The Aberlour Hotel

The staff were great. The location with parking was fantastic.

Too many stairs and the rooms were too small.

The rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms were large and clean, and there was off-street parking. The restaurant was great, with very reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast.

Das Personal am Empfang und auch beim Frühstück sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Parkplatz durften wir schon vor check in nutzen.

Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad wurde aber wohl vor einigen Jahren erneuert.

I found the breakfast not to my liking

The staff were friendly, it had a great breakfast. The bar was quaint and had lots of locals. Wasn’t a tourist trap.

Staff replaced our towels on the second day.

My wife is an octogenarian and I am septuagenarian the room we were given upon arrival was on the top floor, no lift, and we had to slog up three flights of stairs with our luggage.The room was in the converted attic space with half the room following the roof line so I had to bend my body at a 45 degree angle in order to sidle to my side of the bed and to the desk/tv area. Surrounding the floor of the shower were bits of black mold indicating the cleanup crew did not pay attention to detail. The hot water would waver during the course of a shower and go cold and require frequent readjustment. when we moved the chair around to watch the television we found a dirty sock rolled up in the corner. I guess some former guest is still looking for it

Das Bett war ein Traum, das beste das wir auf unseren 18 Tagen in Schottland hatten. Das Hotel ist zwar schon älter, aber für uns wars perfekt. Großes Zimmer und im Bad sogar eine Badewanne und eine Dusche, mit der man das großzügige Badezimmer nicht flutet. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück lies keine Wünsche offen. Parkplatz wie angegeben vorhanden.

Conveniently situated between Aberdeen and Inverness. The Cullen Skink was good. Breakfast buffet table could be more interesting.

The room was very small. The taps were very odd in the way they worked and a staff member had to come up and give instructions. The bathroom had a pee smell and the door didn't close. The walls of the room were grubby.

The hotel seems in two halves. The rooms were indifferent. The evening meal dining area was poor. The breakfast area was a different league and there was an excellent breakfast by any standard. So two standards!!!!

4m. x 6m room. Damaged woodchip wallpaper. Unable to fasten shut the one sash window which gave out onto a flat roof; felt very vulnerable. Kettle had to boil on the floor. No en-suite. Lighting bizarre.

Centrally located on the main street of Aberlour, good English Breakfast, rooms were nicely renovated with big bathroom. Parking also available on site. Restaurant offer great food!

Bed comfort could be better.

Very welcoming , clean well presented rooms . An ideal location to visit several nearby whisky distilleries. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay at Aberlour Hotel! It was the final stop after a multi-day hike & a perfect way to end the trip. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and we were given useful advice to help our with our plans for the evening. The room was very comfortable & Aberlour is a delightful scenic village - and the generous breakfast was the perfect way to start our return journey.

Food and staff were great. Location is ideal for the whisky trail. Great for a couple of nights stay. Reception and dining areas all very fresh and clean.

Thought the resteraunt could have stayed open till 9 o'clock instead of 7 30. Room was just a bit small, but expect that from older hotels. Street facing room a bit noisy.

Great central location. Our room was very spacious, very comfortable bed and lovely linen. Bathroom a great size, even had a bath! We appreciated the fan in the room to help stay cool.

I would have appreciated a face cloth in the bathroom.

Freundlich und sauber. Großes Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Einen funktionierenden Schallplattenspieler auf dem Hotelzimmer hatte ich zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben. Sehr witzige Idee. Altes Haus, aber sauber und gepflegt, was man nicht von jedem anderen Hotel auf unserer Reise entlang der Speyside sagen konnte.

Ein Zimmer zur Hauptverkehrsstraße war schon recht laut.

We really liked our stay at the Aberlour Hotel. We were upgraded to a fabulous room with king-size bed, very comfy and nicely decorated. Super big bathroom. Our bicycles were safely stored for us. Breakfast was excellent with a cold buffet and hot dishes made to order, coffee was especially good.

Breakfast was very good, casual setting. Hotel was in a great spot for whiskey tours.

Many stairs up and down to reach my room, no elevator. Almost no sound insulation- too much noise coming from other rooms, corridor and street.

Geluidsoverlast in onze kamer, het raam kwam uit aan de keuken. Ik vermoed dat "de koeling" met pijp door het dak om de 2 minuten aansloeg. De kamer was zeer warm. Prijs/kwaliteit viel tegen.

Beds were comfy but the hotel is showing it's age. Location was great, on a fairly busy road but noise wasn't too bad with windows closed. Good restaurants nearby, but you need to book in peak periods.

Bathroom well past it. The hotel and, particularly the bathrooms, need some love. It was a simple pub room. We were probably expecting a bit more based on the photos and reviews.

It was convenient, clean, and staff helpful.

Property a little tired, and no obvious lounge to sit in to meet up with friends other than bar.

Hotel is located in the centre of Aberlour, its well appointed and clean; perfect for our large hiking party. Record players in rooms were appreciated ;)

Leider kein Aufzug. Zimmer im Dachgeschoss. Handlauf im Treppenhaus im ersten Obergeschoss defekt, sehr wackelig. Frühstück nicht genutzt.

A cosy small hotel at the center of city. After I was upgraded ,my room was excellent. It was big and light and comfortable.

The first room which I was offered was small. Besides there was extremely hot and 2 pipes (probably kitchen pipes) were just behind my window. Then I was upgraded…:)

Staff friendly Food good Good location Room dated needs a paint. Windows all damp and curtains help on by tie wraps! Could be done with small fridge also was a family room we were staying in and was warm.

The village of Aberlour never fails to please, this was our first time in the hotel and it was the same...... Lovely friendly, extremely helpful staff, great breakfast, great menu (bar), lovely room in a fab village. Highly recommended, Thank you very much x

Hotelli oli hyvin siisti, myös uusittu kylpyhuone. Sänky oli mukava. Aamiainen hyvä. Itse kylä oli myös sympaattinen. Parkkitilaa löytyi.

Todella omituiset hanat kylpyhuoneeseen, mutta niistäkin selvisi.

The continental breakfast which I chose was good with plenty fruit.

The window frames badly need replacing. The woodwork was rotten and crumbling which made the place look dirty with pieces of bad wood all over the window sills. One of the window sills OKwas covered with tiny black insects. I had to use wet toilet paper to clean it!

Small friendly hotel in Aberlour where there wasn't very much else of anything. Rooms were clean and comfortable with good pressure in the shower. Staff were helpful. Restaurant on site had a long menu so something for everyone.

Staff tried hard but could do with more training when it came to offering menus and wine lists. Didn't seem to know what wines were available. Didn't come back and ask us if we wanted desserts and coffee. We thought that perhaps the kitchen was closing early but did seem odd to close at 8pm on a Friday night. Rest of town was closed on Friday afternoon very early.

Location was in the hotel. Service was great and food was delicious.

Le pub attaché a l'hôtel est dégueulasse. Les gens dedans également. Des piliers de bar qui rotent et flatulent... Ça s'entendait jusque dans le restaurant que nous avons du coup fuis. La carte du restaurant qui propose des cartes de boissons sans aucun prix ni % d'alcool. La chambre était tellement mal insonorisée par rapport à la route qu'on a vérifié 3 fois que la fenêtre était bien fermée.

No hot water in the sink of room 401. The staff were great and gave access to room 403 so we could use the sink there.

Mooi centraal gelegen hotel in een leuk dorp. Compleet hotel met bar en restaurant.

De kamer die we hadden geboekt was erg klein maar wel netjes.

Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast each morning was a great setup for the day. Location is great for accessing the rest of Speyside and visiting distilleries.

I couldn't quite get the sink water in the bathroom to run hot or cold consistently.

증류소 여행을 하기 좋은 위치에 있었으며, 주변에 큰편의점이 있어서 좋았습니다. 그리고 산책하기 좋은 코스(폭포, 강)가 가까이 있어서 편하게 쉬기 좋았습니다.

오래된 건물이다보니 방을 가기위해 오르락 내리락 하였습니다. 그래도 편했습니다.

Levendig hotel door restaurant en pub. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. De bedden lagen heerlijk. Goed badkamer. In de pub mensen uit het dorp. Gezellig. Hotel ligt centraal in de Speyside.

Ben je slecht ter been, dan is dit hotel niet ideaal door de trappen en vele deuren.

Room tiny and no en-suite, having to access the bathroom by leaving the room and up the common hallway was a first and an annoyance more than anything - room was over priced given this.

The cooked breakfast had a lot of meals to choose from. The continental breakfast not so many choices. The restaurant was pleasant to sit in and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I would have preferred mugs in the room to have tea or coffee. A small car park but we were able to park.

Located close to walks and distillery. Quiet enough but on a busy road. Staff were nice and breakfast was fine.

In terrible condition. Marks everywhere. Hot tap broken. One light broken. I brought someone here for their birthday and was so embarrassed. Not worth the money.

Fräscht rum med skön säng. Frukosten bra med extra plus till att det gick att få gröt, nödvändigt för oss löpare i Dramathon :)

The hotel was a good bolt hole for visiting family. It's a popular place with local people at times and staff are helpful and friendly. I was very happy with the room. Very well presented with fresh white bedding and a nice new bathroom. Wasnt sure what to expect on arrival, but our room was brilliant. Didnt want to leave such comfortable bed's. 😀

I have been travelling for 2 weeks and this is, by far, the best accommodations i have had. The room was very clean, well equipped and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were awesome. The restaurant was good value. Breakfast was the best! Great server and excellent food to start your day. The guy at reception was friendly, clear on explaining the hotel amenities and helpful. Just an excellent experience there all around.

What a fantastic hotel, great food and good vibes throughout the hotel. A bonus was the Cullen Skink from the current World Champion that i took home, my wife and I can confirm that it was indeed worthy of the award.

Staff were nice, bar bit tacky, it lacks a residents lounge. Dinner was poor but breakfast very good. Bit tired in general.
