Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in der Casa Azehna. Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise hat einfach alles perfekt gestimmt. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Auch die Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass man sich sofort willkommen gefühlt hat. Es gab absolut nichts auszusetzen – wir kommen definitiv wieder und können diese Unterkunft jedem von herzen empfehlen! Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit

Viajamos durante o fim de semana para descansar e a quinta superou muito as nossas expectativas. Lugar tranquilo, muito limpo, som dos pássaros a cantar, funcionários extremamente simpáticos e cuidadosos. Foi uma experiência incrível a repeti. Aconselhamos a quem quiser passar uns dias de descanso. O pequeno almoço era muito bom! A gestora da casa prepara refeições deliciosas para podermos almoçar e jantar! É uma casa cheia de cultura e boas energias.

Le personnel, extrêmement gentil Il y a une âme de sérénité dans la place, à que expiration, le stress s'envole. Nous étions deux adultes, deux enfants et nous avions pris une suite. C'était extrêmement confortable et les enfants avaient chacun leur lit.

La cuisine est très de base, mais suffisant. Vous pouvez vous dépanner, mais ne comptez pas y faire un grand repas.

This bed & breakfast has a rich history, set on a stunning estate that has been passed down through the same family for decades. We received a warm welcome and, after some helpful local tips, were shown to our lovely room. The property features a gorgeous garden and a pool with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards. Every morning, we were spoiled with a delicious breakfast made from fresh local ingredients. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality in the beautiful Douro region!

The location, the garden, the fruit trees, the view on the vineyard were stunning. The staff is really friendly and the owner as well.

We had a family room with a kitchen. Everything ok excepted from the kitchen which should be refurbished. The garden is beautiful but a lot of areas outdoor could benefit from a little bit more attention (garden hoze left in the middle of the path, dust on the outdoor furniture…). Nothing dramatic though and we would still recommend this place.

Tout était parfait . Personnel sympathique, bon petit déjeuner, jolie piscine . Les Jardins sont comme un jardin d’Eden où on peut se ballader doucement au chant du coq. Les oranges et autres fruits tombent des arbres .

Casa storica molto bella e giardino curatissimo e davvero d’effetto. Piacevole passare i pomeriggi caldi nel verde e in piscina. Colazione curata ed abbondante. Staff attento e molto gentile e cordiale.

Adorámos a nossa estadia na Casa da Azenha! A simpatia de quem nos recebeu foi fantástica, o espaço é lindo e muito bem cuidado, e o ambiente é extremamente calmo e relaxante. Recomendo vivamente!

Dans un jardin luxuriant, notre chambre nous donnait l’impression d’être dans un cottage. L’équipement avec tout le confort actuel, et une décoration recherchée, dans les moindres détails. Accueil attentionné avec de bons conseils.

Amazing place to stay! The garden and pool are beautiful and the hosts are so kind and always willing to help with anything. Our host also is an amazing cook, we really recommend to try some of her dinners. The breakfast was also good with lots of homemade things and fruit from the garden.

Pillows were a bit soft for our taste.

This is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! Hosts are simply AMAZING!! the place is idyllic! The gardens are wonderfull! The breakfast is very complete, healthy, and fresh! You need to visit the small chapell they have inside! Lidia gave us so manu advices! The wineyard near is so good as well!

The gardens are unbelievably beautiful! The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. They arranged transportation for us and because of a train strike, helped us obtain transportation to get back to Porto. The owner is a lovely woman who attended to all our needs. A genuinely peaceful, relaxing experience!

Wonderful accomodation tucked in the valleys. Such a peaceful garden and pool area to spend the day relaxing in and a delicious breakfast in the morning

Nothing about the property so to speak, but just for awareness for others. We didn’t have a car so had to get taxis everywhere as shops/restaurants aren’t super close. It was easy and reliable to get taxis so that was all ok

Stunning historic house, beautifully furnished and set in wonderful gardens. Really helpful staff who went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. A great base to explore the Douro.

A short drive from the nearest town, but the staff were excellent at organising taxis.

Acústica do quarto em que ficamos é péssima, dava para ouvir todos os barulhos do quarto ao lado. Na segunda noite, o hóspede vizinho roncou alto a noite toda e não nos foi possível dormir bem.

Beautiful, idyllic property surrounded by lush gardens, tranquil fountains and vineyards, this oasis is a gem. Ivo and his team are the warmest hosts and happy to oblige with any requests. The breakfasts each morning were lovingly prepared and delicious. It felt very much as if one was at home here. Definitely a highlight of our stay in the Douro.

Estava tudo impecável mas o pequeno almoço no espaço exterior foi muito bom.

Heerlijk ontbijt, prachtige tuin, erg mooi en rustig gelegen. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Da história do local, por estar há tantos anos na família. Da simpatia e disponibilidade de todos os funcionários e do jardim da propriedade, que traz um grande bem estar.

Somente do fato de não ter janela na casa de banho, o que fazia o banheiro ficar muito úmido, tudo ficava molhado e não secava facilmente.

Wonderful place! The views on this region are fantastic, beautiful vineyards and nature nearby. Azenha's staff was very helpful, even in advance they help me to figure out things in the hotel and region. Owner was also in the property, and everybody so friendly and great at their job. The property itself was beautiful and cozy. You can even walk among the vineyard in the backyard. Azenha has nice garden and yard with places to relax and read. Dinner was served in the yard, homemade and really tasty food with regions best wines. Breakfast was served in lovely room (if weather is fine, served outside). Breakfast had many local ingredients and was very good. Room was great, good facilities and nice temperature. Inside the house there were also places to relax and play if the weather is not the greatest. Very homely! Everything was just perfect, I wish we could have staid longer. Hope to visit them again someday.

Only really small minus was the bed. It squeaked when chancing sides when sleeping.

Uma verdadeira casa de família, com histórias e memórias em cada objeto e recanto! Quartos e espaços comuns preservam a traça original mas com toda a qualidade e conforto. Os jardins são maravilhosos, muito bem cuidados, e convidam a uma pausa introspectiva, apreciando o silêncio e paz que transmitem. Todos os funcionários foram de extrema simpatia, fazendo-nos sentir em casa. O pequeno almoço era excelente! Foram dois dias de descanso plenamente aproveitados, iremos repetir!

The hospitality was outstanding! From the moment we arrived everyone was extremely warm and inviting and accommodating to our family. The grounds are gorgeous, offer lots of trails for walking/hiking, and fresh fruit trees to enjoy. Lydia's food was phenomenal. We had a very special time here and would highly recommend to everyone!

This is a beautiful property with gardens, lovely patios and places to sit and quietude. It was close to beautiful drives. The breakfast was outstanding and the room charming with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We loved our two nights here and highly recommend it.

Everything! This is a gorgeous historic property. The gardens were peaceful and beautiful. I enjoyed walking the vineyard's hills. The staff was extremely accommodating and very helpful!

The breakfast had everything you could want - yogurt, fresh orange juice, bread, croissants, cheese sliced meats ans eggs cooked to order. Also hot coffee of course!

Unser Zimmer für eine Nacht war etwas klein und eher dunkel.

I loved the location among the vineyards. The garden is nicely laid out among the pretty buildings and well-maintained. Very peaceful. The roses and fountains were lovely, even in rainy late October. The staff are very obliging. There’s always someone around offering help (not obtrusive though). Ivo is a real gem, always willing to help with recommendations and reservations for restaurants, wineries, boat tours, taxis. He’s very knowledgeable and sweet! The kitchenette in our little house was well-enough equipped for simple meals. And breakfast had plenty of options.

Overall the history of the place is charming but in our little house there was just too much stuff - old books, display cases of mismatched china and vases etc. I do think there are renovations planned and maybe they’ll keep that in mind. When you’re travelling it’s hard enough to keep track of your belongings without the distraction of too many decorative objects.

Gostei do ambiente rural da casa da fazenda, muito bem cuidada e decorada. Tem alguns vinhedos em vota também. Fiquei num quarto com varanda e fiz uns queijos e vinhos à noite. Funcionários atenciosos.

O quarto não tinha cama de casal, mas 2 de solteiros. A localização exige deslocamentos por taxi até Régua, que custa 10 euros. Fomos a Pinhão de trem e a Lamego de ônibus sem complicações. Tentamos alugar bikes mas achei caro, 40 euros por 8 horas. A região é bonita mas exige planejamento.

Beautiful house and garden Classical style and comfort

The staff went above and beyond to help us out with transportation and dinner reservations. The property is amazing and was within walking distance of 2 wonderful wineries. If you are looking for a relaxing stay where you feel like extended family, click no further.

Local agradável, pessoas simpáticas. Estacionamento dentro da propriedade. A localização é bem interessante pois permite movimentar-se com o carro facilmente, inclusive visitar Lamego.

Apenas sugiro que os proprietários modernizem um pouco as instalações.

Casa da Azenha is a little paradise in the Douro Valley. The property is stunning, with a spacious garden surrounded by vineyards. It’s family-owned, and you can truly feel the warmth and care in every detail - our stay felt like visiting beloved relatives. The apartment was beautifully decorated, and the beds were very comfortable. I can really recommend Casa da Azenha to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a dreamlike location!
