Clean rooms with a nice view sitting outside the room. Well stocked fridge which you only paid the cost price for. The safari was well organised -- we saw a leopard.

The dinner was a bit too mild would have liked a spicier option.

Bij aankomst met de tuktuk werden we vriendelijk ontvangen en meteen geholpen met onze bagage. De kamer zag er netjes en verzorgd uit en de bedden waren voorzien van klamboes, wat erg prettig was. Er was ook een gevulde minibar aanwezig voor wie daar gebruik van wil maken. De ligging is ideaal als je voor een safari in Wilpattu komt. Naast het hotel zit eventueel nog een restaurant, maar het hotel biedt zelf ook iedere avond dineroptie aan voor ongeveer 7 dollar per persoon. Het ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid. We konden zelfs nog wat ontbijt laten inpakken om mee te nemen, wat erg attent was. Ook de communicatie vooraf via WhatsApp verliep uitstekend. We kregen zelfs nog handige tips voor onze volgende bestemming, wat we erg konden waarderen.

Een klein verbeterpunt is de badkamer. Vooral de douchebak kan wat aandacht gebruiken; opnieuw kitten zou hier geen overbodige luxe zijn.

Ne prenez pas le chalet ! Vous êtes à côté de l'accueil et du lieu de restauration, avec de la musique forte, la table du logement qui sert pour le service du repas, pas d'intimité et de calme. Privilégiez les chambres du bâtiment adjacent.

Situé très proche du parc national . Présence d’un frigo qui permet de garder des boissons fraîches.

Was a good place to stay for a safari. Dylan was great and organised our safari for us. Food was very good value. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff and perfect location for Wilpattu National Park. Room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel provided a cake and sang for my sons’s birthday which was very memorable!

We had a fantastic stay! The service was excellent, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everything was very clean, the breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the peaceful location surrounded by beautiful rice fields was perfect for relaxing. A special thank you to Dylan, who is an amazing host. He is so kind, helpful, and always makes sure his guests feel welcome. We would definitely stay here again!

Dylan the owner went above and beyond to please us on our overnight stay. He last minute organised our adventurous afternoon safari, filled out bellies before we left and refreshed us with cold beer on our return, took tables and chairs outside so could dine under the stars (and stringed fairy lights), provided a clean room with comfortable beds, breakfast at the table right outside our room overlooking the oh-so-green rice paddy fields in the morning and an affordable private driver for our onwards journey that patiently waited for us at multiple sites. What more could one hope for? It is representative of kind and resourceful people doing their best amidst global pressures totally unrelated to them

I can't think of a thing to complain about

Er heerst een fijne sfeer hier. Het eten was heerlijk en er was ruime keuze. Onze safari was top geregeld, met een prima ontbijt, lunch, snacks en drinken. We hebben ook nog eens alle dieren gezien waar we op hoopten, al moet je daar natuurlijk wat geluk mee hebben. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en iedereen ontzorgt je volledig.

Alles, von der Kommunikation bis hin zum Zimmer war alles richtig toll! Dylan ist ein wahnsinnig engagierter junger Unternehmer, der sein Bestes gibt, um den Ansprüchen seiner Gäste gerecht zu werden und kommt allen Anfragen und Bitten nach. Wir haben uns toll betreut gefühlt und konnten die Safari vor Ort komplett genießen, weil wir die gesamte Organisation in seine Hände legen konnten. Auch das Essen war toll, die Zimmer sowieso, das Bett sehr bequem, alles tip-top sauber, wir haben es geliebt und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Dylan war außerdem so lieb und hat uns einen Fahrer vermittelt, welcher uns aus Colombo abgeholt hat und nach der Safari weiter transportiert hat. Hätte mir keinen schöneren Aufenthalt vorstellen können 😊

Gar nichts, höchstens dass das WLAN aufgrund der idyllisch gelegenen Lage Recht instabil ist, aber in der heutigen Welt ist es sowieso sehr angenehm, wenn man einmal nicht erreichbar ist.

Eten was voortreffelijk, host Dylan en personeel waren heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ligt midden tussen de prachtige velden met serene rust.

Excellent location, wonderful host, great food

We had a great stay at Green Saphire Resort. The host was super responsive over WhatsApp and organised a full day safari for us as part of a package. All meals were included and the safari was great making it good value. The room we stayed on was new, modern and comfortable with great views over the rice paddies. Dylan also helped organise a driver to take us to our next location including stops at Anuradhapura on the way.

Clean and great facilities and super friendly staff! Cheapest beer that was ice cold across our entire Sri Lanka trip. Safari was great and we loved the dinner and breakfast atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Für uns hat hier alles zu 100% gepasst. Die Lage ist perfekt - in wenigen Minuten ist man mit dem Jeep am Eingang zum Nationalpark. Unser Zimmer hatte sogar einen Balkon mit Blick über die Reisfelder hinter dem Hotel. Nachts absolute Ruhe. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Das Essen war super lecker. Als Vegetarier fanden wir es angenehm, dass Fleisch separat gereicht wurde. Wir haben das Safari Paket per WhatsApp gebucht. Auch das lief reibungslos. Wir konnten alle groß beworbenen Tiere sehen. Wir hatten vor der Buchung einige negative Rezensionen gesehen und können diese absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Preis/Leistung 11/10. Wir würden immer wieder bei Dylan buchen.

You can not expect European standards in the Sri Lankan jungle - but what you can expect is a high smile, great food, a clean comfy bed and a clean bathroom. We were looked after very well and enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Be aware that the price for the package on booking is not the price you will pay for this package - as mentioned by many people over the last 2 years. The communication only really starts once you booked the room via booking. But then the Manager is available all the time for any - even small- query. The price for the package 2 night, 2 breakfast 2 dinner and Safari is still reasonable even though not as cheap as advertised.

Dylan did a fantastic job of organizing a stress free trip to Wilpattu. We stayed for 2 night and all food was included and juice/water. The dinners were incredible so big compliments to the chef!! Our safari guide was very knowledgeable and he was able to spot a bunch of animals that we wouldn't have seen ourselves. The park is beautiful and the accommodation has everything you need and is very comfortable. Would highly reccomend!! Go Dylan and the team 😊👌👌

The location it’s a 10 if you want to do a Safari in Wilpattu National Park. Our host Dylan was lovely and welcoming, ready to help us arrange everything we needed. Our rooms was large, clean and comfortable, the building is surrounded by rice fields and a lot of green, with the notice of birds and insects as background. And the food well, amazing is to say the less. Delicious, homemade and abundant. I highly recommend staying in Green Sapphire, our experience was a 10 out of 10.

This is not a complaint just a warning for other travelers. As everywhere is Sri Lanka there is dogs around, but they are lovely and well behaved, specially for being stray dogs. They are just hungry and want love.

Goeie package deal! Voor 200€ kan je met 2 personen slapen, eten en op private safari! Mensen zijn heel vriendelijk! Prijs is geupdate wegens hogere kosten en belastingen, maar nog steeds hele goeie deal!

Die Unterkunft war toll, wir hatten zwei große und saubere Zimmer mit allem was man braucht! Das Essen war super lecker und wurde jedes Mal frisch zubereitet und direkt vor unserem Zimmer serviert. Dylan und sein Team waren super nett und hilfsbereit! Wir haben die organisierte Safari geliebt! Alles hat perfekt funktioniert. Wir würden jeder Zeit wieder kommen!

Nous avons passé 2 nuits chez Dylan, au milieu de la nature Sri Lankaise. Dylan est serviable et aux petits soins pour répondre à nos attentes. Nous avons pris la formule avec repas et safari, nous avons adoré ! Les repas étaient délicieux et nous avons profité d'une journée fantastique dans le parc national. La chambre était très propre, grande, avec l'air conditionné. Nous avions également une petite terrasse. Très bon rapport qualité prix à nos yeux !

The food was plentiful and tasty and Dylan and his team were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The included safari was excellent and a great deal. We had a very nice safari with the organisation of Dylan. The driver and spotter, Dylum, was very knowledgeble and he did every effort to make the safari succesfull. De safari was goed verzorgd, daar kom je ten slotte voor naar Wilpattu. Locatie is dicht bij een ingang van het National Park. De kamer was schoon en voorzien van klamboes, minibar was goed gevuld.

Er zijn eigenlijk geen faciliteiten, geen gemeenschappelijke ruimte, geen zwembad niks. Voorafgaand en na de safari is er dus geen klap te doen, dat misten wij als gezin met jonge kinderen wel. De locatie is ook vrij afgelegen. Je kan buiten de kamers zitten mits je je goed insmeert met insectenspray. Helaas kwamen er ook steeds zwerfhonden op ons terras liggen zodra we daar gingen zitten. De honden vinden dat gezellig, wij niet zo. Een hond was loops wat voor een bloederige en onhygiënische situatie zorgde. Behalve de manager is er geen engels sprekend personeel om je ergens mee te helpen.

It is not a 4* hotel for European standards. We wouldn't give it more than 2* actually. So don't expect much from the room. But the location is close to Wilpattu, so this is nice. We also did a safari organized by the property and it was ok. The food is ok

We had a great stay at Green Sapphire. The room was spacious and had good AC and we enjoyed looking out over the rice paddies from our terrace. We also liked meeting other travellers at dinner and had a great safari day also organised by Dylan.

We didn’t love the safari breakfast but it’s hard to do a good breakfast to take out with you! There was a good amount of food though.

Mooie grote, schoone kamers, met uitzicht op de rijstvelden en heel dicht bij de ingang van het natuurpark Wilpattu. De douches werkten ook prima. Het personeel was bijzonder aardig en het diner was erg lekker. Tijdens de safari’s hebben we o.a. 2 lippenberen, 2 luipaarden en een olifant gezien.

De eigenaar is in stilte aanwezig maar communiceert alles overzichtelijk en gedetailleerd via WhatsApp. Safari goed geregeld. Het leuke aan deze plek is dat er veel sociale interactie is met andere reizigers over.a. door gedeelde safari, samen eten, etc...

Hetzelfde als overal. Alleen slechte oploskoffie. Hoeft geen fancy Italiaanse espresso te zijn, maar een kan opgegoten koffie ´s ochtends zou een meerwaarde zijn.

We had a great stay in Wilpattu! Dylan and his team went above and beyond to help us out. We arrived early but our room was all ready and they also organised lunch for us. We had some dietary requirements which were no problem. The safari package was very good value - we saw elephant, leopard, water buffalo, mongoose, monkeys and more! Dylan also arranged a driver for us to our next destination for a very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone looking to do a safari in Wilpattu

Es wurde rundum alles organisiert. Wir durften ankommen und am Abend ein herforragendes Essen essen. Am nächsten Mirgen früh starteten wir zur ganz Tagessafari und kamen am Abend wiederum zu einem super leckerem Essen zurück. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und wir hatten alles was wir brauchen.

The location and view is amazing. The owner is really nice and helpful too and the safari was amazing too. We saw so many animals and everything was arranged great. The food included was very good too.

The shower was quite disappointing, especially after wanting to shower after a safari with lots of sand and dirt blown into your face. Our room was the oldest, which showed, but wasn't a problem. Everything was still OK. Pillows could be thicker or 1 more would be nice if provided (we didn't ask for another one though).

Dit verblijf was echt fantastisch! Super mooie omgeving en hele lieve mensen. Dylan was de hoofdgast en hij was zo vriendelijk en alles was tot in de puntjes georganiseerd. We kregen een geweldig ontbijtje en het avondeten was ook echt heel lekker! De safari werd voor ons geregeld en we kregen een trommeltje mee met genoeg eten voor de hele dag. De kamer was super schoon, bedden waren goed & het was niet gehorig. We werden heel warm ontvangen en hebben dit verblijf als geweldig ervaren. Echt een tip!! Ga er heen.

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is goed. De locatie is dicht bij het park. Vriendelijke personeel. We hebben meegegeten twee avonden en dat was goed.

Beautiful location very close to the national park entrance. Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, Dylan could not have been more helpful prior and during our stay. We had an included dinner which was lovely food, breakfast was also good. The safari provided by Dylan was also brilliant and our driver managed to help us see all the major animals in the park plus an array of smaller animals we never expected to see. The value for money at this place is incredible and Dylan was very open and honest about his pricing.

We stayed one night before our Wilpattu safari and couldn't have been better looked after. What stood out: Dylan (the manager) was incredibly helpful - gave us detailed advice on safari options, pricing, and what to expect. His local knowledge was invaluable Clean, comfortable room with good amenities Delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan meal served family-style, which gave us a chance to meet other travelers Arranged our onward transfer with a reliable local driver at a fair price. We only had time for a half-day safari, but Dylan's recommendations were spot-on. If you have more time, take his advice and book the full-day option. Perfect for: Anyone doing Wilpattu National Park who wants authentic hospitality, good food, and expert local guidance without the markup of bigger safari lodges. Great value and genuinely helpful hosts. Highly recommend

This is my 2nd stay in Wilpattu but my first time at this resort. I can say hands down that this was the best. Dylan is the perfect host. He is there if you need him but not in your way. The deal with the room and safari was an amazing price and it includes food. The food was amazing. There were many different things put out for breakfast and dinner and on the safari we were provided with a feast of food and drinks to last us the day. It rained one night so Dylan set up dinner for us right outside of our room door so we didn't have to step foot in the rain which was very kind ans thoughtful. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. I hope to return to Wilpattu again befire I leave Sri Lanka to do another Safari and I won't book with anyone else now I have experienced Dylans hospitality.

Ruhige Lage, saubere einfache Zimmer und ein super. Gesamtpaket. Bucht unbedingt die Jeep Safari "Go with Dylan". Wir hatten eine suoer Zeit und können es wärmstens empfehlen! Das gemeinsame Essen am morgen und abend hat sehr geschmeckt und hat alle Reisenden (ca. 12 Leute pro Nacht) zusammen gebracht:)

Staff was super friendly and very helpful. The place is located very close to the entrance of the Wilpatu National Park. Dylan and the guys will help you along and take you to an amazing safari in Wilpatu. One of the cheapest deals you can find in this area. The food provided was also very tasty!

El hotel se encuentra muy cerca de la entrada para el safari del parque natural de Wilpattu. Las instalaciones son más que correctas para pasar la noche. Tienen una terraza muy chula donde se puede cenar o pasar el rato. Nos prepararon el desayuno para llevar ya que realizamos el safari a primera hora.

La comunicación con el hotel vía booking ha sido mejorable, ya que no nos contestaron hasta el día antes de llegar a ciertas dudas que teníamos. La cena algo cara para lo que fué (en comparación con otros hoteles). Cenamos un Kottu y arroz frito con verduras por unos 6 euros por persona, postre (yogurt) y agua embotellada incluidos.

Ontzettend vriendelijk en lief personeel. De kamer is super groot en schoon. Je kunt bij ze een safari tour doen. Dat was ook ontzettend leuk en goed geregeld. We hebben alle soorten dieren gezien en ook de luipaard. Zeker een aanrader om hier te verblijven als je een safari wil doen. Ze hebben ook een restaurant met heerlijk eten. Hierdoor hoef je de deur niet uit. Heel prettig. Echt een aanrader.
