It was close to town, We booked two rooms, but since there weren't any interconnected rooms, we were provided with a family room which was great for a family. Staff were very friendly. Simple but good breakfast

Il y a eu une coupure de courant la nuit, on a passé la nuit sans courant et sans Clim, aucun effort n’a été fait. Sachant qu’il y avait quelqu’un à l’accueil qui n’est pas venu vérifier le disjoncteur dans le couloir…

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was large, clean and tidy. The location was fantastic and walking distance to the main sights and shops.

Although our room and the reception area were great, the dining area was a bit run down and the buffet breakfast wasn't quite as good as other places. This was a minor detail and we would happily stay there again.

Petit déjeuner désorganisé avec peu d'options , même pas un jus d'orange. Salle non climatisée inconfortable.Restaurant et bar qui semblent être abandonnés, on peut juste commander des boissons en chambre. J'ai du aller me restaurer ailleurs.

Posizione centrale vicino a mercato e via pedonale, stanza ampia e silenziosa, bagno con doppio lavandino, doccia chiusa,tutto pulito, piscina sul tetto. Non abbiamo usufruito del ristorante in quanto appena fuori c' è un' ottima pasticceria non turistica per fare colazione immergendosi nell'atmosfera locale

Very good. Traditional Sri Lankan Tamil breakfast. We liked it very much and enjoyed the food. Very honest and courteous employees and very helpful.

Super vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam personeel. De locatie is gunstig.

Het is een erg oud pand. De kamers zijn ook erg oud. De badkamer had schimmel en weinig druk op het water in de douche. Donkere kamer. Balkon aanwezig maar je kon er niet zitten of je was drogen dus daar hadden we niks aan. Ontbijt was goed. Maar de tafels erg vies. Het zou veel helpen als ze gewoon even een emmer sop maken en de ramen en tafels poetsen. We werden 4 keer gestoord door gasten die hun eigen kamernummer blijkbaar niet konden onthouden. Maar daar kan het hotel niks aan doen. Wc bij de receptie erg vies. Kakkerlakken aanwezig.

The staff was excellent and very cordial. Everyone knew customer satisfaction from the receptionist to the kitchen staff. The manager could speak Sinhala , Tamil and English was a great help. To my surprise the one owner too was present and made us feel like home at all times. Must say that the reception staff went out of their way to satisfy us whenever we wanted assistance. I booked this hotel for my parents and some family members and they are overwhelmed by the hospitality of the staff. The rooms have been spacious and clean with all the facilities included. Breakfast was very tasty if you can add some jaffna authentic food such as Dosai and vadei it will be an add taste for peoples whom are specily liked to taste south indian spicy tastes

Very nice hotel, about 10 minutes walk to the train station. Not far from Jaffna centre. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast served 😋Staff are lovely. Restaurant in the hotel serving lovely Sri Lankan food. I had a nice stay here. There are restaurants nearby, including Burger King, as well as local foods.

Lots of mosquitos in Jaffna, so keep your windows closed.

after room lock and come out , it is dark , the light out side doesn't work sometimes , it is off. it is better check otherwise it is diffcult to insert the key for door openning

Highly recommended Subhas Hotel which is located at a centralized location in Jaffna town. All the places we wanted to visit including our favourite restaurants, railway station, liquor shops, places for worship, supermarkets etc are in walking distance away. Good staff. Worth the money.

The breakfast was great. All staff were excellent.

Room decor could be better. Like the blinds were not working and torn, needs replacement. Some simple pictures and other decorations will help. The hose near the toilet was constantly leaking. Wifi should be more reliant, Cable TV will be great.

Subhas Tourist Hotel is a well managed property with friendly staff who were kind enough to allow us to check-in rather earlier than planned. The breakfast was simple yet delicious!

Counters could be kept in 2 separate tables . One for the local Cuisine and other for international cuisine. This will help the travelers to enjoy the meal more. More local flavor can be added eg. Coconut

Great hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Situqted walkable distance from the town. Loved the breakfast which was complimentary. Aruna was very helpful. Wifi connection was good and I was able to get my work done.

It’s a nice cheap classic hotel near Jaffna market, the room was clean and staff very attentive.

Breakfast could have been warmer and a bit more English from the staff may have made things a little Easier but only slightly.

Every thing

Surrounding was dirty, lot of mosquitoes,asked the front desk to spray our room which they did. The front desk spoke a little English. It’s very difficult to communicate with them . Be prepared to bring your own toiletries. I won’t be back . All pictures shown in the Expedia were deceiving. What you see in the pictures were wrong.

Need more maintenance

Subhas hotel is a great place to stay in Jaffna. It is located in the heart of the town and well-connected to other parts of the Peninsula and to the South by train and bus. The owners and staff were very friendly and always there to help us out. We definitely recommend Subhas hotel and look forward to return in the future! Thanks for a nice stay!

Even though say they have a restaurant we have to order early if we need food.

Staff were very much customer focused, always willing to help in a prompt manner at any time. The WiFi and AC were excellent compared to last 3 very expensive hotels I stayed in India. Very close to the city centre shops. I will be returning again in 8 months time for 3 weeks of stay again.

The breakfast was excellent, featuring a delightful array of options that truly set the tone for the day. Overall, the food throughout my stay was fantastic reminiscent of home cooked meals that are both comforting and satisfying. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The location of the accommodation was ideal, conveniently situated within walking distance of Jaffna town center. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jana.
