Abu Hayat Cave Suites

Everything was amazing! The room was beautiful, the family who runs it were friendly, they gave us lots of ideas for where to go, helped us get our laundry done. The breakfasts were wonderful. The location is beautiful, overlooking a valley.

The room temperature took a long time to adjust because the rock walls hold the heat really well, but we wanted it cooler. They gave us thinner blankets to try to help us, which was appreciated.

Perfecte ligging. Super mooi uitzicht. Alle medewerkers waren heel aardig en deden meer dan hun best om het ons naar ons zin te maken.

Everything about this place is magical. The building blends beautifully into the surroundings, and the room felt like something from a fairytale. The staff were warm and attentive, the food was excellent, and Fathima is truly wonderful. I cannot wait to return.

Moderne, gepflegte kleine Anlage (7 Zimmer) mit schöner Aussicht. Großes Höhlenzimmer mit Whirlpool. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Ausgezeichnete Betreuung durch Fatma. In fünf Minuten zu Fuß am Hauptplatz des Ortes.

Heel erg mooi gelegen. Een plaatje! Personeel is super vriendelijk en zeker met ALLES behulpzaam. De (mede) eigenaresse Fatma is zeer vriendelijk en zeker zeer HARTELIJK! Zeer goed ontbijt!

Fatima & her staff ( her 2 sisters) went above & beyond what you'd expect for staying in a hotel. I made a mistake by booking for 2026 & was worried upon my arrival. She organized everything, got us a room for the night , gave us some shawls for going to the hot air balloons at 4.00am

Extremely warm and friendly atmosphere. Fatma is a very lovely person and very helpful. The hotel is very clean, has a family atmosphere and an amazing view. Location is great.

Un accueil exceptionnel. Des conseils avisés sur la région, une superbe vue depuis la chambre, un hôtel situé dans un village pittoresque et authentique, beaucoup plus calme que Göreme mais assez proche des points d’intérêt. Mais le meilleur de ce séjour restera Fatma et sa famille. Nous n’avons pas eu l’impression d’être dans un hôtel mais plutôt d’être invités chez une cousine, dans une grande maison familiale, typique de la région. Et point important pour les gourmands, Fatma nous a régalés avec des petits déjeuners variés et savoureux. Les quatre nuits sont passées trop vite. Nous reviendrons!

Great breakfast, kind and very supportive staffs. This is a family run hotel, owner is very, really kind and eager to help you for your travel and vacation. Ortahisar is relatively quiet place. If you want to experience a quiet, authentic cave hotel, this will be your choice.

We had a lovely reception with teas and biscuits. It’s a small a family owned business. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a very lovely and pleasant stay. It had a great view from the hotel, excellent breakfast, comfortable bed and very cool cave room. It’s a 3 min walk to the village center. Ortahasir it’s a very small village but it’s only a 5-10 min drive from goreme that has more going on. Highly recommended.

Ailece 5 gün 6 gecelik bir tatil yaptık. Olumsuz bir durum yaşamadık. Güler yüzleri ile çalışanlar bizi aileden biri hissi verdi. Güzel bir tatil geçirdik.

Hotel is located at a side of a hill, so shuttle or taxis wont park at the front, you must walk 100mts to get there. The town has just a few options of restaurants and shops. You have to take a taxi to go around, it is easy to get it and not expensive. Uber works. Staff is really gentle and rooms are big, you will really live the turkish culture.

Fatma was a lovely host. She was helpful and always cheery. The breakfasts were nice Turkish style breakfasts (al fresco) which was nice. The hotel was small with 7 individual rooms. We were in the Sultan suite which was very interesting and tastefully decorated. It was lovely to stay in a cave type hotel room which had been modernised. We stayed in June and didn't need AC at all. The cave room temperature stayed pretty constant and therefore it was slightly chilly at night and we definitely needed the blanket that had been supplied. The area around the hotel in Ortahisar was very quiet and peaceful compared to the very touristy hustle and bustle of Goreme. There were some reasonable restaurants in the area and we enjoyed the local coffee shop and the castle. Some suggestions to improve the room would include attention to the hot water (we would have to run the tap for a good few minutes before getting warm/hot water). In addition the seating area of the 'balcony' through the patio doors could be improved and made more comfortable. Also more towels, some bathrobes and a fridge would be useful. Also the door lock was quite difficult to use unless applying a lot of force to push the door while turning the key. An electric heater is needed for the evenings. Despite all of this, we had a lovely few days at Abu Hayat Cave Suites and have fond memories.

Nice Cave hotel with an excellent view! The host Fatima is a very kind person! Ali the caretaker at night is very helpful. The breakfast is the best we had in Turkey. Overall it was an enriching experience as we were lucky to have good weather during our stay!

Maybe a little more extra breakfast time as it's a cave suite and lots of people go for hot air balloons and are tired!

The property is situated in a beautiful setting with all the facilities you require on a leisure trip. The host Ms. Fatima treats the guests like it is her home and makes them feel very comfortable. The team put an extra effort to ensure there were a couple of vegetarian options in the breakfast every morning which for us was a big deal, so thank you once again!

Fatima the host lady is so friendly with good English, we got upgraded and the whole hotel is like movie set, felt like living in the dream for two days! We explored around, it’s an uniq little town with nice people and the best place to stay in Cappadocia!

One of the best holidays. The owners were always helpful, organized the ballon flight and the trips. From the first seconds it was like home. Should we go on holiday there again, there is only one dress. Thanks for everything.

We had the lovely pleasure of staying at this gorgeous, clean, family friendly hotel! Aside from the fact that amenities, room, breakfast, cleanliness, location was perfect,, the hotel staff Fatma and her lovely workers was the by far the best experience we had. They made us feel like family, welcomed us with so much love and addressed all our questions, concerns every single time with a lot care and consideration. We also had a toddler, so naturally our demands were higher than normal because of that, but we felt so accommodated for. I can’t express my gratitude to Fatma and the staff. Thank you! I can’t wait to come back.

We could not have been made to feel more welcome by Fatmah and her family during our stay! Nothing was too much trouble, the breakfasts were sensational and our room was beautiful. Fatmah was very knowledgeable and helped us with car hire, transfers and itinerary planning. The hotel is in a great part of town, a quick walk up to the main square but far enough away to be peaceful and the views are beautiful. We will be back!

Beautiful and suggestive location. Strategic position to visit all of Cappadocia. Friendly and very kind private host. Large and comfortable double bedrooms. Impeccable cleaning. Excellent and plentiful breakfast.

From the moment we walked in it was if we were staying in the sultans cave palace. The most beautifull, authentic and luxurious hotel we stayed in ever. Everything you want abd need in a beautifull cave room including bubble bath and a great view of the valley. For western standards it was a very good price!

I can't say enough good things about my stay here. Fatima and her family were so welcoming! The rooms are spectacular; honestly the pictures don't do it justice. The views from the porch where breakfast is served are beautiful and the breakfasts...they just kept bringing out more and more food. If you are driving there be aware that the road to the hotel is narrow and there is no visible parking but go inside the hotel and one of the family members will go out and show you where to park. You can walk to town (it is a short but upward climb the whole way though)

Fatma and her family are the nicest hosts we've ever met. They were very welcoming, friendly and they help us for everything we asked. The room was clean and we had everything we need. Location is perfect, befter than Goreme. Recomending 100%

Fatma’s cave suites are a charming little retreat in Ortahisar. The rooms are really special, but are trumped by Fatma’s warm welcome and care. She welcomed us with a team and cake, served us delicious breakfast and looked after us wonderfully during our stay. As for the room, there was a huge bathroom, the views were stunning and the place was well-heated. We found the place more authentic than alternatives we had considered in Goreme.

Amazing overall experience staying at this boutique hotel. The uniqueness of the rooms and set up in the caves just unbelievable. The people who run the business is very warm and very attentive! Hasan is who built the hotel has an amazing story and we spent a few evenings together. We extended our stay by another day and really didn't want to leave ... I highly recommend this place over other places in Goreme if you prefer tranquility over busy and touristy places. Thank you to all Ab-u Hayat Cave Suites!

Everything about this hotel experience was perfect. From the outstanding and friendly staff to the spectacular rooms and grounds and the delicious breakfast, this hotel was a highlight of our trip. If you’re in Cappadocia this is the only place you should even be looking at.

Özellikle işletme sahibi Fatma Hanımın, Hatice Hanımın ve personel görevlisi Beşir Beyin ilgi ve samimiyetleri ortamı daha da pozitif bir enerjiye bürüyor. Tarihi dokuya hayran kaldık. Kahvaltı mükemmeldi. Kahvaltı sonrası sohbet ve kahve ikramı da renk kattı. Odalar çok temizdi. Bir sonraki gelişimizde tekrar tercih edeceğimiz mekan.Konforlu tatil yapmak istiyorsanız kesinlikle Abu-Hayat...

Tavsiye ederim. İlgi alaka çok iyiydi. Samimi ve aile sıcaklığında bi konaklamaydı. :)

Manzara isterseniz öyle bişey yok ama doğal ve sesziz temiz keyifli ortam ve odaları var.Ne aradığınıza bağlı taş mekanda ayrı bir doğal hava vardı.

It is a family run business, and Fatma and her family made us felt like we were family visiting, very genuine and warm. Also helped with the shuttle and day tours.

Our stay was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The room was gorgeous, decorated with Turkish household items giving the room a very authentic feel. The staff were welcoming and friendly, making us feel very at home. The highlight of our stay was the delicious breakfast. We were given a table full of a number of different meats and cheeses, fruits, jams, butter, olives, breads, omelette, borek...it was the most amazing breakfast we had in Turkey. The staff helped us organise taxis, airport transfers and even ensured we were up and ready for our hot air balloon experience. We can't wait to return!

Accueil super chaleureux. Fatma et Bechir sont top ! Tres aidant. La suite était juste sublime en plein dans la vallée d'Ortahisar. Magnifique Cave authentique. La chambre est très jolie magnifique déco. La salle de bain est à tomber. Sans parler du jacuzzi. Super séjour. Je recommande à tout le monde d'y séjourner. Le petit-déjeuner est mortel !!!! Tout est bon !

My family stayed here and absolutely LOVED it!! The owners are a family, and they are so friendly and enjoy getting to know each of their guests. The hotel is unique and authentic with comfortable and large clean rooms! The breakfast is also delicious with much of the food homemade from the family’s garden in their kitchen. Overall, we recommend this hotel to all of our friends wanting to visit the area.

Hotel is amazing. No surprise when Hasan said it took years to renovate. Fatma and her siblings are great hosts with a wealth of knowledge about surrounding areas and even had us over for home cooked dinner one eve. Freezing outside - have no fear as caves are warm and toasty. Room and views outside are both spectacular. Highly recommend this unique hide away and will stay there again in a different season next time.
