Reviewed Jan 22, 2026One of the best hotels in Bagan Butterworth with a very strategic location.Two mosques are located on both sides of the hotel, and it is near the famous Nasi Kandar Bawah Pokok. I am very satisfied with my stay at Aikka Hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the interior design on every floor is beautiful with a calming vibe. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend this hotel. Reviewed Jan 11, 2025Great location for an overnight stay. It's a bit far from the main part of town but very convenient, being close to the train station and the jetty to George Town. The staff were excellent and handled my check-in issues efficiently.
The main downside was the cleanliness—it wasn't the best, particularly in the bathroom, which could use some improvement. It worked as a last-minute option for the night, but the location was difficult to find due to limited signage. Thankfully, I managed to locate it in the end, but I have to dock a few points for these issues.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2024Good place to stay if needing somewhere before train etc. Slight confusion when checking in as you need to phone when you arrive but the number didn’t seem to be on WhatsApp - difficult for international numbers… staff were very lovely and helpful. If any issues there is a shop around the corner who helped us out! Loved the map at reception where you can pin where you are from!

The location is real scary. In front of the hotel entrance, a few men sitting and staring to everyone who come. The scariest thing is motorist is gathering there. Taking, laughing and shouting loud. I was in a second floor and the noise is annoying. Please take action.

Easy to catch grabs to the bird park and shopping mall. Can walk to see the local chinese temples. Hot water/ irons available.
Only one toilet roll - provide two would be good.
