including finding the best parking, making dinner reservations, setting up an art gallery visit, and recommending sites to visit later in our trip. He noticed my traveling companion enjoyed chocolate and then ensured more chocolate pastries were available the next morning. Staying at Palazzo Stunis was a highlight of our Puglia trip. It now is my gold standard for future accommodations.
Stunis Charme B&B is one of the most beautiful and well-run places I've stayed in all my travels. Matteo is a host who deserves 10 stars. Not only are the rooms comfortable, but Matteo has considered every detail to make his guests feel welcome and taken care of. The breakfasts are abundant beyond belief, as if someone waved a magic wand over the kitchen area. Matteo spent time chatting with us, and provided terrific restaurant recommendations. He also went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with travel arrangements in our next stop, Lecce. Grazie mille, Matteo. Staying at your historic family home was an unforgettable experience.
My name is John. Myself and my friend Stacy recently travel to Italy, it was the first time for me in Italy. I can't say enough positive things about Palazzo Stunis Dimora di Charme. It was the best possible experience you could expect. Wonderful accomodations, beautiful location, amazing breakfast included each day that obviously was tailored to the tastes of the guest as the host paid close attention to make everything a person could want be available. Often we woke up to wonderful Italian music playing at the start of breakfast, what a way to start the day! If you want an A+++ experience, and appreciate true service, I highly recommend!
A wonderful stay in a beautiful restored palace . Attention to detail in all aspects with friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Every detail to Improve the experience has been thought of. Breakfasts outstanding with a huge array of food. Coffee excellent. Cannot recommend enough.
Breakfast was an amazing array of perfectly ripe fruit, pastries, meats, eggs, espresso, tea, juices etc all hosted by the most amazing host, Mateo. Never have my husband and I stayed in such a lovely Bed & Breakfast. The host Mateo has completely renovated his family home into a jewel that shines in every possible way. I can't say enough about his property and that without a doubt the most amazing host ever!
Absolutely nothing! Perfect from top to bottom
Choosing a hotel or b’n’b in another country is always a risk. I strongly suggest if you’re going to be close to Ostuni I would highly recommend Palazzo Stunis. The property is immaculate and well appointed. There is a lot of love in this dwelling given it’s been creatively transformed to express everyday comforts with a strong sense of history. Once you enter the doors, you become a house guest of Matteo, the owner of this property, which has been in the family for years. He has carefully restored every inch of the property. He will guide you through this area of Italy with such generosity of spirit.
Wonderful property, sparkling clean. We had the most delicious breakfast, with lots of choices. Every tiny detail was carefully considered by our gracious host. Highly recommended!
The host Matteo is amazing and treated us like family. He laid out a 3-day itinerary for us that was perfect so that we could see the highlights of the area. Breakfast was wonderful including extras like homemade yogurt, delicious pastries, and fine chocolates every day. Our room was impeccably decorated with hand painted flowers on the ceiling and sheets embroidered with flowers that were changed daily. This B and B is in an historic house that has been in the family for multiple generations and there is great pride of ownership. There are antiques and beautiful furnishings throughout. Matteo is warm and kind and willing to help in any way. Treat yourself and stay here if you come to Puglia!
Located about 1 km from the historic centre of Ostuni, the Palazzo Stunis family home has been lovingly restored as a B&B. Decorated with antiques and traditional furnishings, our host Matteo shared some of his life and heritage in Ostuni. He had every intention to ensure an enjoyable stay and made an effort to accommodate our movements. Valet parking was worth it, in a town where parking styles are liberal. Breakfast was enjoyable and characteristic of Italian hospitality.
This is one of the best places I have ever stayed, I will come again for sure. Mateo, the host, is super kind and helpfull, food is perfect, everything is very clean and cute.
Matteo is an incredinle host. Stayed thee nights. Breakfast offered extensive choices. Beautiful bed linen changed daily. Really recommend.
This is one od the best properties I have ever been. Everything is so beautiful, the food were amazing and the host, Mateo, is very kind!
Not only was Ostuni a beautiful place to visit but Palazzo Stunis was by far my favorite place to stay. The renovation done to Matteo’s family home is remarkable. It had all the conveniences of a modern stay with all the original charm. The parking was a short walk as was the center of the historical town. Matteo was an amazing host. Gave us perfect recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and included everything you could want. I can’t say nice enough things about our stay. Book it! You will not be disappointed!
Palazzo Stunis-Dimora di Charme was fabulous. Matteo was an amazing host who made me feel at home. The rooms had everything that I need and the bathrooms were updated and great. I would highly recommend this Palazzo.
In this place you will simply get more than what you expect. Top quality service that can rarely be felt. Everything, from beginning to end, is designed with such care and love that you simply have to feel it. For recommendation from the heart!
This was the most charming and beautiful place we stayed in our 18 day trip to Italy. Matteo has done a wonderful job of restoring and updating his gorgeous family home to accommodate guest stays. The common area was full of beautiful antiques from his family and the guest rooms were lovely and spacious with terrific modern bathroom and shower. The breakfast was superb and Matteo was a very charming and knowledgeable host! Highly recommend!
Beautifully maintained, impeccably furnished and very comfortable. We would go back and stay here again
Staying here is a wonderful experience as nothing is too much trouble for Matteo. The house is elegant and everything of the highest standard.
Our stay at Palazzo Stunis was truly unforgettable. The property itself is stunning – a beautifully restored family home full of charm, character and thoughtful details. But what made the experience exceptional was Matteo, the best host we could have asked for. He was incredibly responsive, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. From restaurant tips to local sights, his recommendations were spot on and made exploring Ostuni even more enjoyable. Matteo made us feel completely at home in his beautiful home, and we left feeling like we’d stayed with a friend. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.
We had a health emergency and had to make last-minute changes to our booking. Matteo was fantastic and couldn't have done more to help us at a very stressful time. Highly recommended.
So beautiful in every way. Elegant, old-world charm, the real thing. Truly unique and utterly charming yet with modern conveniences and very comfortable.
Everything was near perfection. Most gracious, helpful host we’ve ever had. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to make our stay comfortable. Every area of the Palazzo was perfectly decorated & appointed. Ceilings, tile floors & woodwork were beautiful. Bed & linens were comfortable & high quality. Good location with easy walk to historic center. Especially notable for an Italian hilltop historic town, parking was effortless. Breakfast offered wide variety of choices & all were excellent & nicely presented.
Stunis Palazzo, under Matteo’s meticulous management, is a true hidden gem. He maintains an exceptionally high standard and caters thoughtfully to guests who appreciate something more niche and refined. Matteo speaks good English and is full of insightful ideas that make exploring the area richer and more enjoyable. Breakfast is a highlight, with gourmet quality and seasonal variety. I especially loved the chance to sample freshly ripe prickly pears, full of aroma and flavor. If you are looking for an aromatic room, tranquil surroundings, an attentive host, and a setting where antique meets modern décor, this is without doubt one of the great options in Ostuni.
We had a fabulous two night stay. The accomodation is just beautiful and the attention to detail amazing. Beautiful linens, comfortable beds, hot powerful shower, space and lovely clean spaces. The host is warm & welcoming. This is the place to stay!
Palazzo Stunis exceeds all your expectations. Decor is impeccable, & the breakfast was outstanding w/vegan options.
The property is a family home with maintained original charm. It’s quaint, warm, comfortable, clean, and the hospitality is unmatched. The host was so attentive, helpful, provided us with insight into the property and the town. We stayed here as a part of our honeymoon and we will absolutely be coming back.
Mateo, the owner, is a truly wonderful host. He makes you feel right at home with his warmth and hospitality. He takes care of the place with genuine love and attention, and his kindness and service make you feel completely comfortable. Every detail of the house — even the carefully embroidered sheets — is thoughtfully selected and impeccably maintained.
Quarto grande , aconchegante ,limpo
There is a reason every Palazzo Stunis review is 5 stars! Mateo has meticulously renovated this beautiful family property. He pays attention to every detail, and his taste is exquisite. He is extremely welcoming and personable, and he offers many perfect suggestions for exploring the Puglia area. Breakfasts are beautiful with many choices, housekeeping is wonderful (and even changes the bed daily with freshly ironed sheets), and this lovely property is an easy walk into the main parts of town. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!
The building and accommodation itself are stunning, spotless and beautifully furnished. Staying here felt like an authentic Ostuni experience, once you start exploring the area you will know what I mean. Matteo could not be more welcoming and helpful.
Nothing
Fantastic Stunning Boutique hotel. Absolutely phenomenal, Matteo (the owner) is an excellent host. Palazzo Stunis location is prime ... within walking distance from Old Town Ostuni. Needless is to stay that I loved Stunis ... from the moment you step in the front door you are in awe by the beautiful decor and attention to detail. The house has been in Matteo's family for generations and was restored to its original condition and glory. The bedrooms and beds are not only beautiful but super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a feast, with a wide variety of delicious options. My stay was simply unforgettable, and I can't wait to return! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a splendid ,relaxing, unique and true Italian hospitality experience. Fantastico, splendido boutique hotel.
There is nothing I did not like !! Stunis is perfection
This B&B is a real gem. Totally renovated this luxurious inter generational family home is a real find. Matteo was amazing, the breakfast and tea and juice bar was delicious and the beds and rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this inn for its location, service and overall experience.
We stayed only 1 night in this beautifully restored home, and wish we could have stayed all week. Matteo is an excellent host. The room was charming and very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. We highly recommend Palazzo Stunis, our stay there kicked off what looks to be a spectacular week in Puglia.
Mateo’s exceptional hospitality and spot-on recommendations made our stay truly unforgettable, beyond the great location and comfortable room.
Fantastic host, amazing breakfast, beautiful accommodations and short walk to historic center.
The location was fantastic and the room very comfortable, but what truly made our stay memorable was Mateo’s outstanding hospitality. He was always available, went out of his way to make our visit special, and every recommendation he gave was spot on.
A DREAM stay for our honeymoon. more than a hotel, a heartfelt experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at Palazzo Stunis during our honeymoon, and honestly, it felt like walking into a dream. Matteo and his wonderful staff made us feel not like guests, but like cherished friends. If you’re wondering where to stay in Ostuni… you’ve already found it. Matteo is the kind of host who reminds you that details are everything. From the moment we arrived, every gesture – big or small – was filled with warmth, care, and genuine hospitality. He helped us with our luggage, parked our car, and even took the time to walk us around, sharing beautiful stories about the town and its hidden corners. The house itself is a living museum, lovingly preserved and cared for just as much as its guests. Every room whispers elegance, history, and charm. The breakfasts were divine, and the bed? Like sleeping on a cloud. But Matteo goes beyond all expectations: he made a dinner reservation for us in a place so incredible, we can truly say we’ve never eaten so well or been treated so beautifully in our lives. Kindness, intelligent conversation, local tips, and a host who truly, truly cares. That’s what you’ll find here. Thank you, Matteo !! we’ll never forget it. With love, Maite & Santiago
I had the most amazing stay in this incredibly charming home. The place was impeccably clean and restored to give a modern feel while retaining it's original 19th Century details, it was exquisite! Matteo and the staff were as charming as their place, so warm, welcoming, kind, and helpful. Matteo was a delight to talk with and not only suggested some of his favorite places to eat and visit in the region, but was happy to make reservations for me as well. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in (I asked him the brand because I want the same one for home), amazing shower, breakfast, and I can go on and on. It was by far the nicest place I stayed at in my 3 week journey through Southern Italy. Also to note, I felt extremely comfortable here traveling alone. I hope I get to stay here one day again!
I really can't think of anything

Matteo is the most welcoming, helpful, kind and accommodating host. His generational family home has been lovingly restored and beautifully decorated . His attention to detail from the bed linens to the breakfast spread made you feel pampered and special. The location is walking distance to the attractions but far enough away to feel you are in a real neighborhood. I can’t imagine a better place to stay while visiting magical Ostuni.
What a charming bed and breakfast. Matteo is the consummate host who graciously shared his family home which is renovated to perfection when the exquisite attention to detail. Matteo was so generous in recommending restaurants, beaches and arranging all, making it a special stay. Ostuni is a charming and magical town.
We spent 4 wonderful days in Ostuni and stayed in the enchanting Palazzo Stunis. Matteo was a wonderful host - with a very pleasant personal and caring touch. We very much enjoyed all (!) of his recommendations - from restaurant, gelateria, city walks, day trips to the vicinity of Ostuni ... up to some final shopping which we wanted to accomplish before leaving Puglia :) Most conviniently, he offered a dirct messenger communication for any ad hoc question and suggestion. Palazzo Stunis is an enchanting 19th century town house. Once you climb up the interior stairs, you are in a differnt world - historic furniture, shining tile floors, embroidered table cloths etc. While all is perfectly renovated in the style of the 19th century (down to the detail of the electric wall switches :)), everything is well maintained and up to the latest standards. Breakfast was opulent - the buffet is served on the old tables in the hallway ... and we found a different set of porcelain on our table every morning - what a start in the day. During the day, Matteo provides tea, juice, espresso, and yoghurt refreshments - a nice treat when you swing by for a brief rest. Our nightly evening retreat was the roof top sitting area, where we enjoyed a refreshing breeze and reminisced about the day's impressions with a glas of wine. Palazzo Stunis is just 5-10 minutes away from the lively squares and the historic city center. It is quick walking there, and nice walking back into the calm neighborhood of the house. A great detail is the included car parking option just 2 minutes walk away from house. All in all, we are more than happy to recommend Palazzo Stunis - you will not stay for the lowest price, but you can enjoy a special experience! Many thanks to Matteo - and we hope to see each other again in either Southern or Northern Europe.
To our new friend Matteo from Palazzo Stunis… it was our pleasure to come to Puglia for the first time & stay at your B&B! We came from the USA and we left feeling very happy we booked here! The home is soooo lovely, clean, well-kept, and super hospitable. The bed & pillows were so comfortable & the morning breakfast was so beautiful. The location is also perfect to walk 5 mins into the center of town. Parking for your car also available. Matteo went above and beyond to make local recommendations in Ostuni, Bari, Mattera, Lecce, and even for beach clubs. He is a kind, sweet, and hardworking host & we will forever remember this trip to Puglia. We rate this establishment 10/10.
Matteo was an incredible host and clearly has a passion for beauty. He has spent a lot of effort maintaining and renovating this B&B. It's a charming and authentic 19th century Palazzo held in his family for 3 generations, but he's refurbished it with a refinished / modern and cleanly touch. Beautiful place.
Matteo met us to help with carrying our bags up the one flight of stairs. It's a newly renovated historic property that has been in his family for generations. It has been beautifully decorated with a hint of history. The breakfast was amazing, and the rooms were very comfy with all of the expected amenities. We could walk to the town square, and when it rained, he arranged for our tuk tuk to pick us up at the property so we could enjoy the day. We would stay here again. Thanks, Matteo, for helping to make our trip extra special.
Superlative in every way
Absolutely nothing
What an amazing place! Palazzo Stunis is the best hotel we have enjoyed whilst in Puglia. The palazzo, family- owned for several generations, has been lovingly, meticulously, and artfully renovated by Matteo , our most extraordinary elegant and refined host. The room ( parental suite) is exquisitely decorated with high ceilings, and painted frescoes. The adjoining bathroom is impeccably clean boasting the plushest bath towels and hand -embroidered hand towels. The hand embroidered , fine linen bed sheets are changed every day. What a treat! The breakfast buffet , replete with a cornucopia of fresh fruit, croissants, baked goods, yoghurts, eggs any style, cured meats , cheeses…… is a lavish feast , unseen anywhere else. Matteo is the epitome of kindness, efficiency, and refinement. We feel privileged to have been able to stay at that marvelous palazzo in beautiful Ostuni.
If I could award 10 stars, I would. This Palazzo is exceptional and that’s not just because of the accommodation, but because the palazzo is very different from any other place you will visit in Puglia. Matteo is a kind and generous host, as everyone writing their reviews here has mentioned, but nothing prepared us for the beauty of the furniture, the decorations (the ceilings are a work of art) and the lovely furnishings. We later learned this used to be his family home which explained all the personal touches from vintage radios, beautiful china and linen sheets which are hand embroidered. Breakfast was a feast, so do make sure you have a good appetite and he served great coffee!. Matteo will give you as much help and support as you need and was very good company. We loved the little area set aside for making our own drinks and the fridge for soft drinks which were all complementary. Free parking is a short drive away- it’s not possible to park on the street- another little touch which made our stay so civilised. It’s an expensive place for a bed and breakfast, but it will be the most memorable of your holiday.
By far the loveliest BnB we’ve ever stayed in. Brilliant location. Easy 5-10 min walk to the centre of town. The rooms were pristine. A beautiful property. Lovely linen sheets. Beautiful decor. Fabulous shower. The breakfast was stupendous. And Matteo the host was so helpful, parking our car ( free parking less than five mins away) and producing umbrellas at the first hint of rain. Highly recommend!
The house was absolutely stunning. Matteo was a wonderful host who provided an enormous breakfast of various items. We were sorry we did t stay longer. It was a pleasure to see such a lovely house. My room was the Rose room which was very lovely. Everything was beautifully clean & maintained.
Beautiful place to stay. Fantastic host. Fabulous breakfast. Excellent facilities.
Nothing really not to like.
A wonderful B&B Mateo, the owner, was so nice, friendly and very helpful
An amazing B&B! Such a beautiful place with a rich family history, close to the old town and a wonderful owner, Mateo. He was so friendly and helpful with places to visit and restaurant recommendations. Would definitely come back here again on our next visit to Ostuni.
This property has been renovated back to its former glory by a family member. It has been done with such love and consideration that you feel it as soon as you enter.
Nothing - it was delightful!
This property is an exquisitely renovated 18 century home in the heart of the city! The home is gorgeous and because the place only has three impeccably designed bedrooms, we also were able to utilize the entire house! Matteo, the owner of the home is the most gracious and thoughtful host! He was so obliging and had many great suggestions for us to visit in Ostuni and the entire region of Puglia! There is also free parking!

Charming little bed and breakfast only 5 minutes walk from all of the restaurants in Ostuni. Matteo and his team are wonderful and so helpful with anything we needed. They have parking available for a fee which was just a block away. For us that was imperative since we doing day trips and it was much easier to get in and out with a car from this location then from the busier area. The Breakfast and coffee provided in the morning were just what we needed to start the day. Would highly recommend if you are staying in Ostuni.
We loved everything about our stay at this lovely, elegant property and very much wished we had been able to stay longer than only the three evenings we had booked. Matteo, the proprietor of Palazzo Stunis has created a wonderfully special atmosphere in this heritage home, and offers his guests luxurious and comfortable respite in the midst of Ostuni and indeed, the wider Puglia area. Matteo is both personable and very knowledgeable about the area, and readily provided us with suggestions for places of interest, local specialties, dinner reservations and the like which made us feel quite at home in the area. We also enjoyed the delicious and extensive breakfast offered each morning before heading out for our daily adventures. Much of the area is within easy driving distance of Ostuni and we appreciated having a home base and the parking offered. And of course, returning at day’s end to refresh and relax on the terrace at Plazzo Stunis before heading out to enjoy dinner at one of the city’s many interesting restaurants was simply a perfect finish to each day. Matteo’s passion for his home, country and his interest and thoughtful approach to the needs of his guests creates a special feeling of welcome to and comfort in Ostuni and Puglia that simply shines through at Palazzo Stunis. Enjoy your visit there!
We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Stunis. The property is beautifully restored and decorated. It is very clean and comfortable. Matteo is an excellent host. He is very responsive and took care of everything. Thank you for making our stay in Ostuni a memorable one.
Such a beautiful Palazzo From the hand painted ceilings and original tiled floors to the fantastic chandeliers and lovely light fittings in every room. Our room was spacious with 2 period style queen size beds and we had our own private access. Breakfast each morning were amazing with an assortment of cereals, fresh fruits cakes, meats, cheeses, pizza slices and more all beautifully laid out on magnificent inlaid tables with white lace tablecloths. The dining tables for breakfast were laid beautifully with China crockery and cutlery in keeping with the theme of the home, which was a family home that Matteo renovated. We cant speak highly enough of Matteo as our host. He is the perfect gentleman. Whether he was helping with luggage, advising about restaurants, arranging private tours or drivers to pick us up from the airport etc, nothing was too much trouble. Matteo treated us as very special guests. We really enjoyed our long chats and we are so happy we were able to spend time with him at his beautiful Palazzo If only we could keep this as a secret for ourselves. Do not hesitate to visit Matteo and his amazing Palazzo Deb and Frank Taranto
Palazzo Stunis is a beautiful B&B located in the charming town of Ostuni. The location is great, just a stone's throw from the center of town. But the best part of staying here is Matteo, the owner and Innkeeper. His pride in his family home is evident from the painstaking renovations he made to the property. So beautiful, every detail. The service at Palazzo Stunis is unparalled. Matteo not only provided us with the history of the house and town , but also gave us wonderful suggestions for dinner, after which he made reservations for us. We enjoyed a delicious meal. Thank you. Matteo also took care of parking and retrieving our car, which in a pedestrian town car be a big challenge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend Matteo and Palazzo Stunis.

the mix of traditional family home and modern high quality finishing and bathrooms . The owner was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
The walk back from the Old Town.
The property was impeccably clean and beautiful.
If you’d like to feel like Italian royalty in your noble palazzo while enjoying every, superbly curated modern comfort- this is the place. We arranged to meet friends here for a weekend of exploring the town and the region- we all left hoping to return asap. The parking, the breakfast, the luxurious beds, the atmosphere and above all the most helpful and charming host… couldn’t have been better. Everything far exceeded our expectations and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves fully. I wholeheartedly could recommend this hotel to the most discerning of travelers- it’s WONDERFUL!
Beautiful family home that has been transformed into a small bed and breakfast with wonderful attention to detail, lovely comfortable rooms and in a great location for Ostuni restaurants and attractions.
Beside the authentic charming and elegant property which comes with immaculate prompt services and generous fresh delicious breakfast and more … topped with a professional royalty host , Matteo is the best host I ever met through all my travels … the amount of time he provided to assist us with his wide knowledge about the surrounding beauty and his genuine and delicate treatment were above 6 stars hotel … I ended up extending my stay for another two nights … Matteo and his high quality and efficient service is impressive … I can’t thank him enough for his excellent hospitality and kind personality … my husband , daughter and I will always remember him . We left with beautiful experience to be remembered and shared .
Our recent stay at Matteo's family-run B&B in the heart of Ostuni was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, Matteo welcomed us with warmth and hospitality that rival even the most luxurious hotels we've visited worldwide. His dedication to creating a memorable experience for his guests is evident in every detail of the Palazzo. The Palazzo itself is a masterpiece—a spacious 400-square-meter gem, thoughtfully decorated to reflect the rich local culture and design. Each room tells a story, blending elegance with a unique, personal touch that made our stay feel both special and authentic. Matteo’s attention to detail extends to every corner, creating an ambiance that perfectly encapsulates the charm of southern Italy. One of the highlights of our stay was the coffee—brewed to perfection and served with a personal touch that made each morning feel like a celebration. Matteo's care and passion shine through in these small gestures, making the experience truly unforgettable. Our only regret is that our stay was far too short. Two days simply weren't enough to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and tranquility of Ostuni and the southern Italian lifestyle. We are already planning our return. We wholeheartedly recommend Matteo's B&B to anyone seeking an experience that combines luxury, authenticity, and unparalleled service. Thank you, Matteo, for making our visit so special. We can't wait to come back. Eugene and Jolanta Wittstock
Mateo is the most gracious, amazing host we ever have had. He explained in such detail the places of interest in Ostuni and catered the restaurant recommendations to our particular taste. The house is full of history and beyond amazing, since he has a personal connection to the place the experience of both meeting him and staying in is unparalleled. The breakfast surpased our expectatives and was such a delight full of sweet pastries and fruit and more internationally friendly options (such as eggs and ham), each room is unique and full of history, ours was floral inspired and I just know that the details, from the interior design to the bed blankets and towels are all high quality and were handpicked by Mateo, we deeply appreciated his commitment to make it a memorable stay for guest in both in his b&b and in Ostuni. This b&b made me rethink my definition of luxury (not mass marketed) and how once in a lifetime unique stays still exist.
I wished we had stayed longer!
Stunning, authentic property. Very well maintained. A lovely 10 minute walk to the centre. The room was perfect and the air conditioning helped this summer. Gorgeous bedroom with lots of space for all our bags. Mateo is the most fabulous host and was amazing throughout our stay. Reserved all our restaurants and was available for any questions. Thank you for the morning coffee!
My husband and I recently stayed at Palazzo Stunis on our honeymoon and were welcomed by our fabulous host Matteo! The property, the location, the history, the incredible breakfast - the entire experience was unforgettable and amazing. Matteo gave us not only a beautiful place to stay but incredible hospitality. After serving us the most delightful and beautifully presented breakfast I have ever seen, he sat with us and explained the ins and outs of not only Ostuni, but all the parts of Puglia we were visiting. He kindly suggested different day trips, beaches and restaurants to visit, which became the foundation of our 2 weeks in Puglia. Everything he recommended was perfect and we are certain we would not have had the same experiences without spending time with Matteo. He also booked us some amazing restaurants in Ostuni (which were some of the best meals of our entire 4 weeks in Italy) and suggested beautiful bars for pre/post dinner drinks along with the best view points to view the white city. Our only regret was not staying for longer. Matteo, we will most certainly be back and highly recommend your beautiful property to all future guests. Bellissimo!
