The late check out process. Mismanaged. Rain previous day washed out our day at the park and returned the next day. Late check out 3 pm or even 4 pm for returning guest

It’s a fairly new hotel, and yet a lot of the facilities and furniture were beat up.

The toilet seat was always stuck. Can’t find light switches. The coffee creamer choice is terrible for such an expensive hotel. The in the room coffee creamer choice. One tissue dispenser. I sneezed the whole time. The ultimate compliment. The tv does not face the bed and is ridiculous. I want to lay in bed watching tv. It should have a tv mount that allows you to watch at any angle. Not putting the hotel down. Every thing is over all great.

The front desk staff was amazing. Friendliest employees I've ever encountered. Quick to address us as we entered the building, eager to assist at any time, and just all around nice.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect. The view of the lake, just wow. My husband hit the gym in the mornings and I was able to do laundry after a trip to Legoland. The breakfast was top notch. I have 2 little kids and the staff loved them! 5 stars all around.

Hotel is beautiful, staff has great customer service. Everyone was welcoming and super helpful. Will definitely be staying here again when in the area.

The only concern I have is that the couch in my room was ripped. I believe it should be replaced, as everything is expected to be in good condition.

I had an allergic reaction to something in the hotel, it could have been the detergent, but I don't know. It was a minor medical emergency (that could have turned into something more serious) and the staff did nothing to assist me beyond telling me that I could walk to publix at night along a busy street to get some medication. As a woman staying alone and dealing with the situation, the "I'm sorry you are having a reaction" was an inadequate and unacceptable response.

The hotel needs some maintenance. Cracked floor tiles, notable chips on the doors, etc. Somewhat difficult to isolate light at night. It comes from the window and from under the entry door, from LEDs across the room. Makes sleep a bit difficult, so be sure to bring your sleep mask.

We had a great stay , very clean and comfortable, definitely would stay here again! Only thing I felt could improve is the fridge situation.

I have stayed here before, and had a wonderful experience! This time was no different. I was in town for a funeral and the peace at the Marriot made a very difficult weekend so much better. Also the breakfast was wonderful! Will be back.

It was pricey but well worth the cost. The rooms were absolutely the best, the bathrooms wonderful and the breakfast- fabulous!!!

Positives: Great place to stay for a quick trip! Clean, nice amenities. The Bistro employees were wonderful and the food was delicious. Cons: The air conditioner in the rooms are outdated units that seem to be motion activated? I would wake up hot in the middle of the night and have to turn the unit on. Same during the day if you’re out of the room for a period of time.

We checked into this hotel on a recent trip. Our room was quite nice, clean and it was quiet too. Breakfast is not included in the room price but you can purchase it. The view from the room was nice and overlooked the lake. My only negative observation was that there was trash along the shoreline that detracted from the view. Someone should go out and clean it up.

We arrived early and went to the front desk to see about storing our luggage. There were two friendly faces at the desk and they asked for our last name. After telling them, they asked if we'd like to get into our rooms early - the rooms were ready! What a wonderful surprise! These two ladies were the friendliest people we met at the desk. The gals working breakfast were very sweet, as well. This was an excellent Marriott! Highly recommend.

We have been staying here once a year since it opened . This little hotel punches way above its weight and acts like a Westin ! The staff are amazing and the little bistro while small prepares beautiful fresh food . Breakfast with avocado on toast is the best you will get . The rooms are generous and always super well cleaned as the cleaning staff are amazing . Gym is super big and well setup for a Courtyard and the pool is a nice size and very clean with a nice outdoor area and an open fire . I rate this hotel as good as a Westin ! Bistro; Aralinda, Alisa, Dawn, Eva, Katelyn, Kevin, Jennifer, Winona. Front desk; Ashley, Tishann, Dawn, Malaejah, Jaicika. The cleaning team boss of Mimi and Myrna run this hotel with hospital grade cleaning !

The staff were great, the food at the bistro was good. The view was beautiful. Loved eating by the fire pit.

The view was beautiful, but the lake did need cleaning along the edge of the water. Had to crop my pictures so the trash didn’t show.

What a lovely hotel! The staff were very friendly and customer-focused. The hotel was spotless, and we were delighted with our stay. I felt appreciated as a Marriott Bonvoy member. When in the Winter Haven area, we will definitely stay at this lovely property again.

We stayed and walked to Legoland. The hotel was clean and the property was immaculate. When we arrived, we were informed that the water would be shut off from 10-4 the next day. We would have appreciated a heads up prior to arriving. We felt a little rushed to leave as a result. Front desk staff was super friendly. The cafe workers gave us a bit of a hassle but made up for it with great service on the back end.

Luke was AMAZING. There was an issue with my check in and he handled himself with grace and charm. He was the sweetest thing ever and went above and beyond for me. Even when my husband was not being the easiest to deal with. He is the best ever!!!!

Staff were extremely accommodating. We left my kiddos lovie and they did everything to get it back to us!

Heated pool was advertised (84 degrees), and a large part of why we chose the hotel - pool was decidedly not heated (in 70s) and unpleasant. Rooms smelled. TV remote not functional Limited eating/drinking options in the afternoon.

Super Clean, and very restful. Staff was amazing. They went out of their way to book us a room after a delayed cruise. Luke is on staff and was incredibly helpful and kind in making our stay great!!! Amy at the Tampa marriott water st. spent 45 minutes calling all of the area hotels to find the nearest location to Tampa. Everything was booked because of a hurricane, but she located the Marriott Winter Haven and the stay was excellent. We are very thankful to have encountered Luke and Amy with Marriott Hotels.

Only one person attending at the front desk. Asked for toiletries and didn’t have anybody to send them to my room. Mattress very hard and very uncomfortable, it also smelled of humidity.

The room was clean and quiet. Our bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. It was very close to Legoland for those visiting the park. Although we were just passing through to Wachula. The shower needed a little work as it had a leak that caused it to spray the ceiling while showering. But it had plenty of pressure and other than that, it was fine.

I'd rate the hotel 10 stars, based on the staff alone. I was forced to make an unplanned detour while on vacation in Florida, due to mandatory evacuations. I randomly chose Winter Haven as far enough inland for safety. The staff was so welcoming, very pleasant and professional. Based on how busy the hotel was while I was there, I am sure they experienced an influx of guests in my same situation, but handled the influx with grace and professionalism. Front Desk staff was there to answer my questions about the area - offering dining suggestions etc. Tishann, Ellie and the younger gentleman (whose name I can't recall) in particular were particularly gracious. The staff at the Bistro were very nice. Housekeeping were among the most pleasant I have encountered in my travels, always saying hi with a smile as you walk by. The hotel grounds and room were very clean. The Bistro served coffee, good breakfast and dinner food in an inviting environment. There is a small pool which overlooks a man-made lake. I did not get a chance to use this due to the weather. Location is very convenient to a number of restaurants, shopping and a Publix. I may never get back to Winter Haven, but if I do, this will be my choice of where to stay. Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the lake!
