Cabañas Villanita

We were booked in for a week and no one was there to meet us, called the lady who told me she had no booking for us and hung up the phone in my ear, we were left outsude the gate homeless, had to get an uber and dropped at a lovely hotel who took us in even though we had no booking, later the lady messaged to say she did have our booking and we could go there, it was already an hour later, did she think we were just going to stand at her gate all evening, not mpressed

Sehr herzlicher Empfang durch die Gastgeberin. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir haben tolle Tipps von Ana Maria bekommen, uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Es gab von unserer Seite nichts zu beanstanden

Sehr nette Gastgeberin die viele Tipps gibt. Das Häuschen ist klein aber ausreichend. Die Dusche hat warmes Wasser und genug Wasserdruck.

In dem kleinen Häuschen fehlte ein Sofa oder eine bequeme Sitzgelegenheit. Es war alles da aber wenn man sich einmal bequem hinsetzen wollte fehlte das. Ansonsten war die Küche nicht besonders gut ausgestattet und einige Dinge schienen nicht gut geputzt zu sein. In der Küche waren manche Sachen etwas verschmutzt und im Bad relativ viele Haare.

A anfitriã foi maravilhosa. No 1o dia nos levou para explicar a cidade, e ficou muito fácil de nos localizarmos e ainda nos deixou num café. Nos ajudou em tudo que precisamos. Inclusive providenciou um transfer para nos pegar no aeroporto, então a chegada foi super tranquila.

La cabaña es excelente, la ubicación es buena (a unas cuantas cuadras de la plaza y del mercado municipal), y especialmente la calidez y hospitalidad con que la sra. Ana María nos recibió y nos ayudó... hasta nos permitió quedarnos hasta después del checkout para no tener que hacer tiempo en la calle con nuestro hijito de 8 meses.

Cabaña limpia, ordenada, con todas las cosas necesarias para una estadía satisfactoria. Buena ubicación respecto al centro y la costanera, se puede llegar caminando. Ana María estuvo muy preocupada de nuestras necesidades desde antes de llegar, siempre ofreció ayuda y soluciones.

Creo que el acceso a las cabañas se podría mejorar, es complejo para personas con problemas de movilidad. Solo como sugerencia, se podría añadir un sofá para un mejor descanso luego de jornadas largas recorriendo la ciudad.

Aan de bovenkant van de stad ligt Villanita. In de tuin staan 3 Chalets. De huisjes hebben 2 slaapkamers, keuken ( waar koffie en kruiden staan)en eettafel en badkamer. Heerlijk bed en heel rustig slapen. Anna is geweldige gastvrouw, geeft veel tips ( zoals t geweldige lunchcafe Wake-up!) en spreekt goed Engels.In 15 minuten loop je naar t centrum!

The cabaña was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The sheets and towels were of high quality, and the heating system worked very well to keep us warm at night. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Ana Maria, who speaks fluent English, was a kind and generous host, full of advice about Punta Arenas, and even gave us some eggs, bread, cheese, milk, etc. for breakfast when we arrived late in the evening, tired after a day's sightseeing near Punta Arenas. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. I highly recommend Villanita, a short drive or a 20-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. We didn't want to drive in the evenings, so when going out took an Uber or taxi, which was only about $3.00 USD. Next time I visit Punta Arenas, I will try to stay at Villanita again.

The property was well set out with everything you could possibly need. The owner was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The location is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre and the main boat terminal and has a direct view of the Magellan Straits.

The apartment is compact but well designed with large windows and a nice open view. Ana Maria is a very helpful host who has thought about many details in order to make stays comfortable. The apartment is well equipped and basic foods are available such as coffee, tea, sugar, spices, etc. Heating and WiFi work very well. The neighborhood is quiet with a small supermarket only a block away. It takes about 20 minutes walking to reach the center. We definitely recommend la Villanita!

it was a great spot for our needs. it as a bit of a walk from downtown, but we actually preferred that. the rooms were small and the bathroom was even smaller, but we had everything we needed and our host was very kind

Clean place, and easy to walk to La Yegua restaurant (which is the best in town). the corner store is also walking distance away. Host is very helpful and a pleasure to talk to.

Our stay at this lovely little cabin was a complete delight from beginning to end. The wonderful host Anna Maria met us upon arrival, making check-in very easy and stress-free, and provided excellent local recommendations. The wi-fi is faster than any connection I have ever had in Canada! Beds very comfortable, parking secure, and kitchen well-furnished. Location quiet but still walking-distance to restaurants/shops. Would definitely stay again with no hesitation.

I have no words for this beautiful place. Clean, spacious, dreamlike and overall wonderful. Ana María, the owner assisted us with everything and was the kindest lady. Even when we continued our travels she said to just contact her if we ever needed help. If you have the opportunity to visit - don't hesitate. It's a little oasis run by a most wonderful lady.

Ana Maria was exceptional! She went out of her way to inform us, assist us, and ensure we were happy and had all we needed. She was attentive and a brilliant host.

Tuvimos una excelente estancia en Villanita. La Sra. Ana Maria nos hizo sentir como en casa. La propiedad muy limpia y accesible hacia todas las zonas de interés. A pesar de haber llegado noche, Ana Maria nos espero y no solo eso, nos acompaño explicándonos sobre las actividades que podríamos realizar aun siendo media noche. Este nivel de atención es invaluable.

We really enjoyed staying at Villanita. Ana, the host, was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive to our needs, extremely knowledgeable about Punta Arenas and Chile in general, providing us with lots of information about where to visit in the area. The apartment itself had two bedrooms, one with an enormous bed, a fully equipped kitchen so you can make a proper meal if you are not wanting to eat out all the time, important to us. It was well heated, clean, comfortable and only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. There is secure parking in the grounds definitely for smallish cars. I don’t know if large 4x4 type cars would fit down the driveway. Maybe. We would happily recommend Villanita as a place to stay for up to 4 people in one apartment. There are 3 apartments in the grounds. If we return to Punta Arenas we would wish to stay here again.

We like really hot showers and had problems getting the water hot enough for our satisfaction. There was no means to fill the sinks with water, neither in the kitchen nor the bathroom as there were no plugs. We have stayed in a lot of places throughout Chile and this is a regular issue for us, which means wasting a lot of water when washing dishes or washing face in the bathroom. We come from a dry country so wasting water is something that we find disconcerting. So when travelling in Chile take a universal plug with you if these kinds of concerns are yours as well.

Location was very convenient to walk to the city center. Apartment was clean and very bright. Ana was an amazing host that provided excellent information and she was very accommodating.

Ana was an amazing host. It was more like visiting family than staying at a hotel. We came without any Spanish, and she helped us with everything...laundry, staying an extra night, recommendations for groceries, restaurant recommendations. Perfect stay for us. I loved that it was so quiet because I'm a bit noise sensitive.

Ana was FANTASTIC!! She helped us with other locations when she was booked up and notified us immediately when she had an opening. The property is very well maintained and managed. Like a little jewel. She treated us like family.

The cabin was well equipped, well located for walking to town and Ana ( our host) was most welcoming, helpful and a super lady!

Our host, Ana Maria is amazing. She was fully accessible to assist us in any way we needed and was great to chat with. The little house was so cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed and was within walking distance of most of the places we were visiting in Punta Arenas.

Sign is hard to see and narrow driveway a little hard if cars are parked on both sides of the road, but off-street parking is a bonus. Kitchen is well-appointed, good pots and pans. Helpful host.

We had a lovely stay at Villanita for 5 days in March, before setting off to Torres del Paine National Park. Ana speaks excellent English and is beyond helpful. She arranged a taxi to pick up my husband at the airport when his plane got delayed and arrived at 1 am. She printed out ticket confirmations for us. She had great shopping suggestions (Balfer in Zona Franca for hiking gear) and even gave us a ride there. The two bedroom cabin is very cute with a full kitchen. There's a grocery store around the corner so it was easy to cook some of our own meals. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the business district, but the area felt safe and it was extremely quiet. Highly recommend Ana and Villanita!

Best kitchen facilities of any place on this trip

Excellent location and well equipped, modern accommodation. The host is very kind and responsible with excellent communication. Car park is locked, safe and easy to access.

Ana is excellent, she help us plan our trip before we arrive and even continue advise our foregoing journey after we were out.

The good news was that the property was clean with a good shower and a comfortable bed. There was a kitchen with everything needed to prepare food. This unit did not include breakfast and there were no restaurants close by. The bad parts: it's in a very sketchy neighborhood, although the property itself is behind a locked gate, it is not a neighborhood to walk around in at night. The light in the bathroom did not work, although the property manager tried to fix it, she brought the wrong light bulb and it was not fixed during our stay. Also, the toilet was broken, requiring manual flushing and turning off the water at the wall. Finally, the owner has stopped accepting anything but cash. She informed me of this after I had already left the States, luckily I had my debit card with me. Altogether not a very good experience.

Very friendly and helpful host Ana Maria. She helped us find a grocery sunday evening and brought us there with her car! Very nice cabanas with everything you need. I would definitely come back on our next trip. Check in and check out time flexible.

Ana was such a special host! She provided much more than was expected. She was helpful w local restaurant suggestions, was willing to take me to a lookout of the town, and helpful w everything along the stay. Ana had a knack for educating about local Patagonia history. The condo was very clean. It had all the amenities one would need. The views were very nice as well. I would highly recommend Vilanita to anyone looking for a place to stay in Punta Arenas! You will not be disappointed.

So easy through Whatsapp to connect with our host. She was wonderful, even leaving us a small present on Christmas Eve. Super helpful with making reservations for dinner, suggesting a place to go for a penguin tour and just checking to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Wifi was great, with no issues. Cabana was super cute, everything we needed including a private room for my wife and I. Loved the stay! Gated parking, so didn't have to worry about the car. Couldn't have asked for more!

Ana Maria who owns and manages the property is very sweet and welcoming. We organized to have her pick us up at the airport and it was so welcoming to land and see a friendly face holding up my name on a white board. Not only is she super sweet and caring, her villanitas are PERFECT. We had 4 adults stay here, perfect for couples and families. It had a kitchen with everything you needed, a bathroom with a shower and an amazing towel rack that warmed our towels and dried the clothes that got wet in the rain, and most importantly the bedrooms were clean and the beds and sheets were COMFORTABLE. We spent 3 weeks in South America and paid for hostels and hotels that ranged from $12 USD- $600+ USD and I will say that Ana Maria's Villanitas was one of our favorite stays. Highly highly recommended! Also, walkable distance to the nearby markets, food places, etc. We definitely would come stay here again.
