The location is terrible. I was scared to go outside by myself.

The price should be more in line with the location of the hotel in that it is surrounded by homeless encampments & safe supply centres. Drug paraphernalia can be found on the ground surrounding the building.

The location was good, walkable to the marina and good restaurants. We made use of the free parking, secured by a fence and monitored with video surveillance.

You could tell that the hotel was recently renovated, but some areas were sloppy. The toilet paper holder was broken and resting on the wall, and the shower leaked/ dripped.

Location was close to downtown which was useful

you had to take stairs to get to the elevator, That does not make sense

Construction workers tracked in mud through the whole lobby and all the way down the halls on the 5th floor (where I was staying). The hotel staff didn't seem to care much since the 'big junks' of mud remained there a full two days. Hey workers, take off your d...n shoes before entering the hotel!

There were circles of mould around the drains in both the bathtub as well as the sink. There was sooo much dust on everything that could accumulate dust. The area is not safe and there are unsavory people everywhere. Its not a place you want to walk around whether it be daylight or night. There was a smell that I cant describe but it was not pleasant. We paid $250 a night for a hotel that wouldn't be worth $100. I would never stay there again!

The room was Huge with a Comfortable mattress! And 2 comfortable chairs with a large ottoman; And a desk chair with a large desk top. The clothes closet was large, pillows are comfortable. And Window Blinds keep the room dark. This is an ideal space for somebody needing to complete work before heading to Sleeping Giant! And breakfast was better than any others during my journey.

This is an old dated property. There's been good attempts at renovations but the building remains old and dated. The updates won't cut it. It's an old building in a slum area. Elevator is questionable - door rattles, is dented, floor lights don't work so you have to check when door opens to make sure you're on the right floor. No salt on tables. Public spaces are shabby and uncomfortable. The neighbourhood has druggies and street people - safety would be questionable after dark. Parking is an issue and questionable. We wondered if our car would be vandalized. Over priced for our experience.

The elevator barely worked and took forever. The staff was working their way up to clean, but the entire floor that I was on was filthy with food and trash, dragged all over the hallway floors.

Beds were harder than the floor, no safety latch on our door, room under renovation with cable coming of the wall, dust on the floor, no linen in the room for the sofa bed while they were aware we were to use it, sofa bed mattress so old that it was stained and we were feeling the metal under it while laying on...

Parking on the property was limited, and we had to park across the road. We went once for breakfast and the hashbrowns were cold and they ran out of coffee. The TV guide was dated.

I stay at this property most of the time whenever I have appointments in Thunder Bay, and every stay has been excellent. The rooms are always clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The hotel consistently provides a high standard of cleanliness, and the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is convenient for my visits, and I have always had a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely continue staying here whenever I'm in the area.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a cozy bed that provided a great night’s sleep. The front desk team was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. L'hôtel est un immeuble transformé en hôtel. Les chambres sont joliment décorées et équipées, c'est moderne, on constate qu'il y a eu beaucoup de travail mais ce n'est pas bien pensé pour les personnes mobilités réduites.

Je suis une personne à mobilité réduite. Je stationne mon véhicule dans l'espace prévu à cet effet. Il est derrière l'immeuble juste à coté d'une porte pour accéder à l'hôtel. UNE FOIS ENTRÉE, IMPOSSIBLE DE REJOINDRE L'ACCUEIL POUR LE ''CHECK-IN-'' parce que le comptoir est situé en haut d'une court escalier de quelques marches. Il y a un ascenseur mais il ne dessert pas l'étage pas lequel je suis entrée. Pour joindre l'accueil, il faudrait sortir de l'hôtel et faire le tour de l'immeuble pour entre par la porte principale. Je ne peux pas stationner en avant de l'hôtel parce que le stationnement est situé de l'autre côté de la rue. Si je stationne sur la rue, il faudra payer les parcomètres. DE PLUS, je ne peux pas aller déjeuner à la salle à manger, elle est au même niveau que l'accueil. Bref, absolument pas prévu pour les personnes à mobilité réduite, jeune ou moins jeune, si vous marchez avec un déambulateur, une marchette, ou éprouvez des difficultés pour emprunter un escalier, vous êtes contraints à votre chambre à la condition que quelqu'un puisse vous enregistrer et, au matin, vous apporter le petit déjeuner à votre chambre.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was beautifully renovated, modern, and exceptionally clean, making it very comfortable throughout my visit. The hotel was newly renovated. The breakfast was good & we appreciated that the parking lot was locked at night. The staff were terrific especially the lady at the front desk.

Both times I stayed here I was put in room 201 with a broken air conditioner. The first time I asked for a different room which was no problem. The second time I was so tired I didn’t even bother, luckily it wasn’t hot out. Just surprised they still haven’t fixed it.

Sorry but to many homeless people wondering around . Went to MD and there was a homeless person being very scary and rude . Would not walk to the casino stayed in our room . But hotel was amazing upgraded .

Enfin, le service à la réception le matin a laissé à désirer. La personne en poste a complètement ignoré ma conjointe lorsqu’elle a tenté de signaler qu’il manquait des serviettes dans notre chambre. Un minimum de courtoisie et d’attention envers les clients serait apprécié. Malheureusement, cette expérience ne correspond pas aux attentes que nous avions pour cet établissement.

The property is clearly in a state of change - the murals on the walls and the initial layer of decor lovely - the missing elements were the second layer of decor, the area rugs etc.

The beds had dirt and hair under the sheets as if the bedding was not changed after the previous guests, the shower curtain reeked of pee and there was a ring of dirt in the bath tub. The fridge was dirty and had crumbs and hair inside. It did not feel clean.

Check in was good and parking was free.

The prices seemed a little high for the value compared to many other cities across Canada. Perhaps 40% too high. The location was ok but there were no restaurants within walking distance.

The room had 3 different piles of water and a big hole in the wall exposing wires. We were told we would get a partial reimbursement because of the piles of water we were cleaning up.

We were happy with the hotel overall - enjoyed the retro decorating vibe. Our only issue was the breakfast. The coffee from the carafes was cold, the porridge was soupy and the cereal selection was limited. The muffin and yogurt choices were good.

I liked the room, it was small but adequate for one person. I liked that it was pet friendly and did not have carpeted floors. I also liked the colour/decor of the room.

I had to wait over 30 mins for someone to check me in upon arrival. The cleaning staff had to track someone down. There was concern for safety with the intoxicated people in the area coming into the hotel. There was construction ongoing in the hotel until 9 pm hammering and drilling - we had to ask them to stop more than once. The exits were obstructed with furniture and there was drywall dust throughout the hotel.

The area made me feel unsafe as a single person traveller. There was next to no parking. There was hair on the sink/shower. Area was quite loud and I felt anxious.

Overpowering chemical cleaner smell in lobby and rooms. Immediately asked for refund. Told no, and staff hung up on us. Would have been fine with a cancellation penalty but they would not discuss at all. No offer of different room or credit for future stay. Paid for room we didn’t even use.
