Quicksand Rasdhoo

Majiteľ je veľmi milý. Zobral nas z prístavu a pomohol s transferom naspäť. Ukázal trochu ostrov a vždy bol ochotný pomôcť. Dostali sme raňajky v deň príchodu grátis a taktiež late check out. Každý deň sa upratovalo na izbe. Dal nám upgrade izby zadarmo.

- Raňajky by mohli byt zdravšie a viac zeleniny a ovocia - Internet na izbe slabý - Celý čas bolo počuť kompresor na vodu akonáhle niekto pustil vodu. Na spanie nič moc.

El personal es muy amable, siempre con una sonrisa y ayudando en todo lo que pueden. La habitación muy grande, con un pequeño sofá. Balcón enorme

It’s cozy and in a good location. The staff is lovely. Food is very good. And they plan a lot of good experiences/tours.

The staff was very kind, communicative, and helpful. We payed for 7 nights but only could stay 4 (entirely our fault); they offered a dinner for compensation and 20% discount on their tours. We enjoyed the dinner and would like to congratulate the chef.

We found both the room name, “Villa Delux,” and the photos somewhat misleading. For the price, the room felt quite small, and the outdoor area, with just one chair and two small tables, offered very little privacy as it is located right at the hotel entrance. Guests and staff are constantly walking past. The breakfast was buffet only one morning, on the other days they served fixed portions.

Nos pareció acogedor, además están empezando a organizar salidas y excursiones. Nos gestionaron la llegada y la salida sin problema. Me encantó que el encargado ayude a los gatos callejeros y los alimente, eso dice mucho de las personas.

Personal muy amable, habitaciones amplias, muy flexibles con los horarios de checkin y checkout. Las excursiones que ofrecen son de alta calidad y buen precio. El trato es diferencial. Desayuno muy bueno. Tienen servicio de lavandería propio.

The staff were very kind and helpful but I feel they are expected to do far too much! Walk to beach within minutes.

Facilities poor and dirty! Fridge had mould in it, bath did not work, furniture and bedding stained. Sharp metal piece on stair handrail tore my dress...could have given someone a nasty cut! Not worth paying the extra for balcony that has no view and overlooks entrance area (no privacy) One morning guests were served mouldy bread for breakfast

El precio es un poco elevado para lo que realmente es la habitación. En la foto parece más grande y nueva. Te la venden como una villa superior y simplemente es una habitación con balcón. Hay muchas cosas de la habitación que están rotas o no funcionan (el grifo del lavabo se salía, la TV no funciona, los ventanales no se podían abrir). Las camas no eran muy cómodas y se hundían. Un día pedimos un tubo solo para snorkel y nos querían cobrar, en otros hoteles los tiene gratis para los huéspedes, por lo que unos amigos nos lo dejaron de su hotel. Esperaba mucho más.

Very lovely and helpful staff. Good price/value. A quite hotel in a peaceful island. They upgraded to family room which is so nice. Island's beach and water is not so good for swimming or snorkeling, but staff help you to arrange excursions, we did so.

Do not expect so much for breakfast variety but still it's ok. Hotel doesn't have restauratnt but there are good options near arround.

Te hacen la habitacion pero no te cambian los vasos ni tazas utilizadas. El wc estaba roto y todo y decirlo no lo arreglaron en toda la instancia.

El personal ha estat molt agradable i servicial en tot moment, sempre amb bona predisposició. L'habitació i els llits són còmodes, confortables i nets. L'esmorzar està força bé, és un bufet amb varietat de productes.

Ens van allotjar a una habitació que encara que estava bé, no era la que havíem reservat a peu de carrer.

El hotel está muy bien, muy cerca de la bikini Beach ,tiene todo lo necesario (aire acondicionado, nevera, baño completo dentro de la habitación, ventilador….), las camas son muy cómodas. El personal es muy amable y muy servicial, siempre dispuestos a echarte una mano.

El desayuno me pareció un poquito flojo, me hubiera gustado que hubiera más variedad. La ducha tenía poca presión de agua.

Die Unterkunft überzeugt vor allem durch das sehr hilfsbereite und freundliche Personal. Auch die zentrale Lage ist top. Jede Ecke der Insel ist in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar.

Laut älteren Bewertungen dürfte die Schnorchelausrüstung früher kostenlos gewesen sein. Mittlerweile muss man dafür einen kleinen Betrag bezahlen, was aber auch völlig in Ordnung ist.

Personal amable para todos, te esperan y te despiden en el puerto, lo que facilita llevar las maletas en un cochecito. Las habitaciones cómodas, limpias cada día y espaciosas. El desayuno perfecto, huevos, fruta, tostadas, mermelada...

Un hotel increible y la ubicación immejorable. Todos los trabajadores muy simpáticos y agradables, sobretodo GIHANTHA quien estuvo siempre atento a todo. La habitación muy amplia y comoda. Nos gustaria destacar los desayunos que fueron distintos cada día y todos riquísimos (pudimos probar desayunos tipicos de Maldivas también). Sin duda repetiríamos!!!!

The best hotel on Rasdhoo! We felt so comfortable from the moment we arrived that we completely changed our travel plans just to come back and stay here again. That says everything about how much we loved both the island and Quicksand Rasdhoo. The rooms are comfortable, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the entire staff made us feel at home. El trato es excelente. Todo los miembros del staff son súper serviciales y amables. Hicimos varias excursiones con Suxein y Siyhaan y son pura entrega. No se cansan de enseñarte todo y dan lo mejor de ellos mismos, preocupándose para que disfrutes la experiencia al 100%. El chef de Sri Lanka cocina MUY bien, toda la comida deliciosa. El otro chico de recepción (y camarero) de Sri Lanka también muy agradable y atento. El hotel está a 2 minutos andando de la bikini beach. Habitación y baño bastante amplios. Todo muy limpio, el chico que limpia siempre atento cuando te vas para lavar la habitación. También muy amable. Un equipo de 10!! Si volviéramos a Maldivas, repetiríamos sin duda.

So happy with our stay at Quicksand. We were looked after very well by Ali and the team, even with a last minute booking. Bed was very comfy, location was perfect and staff were super friendly.

A spacious room with a comfy bed. The garden is nice. The pick-up and drop-off at the jetty works great and the employees are very helpful. Also a plus is the free drinking water available

Unfortunately the pictures do not represent what the rooms look like in reality. In the superior double there is no private outside seating and to change one has to close the curtains because everyone (guest & employees) walk in front of the room. In the room were 4 lamps and only one works. Devil is in the details... Breakfast is included and from 7-9am, however its not a buffet but an arranged plate and when I had breakfast at 8.30am the omlette was cold since it wasnt freshly made but probably standing in the kitchen since 7am. The next days I had Mashuni Roshi in a restaurant.

La verdad excelente todo. La habitación muy amplia y cómoda y a 2 minutos caminando de la bikini beach.

We loved the balxony to dry our wet (diving) stuff. Nice the staff thinks with you and proactive helps you with the speedboat transfer.

The airxo in our room was okay but could be a liitle bigger/more xool faster. This is just a very very minor thing that could be better.

Me encantó la ubicación al lado de la bikini beach , la comodidad de la cama y la amabilidad del personal. Además había al lado un restaurante maravilloso a la entrada de la playa creo que era DROP BEACH CLUB porque además es un club de buceo, con diferencia donde mejor se come de toda la isla , bonita decoración ,comida excepcional y con jazz de fondo., así que el tándem perfecto. Tengo que decir esta reserva la hice con oferta de Booking del 50% y tampoco pagaría el doble la verdad..

El desayuno era bastante flojo. La playa debería cuidarse mejor por gente local con esa tarea, había bastantes trozos de cristales en la orilla y un tarde quitamos además varias botellas de agua vacías y hasta un cubo de pintura de 5l, esto no se puede permitir en este paraíso por favor!!!

Ali was super friendly and helpful, you can definitely count on him to help you with transfer to and from the place. We can't recommend him enough!

Bel etablissement à 200m de la mer. Chambre spacieuse et claire. A noter que le balcon n'ofrre aucune vue spécifique et n'a que peu d'intéret sauf peu etre pour fumer.

Attention aux moustiques... Le petit dejeuner est copieux mais restreint en fruits et limité à un choix occidental. Le prix / prestation est un peu élevé en comparaison avec un séjour préalable à Ukulhas.

The toilet and breakfast could improve for the price

First impressions, a pretty boutique style property in a private secluded garden setting. Ali met us at the jetty and walked with us to the hotel; he was very welcoming. Ali was also extremely helpful as we had a few issues during our stay, not least due to the developing conflict in the Middle East; he tried to help us with communication to the airline/airport etc. The internal garden area was kept clean and tidy at all times.

The breakfast wasn't great; there was no Maldivian option, however there was fresh fruit and usually some form of eggs. Some of the rooms face the kitchen area, so you hear them preparing breakfast very early in the morning (around 4am). Depending on the other guests, it can be very noisy around the hotel, with doors slamming and people being generally loud, especially when there are children running about.

Ние сме доволни че за нас правеха омлет , но плодовете бяха винаги малко или ги нямаше. Благодарим на готвача направи страхотна риба.

Stuff wasnt friendly, breakfast were poor and the feeling was unsafe - the main door always was open. Luxus villa and Superior villa were just an ordinary, worn out rooms and in one of them the doors at terrace was broken, overpriced. The pictures are more beautiful as reality. We were disappointed with this hotel.

Ali est incroyable et tres arrangeant et de bons conseils. Il nous a organisé notre.voyage de retour vers Thoddoo un dimanche alors que officiellement il n y avait aucun bateau. L hotel est tres bien placé, proche de bikini beach.

Des equipements ne fonctionnaient pas mais cela ne nous a pas gêné.

Ne-a plăcut absolut totul. Locația foarte aproape de bikini beach. Curățenie exemplară, personal foarte atent și dispus să te ajute cu orice ai nevoie. Micul dejun gustos. Totul la superlativ.

Сразу скажу, что на Мальдивы мы летаем уже более 10 лет и раньше это были репорты, но последние 5 лет осваиваем локальные острова. Я без претензий, мне нужен океан и подводный мир, но человеческие отношение и минимальный сервис я ценю! Единственное, что понравилось- это расположение, относительно пляжей. Гест стоит на перекрестке ( налево пойдешь на один пляж попадешь, там кстати классная кафешка на берегу с потрясающим видом и смузи, на право пойдешь- на другой, а там как раз есть приватный пляж, о котором напишу ниже

Персонал на раслабоне. Столы грязные, к завтраку нет молока и они бегут в соседний магазин и все бы ничего, мы без претензий, знаем куда едем, если бы не случай в день отъезда! Мы должны были ехать на другой остров и трансфер был на вечернее время ( уже не помню, но что-то около 5 вечера). Гест у нас был оплачен по пограничный день и по факту в 12 нам нужно выселяться. Я спросила как нам быть. Сразу скажу, что мы могли и выселиться, оставить чемодан и отдыхать на пляже. Но нам сказали, норм, оставайтесь. Мы ушли на пляж, уехали на снорклинг и нас ожила ещё одна поездка на песчаную косу ( по 20$ за троих, 60$ мы отдали). Но тут прибегает мальчик из отеля, что нам нужно вернуться в отель и переехать в другой номер. Ну ок. Я и муж пошли, дочь Осталась на пляже. Придя в комнату нам сообщают, что наша вечерняя лодка сломалась и по плывет только утренняя и нам нужно на ней быть….. внимание!!!!!! Через 30 мин! Мы мокрые, у нас не собраны вещи и дочь на пляже!!!!!!! Так быстро я ещё никогда не собиралась. Мы поехали мокрыми, надев сверху вещи! А если бы это был аэропорт? А наша экскурсия за 60$. Нас сильно торопили, я чувствовала себя как гость, которого гонят просто поганой метлой! В итоге поставили чемоданы в кузов, посадили дочь и бортик ( как они это предлагают всегда и взрослым людям тоже) и тут этот бортик открывается и моя дочь летит на землю! Огромная гематома на ноге на весь оставшийся отпуск! Муж поехал с чемоданами, я и дочь пошла пешком и при этом на нас ещё пытались наезжать, что мы задерживаем катер! Управляющий геста прибыл на пирс тоже, но не со словами извинения, а с разменом наших 10$ ( при заселении у него не было сдачи) и вот он прибыл вручив мне мокрой у катера эти 10$ со словами не тут ли у меня сдачи 3$!!!!! Серьезно? Нет, принципиально не оставила ему эти 10$! За 7 дней он не нашел размена и стоя мокрой с чемоданами на пирсе я точно 3$ не найду! Это меня вообще просто повергло в шок!

Absolutely amazing location and brilliant staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Room was spotless. The trip they organised was the highlight of our whole 2 weeks in the Maldives! Thank you to Ali especially.

Cuando viajas a un pais como Maldivas tienes grandes expectativas. En nuestro caso, no solo las cumplio Maldivas y Rasdhoo en particular, sino que el personal de Quicksand hizo que nuestra estancia fuese una maravilla. La habitación limpia, el desayuno rico y la ayuda que te ofrecen para todo hace que, si tuviera que volver a Rasdhoo, volvería a Quicksand sin pestañear.

La colazione voto 1 , sempre uguale !!! Quattro cose in croce ne cambiano giusto una pietanza ogni giorno ma poi sempre uguale e sempre fredda (uova fritte, wustel, fagiolata , tutto sempre freddo o caldo se ti alzavi alle 7 forse) La guest house si affaccia proprio su una casa in costruzione , in cui mettono le tovaglia ad asciugare .

We had a great stay at Quicksand Hotel. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location is perfect , just 2 minutes from the beach. I would especially like to thank Ali, who made our stay truly exceptional. He helped us with airport transfers, arranged for the boat to wait when our flight was delayed, and was always very polite and helpful. Even after we moved to another island, he continued to assist us with transfers, saving us time and money. A wonderful experience, especially thanks to the warm and caring staff.

Hotel is great. But the bikini beach may feel a bit shallow, and there are many coral remains, so coral shoes are definitely recommended.

El personal muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudarte. La situación del alojamiento está en el centro de la isla, muy cerca de la bikini beach. El desayuno es bueno, a excepción del café que es soluble aunque como en la mayoría de alojamientos de islas locales en Maldivas. La habitación tenía una cama cómoda y con aire acondicionado. Si los deseas cada día te hacen la habitación y te cambian las toallas. Antes de entrar a las habitaciones tienen una chorrillo con agua para quitarte la arena de los pies. Ps: Recuerdos para todo el equipo y también para Ginger! 😺

Falta de luz en la habitación porque solo funcionaba 1 de las 4 que había. Un problema que hay en Maldivas, son los olores de las cañerías. En este caso, al abrir el grifo de la ducha subía el olor. Como opinión personal, podría haber una cortina más opaca.

Es gibt ein Frühstücksbuffet. Das einzige Hotel, was keine Gebühr bei der Zahlung mit Kreditkarte verlangt. 3,5 bis 4,5 Prozent verlangen andere Hotels. Das Speedboot von Male nach Rasdhoo kostet über Ali dem Manager des Hotels nur 35 Dollar. Andere Hotels nehmen 40 Dollar und wiederum eine Gebühr bei Kartenzahlung. Jeder auf der Insel kennt Ali. Selbst bei ausgebuchtem Speedboot würde Platz für Alis Gäste gemacht. Unser Zimmer war groß, sauber und modern. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel. Handtücher zum Strand gibt es umsonst. Tolle Unterkunft.

The location is really great, so close to bikini beach and there are some restaurants nearby that are really nice! We were picked up and dropped off at the harbour. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was buffet-style and good. The room was really comfortable as well and good sound isolation. It was cleaned every day. Really fair pricing for what you get!

The only point which was weird is that we booked a snorkelling tour through the hotel and the boat left us for 20 minutes. We are strong swimmers so when they asked if we needed snorkelling guide we said it was not really necessary. But then we didn’t expect to be left completely alone and if something would have happened, nobody could have helped us. The boat came back after 20 mins to pick us up but we thought it was really weird they left without saying anything and that this was unsafe.

I had a truly fantastic stay at Quicksand in Rasdhoo. This guesthouse offers an absolutely unbeatable location that made exploring the island incredibly easy and convenient. The geographical location is superb—everything I needed was within a three-minute walk: the beautiful beach, a nearby sports field, some excellent local restaurants, and even the island's only hospital. This level of accessibility is simply wonderful! Beyond the location, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I want to give a special shout-out to Ali, who was always smiling, incredibly friendly, and consistently ready to help guests with anything we needed. I am especially grateful to Ali because I carelessly left my wireless earphones in the room, and he found them and made sure they were returned to me. Thank you so much, Ali! Your honesty and helpfulness truly made my stay memorable. I highly recommend Quicksand to anyone visiting Rasdhoo.

Loved this place! Cozy, great vibe, and super friendly hosts. I felt at home from the very first minute. The buffet breakfast was great, and they even picked me up at the pier and dropped me off on my last day. Near to bikini beach and main road!

It has not hot water, at least in my room the days I stayed. Everything else was perfect.

Quicksand Rasdhoo ist ein wunderbarer Ort. Mein Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett sehr bequem und die Klimaanlage schön leise. Hotelmanager Ali und die anderen Mitarbeiter sind immer hilfsbereit und total freundlich. Ali ist der Katzen Papa der Insel und nimmt die kleinsten und kranken Straßenkatzen bei sich zu Hause auf und kümmert sich mit ganz viel Liebe um die kleinen Seelen. Wenn ihr also noch Platz im Koffer haben solltet und ein Herz für Tiere bringt bitte, bitte etwas für die Katzen mit. Vitaminpasten oder Pulver, Mittel gegen Durchfall oder aber auch Nassfutter 😊😻

The location was very close to the beach. The owner waited for us at the ferry and also took us to the speed boat when arriving. The staff was very friendly, especially the owner. We received breakfast on first day even though official checkin was later. There was mosquito repellant in breakfast area, which was helpful as there were nasty ones on the island.

For one day the water in the bathroom smelled like sulf. Breakfast was same every day. There were some strange noises during the night (maybe some water pump).

The hotel’s location is perfect – just a two-minute walk to the beach, maybe even less. The manager who picked us up and took us to the port was very kind and extremely attentive. We arrived in the morning by ferry and were pleasantly surprised that we could have breakfast that same day, which is quite rare, and our rooms were already prepared for us. The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with a safe. We highly recommend this place.

The breakfast staff could check and refill the food more frequently, as the containers are quite small and tend to empty after just a few guests. It often takes around 15–20 minutes for them to be refilled. The musty smell in the bathroom is, unfortunately, quite common in the Maldives as there is no AC and is hot.

Personal muy amable. La habitacion estaba limpia y la cama era comoda. Desayuno correcto (a tener en cuenta que estamos en una isla local). Cogimos algunas actividades con ellos y estuvieron muy bien. La isla es muy pequeña,llegas andando en pocos minutos a cualquier sitio. Muy cerca de la bikini beach.

El baño podria estar mejor mantenido.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfectly organized from the beginning until the very end — including today’s breakfast and the smooth boat transfer to Malé. Ali and his team were truly exceptional: kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They made us feel so welcome and cared for throughout our stay.
