Stoa Rooms

The position is literally at 30 secs from the port and the main roads in Chania. Lots of minimarkets close, too. The room was bigger than expected and quite clean, with cleaning being done every day and the bed redone everyday, too which we weren't expecting. Also the accomodation is in a very quite street and cozy space. Giannis was very responsive, too and we got 2 bottle of water welcoming us which is not to be taken for granted. Great air conditioning: although the room felt wamr at first it got fresh very easily thanks to the fan and the air conditioner.

The room in itself could use a bit of renovation as some parts of furniture are visibly consumed and the walls in some parts have some marks done probably by other guests. The bathroom is bigger than expected and we found it pretty clean although this is probably the part that needs a bit more improvement: the shower is a bit too small and with black parts and rusty areas in it. Also a bit of mould can be seen on the ceiling so maybe a better ventklation system could help. The room of the bathroom doesn't fully close as maybe it's a bit too old.

You can't beat the location of this room! It's just off the main square in Old Town Chania. 1-minute to any restaurant, shop, bar or place you would want to go. A further 5 minutes places you downtown, again with access to a major shopping/pedestrian area of Chania. The room is very clean and comfortable and not expensive. I stayed here twice on my last trip. If you have any problems, the staff are quick to hel you out.

The location is amazing, just a few steps of the old port. The room temperature was cold in a good way, it was quite hot outside.

We were expecting a way worse experience, because the photos are a bit depressing, but the room exceeded our expectations. We were concerned about our room having a window connecting to the property’s main entrance.

O Giannis é de uma simpatia extrema, sempre muito rápido a responder, e disponível para ajudar a toda a hora.

Alguns insectos, que são normais na zona, não é culpa do host, pode acontecer em qualquer lado.

Άξιζε μόνο για την τοποθεσία .

Υπήρχε σκόνη σε σημεια που ήθελα να ακουμπήσω τα ρούχα μου . η καθαρίστρια έκανε πάρα πολύ φασαρία το πρωί έξω από το παράθυρο μου όλες τις ημέρες , έπειτα από παρατήρηση την πρώτη μέρα .

Για μενα το πιο δροσερό δωματιο που εχω μεινει ποτε. Τα ατου του? Ανεμιστηρας οροφης και αφυγραντηρας!! Συμβάλλουν πολυ ωστε να υπαρχουν οι πιο καταλληλες θερμοκρασιες μεσα!!Το ντιβανι αψογο και επισης βολικο. Δεν βουλιαζεις και ειναι συγχρονο. Φοβερη τοποθεσια αν και δυστυχως ειχα εσωτερικο παραθυρο (το κλεινεις ευκολα δεν ειναι προβλημα). Τα αστικα για οσους δεν εχουν αμαξι και θελουν παραλιες ειναι δεκα λεπτα με τα ποδια. Ο ιδιοκτητης παντα διπλα στον πελατη ακομα και αν λειπει. Το room service αψογο με καθημερινη καθαριοτητα (προαιρετικα)

Τα δωματια ολα διπλα διπλα οποτε απο θεμα φασαριας θα πρεπει να την τηρουν ευλαβικα οι ενοικοι οπως τις ωρες κοινης ησυχιας. Η μουσικη απ τα κλαμπακια ακουγεται αλλα οχι πολυ. Η ντουζιερα αν και το μπανιο ειναι ομορφο εχει πορτες που δεν ανοιγουν πιο πολυ και ετσι ενας ανθρωπος με περαιτερω κιλα εχει δυσκολια στο να εξυπηρετηθει.

L'emplacement , on aurait pas pu trouver mieux , la chambre se trouve au coeur de chania à 1 min de la grande placette, tout était à coté de nous, resto , shops et arret de bus , la chambre se trouve aussi dans une petit ruelle donc pas de bruit, il n'y a pas de parking mais on a trouvé un free parking qui s'appelle Free Park and ride avec une navette gratuite electrique toutes les 20 min, chambre très bien équipée, personnels très réactifs

Le lit double est miniscule, à deux on a très mal dormi , un lit de 130 cm avec un petit draps , wifi catastrophique aucun des trois ne marchent bien

Everything was perfect! The apartment is in the city center, close to everything and not far from the beach. I highly recommend it!

Posizione perfetta in pieno centro ma lontano dal rumore, parcheggio gratuito a 10 minuti a piedi. Camera molto pulita, come anche il bagno.

Leggermente piccola la stanza dove ci si muove in maniera poco confortevole in due. Manca uno spazio corrente dove aprire una valigia senza disfarla completamente

Location was great

Kitchen lamp was dim. Kitchen utility draw has bugs. There was a big water bug in the shower. Coffee machine doesn't work. Could use some updates in bath/kitchens Bed was soft. There should be a sign that clearly says AC operates only when the glass window is fully shut and locked. If it has a gap as small as a 2mm gap, AC will not operate.

Centrally located and easy to access. Rooms were well equipped and maintained with everything you'd need for a short stay. Had a beautiful view from the balcony to see the water and overlook the centre. Would stay here again and would recommend!

Honestly, I chose Stoa Rooms for the price and the place in the city. We happened to realise that it was a very calm place just near the ancient harbour and the bright and shouting crowd. The material and furniture of the house, the patio that is a very good place to stay, all make you feel at home. And the fact that people of Stoa are not in the place all time enforce that feeling. The lady we saw each day, the care by mail of the boss is largely enough to make you feel confortable and carried in your needs or desire. We warmly recommend this place to stay.

The club nearby was very loud until 4-5 am.

Great location, safe neighbourhood, spacious and clean. A pleasant surprise was the espresso machine with coffee capsules included - something you don’t often find. It was a thoughtful touch. The host was also extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The only downside was that there is a nightclub and a lively nightlife area directly below the property. If you’re a light sleeper, you may find it difficult to get a good night’s sleep due to the noise.

Proximity to harbour was great. There is a couple of night clubs nearby for anyone interested and many shops and resturants. Beds were comfy.

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία στο κέντρο της παλιάς πόλης. Ούτε 5 λεπτά περπάτημα. Ο ιδιοκτήτης πολύ εξυπηρετικός έδωσε άμεσα οδηγίες για check in.

Ίσως να χρειάζεται μια μικρή ανακαίνιση στην επίπλωση των δωματίων.

Komfort, Ruhe und Internetqualität sind meiner Meinung nach schlecht.

L'emplacement est parfait. Lit double, et les informations apportées par les hôtes étaient correctes, la climatisation était la bienvenue!

Le parking était loin de la chambre plus de 10 min de marche, la chambre est pas très bien insonorisée, et le frigo fait du bruit la nuit.

L'emplacement (à côté du vieux port dans la vieille ville) est juste idéal ! L'arrivée autonome est facile et bien indiquée. La chambre est simple mais convient très bien, le rapport qualité prix est bon.

On entend pas mal le bruit/la musique de la ville, assez mal insonorisé. Mais peu gênant. La douche est un peu petite comparée à la taille de la salle de bain.

Le logement est propre, bien fourni et est très bien situé, à proximité du vieux port

Convenience to downtown, tea, water and coffee in the room with fridge, hot water heater, nice little balcony with chairs and partial sea view. Safe in the room.

Parking a problem, nothing else really.

Within the old town of Chania. Surrounded with restaurants and shops. Room is clean, has private toilet and shower, has kettle and fridge. Giannis is a very accommodating host. Highly recommend!

The location is superb, a little off to the side of the main waterfront area but not more than a minute walk away. The room was comfy, clean, well equipped with coffee (capsule machine with more capsules each day) and electric kettle. I slept here very well. Easy check in with a lock box, and very good, quick communication with the owner via messages.

The check in and communications were possible without ever actually needing to meet the host in person. This is not really a negative thing, as it is very efficient, but it is very anonymous, and a shame to not actually meet the host.

Hébergement très bien situé à La Canée près du port et proche de toutes commodités (petit supermarché, restaurants..). La chambre, propre et lumineuse, disposait d'une petite terrasse avec vue sur port et et mer qui est très agréable pour boire le café du matin (dosettes café fournies avec la chambre). Je recommande pour l'emplacement, le charme et la bonne communication avec l'hôte, très réactif aux messages.

Preț calitate in extrasezon foarte rentabil direct in centrul vechi langa Promenada.Foarte curat, cafea buna in fiecare zi iar paturi cu saltele nu tocmai noi însă confortabile cu lenjerie de calitate.Doamna de la curățenie foarte drăguță.

Nu are geam direct afara nici aerisire la baie iar aparatul de curățarea aerului foarte zgomotos pentru dormit. Dar si așa locația ultracentrala tentează in trecere prin acest oraș.

La posizione è eccezionale, a due passi dal porto. Il proprietario è estremamente disponibile, attento e pronto a rispondere a qualsiasi domanda o esigenza.

Il letto è un po' scomodo. Se fa freddo le coperte (non proprio pulite) scarseggiano; climatizzatore e stufetta riscaldano poco. L'angolo "cucina" non è molto attrezzato (ci sono un piccolo tavolo, un piccolo frigorifero, un bollitore). Il personale passa ogni mattina ma abbiamo dovuto chiedere noi di cambiare almeno il tappetino del bagno.

Its quite clean and the room was cleaned everyday. The location is great.

Πολύ όμορφο κατάλυμα στο κέντρο της παλιάς πόλης των Χανίων . Πολύ φιλόξενοι και βοηθητικοί οι ιδιοκτήτες και το προσωπικό . Κάθε μέρα υπήρχε περιποίηση του δωματίου και ανεφοδιασμός του . Θα το πρότεινα αναμφίβολα !

Logement au cœur de la ville qui permet un accès à pied. Hôte très accueillant, avec des instructions claires. Logement propre avec un service de nettoyage tous les jours.

Place de parking dans les rues payantes et parking à proximité tous payant..

It is cozy place in the center of the Old Town. The host is very attentive.

Mooi ingerichte gezellige kamer. Prima badkamer. Er stonden flesjes water in de koelkast, en er lagen snoepjes. Hele fijne extra attentie ! De ligging is perfect, zo dicht bij de haven, en toch heel rustig. Contact met eigenaar is perfect , alle info wordt zeer duidelijk gegeven en op een vraag komt meteen antwoord. Het is er heel leuk logeren.

Όλα ήταν υπέροχα. Η επικοινωνία με το κατάλυμα ήταν παρά πάνω από επαρκής, με ευγένεια κι ενδιαφέρον για εξυπηρέτηση. Η τοποθεσία δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι καλύτερη. Ελάχιστα μόνο μέτρα από το ενετικό λιμάνι, παρόλα αυτά ήταν πολύ ήσυχα. Το δωμάτιο πεντακάθαρο, πλήρως εξοπλισμένο με τα απαραίτητα. Συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα!!!

Cosy, quiet room just around the corner from the harbour.

We spent a week here from 19 September. The location was excellent. Ten minutes from the bus station .The room was large and spacious and kept very clean. The shower was hot and the bathroom was a good size. The accommodation is in a traditional building in the heart of old town which is where we like to be. We were a 2 minute walk to the Venetian harbour and A 10 minute walk to the East side of the harbour which has some of our favourite restaurants. The beach at Neo Chora is about 15 minutes away. Despite being central to everything the room is very quiet and any external noise does not disturb you in any way. We had the benefit of a small balcony and I was able to read my book , drink my coffee and enjoy the sound of people enjoying life. We have been to Chania a number of times and this type of accommodation never fails .

Stoa rooms was great even before I arrived with excellent communication. The location is in the centre of Chania but very peaceful. The room was equipped with a little fridge and kettle and spotlessly clean.

I did not like getting an email telling us how to access our room. I had not had any time all day to check my email so we waited for someone to show up. I finally called the number listed on a card there. That is when I learned I had an email with instructions.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, blisko do portu, a jednocześnie cicho. Dostęp do balkonu. Codzienne sprzątanie i wymiana ręczników, miłe dodatki w postaci butelek wody na powitanie i pożegnanie.

Brak kuchenki i możliwości samodzielnego gotowania.

Quite close to the harbour but tucked in a side street. It was every thing we needed for our day shopping in Chania old town prior to our late flight.Although we did not stay there overnight the room was clean with kettle and fridge. The bed was comfortable to sit on and the room offered us the convenience of toilet and shower. I liked the sweet welcoming cool cobbled courtyard entrance to the building with various potted plants.

I would have to say the outside seating area is very tight and not much of a view other than rooftops and air conditioning units . The rooms are in need of a refresh and the bathroom needs to be modernised

Only thing was that it was in Chania. But it was dingy and mosquito ridden. No daylight no window just like a laundry or storm cupboard.

No one to help us as room as awful. Noisy from staff cleaning and drills no early morning. Looked ok on line photos but genuinely horrid. My sister and I got bad bites there and my sister needed medication for the infected leg. I have photos of her bites and the horrid room. Fridge leaked into my case as it was open no wardrobe & nowhere to dry out my wet clothes. HELl!!

C’era molta polvere e addirittura uscivano le blatte dalla doccia.

The hotel was as close as possible to the Old Town but at the same time allowed for sightseeing in the modern town.

Nothing really. The staff weren't always on the premises but were readily connectable.

The location is the best ever. The host is very responsive and kind. I would recommend this apartment.
