Beautiful Kathmandu Hotel

Had a wonderful stay in the heart of Kathmandu city in Thamel. Amazing Roof top swimming pool to relax yourself, even got my foods and drinks served at the roof top with amazing view of the city, super friendly and welcoming staffs, comfy beds, spacious rooms and cleanly set up bathroom. Best Foods and service with a lot of options on the menu, buffet breakfast in the morning was a highlight. They even organised for my travel itinerary. Highly recommended for those who are planning to check in.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was great, the location was beautiful and convenient, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The amenities were excellent, and the whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike. Everything was well looked after and made our stay very comfortable.

But the real highlight for me was the swimming pool on the rooftop—it was absolutely beautiful, with an amazing view. ❤️🏊‍♂️ Overall, a lovely experience and definitely a place I would be happy to stay at again. located just outside the tourist zone, so very quiet. Staff extremely helpful organizing tours, transport, or with international phone calls to solve problems.

The Beautiful Kathmandu Hotel situated at perfect location just near the dustle and bustul of Thamel, just 15 minutes walk to Durbar Square and 30 minutes to Swoyambhunath temple both under World Heritage site. The staffs are ready to help with full of smile, accommodation are very luxury. Highlight is swimming pool on the rooftop with snow-capped Ganesh Himal mountain range. Many choice of breakfast included fresh fruits. Highly recommended. Will visit again with family.

Wasn't a great experience.. my friend already paid for one night in cash. They said she didn't and got very unfriendly towards me. Didn't feel right at all. Also had a cockroach in my room and saw multiple on the stairs (didnt have that in any other place in nepal). Wouldn't recommend going here!

Établissement situé dans une rue plutôt calme, à l’écart de l’agitation de Thamel mais en même temps, très proche à pied. Juste à déplorer que le terrain en face de l hôtel est un terrain en construction et que les travaux commençaient généralement aux alentours de 5h du matin 😬 Le petit déjeuner, à la carte, offre différentes possibilités de déjeuners, très complets et très bon. Le personnel de l’hôtel est vraiment très souriant et serviable, rien à redire.

L’hôtel n’est plus de première jeunesse, on constate qu’il a bien vécu : les joints de la douche dans la salle de bains sont usés. Le fond de la piscine mériterait un bon nettoyage et les transats d’être remplacés.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns wurden Taxis organisiert und zum Geburtstag sogar ein Kuchen als Überraschung geschenkt. Für den Preis passt alles - kein europäischer Standard, aber es ist sauber und man kann dort gut übernachten. Pool auf dem Dach ist ein Plus!

Breakfast was traditional nepali food with option for western fare. Always tasty. The staff was nicely attentive to my needs and always asked me first thing in the morning if I needed anything. The manager checked in daily. He was very kind and allowed me to stay a few hours past checkout which allowed me more time in Kathmandu before my flight. Good security, someone at the desk 24/7. Never got the chance to try the pool, since my schedule was packed. Great central location.

The only thing I missed was a good cup of coffee. They had a powder instant coffee.

Comfy place, friendly staff and great place to stay

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We had a late flight and they allowed us to stay past checkout time. The room was very clean and comfortable with great aircon and a wonderful breakfast as well.

Het personeel was dag en nacht heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De receptie zorgde voor alle vervoer en stelde een citytrip voor op uw maat geschreven. Ook bewaarde ze je bagage tijdens een trip naar een ander locatie. In het restaurant kun je zeer lekker eten. En tot slot is er een prachtig zwembad(je) op het dak met zicht op de Himalaya.

Voor ons was alles prima, doe zo verder.

Right around the corner from a busy street in Kathmandu, it provided a lovely little break away from the hustle and bustle. I could see the Himalayas frome window in my room (but I had to shift a bit and look right, because the direct view is just to a building next door) Beautiful view of the city from the rooftop, complete with (quite small) pool

The pool is not as large or as beautiful as the photos can lead you to believe. It’s a little tatty, and the limescale on the glass walls mean they’ve seen better days. I changed my stay two to one night, and had a confusing conversation with the man on the desk who insisted I pay the commission for the booking in cash, even though it did not match the amount quoted on Booking.com

Meget venlig og imødekommende personale.Vi ønskede en guidet tur til Nagarkot, som hotel værten var behjælpelig med at arrangere til topkarakter. Dejlig morgenmad med buffet, som var meget varieret. Værelserne er rene og pæne. Behageligt at der er lift op til værelset. Hotellet har en komfortabel placering tæt på alt og alligevel et roligt sted. Hotellet kan varmt anbefales. Vi har været ovenud tilfredse de 6 dage vi boede på hotellet

I stayed at BKH before, in between, and after tracking trips. The location was ideal for Kathmandu based starting point. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the management is attentive, breakfast is included, and the rooms are spacious.

I should have taken better advantage of the rooftop pool, only used once, relaxing, and reviving

Le nettoyage de la piscine est fait un peu tard dans la matinée. L'eau prend beaucoup de temps à chauffer dans la salle de bain.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was pretty big and clean. Breakfast was good. Very good location and close to everything you need in Thamel.

Wifi was not good, streaming services on Tv therefore did not work.

The staff, headed by Mr. Sujith, were all very polite and helpful. Mr. Sujith himself did everything to make us feel at home. Located on a bylane in bustling Thamel, the hotel is quiet and beautifully maintained, and the rooms are as comfortable as they can get. An elevator makes access that much easier and the breakfast buffet is good.

Set on a quiet street, but only a few minutes walk into main area of Thamal for restaurants and shops. Lovely rooftop pool with comfortable sun beds. The manager was very helpful in booking bus tickets, taxis etc, and stored luggage while I was away trekking. I was welcomed back from the trek as a friend.

The pool and roof terrace area were a little oasis of calm after a hectic day in Kathmandu, with excellent sunset views over Monkey Temple! Staff so helpful and friendly and hotel is in a great location for easily getting into Thamel. Would absolutely stay again in future!

The hotel staffs are very helpful and very attentive and very cheerful . Location is away from noise and crowds, is a walking distance to Thamel. Can’t compare the hotel with others , but hope they can improve the hot water system .

Stayed here before and after a trek. Our room before was horrible - tiny, dirty, smelled like sewage, the hall was super loud, and there were a bunch of pigeons living right outside the window of the room constantly making noise. The room after was much better and more like what was pictured in photos. There were a few positives though: free breakfast (which was pretty good), a really friendly and helpful manager, and convenient location in Thamel. Honestly would look elsewhere - there are better places to stay in Thamel.

Compared to other places we stayed, this was a bit more expensive. Hotel could have been a bit cleaner, but nothing major. When I stayed there was really noisy building work happening at the hotel opposite- not their fault but it was annoying!

This hotel is a perfect little relaxation hub in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Thamel. Beds are super comfortable. Rooms are clean and decorated well. Breakfast is quite simple but still very tasty. The swimming pool is real gem. The best of all though was the staff, particularly the manager on the front desk. He was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Highly recommend.
