Hotel was within walking distance of tourist spots, eateries, local souvenir shops, trekking gear, spas and dentistry if you need.

The service in the restaurant was good

I paid extra for a heritage room, to get a balcony, but it looked out on a brick wall so was disappointed.

Central location, very helpful staff with all your inquiries. Value for money.

Breakfast hours are late, would like to start at 6am as I was under jet lag being from Los Angeles

It was a good hotel with most modern amenities.

TV was very old model and wasnt a sony or a samsung or other name brands. It didnt have Wifi or YouTube. Which was a big and the only flaw in our experience as it is now standard in every hotel. Thats pretty much it.

Hospitality and management is most liked apartment from the property ! They have fulfilled our expectations and requests no questions asked. Thank you Mr. Ram.

The roof terrasse with Bar is beautiful and cosy. Lovely Drinks and Good Food. Outstaning was the support by the Front desk for organizing sightseeing Trips in Kathmandu and surrounding. We covered the 4 Main Spots in one day , private car for 5 people and Guide for ca. 15.000NPR . They also organized our flight to Mt Everest which was stunning. It is 5 mins walking distance to other Restaurants, Main shopping streets and 10 mins from historical Center. We saw Kumari the Living Goddess at 5pm there. If we happen to com back, we will definitely stay there again.

It appears as if there is a Pool on some of the pictures, but this is just a beautiful fountain…

Breakfast was good and it was served in the roof top restaurant where one could enjoy amazing view of city sky line and the mountains surrounding the city.

The rooms were a bit small and we couldn't properly keep our luggages in place, and one of the lights of the room wasn't working or else everything else was very good

Amazing staff, so bright and friendly! We only stayed here for a night but we had a great stay, the room is super clean and the beds were comfy. Overall the hotel had a peaceful atmosphere which is perfect for when you are staying in the city and need some quiet after the chaos that is the hustle and bustle of Thamel.

The hotel has a high standard, the staff takes perfect care of all your needs, really professional. I asked for a calm and I got one in the back and it was peaceful. The breakfast is served at the rooftop terrace and the view is just as great as the breakfast! They have a restaurant at the top as well. Its in walking distance from the centre and could also walk in half an hour to the Durbar square, just follow the street with google maps. The hotel also arrenges taxi's for more distant locations. (yet the price is higher than standard prices). Just a great place to stay!

The taxi prices by the hotel are a bit more expensive, I suggest you use the taxi app to get good prices. Everything else was great!

It is located near the Thamel market. Nice property. Staff are very good. Food of the hotel are also very good.

por decir algo, nuestra habitacion quedaba cerca del restaurante asi que a las 6.30 ya se escuchaba ruido y si tienes sueño liviano como yo te vas a despaertar.

The rooms are very big, doesn’t feel cramped even when your luggage is all open. The staff will help you in every way possible

Bardzo głośna okolica hotelu. Nudne i rutynowe śniadania. Jedzenie w restauracji na dachu jest bardzo średnie. Ciasna winda. Hotel zasługuje maksymalnie na 3*. Transfer hotelowy nie przyjechał na lotnisko. Spodziewałam się czegoś lepszego w tej cenie.

Comfortable, good-sized room, and the views from the rooftop restaurant are really nice. The staff were always very friendly and helpful.

Overall a decent stay, but there was a drainage issue in the shower that caused water to overflow onto the bathroom floor. Hopefully it gets resolved soon for future guests.

I loved the Timber House location, right in the heart of the Thamel district with shops close at hand. Having the restaurant and bar areas on the higher floors allowed for a lovely view of the city and sunset when having food and drinks. My room was big with a great bathroom, I especially enjoyed having a bath. The food I had in the evening was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the hotel, but maybe there could have been a bit more variety of food for breakfast.

The stuff was really amazing and they have a very beautiful rooftop. The food was average.

Sehr ordentliche und gut gelegene Unterkunft, schönes Zimmer, gutes Essen und gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir sie gleich wieder vor dem Abflug gebucht haben.

Die Lage ist sehr gut, zentral. In der Nähe viele Restaurants und Temel. Man kann auch zu Fuß zum Durban Squere laufen. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war gut, auf der Dachterrasse serviert, sehr schön da.

Das Badezimmer beim Duschen sieht unter Wasser, aber so baut man leider in Nepal. Ziemlich laut im Zimmer, da direkt an der Straße.

The location is perfect. Very near and convenient to shops, cafe and restaurant. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok, nice rooftop with pretty view. Friendly staff as well.

I only had 1 night here after being on a tour. My room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Check-in was easy. Plenty of wifi around the hotel. Rooftop bar and restaurant. Located in Thamel - easy walking to the other areas for shopping and food. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay at Timber House by Tara Group. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a lovely vibe. The team was extremely courteous and kind enough to upgrade our room, which we truly appreciated. The location is very convenient—close to the airport and within easy reach of Thamel and other key spots, making it perfect for a short stay. Overall, the service and comfort made our experience very smooth and enjoyable.
