Gute Lage und bequeme Betten
Laundry facility eingeschränkt
Staff so nice! Everything so clean! Bedding was lovely. Enjoy the restaurant very much
Loved everything
Everything was excellent, friendly service in all areas
Clean, comfortable hotel. Love the location to the marina. The food at the Anchor & Ore was good, although we couldn't order exactly what we wanted.
Limited parking. The hotel restaurant, Anchor & Ore, was very nice, however we were informed as we ordered that the deep fryer had been broken for 2 weeks. That seems like something that should have been fixed. There we a lot of vagrants/beggars in close proximity to the hotel.
Rooms were nice, facilities were OK
My spouse had a diebetic reaction and it was late at night. The hotel had nothing to give him in terms of sweets or anything (even to purchase). Something for this hotel to consider. Luckily his reaction was sever or he could have went into diabetic shock.
Great gym, good staff. Afith was very helpful with park recommendations and parking tips.
Pay for breakfast
Lake views are amazing! Breakfasts were excellent! Staff were great .
Nothing
The view was amazing. The harbour park was right beside the hotel. There was a walking bridge to downtown. Very walkable location. The view from the hotel restaurant was lovely. Staff at hotel and restaurant was friendly.
The parking lot by the hotel was public and small. The parking for the hotel that was close was small. The other parking was 3 buildings down. If you are on the top floor the vibration from the HVAC is irritating at night.
Great location on waterfront, very well equipped room, comfortable bed, excellent restaurant and above all, very helpful staff.
Nothing
The rooms were clean and spacious
The area of town outside the harbor can be a little rough
Was very clean and accommodating with dogs
The rooms were spacious and very comfortable.
Insufficient parking for such a large facility.
It was our second time staying at this Delta hotel and the service was just as amazing as the first time. I must recognize the hospitality from the front desk agents that worked the evening of May 30th who went above and beyond to fulfill my request even with the limited resources they had. The hotel itself is upscale and sleep for Thunder Bay and really stands out among its competitors. As a titanium member I was graciously upgraded to a bigger room facing the Sleeping Giant, granted access to the elite pantry and was provided a 4PM late check out. Additionally, after checking in, we were very surprised to find a Persian roll compliments of the hotel. It was very yummy! We look forward to a future stay here as this may be our only preferred option on future visits to our family members. Thank you Delta hotel team!
Hotel was a ghost town, no food or beverage between 2-5 though at 3:30pm, there were people at the bar drinking and we were refused service. We were directed to the pantry. It surprises me that a hotel of that stature at that location has to cut services to save on costs.
We just stayed 3 nights for the first time and found this to be such a happy, uplifting hotel. The service is outstanding and friendly. The rooms modern and clean. There’s a little fridge in the room and walk in showers. I do appreciate a Keurig, so had to learn how to use the Nespresso in the rooms. Not my fav. The bar / restaurant is really the highlight. Floor to ceiling windows provide a beautiful ore of the lake. We ate and drank there. The smash burger was the best I’ve ever had. Seriously delish! We will be back!
The service was excellent
Nothing
Beautiful The marina park the view close to downtown restaurants casino etc
Views of the water. We appreciated the charging station.
Restaurant was expensive.
clean and quiet
the parking lot had no direct access, the welcoming staff quite dry.
Beautiful view of the lakefront. 2 excellent meals at Anchor and Ore. Enjoyed the Friday night live music. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful
Location
Nicest hotel shower I've ever used
Tv was incredibly slow and I gave up using it
Staff was very friendly and made sure to go the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. View of the marina was fantastic. Added bonus is the restaurant was also fabulous!
The view. The man at check in was nice though extremely overwhelmed. The girl in the morning at checkout was helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
For starters, a manager to help when staff is in dire need of support would have been so helpful. Myself and other guests waited in the lobby to be let in our rooms because there were no room keys. Felt uneasy about the safety around not having a room key and I was not able to access elevator without waiting for one busy staff member to use his key so I could get back to my room. I had No toilet seat to properly use the washroom and when I informed staff member was told sorry the hotel was booked so changing rooms was not an option and instead of sending someone up to put a toilet seat on was directed to use their their main floor public facilities. So I went down 3 times in the night to use public washrooms and again had to have staff use their key so I could go back to my room. The shower was filthy and your cleaning staff must learn how to clean a shower properly. I was appalled at the shower floor. There was no way I was going to bring this up to your 1 staff member as he was done with the events of the night and I don’t blame him. He needed support and so did we.
My husband and I traveled from Grand Marais, Minnesota to thunder Bay for our anniversary, December, 2025. We were on the 5th floor and were able to see Lake Superior, the Sleeping Giant, and a wonderfully decorated park with an ice rink that was constantly busy! Parking was easy and free on the side of the building. We are vegetarian and it is difficult to find nice appealing meals, but I did enjoy the appetizers. The rooms are very comfortable, king size bed and we asked for one with a bathtub and it was very adequate. We stayed two nights and would go again in the future.
It’s a beautiful place to stay. Location is good
Not a fan of the entrance way
Parking!
Lovely place right on Lake Superior.
Beautiful hotel on the waterfront
It was all good
Over priced, parking is a nightmare. Front door hard to open, entrance unclean. No concierge, getting luggage in and out was cumbersome. Heating needed servicing when we arrived. Homeless in walkway to downtown eating. Not recommended
Everything was wonderful, especially at check in! Staff are amazing.
Pricy
Was the best stay i have had in Thunder Bay!
Location newness of building
Pillows suck they need to replace old pillows had a shitty sleep
Was a perfect stay
Very awesome place and service. And maybe abit to high on the price per room
The staff were very welcoming and friendly but for the price I paid, I wish the room was a little bit nicer. Upon checking in we got to our room and it smelt funny, like body odour. The room was nothing special and there was no microwave. This was my first time staying in a fancy hotel, so checking in a hotel room that looks just like all the others, was rather disappointing. Also there is little to no parking available.
Grest room Restaurant was amazing
I recently stayed at your hotel and opted to pay an additional $100 per night for what was advertised as a larger, upgraded room. Unfortunately, the room we were given was noticeably smaller than those of the guests we were travelling with, who did not pay for any upgrades. Their rooms included couches, whereas ours did not even have the space to accommodate one. It felt more like a downgrade than an upgrade. Several other aspects of our stay also fell short of the standards we’ve come to expect from Delta Hotels: • Room Service: Meals were delivered in paper bags, which was surprising and felt inconsistent with Delta’s usual quality. • Toiletries: We had to go down to the front desk ourselves to request toilet paper, as none was left in the room. • Towels: The towels provided were extremely thin. Only on one of the four days were we able to get proper, plush towels. • Parking: The parking lot was located over 300 metres away with no security presence. This felt unsafe given the surrounding area. While it appears there is underground parking onsite, it seemed reserved mostly for staff. • Restaurant Options: The in-hotel dining options were very limited, which left us having to leave the property—again, through an unsecured area—for meals. While the facility itself matched what we expected, the overall experience was significantly diminished due to poor service, questionable management decisions, and what felt like a lack of attention to guest comfort and security. To say I was disappointed and overcharged for this stay is an understatement. I hope this feedback helps to address some of the shortcomings and prevent other guests from having a similarly underwhelming experience.
At times the check in had a long line. Restaurant food could have been better, great space. Food ok
Great location with stunning views of Lake Superior from room. Room comfortable, clean and modern. Front desk checking was superb, friendly. welcoming and genuine.
Could do with USB Points both sides of bed. Car park while free is not close to hotel.
The stay started rough, but happy to say the service staff did their best to try to make it better. There was a large event happening in the area of the hotel, this parking and access to the hotel was restricted by parking staff. The parking staff would not let me drive to the hotel, which was about a km away, also the parking staff were unkind and used foul language. I parked and walked to the hotel, they staff were less than impressed with the event parking staff. I walked back to my car and had a second run in with the parking staff. Eventually, getting thru the parking staff. The hotel staff held a parking spot for me which was so very kind. Also the hotel staff gave me access to their pantry (snack options available). This was wonderful as it was fully stocked and had plenty of bottled water. My stay was for two days and two nights. After the first night, I did need the room cleaned so I put the dnd sign on the door handle. When I return that night, the room had been cleaned. This was particularly unpleasant as I had not wanted anyone to enter the room for cleaning. Over all the staff were kind and tried be as helpful as possible, that is most appreciated!
Beautiful location and high-end experience.
Please put your bbq brisket back on the menu - best thing there. Get a new smoker if u have too. Expand on ur parking for gold guest
Fantastic location right on the lake.
Expensive. Parking was a pain.
Beautiful location on the waterfront. Bright and open spaces, rooms were on the small side of usual hotel rooms but appeared clean and stocked. We were given an accessible room as a result of availability and the bathroom was very open and generous. This was probably the reason the rest of the room felt small.
There was no “free parking” spaces left by the time we checked in and the waterfront location with condos and a marina left little room for other options. There was a $25/night (still not secure) parking a maze of a drive away.
The Staff and the view
Nothing
The beds were comfortable
Having to park far away was inconvenient, having no keys for our room was extremely annoying, body wash bottle empty, shower drain was backed up stood in about an inch of water, the view of dumpsters and pallets was gross. I paid $414 for a crappy room that we were in for less than 8 hours. Not happy
For the price of this stay I was very disappointed with a lot about this property . I wasn’t able to get a working key card . The staff did try there best but I was disappointed with this trip
Pretty basic room nothing fancy for the price you pay and only hotel youpay for parking in the city the only difference is its near water i had no choice to say there since other places were booked and my flight was cancelled and west jet didn’t accommodate me it was this or sleep on a bench outside the airport
Hotel was clean, staff was professional and kind, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If I had to say what I didn’t like it would probably be parking when underground or directly outside the hotel was at capacity, was a bit of a walk to get from their off site parking to the hotel. Also no stair access, was forced to wait 45 mins in lobby as maintenance worked to get the elevators fixed.
The Delta TB property is ok, but the reservation by Expedia was not. I paid Expedia for room "extras" including car parking and a gas card, but the staff at the reception had no information about these.
Food was excellent and very nice restaurant
Staff was excellent and the beds were luxurious
It was a lovely place to stay
We have stayed at the Delta for many years when we go up to our camp. Always very happy and we look forward to coming back each year. Staff is very friendly, beds super comfy, the area is (by daylight) beautifully designed, you can go for a walk in the evening and when the weather is good the kids can enjoy the ‘splash pad’ out front. The views from the lake view rooms are nice with big windows. We booked a room with breakfast included and that made the price way more reasonable. Nice breakfast (we liked the breakfast better than the dinner we had). Maybe for dinner go across the road.
This year we stayed for two nights today, each one week apart. The first one was on a Friday when we just arrived flying into Thunder Bay and before driving up to our camp the next day. It was great, we had a great sleep, it was quiet, had a nice breakfast and all was fine. The week after, we arrived from our camp and had a super early flight out on Sunday. That night just felt totally different. Outside there were many ‘sketchy’ looking people. They were loud, weird acting (maybe on alcohol/drugs?), and throughout the night it was loud. People running in hallways, groups making noises and when we left at 4am, there was a lot of screaming outside and again many sketchy looking people just hanging around and making us feel just slightly unsafe having to get our car in de dark from around the hotel. This was not what we expected from Delta Hotel and not at this price point.
They booked me a room, payment went through and when I went to check in, they said we are all out of rooms. I was left without a place for the night with my family.
Parking is a bit of a pain but the location is beautiful and Delta stays are consistently and reliably comfortable.
The property and area is beautiful. I would definitely recommend staying here.
We arrived at the Delta Hotel in Thunderbay on a Tuesday afternoon seeking a room but having not made a reservation. They had only a few rooms left. We were looking to use our free room or points options so it wasn’t a simplel check in. Fortunately we had the grand fortune to be helped by two of the most outstanding customer facing staff ever! Zina and Elma were fantastic!!! Oh my goodness we were so lucky to meet them. They were very patient and kind and helped us secure a wonderful lake view room! The hotel is immaculate and the beds and rooms were so comfortable. The food and service in the dining room was excellent and the jazz band was delightful!
Sabri was so friendly and welcoming and made sure I knew everything about the hotel and it’s amenities.
My Room was a wheelchair access room which was not asked for, the room was not serviced on my first day, the door into the room stuck so bad (Room 721) that you had to force it open, and train behind the hotel kept me up with all the noise
BEST CHOICE FOR A STAYCATION! I decided i needed to extend my road trip for a few days - and though i live here in Thunder bay - thought - try the delta again - and hang out on the marina. great decision. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay - the fish tacos i had for dinner were great. Staff were all welcoming.
Wonderful location on the waterfront
Nothing
I struggled with this review. First, the hotel accommodations and its staff are excellent. The hotel location across from the marina is perfect and fairly priced. Access to the downtown restaurants and bars are excellent. All are within easy walking distance. I am a member of Marriott Bonvoy. My issue with our stay is that the night that we stayed here, there was a wedding going on in the hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the hotel and we heard music in our room which kept us awake past midnight. That was not appreciated. Suggestion for hotel management: when your hotel has events going on; you either needs to manage the noise being generated by the event better or locate guests who are members of the wedding party on the 2nd floor. We needed an early start the next day and this situation certainly did not help us.
The property is located right on the marina park waterfront. Central thunder bay, with easy ammenities like the anchor and ore resturant with complimentary jazz nights. Scenic waterfront views, and marina park events. Excellent food for price, always available staff at front desk. Some go out of their way to help with everything to ensure a comfortable stay. Fast response for most inquiries a guest may have. 10/10 fair priced for the view of thunder bay sleeping giant, marina park and the water front.
The hotel is very clean and the bartender at the Cafe' and Bar was fantastic. She was also responsible for serving us customers that were sitting at separate tables and not the bar and she did a fantastic job of taking good care of us.
The biggest drawback of this hotel is the parking situation. If you are not fortunate enough to get one of the 15 parking spots next to the hotel you will need to park offsite and walk ~3 blocks to get to and from your vehicle. This should be corrected as there is a pay parking lot directly adjacent to the hotel but not complimentary for hotel guests (
