Great service as always. the view of LA was amazing. We got a top floor overlooking sunset. Room service was available and the food was very good. Never left the room and we got all that we required to have a great day here.
We had a suite upgrade and it is a very spacious room-it feels like an apartment! The pool is delightful overlooking the hills. The hotel is quiet which makes sleeping a dream!
Our room smelled of mildew. It was so strong that we did not stay the night. The pool that was advertised was occupied with a special event.
Great hotel with excellent location, amazing views & a wonderful team that truly values its guests. Highly recommended for anyone visiting LA in General & West Hollywood in particular.
The Andaz was a wonderful hotel. The view from the rooftop is awesome... The staff was great and friendly. I recommend getting the breakfast rate as well.
We took a girls trip to LA with my friend and our daughters. The Andaz was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. Juliet at the front desk was definitely welcoming and gave us great information on LA sites and places to eat. We loved getting to know her. Also, the bartender was great and we loved sitting in the bar and talking to him. His service was top notch. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also, the location was safe and lots of places easily around to walk to and venture out. Definitely a good one in LA.
What a great hotel. It was a pleasure be greeted by Francis and Zoe. Their energy, attention to detail and managerial skills are the best. I am very impressed with their enthusiasm, communication skills and professional demeanor. The breakfast was fantastic.
Great location. The hotel was modern, clean and had great customer service. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and room service for dinner. The room was large, super comfortable. I wold highly recommend this property.
Until we checked in we didn't realize this is the famous Hollywood "Riot House" hotel of the 1970s. lol. Our room was huge. The hotel is clean and nice and well decorated. The one dinner we had there was well prepared and fair priced. And the location is central to everything we came to see and do in LA. Would def stay here again.
We love it here! Beautiful property and some of the most caring staff in West Hollywood! Juliette and Nadia at the front desk were so kind and accommodating. This has been an amazing experience!
Then Andaz accommodated another week-long business meeting for us and did a fantastic job. Food and beverage were great, and all dietary needs in our team were met. But the best part was the service. Their event staff was onsite for the entire event and responded immediately to any needs that came up,and the whole week went very smoothly. I've worked with their team for 3 years now, and it's always like visiting family.
I have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times in recent years, mainly for these reasons: 1) nice rooftop pool, 2) central location, 3) crazy proximity to Comedy Store (i’m a big standup fan). It has always been a step down from the majority of the rest of the Andaz brand - very tourist-centric, thin walls, rooms in need of a good refurb, etc. Despite all that, I have been staying there for the reasons above (plus it’s a lot cheaper than the nearby hotels). Sadly, though, this will be my last stay. I arrived at 7pm on my check-in day and was quite matter of factly told that my room wasn’t ready. I was flabbergasted. I had been traveling all day and I had never heard of a room not being ready at 7p. I was offered two drink tickets for my burden. My TA called 3 times to try and sort out why this happened and what could be done to make it up to me … and she was hung up on 3 times. Totally unprofessional and unbusinesslike behavior. Who does that? Then yesterday I worked in my room in the morning with the do not disturb sign out. When I left in the early afternoon, I told the housekeeper on the floor that I was leaving and had taken the DND sign off my door and asked her to kindly make up my room. I was surprised when I came back at 6p-ish to find the room hadn’t been made up. So I called down to the desk to ask them to send housekeeping to clean the room. I was told “we’re so sorry, sir. We will take care of it immediately”. So I was REALLY surprised when I came back at 10p and the room STILL hadn’t been made up. To me, these are signs of a poorly managed hotel OR one where they just don’t care about the customers. This morning as I was about to check out I was emailed by an assistant manager who said she was taking off the destination fee for two of my three nights. Finally, my TA is part of the Hyatt Prive program where TAs who do a lot of business get extra perks for their customers, like a welcome amenity and an F&B credit, etc. As I was waiting for my room upon check-in, I perused the free snack area by the front desk. When I got upstairs to my room, my “welcome amenity” was a collection of these same free snacks (plus two water bottles)(See pix attached). For those who haven’t been through a TA with such status, the welcome amenities are usually things like a bottle of wine or some fancy chocolates or what-have-you. Thanks so much, Andaz West Hollywood! 🙏🤦🏻♂️
The staff is amazing and wants nothing more than for you to feel comfortable and taken care of!
Nothing, we’ve stayed here before and will again.
I’ve Stayed there around 4 times…my daughter lives in West Hollywood. It’s a great location and I love the coffee and the roof!
Sunset blvd room had a beautiful view, but be prepared for a noisy night, even on a high floor. Close to a Times Square experience but without great sound insulation from the street. The rooftop pool has gorgeous almost 360 view of Sunset and Hollywood Hills. Arrive early morning or late in the afternoon to grab one of their cool nested loungers. Great bartender service. Love the free snacks at reception. Biggest complaint was having to change rooms due to a leaky and rusty shower, that should not have been assigned to anyone without making proper repairs first, so that is a quality control issue. Fun vibe and location, would possibly give it another try.

I was really looking forward to staying here, but unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing. Our first room was not only in poor condition, but I considered it unsafe and unsuitable for guests. We immediately raised our concerns and requested a room change. After that, we ended up having to view/swap through five rooms before finding one that was acceptable. I spent 85 dollars at tj maxx on cleaning products and air fresheners in an attempt to make the room smell better. My sister and I spent an evening cleaning the room, its furnishings and the walls to eliminate the smell of cigarettes. Issues included broken blinds, a cold shower, missing headboards, poor maintenance and a general feeling that the rooms had not been properly checked before arrival. One of the most unacceptable issues was the condition of the bedding. The bed had visible stains that appeared to be male bodily fluid stains, which was completely unacceptable and very concerning from a hygiene perspective. We were unable to use the hotel pool as there were crowds of people smoking cannabis up there, the whole floor stank of drugs. For a hotel of this reputation and price point, the standard of accommodation was shocking. Guests should not have to repeatedly move rooms just to find somewhere that feels safe and has basic working facilities. The staff did try to assist with room changes, but all the rooms are of the same standard and the problems should never have occurred in the first place. Upon speaking to staff and managers we were not the only people to complain, and when describing the atmosphere at the roof top pool, the guy at reception agreed that it was like "a swingers club" Zoe a new manager was in our room for over an hour trying to assist in cleaning and making the room usable. Sadly, this has been one of the biggest disappointments of our trip and not the experience we expected from a hotel of this level. This hotel is a 2* at best, do not be fooled by the grand reception area as when you go beyond that and into the actual hotel it feels more like Alcatraz, gloomy dark corridors that smell of urine with HMP style grey doors. The immediate feeling upon walking into the room is one of a teenage boys bedroom, bright green/blue walls, dark brown wood effect furnishings, stained chairs, with basic to zero facilities. Even the bathroom feels like a prison. I would never cosider or recomend this hotel if you have children of any age. Do not stay here if you expect 4* accomodation, or anything that a Hyatt brand praises themselves on.
Breakfast staff great, front desk staff very friendly (by and large) - the hotel staff generally try to be very helpful. Breakfast for Globalist is wonderful. Clean in the middle of the action. Avoid lower level floor if you are sensitive to noise or use an ear plug
My wife and I have made the Andaz our second home in Los Angeles for almost 30 years and hundreds of nights. In all this time, the property consistently delivers at the highest levels. Much of the staff has been there for years, and management is super smart to recognize that they know how to deliver the best guest experience. One observation I've made, is that even a guest who might be on their first visit, is welcomed as a member of the Andaz family. My wife and I often engage with others, whether at the pool, the restaurant, the bar, even in the elevators, and we invariably hear raves about the property. One of the most telling signs about the way people feel about the Andaz is that we are part of a large group of return guests, some of whom we see regularly. If you have a trip planned to LA, definitely consider the Andaz. In addition to having the best rooftop pool and bar, it also knows how to acknowledge loyalty, whehter or not you're a member of the World of Hyatt program or not.

Expensive, nice upmarket public areas, stunning roof top pool area, room itself not worth $350 per night, limited view and no ceiling lighting, so dark. fabulous friendly waiting staff. Not much in the immediate area around the hotel but central for taxi rides to tourist features and importantly within the Waymo zone. Loud noisy guests partying at 3am were quickly shut down once I could eventually get hold of reception staff.

I have stayed at the Andaz West Hollywood property several times over the past few years and I have witnessed the customer service and the cleanliness sharply decline each time. This last time, was the worst. THE UPSIDES: The Andaz West Hollywood is very conveniently located on Sunset Blvd, walking distance to restaurants, shops, comedy clubs etc. This is probably it's best feature. The restaurant is decent and the dining area near the windows is bright and airy. The parking / valet staff in front is very friendly and great at keeping things moving. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE (FULL CONSTRUCTION ZONE): During the first morning of my most recent stay (last week), I was abruptly woken up by the sounds of loud hammering, buzz saws and construction workers blasting their radio. I opened the door to my room and was shocked to see a full construction zone in the two rooms DIRECTLY ACROSS from mine. At no time was I warned about this or asked if I wanted to move. This prevented me from sleeping in AND from doing any work in my room. I had to reschedule zoom calls with clients. If you are looking to relax or to work, THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU. This happened all day for 4 days in a row (until the friday before July 4th). It appears that they are pulling out the carpet and putting in cheap laminated wood flooring. I can imagine how long it will take to do this in every room of the hotel. To make matters worse, I wrote a detailed note in the follow up email the hotel sends after guests leave and the manager wrote me back and basically said "sorry for the noise and the cleanliness and they hope I'll stay with them again in the future." The RIGHT thing to do would be a partial reimbursement for the stay since 1) I could not sleep past 9am due to construction 2) I could not work in my room due to construction, 3) could not use the pool over the weekend due to private event (see next section). ***If you cannot sleep or work in your room or use the hotel's advertised amenities, guest SHOULD BE COMPENSATED*** POOL OVERCROWDED AND FREQUENTLY BOOKED FOR EVENTS: When I arrived on a Sunday, I was informed that the pool was closed due to a private event. It was a Sunday, during summer, and the pool was not open to hotel guests. They should have notified us via email AS SOON as this event was booked so we had the option of booking another hotel (there are many great ones nearby) with pools. A pool at a hotel in L.A. in the summer is a key draw, and the one at the Andaz was off limits. CLEANLINESS: The rooms are very dark at this hotel, the lighting is minimal and dim (maybe this goes with the rock n' roll vibe they are trying to achieve) but it just makes the rooms feel sad and dated. Further to that, the rooms are just not the cleanest. There was hair dried to the walls of my shower and all over the sink (like someone shaved and did not fully rinse the sink). There was also dust trapped in the corners of the bathroom and there were stains on the white duvet cover on my bed. One of those things could be forgivable, but collectively, they point to a lack of attention to detail and cleanliness. CONCLUSION: You are prob better off looking at the Sunset Marquis or the Pendry or the One Hotel which are all within a 5 min walk. I've stayed at all of these properties and they are considerably cleaner with the significantly better customer service.
First of all, this iconic hotel IS the reason we booked there, and it did not disappoint in any way. We are a family of three (2 adults and 1 16 yr old.) The memorabilia, funky music-oriented decor, and edgy vibe is exactly what we wanted and expected. The rooms were spacious, and knowing that the street side may be rather noisy at night, we requested the view of the hills, which was met. We enjoyed the rooftop pool. Everything was perfect, and we only wish we could have stayed longer.
Valet only parking was fairly pricey, so we opted to park at a garage a short walk away. It would have been more convenient to park onsite, but no worries. It gave us an excuse to walk around West Hollywood more, which is fantastic for music and entertainment lovers!
Camera abbastanza spaziosa, pulita e silenziosa. Hotel situato in buona posizione e tranquilla, vicino alle attrazioni principali di Los angeles, anche se per spostarsi ci vuole un'auto.
Costi elevati, soprattutto per il valet parking. La colazione non era prevista.
This place is worn out
Excellent hotel in the heart of Hollywood. Central location and great service. I would definitely recommend and will stay again the next time that I am in town.
It’s a bit run down and basic. Very different from the nice Andaz properties in Asia. Food is generic American and not fine cuisine Staff does not care and are just doing the minimum
Good value, big room, cool vibes. I liked the free water and snacks. Staff was super nice!!
There’s some outside noise, but they offer earplugs. There were some mini details of maintenance in the room that need to be taken care of. Also the lighting in the room is a hassle, 4 lamps that have to be turned on individually. The bathroom is very small in proportion to the room size. I ordered a lox and bagel for breakfast and it was just ok, for the setting of the hotel, I expected the good salmon, not the regular one.
Pas grand chose
Il fait froid partout sir conditionné à fond partout Équipement sanitaire vieux
The room was good. Large and clean
Location on Sunset Blvd is noisy.
From the moment we arrived nothing was a problem for the staff — they upgraded our room for us complimentary as we were on honeymoon. We were given the Tutti Frutti suite and it was absolutely perfect! 2 big beds that slept myself, husband and then our two children in the other — extremely spacious and super comfortable! Excellent views of sunset boulevard also. The free snacks at reception daily is also a cute bonus. The breakfast option was fantastic — the staff at breakfast were brilliant and always so kind to us and the children! Would recommend here.
Beautiful hotel and great service. Hyatt honors members receive extra Care. The service was excellent in the breakfast was very good
This place is awesome. Great location, great service. We were here for a night at the Hollywood bowl. We will always stay at this Andaz.
Have used Andaz before and considered them a high quality quirky blend. I’d say this one provides a good image in the reception area but that hides tired (albeit good sized) bedrooms. We were also offered a $15 per night upgrade to be at the front of the hotel which we took. In hindsight good service would have provided the best room available without charge and being at the front (street side) meant a lack of sleep from the busy streets. No in room refreshment facilities but you can refill water at water stations across the floors or get coffee and a few complimentary treats (breakfast bars, crisps etc. at reception. Despite this the front of desk were professional and friendly. Rooftop pool was small and busy. They put too much of this limited space to at a cost cabanas that stayed empty most the time they were there. To be fair we wouldn’t come back to WeHo again though, if we did, we’d look for better options.
amazing stay
Do not eat at the overpriced hotel restaurant. Breakfast is not complimentary. $120 for eggs, smoked salmon, sausage, a banana and orange juice is ridiculously overpriced. Furthermore, the hotel doesn't have backup when the hotel elevator breaks, only one service elevator .
Great location, friendly staff, spacious rooms, and awesome rooftop pool. Pool gets crowded so you have to go early. A lot of locals using Resort Pass and the hotel doesn't really monitor it. Right next to Comedy Store and walking distance or short uber to destination places without being in the riff raff. We felt very safe also. Will definitely stay again!
Very nice hotel with wonderful staff and excellent location. Plus, Led Zeppelin stayed there. It's a great place, do it!
We had such an incredible stay at the Andaz West Hollywood, especially as Hyatt guests of Honor, and I truly can’t say enough good things—especially about Jessie and Nathan. We arrived very early in the morning, well before check-in, and I was unfortunately dealing with pretty severe vertigo. The staff went above and beyond to help us get into our room early so I could lie down and recover. That level of kindness and care meant everything to us and completely set the tone for our stay. From there, everything was just fantastic. The breakfast each morning was phenomenal, the poolside service (those icy drinks!) was perfect, and the views from our 10th-floor room were absolutely stunning. We also loved the thoughtful touches—like the complimentary snacks when returning from our day trips and the soda water always available in the lobby. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. It made the entire experience feel elevated and special. We truly cannot wait to come back. Thank you again to Jessie and the entire team for such a memorable stay!
Outdated and musty rooms m, weird layout and lighting
The staff at the Andaz was second to none. The gentlemen at the front desk were absolutely attentive to my needs..genuinely cared about my stay.
I came to Hollywood for a conference and timed my early arrival so that I could spend some time in the sun by the pool. Upon arriving to the pool, all the lounge chairs were taken. I would soon discover that the majority of the people laying around the pool were NOT hotel guests. I had to patiently wait an hour for a lounge chair to become free in order to lay in the sun. The door to the pool did not require the use of a room key. This is an obvious "fix" to reserving the pool for hotel guests only and does not seem like a change the hotel wants to make. For the premium price of this hotel, I expected the hotel experience to match the price and it did not meet my expectations. One of the two elevators was not working during my three-night stay and no one was working on repairing the elevator. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was clean and modern.
Great location, helpful front desk. Great views from the room!
Slow elevators and crazy priced valet parking - $75 for overnight! And took at least 20 minutes to get our car. Outrageous
It has seen better days. The room was exceptionally worn and showed visible signs of not being clean. The staff hide behind the front desk and are barely friendly. Broken elevator .. one working elevator for a huge hotel ... long wait times to go anywhere. I can't imagine ever staying here again.
The Andaz was in a good location in West Hollywood but I wish I had booked another hotel. I couldn't use the pool on the one free afternoon I had because they were setting up for a private party and the alternative pools they offered weren't nice. But my main issue was the absolutely insane party they had in the lobby restaurant. I could feel the reverberation in my bed on the 5th floor. They didn't really compensate me for either of these things so overall I was disappointed. Stay the One Hotel West Hollywood - a little more expensive but much nicer.
The hotel staff and the facilities were A+. What was not was the cost of valet parking that we noted on our final bill - $75/day! Also, the Valet was understaffed and there were times where we had to wait 15-20 minutes to fetch our car.
The hotel is very funky and rich in history. The central location is fabulous for getting straight into the adventures of West Hollywood. The rooms are a brilliant size and were really quiet considering we were overlooking the main road.
The bathroom facilities had panelling above the mirror that fell off in the middle of the night and was being held on with double sided tape. Overall the bathroom could do with an upgrade.
Location
It could use an update.
The gym was better than expected. But overall I wasn’t not impressed. It needs a renovation they’re were holes in the curtain. And the shower missing door had water go everywhere.
My daughter just moved to West Hollywood so I stay here when I visit her from Chicago. I’ve stayed a few times. It’s great…good location between Santa Monica Blvd. And Sunset…there are a lot of places to walk.
Everything was great!
Valet service incredible, quick and friendly
Lots of tipping gets great service…
Trendy type of hotel, which probably wasn't the right fit for my family. Everything felt laid back as opposed to an establishment going out of their way for a professional and upscale experience despite the $500 per night charge. The bathroom might have been the worst I have ever had. Not only was it tiny, but the shower had no door and no curtain, just a glass wall that covered only half of it. With the lack of water pressure due to California law (not the hotel's fault) and the hot water going in and out intermittently, we would get cold in the shower. Terrible experience that made me want to leave. Breakfast buffet was $50!!!!! And was little more than the free breakfast at most Marriott and other Hyatt properties. Pre-made eggs, bacon, and sausage, horrible potatoes, pastries, a couple cereals, and fruit. Felt bad. Bed didn't have a traditional headboard. I found myself at night hitting the cold, hard shelf where the headboard should be. Bizarre. Ice cold water in the lobby was refreshing every day. We appreciated the "free" chips and snacks there as well. I say "free" but I assume it was part of the $40 destination fee we were saddled with every day. Not the worst place I have ever been, but we certainly would never go back.
With the transitioning weather the hotel turned the master heat on. So at night when we tried to turn the temperature down to sleep. It was pretty warm in the room. In their defense, we like to sleep it with it very cold. It was All-Star weekend so traffic was pretty rough on Sunset Boulevard, so entering and exiting the property was a little bit challenging. The property itself was very nice. Great location. Had a little sticker shock at $75 a night for parking.
Andaz is in a great location with a lot to do close by. The room was spacious and the rooftop pool was great. Everything was clean with a nice ambiance. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Constant availability of snacks, coffee, and water was a nice touch.
Never disappoints. We have been coming here for over a decade to celebrate special occasions. A wonderful Valentines Day weekend! This is always a special place for us.
location
the hotel couldn't produce a receipt, and have still not sent it via e-mail, after two requests.
We hosted a two-day event in the Panorama Suite, complete with hotel-wide branding, in-room drops, a 30+ room block, and special arrangements to park Cadillacs out front. The entire team was incredibly accommodating—quick to respond, flexible with last-minute changes, and genuinely collaborative throughout the process. Not to mention the rooms were clean and beautiful, and everyone loved the Andaz-branded water bottles! Anne was especially outstanding to work with. She was consistently available by phone, text, and in person, and truly made us feel supported every step of the way. She kept everything organized, communicated seamlessly with the broader hotel team, and expertly managed special requests including room drops, dietary restrictions, and logistics. Anne took the time to walk us through each component of the BEO and associated costs, ensuring complete alignment and transparency throughout. Her professionalism and personal approach were unmatched. We highly recommend working with Anne and her colleague, Marissa. Additionally, the valet team deserves special recognition—they were fantastic partners and a pleasure to work with.
Amazing hotel, great location. Stunning roof top pool and breakfast had lots of choice and really lovely!
Cool pool area, good room, great bed. Not worth the money in my opinion.
Breakfast was pretty average, rooms were dated, sinks didn’t drain properly.
Nothing this hotel charged my twice for the night !!!!
Over charging staff have no idea what they are doing!!
Terrible staff - they charged me twice!!!
Hotel isn’t worth the price and staff have no idea what they are doing charging my card for unathurised amounts total mess
Gerne wieder !
Ich kann nichts negatives Erwähnen.
Best location, view from the Pool Deck is spectacular. Beds were medium firmness and very comfy.
The hotel was very stylish and very trendy. However, the hotel does feel a little Aged. It may be due for an update.
I arrived at the hotel on my birthday and was completely surprised by the most beautiful room decoration—big golden “Happy Birthday” balloons and an adorable teddy bear. It truly made me feel so special and welcomed. Every detail was thoughtful and heartfelt. A special thank you to Sebastiana, who was in charge of this lovely surprise and made my stay unforgettable. I absolutely loved it and will always remember this experience!
The hotel is in a perfect location, close to everything you need. The staff is outstanding, very friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made my stay even more enjoyable. A nice touch was the complimentary snacks and sweets available at the reception, as well as free coffee and water throughout the day. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed at Andaz West Hollywood from December 24 to December 28 in a standard suite, using a World of Hyatt Globalist Suite Upgrade Award. While there were a few positives, the overall experience fell well below expectations for an Andaz property. The most concerning issue was cleanliness. The bathtub had multiple visible stains that remained throughout my stay. I initially overlooked this on the first day, assuming housekeeping would address it, but the stains were still present on the second and third days. In addition, the area underneath the living room sofa was extremely dirty, suggesting a lack of thorough cleaning. I also found stains on the bed sheets in less visible areas, further raising concerns about hygiene. For a suite-level room, this level of cleanliness is unacceptable. There were also billing issues. I later discovered an extra charge on my credit card that did not appear on the final bill, which required me to call the hotel and wait for a refund. This type of error should not happen and added unnecessary frustration to the stay. Additionally, the room manager promised a goodwill gesture of 15,000 World of Hyatt points to compensate for these issues, but the points were never credited to my account, which further undermined confidence in service follow-through. To provide context, I stayed over 130 nights at Hyatt properties last year, across various brands. Based on that experience, I can confidently say that this stay did not meet the standards expected of an Andaz property or even a comparable Hyatt brand. On the positive side, the location is convenient, the suite itself was spacious and had a unique layout, and the valet parking staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. Overall, while the hotel has potential, the cleanliness concerns, billing error, and unfulfilled compensation significantly detracted from the experience. This stay did not align with the brand standards one would expect from Andaz or Hyatt at this level.
Location and overall experience was great
Not much..
the only thing the front desk staff know is smile and do nothing. On the first day of my stay, my room was not serviced at all. When I contacted the front desk to report this, I was told that if I wanted daily housekeeping, I was required to personally notify the front desk every morning before leaving my room. I was honestly shocked by this response. This is the first time I have ever been informed that daily housekeeping at a hotel—especially a property under the Andaz and Hyatt brand—requires the guest to proactively request it every single day. This expectation was never communicated at check-in. In addition to this, the walk-in shower in my room had completely run out of shampoo and body wash. I contacted the front desk twice requesting a refill. Despite these repeated requests, when I returned to my room that evening, the amenities still had not been replenished. To make matters worse, on my first night I requested two bars of soap. What was delivered instead was a toothbrush. At that point, the level of disorganization and lack of attention to basic guest requests left me speechless. These are not luxury requests—they are the most basic standards of hotel housekeeping and guest service. The combination of an unserviced room, missing bathroom amenities, repeated unfulfilled requests, and dismissive explanations from the front desk reflects extremely poor internal communication and operational management. This experience fell far below the expectations of an Andaz property and significantly impacted my stay. I did not feel taken seriously as a guest, nor did I feel that resolving these issues was treated as a priority.
Excellent location and excellent staff. Easy access to the RocknWalk tour which was amazing.
Holding Deposit taken for 2 Rooms for 4 nights was £900 even though we had paid in advance for the rooms.
Fast checkin.
Road noise is very audible from the room.
Clean, modern, friendly staff
Not alot of restaurants nearby, more diner style.
I will never stay at this hotel again. It was genuinely the worst experience with how many things went wrong and the attitude of staff, especially with what you’re paying for. I requested early check in and connecting rooms, which they weren’t able to accommodate and that was totally fine with me because hotels can never guarantee it. But once I arrived with my party (3 hours before check in) I got in the queue for early check in. I asked the woman helping me a question and she was condescending and passive aggressive which made me feel uncomfortable to ask anything. I waited in the lobby, as did many others awaiting early check in. Slowly, the lobby became empty as people got their rooms but I still waited for over 2 hours until the staff walked by me and realized I was still in the lobby and said she’d check on my room for me and come and update me. She never did and I never got the text from the queue letting me know the room was ready. I finally went up to the desk again to check in and another staff member was there and let me know the room had already been ready…..this was frustrating because there was no communication once the room was ready as promised. I finally get to my room and they gave me the wrong room. I paid for a blvd facing room (100$ more expensive) and they gave me a smaller room that faced the back parking lot. Once I let staff know they gave me the wrong room, they tried to say there’s essentially no price difference between rooms. I had to pull up my email confirmation and THEIR OWN WEBSITE to show them which type of room I got and their prices as shown online. They still tried to say there’s no difference but they’ll fix my room. They also offered to let me stay in the room and they’d take 32$ off. Keep in mind the room I paid for was 100$ more expensive than the room they put me in…they also weren’t apologetic for this at all. I don’t expect much, mistakes happen. But being okay with letting me pay extra for the nicer room while staying in the smaller room with no view was not cool and they were just like oh..okay. I also want to note that once I initially told the staff they gave us the wrong room, she said she was going to look into it and call us. She never did. This was twice now that she said she’d come back with an update and never did. Once this got resolved, which of course took a while, we got our room and the door was jammed and was hard to open to the point it seemed locked. We had to push really hard to get in, which I’ll note wasn’t a huge deal, just inconvenient after the already bad experience I was having. Anyways, wasn’t a big deal until the toilet flooded. It got my clothes soaked with toilet water …we let the front desk know on our way out to dinner and they said they’d fix it. Once we got back, the toilet had still not been fixed because the maintenance man couldn’t get in because of the door being hard to open. It eventually got fixed thankfully but it was just a series of inconveniences. I never write reviews but this was my worst experience at a hotel . I expected more from what seemed like a great place to stay. I do not recommend, I’m sure the nearby hotels are a lot better than the Andaz.
