Breakfast was absolutely awesome, served beautifully on the terrace with an out-of-this-world ocean view. There was a great variety of options to choose from, including cereals, fresh fruit, juices, tea, and coffee. The kitchen staff, room service team, and property owner, Snezana were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary extra special by arranging a beautiful personalised setup for us, which we truly appreciated. The ocean view from our room was second to none. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and absolutely spotless. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay with exceptional hospitality.

Gesicherte Umgebung. Tolles Haus mit Pool und Bar ganz oben. Sehr herzlicher Empfang und tolle Beratung. Das Zimmer was sehr groß, dass Bad auch. Wichtig zu wissen: Es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl, Gäste müssen Treppen bewältigen können. Parkplätze hat es genug.

The place is super clean, easily accessible to the town. The host and the ladies are very warm and welcoming. The pictures and the place is exactly as advertised. I had some of the best sleep I’d had in a long time.

What a pleasant experience having spent a night at this wonderful Guest House. It was a pity our work stay was so short, but I definitely intend calling on Snezana and her team again when I am next in Durban. It felt like a home away from home.

The location in a quiet area is key to appreciate the tranquillity offered as well as the sea view. The eating area deck had a splendid view of the surrounding leafy suburb and the sea. The host and her team were gracious and discreet, and it made us feel at home. This is way better than booking a hotel room and gave us more privacy. We got good advice from the staff about safety tips as we wanted to go for morning walks in the area.

To be honest, the weather could have been better. The monkeys which are fun to watch could be a nuisance if you leave doors unattended but it is part of nature and the local fauna. Our host made sure to warn us about our four hands guests as we checked in.

Brilliant accommodation, with breath taking sea views and super central for my requirements. The rooms are well equipped, super clean and very comfortable. The warm friendly staff made the check in and check out very convenient.

Early morning noise by staff, my second stay and again noisy staff, I had to get up early, but they need to be more courteous to guest wanting to sleep in.

Stunning property with amazing views and great facilities. Snezana and the Ocean Vista Team were welcoming and supportive as my wife fell ill, nothing to do with the guest house, and they helped with her recovery. A huge thank you from Charlotte and I!

My stay at Ocean Vista Boutique Guest House was simply perfect. Snezana, the owner, has created such a special place. From the moment you arrive, the gorgeous ocean view immediately captures you. The white interior is absolutely stunning — clean, calm, and beautifully done. As someone who loves white linen myself, I was completely sold. The crisp white towels and bedding made the whole space feel fresh, luxurious, and peaceful. Upstairs, the view of the ocean is breathtaking. It is the perfect place to sit, relax, and simply enjoy the sound of the sea. If it rains, it becomes even more magical — you can sit upstairs, pour yourself a glass of wine from the bar fridge using the honesty bar (which is such a fantastic idea), and just unwind while looking out at the ocean. The white exterior and interior colours make the whole place feel bright, elegant, and serene. What I loved most is how homely it feels. There is no intrusion at all — you truly feel at home. Snezana clearly cares deeply about her guests. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, the air conditioner is excellent, and even the small table outside the room on the balcony is perfectly positioned so you can sit with the ocean view. The level of care is incredible. At one point I thought Snezana was coming to speak to me about what I thought might have been my unacceptable behaviour — but instead she came to bring me more of the same wine I had been drinking because she noticed I liked it. There were other wines in the bar fridge that I could have tried, but she made sure I had the one I preferred. That kind of attention to detail says everything. Whenever I needed something, she was always helpful. She provided crockery and cutlery when I needed them in the room, and guests even have access to the kitchen beyond the breakfast service, which adds to the homely atmosphere. One evening there was even a wedding ceremony upstairs, yet I heard absolutely nothing. That shows how well designed and peaceful the space is.

The host is amazing, from the personal greeting and reception and working around my check-in schedule to the personal touches and details throughout my stay - simply amazing. The staff are super helpful and friendly and the service top notch. The most beautiful place to stay, comfortable, clean, beautiful and above all peaceful. And if you are looking for a hearty healthy breakfast then this is the place for you. I will never stay anywhere else and can't thank the owner enough for creating such a beautiful and exquisite stay. The staff went over and above, their service exceptional and so grateful. 20/10 rating for this venue!!!

I absolutely loved everything about my stay here. I had high expectations and they were very much exceeded. The owner Snezana is wonderful and was helpful in answering my questions even prior to me arriving in Durban. When I arrived, I was greeted with so much warmth & immediately felt right at home. My room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had the most beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was also lovely & the ladies who work there are absolutely amazing. Location is perfect, in a safe neighborhood & is within walking distance from Umhlanga Main Beach & various restaurants and a shopping centre. I will definitely stay at Ocean Vista when I visit Durban again.

Nachdem ich 2018 das erste Mal bei Snežana zu Besuch war, war es nun wieder soweit und es war genauso toll und schön wie damals. Wir waren leider verspätet, weil unsere Koffer nicht mitgekommen sind und die Prodezur am Flughafen länger gedauert hat, aber Snežana hat auf uns gewartet und am nächsten Tag noch liebevoll uns dabei unterstützt (am Ende haben wir die Koffer erhalten). Das Zimmer hatte eine schöne Aussicht auf das Meer und das Bett ist super bequem. Das Frühstück wird oben auf der Dachterasse eingenommen, mit Blick über die Bucht und das Meer. Absolut schön! Es können verschiedene warme Speisen bestellt werden. Abends kann man dort schön verweilen und den ein oder anderen Wein trinken. Zwei Tage später waren wir nochmal in der selben Unterkunft für die Rückreise. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland Snežana und vielen Dank für alles!

Beautiful views, particularly from the rooftop terrace. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Close to many lovely restaurants and beaches but just outside of the busy center of Umhlanga.
