The room was lovely and so clean, but the staff were exceptional. They were so accommodating when we arrived a bit later than expected, arranged to delay our Safari slightly and made us lunch at short notice! They were so super kind. Excellent value for money. We loved staying in the villa with a private splash pool, which was perfect after a 6 hour safari in blistering heat. Sunja and Rosie were kind, friendly hosts, who went out of their way to meet our needs, from arranging our safari to cooking delicious meals.

Rosi en haar man zijn ongelofelijk vriendelijk. Ze helpen je graag verder en de gastvrijheid zit er zeker in. De bedden lagen lekker!

Helaas viel de stroom meerdere keren uit waardoor het erg warm werd in de kamer. In het kleine keukentje staat een koelkast maar deze zit vol met schimmel.

I had an excellent stay at life of leisure. The room was spacious, very clean and with modern facilities. The food was great and the service of Manju and the owners was amazing. Overall the value for money was impressive.

The property is conveniently located just a few minutes from the entrance to the park. It is a small, family-run place with only a few rooms, which makes the atmosphere particularly welcoming and personal. The owners were incredibly kind, friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Our triple room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a lovely little terrace outside where we could relax. We also had dinner at the property and the food was excellent, as was the breakfast. From the warm welcome to the cleanliness of the room and the quality of the meals, everything was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed two days, it was wonderful. We booked a full day Wilpatu safari at the reception, we went with a very friendly guide and a experienced driver and we saw the leopard. It was truly amazing, we definitely recommend. The breakfast and dinner are all made fresh. Thank you to Rosie and her husband for being so kind and their amazing hospitality.

Świetna lokalizacja bardzo blisko parku narodowego. Spore pokoje, wygodne łóżko i dobrze działająca klimatyzacja. Bardzo sympatyczna i uczynna obsługa. Na miejscu restauracja, gdzie serwowane są śniadania i można też zjeść ciepły obiad, My skorzystaliśmy dodatkowo z całodziennego safari organizowanego przez hotel i dostaliśmy super fajnego kierowcę z jeepem oraz naprawdę biegłego w temacie fauny Wilpattu przewodnika, który był turbo dobrze przygotowany do swojej roli. Serdecznie polecamy to miejsce !

W zasadzie wszystko mi się podobało, jeden punkcik odejmuję za mrówki w łazience (choć to hotel wśród dzikiej przyrody więc pewnie trudno coś na to poradzić) oraz za nie najlepiej przygotowane mięsa z grilla (przypalone i twarde), ale inne bardziej lokalne dania były bardzo smaczne

Voortreffelijke locatie met uitzicht over de rijstvelden. Heel vriendelijke eigenaar die samen met zijn vrouw ook nog een klein restaurant heeft waar je heerlijk kan eten en waar het ontbijt is. Op verzoek werd een lunchpakketje voor onze safari precies op tijd gebracht.

In einem Garten mit Vogelgesang und Schmetterlingen, großer Terrasse, alles neu, sauber und geschmackvoll designed. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist besser als auf den Bildern. Unglaublich hilfsbereites Personal egal Manager-Mann und Frau oder Personal , absolut hilfsbereit ohne Aufdringlichkeit mit sehr gutem Englisch, zudem absolut zuverlässig. Sie hatten Safari organisiert mit pünktlichem Start. Auch das Essen war zur vereinbarten Zeit fertig, genauso wie vereinbart. Das Restaurant: absolut hervorragend: wir hatten verschiedene Sonderwünsche, die ohne weiteres umgesetzt wurden. Unsere Erwartungen wurden sowohl von Qualität, Auswahl und Menge übertroffen. Ihr müsst das Barbecue-Dinner probieren! Wir gingen dorthin essen, obwohl wir kein Zimmer mehr in der 2. Nacht dort hatten. Das gemischte Gemüse solltet ihr bestellen, wenn ihr auch Gemüse-Fans seid. Und der Kaffee Morgens schmeckt richtig gut! Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt sehr. Selbst das Bezahlen ist super, egal ob Applepay, verschiedene Karten oder bar, sie sind auch dort sehr kundenorientiert. Nur die Anfahrt/Abfahrt muss klappen, da es etwas Abseits von der Hauptstraße ist- Pickme war bei uns nicht zuverlässig, dafür hatten wir Glück mit Über.

Logement neuf avec des matériaux et des équipements de qualité et aménagé avec goût. Les prestations sont d'excellente qualité. Le restaurant propose des menus avec de la cuisine locale délicieuse. La gentillesse des propriétaires et leur grand sens du service sont un plaisir. Le safari organisé avec les propriétaires dans le parc de Wilpattu où le chauffeur et le guide ont veillé avec sokn à nous faire découvrir toute la faune locale (léopard, crocodile, singes, éléphant...) et les très nombreux oiseaux. Moments inoubliables 🤩 Recommandé à 100%

Het huis was fantastisch! Wij hadden de familiekamer. Beneden was de keuken en woonkamer met toilet en douche, boven had je 2 tweepersoonsbedden met nog een badkamer met toilet en douche. Buiten was een klein maar fijn zwembad waarin je kon afkoelen. In de avond hebben we heerlijk gegeten van de bbq. De volgende ochtend hadden wij een safari voor een halve dag gekozen, een ervaring ansich! Al met al was het heerlijk, jammer dat wij maar 1 nachtje bleven. De familie die ons verwelkomde was heel aardig en super behulpzaam. Alle vragen die je hun stelde was nooit teveel! Bedankt voor de goede zorgen!

Fantastisch!!! Wij wisten niet wat we zagen. Gigantisch huis, wat een ruimte met uitzicht rijstenvelden. Vriendelijk ontvangen, ik zou hier niet over nadenken en gewoon boeken.

Nous avions eu de la difficulté à trouver l'emplacement et ils sont venus nous rejoindre à la route pour nous aider. Les repas étaient excellents et ils se sont assurés que nous manquions de rien. Ils se sont occupés de nous réserver un safari. De plus, la chambre était très propre.

Les propriétaires sont aux petits soins et le dîner délicieux, je recommande vivement !

Our stay was fantastic. The staff allowed the child to use the pool even though we lived in another house. A beautiful wild garden with numerous birds and animals that can be admired from the terrace. Manju and his wife deserve special thanks, who made us a culinary feast for every breakfast and dinner. The bbq grill was excellent, we were not able to eat such large portions. When checking out, he escorted me to the car with an umbrella when it was raining. The room and bathroom are perfectly clean, equipped with all the necessary elements to feel comfortable.

We stayed two nights at the beginning of our trip and absolutely loved the villa. Having a spacious house over two floors was fantastic, and the private dipping pool was an absolute treat after a hot day out. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive. They provide breakfast, and you can request lunch or dinner for an additional fee. You must have dinner here at least once! It was amazing, so tasty, and an absolute feast. It’s freshly cooked by the host and served right in your villa. Lovely people—thank you so much! Highly recommend.

Niezwykle udany pobyt. Na żywo pokój wygląda jeszcze lepiej niż na zdjęciach. Jakość tego noclegu bardzo nas pozytywnie zaskoczyła. Zatrzymaliśmy się w Willi typu Standard i było naprawdę super. Wnętrze jest świetnie urządzone, z dobrze działającą klimatyzacją oraz dużymi przeszkleniami, które w razie potrzeby można łatwo zasłonić, zapewniając sobie pełną prywatność. W pokoju znajdowała się lodówka, a gospodarz zadbał o dostęp do wody oraz pyszne jedzenie. Dodatkowo pomógł nam zorganizować safari. Bardzo polecam!

Spotlessly Clean good air conditioning and fans good WiFi and comfortable beds. Tip get your driver to stop in a shop to pick up snacks etc. before you arrive. They can provide traditional dinner. Perfect for an overnight stay for safari. Loads of room kids loved the little pool. We would stay again no problem.

Alles wat al eerder geschreven is klopt. Niks op toe te voegen! Je komt er voor de safari, die hebben wij gedaan, fullday en we hebben alle dieren gezien die je maar kan tegenkomen daar. De eerste dag hebben we gewandeld vanaf het huisje, mooie wandeling en iedereen zegt je gedag, hondjes lopen gezellig met je mee. We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad.

Op de kamer wat lastig om je spullen kwijt te kunnen, wat rekjes/haken en nog een kofferbankje zou handig zijn. Het bed vonden wij hard maar dat is een persoonlijke kwestie.

We had a happy stay at Life of leisure. Rooms are great with provided shampoo, shower gel..good hot water. From the porch of the room we enjoy the view in front of a small garden, we found some colourful birds in the morning.. quite relaxing. We ate dinner here, which was tasty, they arranged safari, taxi for us. Everything goes smoothly, their support exceed our expectation, Manju and especially the owner of the house. She's so kind and caring, she even helped me shipping my stuffs that I forgot back to my home country. I truly appreciate their hospitality.

There are mosquitos and some ants, insects around but it's normal when we chose to stay near the forest, among the nature. So this is even considered a positive point if wild nature is what you're looking for.

The staff were great - Manju made us feel at home. The outside deck and pool were amazing on a hot day. And there was abundant wildlife, especially birds, around the villa. We woke up to a hornbill on the balcony and peacocks wandering around the ground!

Maybe include a few more books and board games for when it's raining and you can't go on safari or for a walk around the area.

Everything felt new. The shower and the bed were great, and we especially loved the porch where we enjoyed our dinners. The home-cooked meals prepared by the owners were delicious. The location is great for safari in Wilpattu, just 10 mins from the entrance. There are just two small things to keep in mind. First, there were some bugs in the room, although the room was very well sealed. This is unavoidable given the location in the middle of nature. Second, it would have been nice to have access to the swimming pool when you arrive early in the afternoon. However, it is reserved for the family villa, which was clearly communicated in advance.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad. De villa was ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Vooral de wasmachine was super handig—voor slechts 1000 LKR per wasbeurt ideaal tijdens een langere reis. De service was ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij, je voelt je hier echt welkom. We kozen voor de BBQ en dat was een schot in de roos: alles was vers en smaakvol, en toen het op was werd er gewoon extra bijgemaakt. Dat soort aandacht maakt echt het verschil. Ook fijn: de koelkast was bij aankomst al gevuld met koude drankjes—perfect Kortom, een ontspannen en verzorgd verblijf met topservice. Zeker een aanrader! 🌊✨

De ligging van de huisjes, lekker dichtbij het nationale park. Er werd ook super goed voor ons gezorgd door de host! En we mochten zelfs later uitchecken zonder extra kosten.

The lodge was spacious, clean and well equipped. What an amazing place to stay with the most perfect hosts a husband and wife team. So attentive to every need. Incredible Sri Lankan home cooked food, for breakfast lunch and dinner. Picnic breakfast and lunch for our day safari arranged by the property. A barbecue 😋 arranged and cooked for us after the safari. I would recommend this place to everyone..

De kamer is netjes en schoon. De badkamer is heel fijn, de douche is super comfortabel en word ook goed warm. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en helpt je bij alles. We verbleven hier 2 nachtjes en hebben hier ook 2 avonden gegeten. De familie kookt voor je en het smaakte allemaal erg lekker en uitgebreid. Ontbijt was ook prima. Ik beveel deze accommodatie zeker aan!

Als ik dan iets moet opmerken zou het zijn dat de kamer iets sfeervoller mag, wat meer aankleding.

Manju and his wife Rosie went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. The food was really amazing and they helped with getting a tuk tuk and taxi to our next destination at a fair price. We absolutely loved the safari organized through them as well; our driver Milinda tried to position the jeep in the best spots and we were able to see a leopard, a sloth bear and tons of other beautiful animals. Our guide Kaushika spoke English perfectly and his knowledge about wildlife kept our kids entertained for the full day. Great experience!

For me personally, the water in the plunge pool was too cold, but my kids didn’t seem to mind! The light buttons in the villa were a bit oddly placed. Otherwise: perfect stay.

De eigenaar is super behulpzaam, de safari werd door hen georganiseerd. Goed verzorgde locatie, je kan tegen betaling ook eten in het huisje, zeker een aanrader! Ze kunnen heel goed koken!

Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, hebben veel geregeld qua vervoer en de safari. Locatie is goed voor een bezoek aan Wilpattu National Park, 10 minuten naar de ingang van het park. Diner was lekker, gekookt door de vrouw van het vriendelijk personeel. Het familie verblijf was heel ruim met een mooi zwembadje, erg fijn! Zeer aan te bevelen voor de combinatie met een bezoek aan het park!

We came here straight from the airport because we had a safari planned for the next day. The place was comfortable and clean. Also the cooking of Rosie was amazing, we’ve enjoyed her delicious homemade Sri Lankan food for dinner. They even went to the butcher for halal chicken, thanks again Manju! We had our safari booked through this accommodation so everything was taken care of, driver, breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks.

The location is a bit off grid but if you plan on staying here for the safari than it’s perfect!

Munju, the manager,could not have been more helpful. He ensured we could get into the house when we arrived early. He also took us on a walk and pointed out an amazing array of birds to us. The meals his wife prepared and he delivered and set out for us were terrific,the best SL curry we have had so far.

We liked everything. Exceedingly well equipped villa and the plunge pool was the icing on the cake. Being so near the National Park you hada real safari experience.

Het verblijf is in februari 2025 opgeleverd en dat is te zien. Alles ziet er nog erg goed uit! We zijn erg gastvrij ontvangen en het eten was erg lekker! We hebben een halve dag safari geboekt en dat was ook top geregeld!

Logischerwijs zijn er buiten veel muggen en insecten. Tegen de muggen zorgt men voor wierook en dat hielp! Het weerhield ons er niet van om 's avonds buiten te zitten.

De villa met privé zwembad was fantastisch. Onze dochter vermaakte zich goed daarin, zelfs tijdens de regen in de middag. De ruimte in de villa was ook heerlijk! Net een echt huis. De gastheer was ronduit geweldig! Hij bracht ‘s avonds het vers gekookte eten in onze villa en ruimde daarna alles ook weer netjes op. Heerlijk gegeten voor 10dollar pp. De ochtend safari vonden wij persoonlijk een klein beetje tegenvallen. De Engelssprekende gids wist heel veel over de dieren maar verder vertelde hij niet veel uit zichzelf. Dat wij daarbij ook geen echte “grote” dieren zoals luipaarden of beren hadden gezien werkte ook niet mee.

Irgendwo am Ende der Welt liegt diese kleine, aber sehr schöne Unterkunft. Neu, gepflegt, sauber, Personal super freundlich und das Abendessen war mega.

Mooie en nette kamers. Goede service en lekker eten (we hebben 2x ontbijt, 1x diner en 1x lunch gegeten). De gastvrouw stemde van te voren het menu af. Ze hebben voor ons een prima safari geregeld.

Top plek om die dag erna een safari te gaan doen. Personeel is vriendelijk en we hebben lekker avond gegeten.

Het bed is erg hard en je hebt er andere soort stekkers waardoor we niks konden opladen.

The host was very friendly and helpful. We recommend eating the meals from the host, as they are tasty and generous servings. Breakfast was also tasty and generous. The house was huge, lots of space especially with children and 2 bathrooms. There was a lovely plunge pool (although it was too cold for us to swim), the setting is lovely, we saw lots of birds and nature out the window. Short 10min drive to the entrance of the NP.

The bathroom was a little old and outdated, but clean enough. The pool could be heated so it could be used on colder days.

Breakfast was basic continental and did not have much options. The caretakers were very good and it was on time. Location was good for us as it was not too far from Wilpattu national park.

We had another family staying at another hotel near by(they booked the other one since this did not have any vacancies when they booked) and after a long day at the park we wanted to have some dinner together at our place. But this request was rejected and we went to our friends accommodation and had dinner since those hosts allowed it. Also the room was nice but very small so it was cramped and not much room.

There are 3 apartments at the property, we had the one with the freshwater jacuzzi/plunge pool which is very modern and spacious, it has lovely views across the rice paddies. Helpful manager organised a great Safari for us and the food was excellent. Takes card payment

Rosie and Manju were amazing hosts and bent over backwards to look after our needs. The food was delicious. The accommodation is large and comfortable.

L'emplacement est top , a deux minutes du parc Wilpattu. Un petit lodge familial super sympa , propre , joli, avec un point d excellence pour le repas quil est possible de prendre a l hotel . Cuisine typique au top . Je recommande cet hôtel.

Perfecte locatie om te combineren met een bezoek aan Wilpattu. Super lieve mensen die continu klaar staan om je te helpen en het eten is echt heerlijk! Kamer is groot en schoon. Badkamer is super! De broer van de accommodatie beheerder heeft de safari verzorgt en dit was geweldig. Echt een aanrader om te verblijven.

Sehr sauberes Appartement in ruhiger Lage. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Unterkunft ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für eine Safari im Wilpattu-Nationalpark. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Würde jederzeit wieder buchen.

De beste huisgemaakte maaltijd van onze reis! Hoewel verzocht werd of we hetzelfde gerecht wilden kiezen en er dus niet geheel vrije keuze was, was het van ongekend goede kwaliteit. Er werd goed rekening gehouden met dieetwensen.  Ideale plek om vanaf hier je safari te doen. Via de accommodatie werden ook Safaris aangeboden. Dat was een goede ervaring tegen een redelijke prijs.  Het huis was schoon en er stond een waterkoker met thee en oploskoffie. Veel meer dan Safaris is er niet te doen in de buurt.

Het personeel was super lief en kookte echt heel goed. De accomodatie was erg mooi! Ook mooi afgewerkt. Je kan zien dat er veel liefde in de accomodaties worden gestopt. Dankjewel voor alles lieve familie!

We vonden de prijs van het avondeten $20 wat aan de hoge kant in vergelijking met de restaurants in de buurt waar je een heel buffet voor 2.000 rs kan halen. Wel was het echt goed eten!

Truly amazing and luxureous accommodation, very close to Wilpattu NP entrance. The villa had everything we needed and more. Very spaceous with comfortable beds. The water in the kitchen and bathrooms comes from a purification plant at the house itself. Washingmachine was helpfull and the full day safari was well arranged with a nice guide and lovely breakfast/lunch. Though the private pool was truly inviting, we didn't use it because of very bad weather. Therefor we enjoyed the beds upstairs to the max, reading and relaxing by listening to the sound of the rain on the roof. Was nice...making the best of it. Absolute highlight was Manju, the caretaker and his lovely wife. They not only prepared the nicest meals for us, but also were so caring and thoughtful. Nothing was too much for Manju, helping out where he could and making 100% sure we had everything we needed. Thank you! Kind gesture of the owner to offer us an extra night to stay, because of some floodings in the area. Because of the cyclone some roads were closed and we almost weren't able to leave (which we did anyway, arriving safe in Habarana). We wholeheartedly recommend Life of Leisure!

The weather, but that's nobody's fault. Mother Nature does as she pleases...

Ich hatte einen tollen Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer und Bad sind sehr modern, sauber und gemütlich. Die Dusche hat Warmwasser und einen guten Wasserdruck und das WC entspricht unserem Standard :) Durch eine große Fensterfront sieht man vom Bett aus in den Garten. Das Frühstück und auf Wunsch auch Lunch/Abendessen werden auf der Terrasse serviert. Rosi kocht wunderbar. Rosi und ihr Mann Manju sind tolle Gastgeber ♡ Auch die Jeep-Safari in den Wilpattu NP habe ich über sie gebucht. Manjus Bruder war der Fahrer/Guide. Er war sehr bemüht einen Leoparden zu finden und konnte mir viele andere Tiere zeigen. Er fährt sehr rücksichtsvoll und gibt den Tieren ihren Raum.
